In Hushed Whispers (1×1 with Jikkah)

He was alive, only reminded of so by the way they back of his head ached. He felt sand beneath him, waves lapping at his feet; he was on land. He was on an island, pieces of Nana’s ship washed on land with him, and down the beach was another man, a sailor by the looks of it, were their survivors?

He pushed himself up, though his arms threatened to give out, and he wobbily made his way to the sailor. He felt like he was going to fall over anf throw up again.

When he got to him, he saw the man was very much dead, drown like a rat, a look of horror stuck on his face.
Looking around, he could see only the land on which he stood, the ocean stretching for miles and miles.

He only found more pieces of the ship along with some more dead bodies, unopened crates and the such, but no one living. Soon he came across blood though, fresh blood in the sand along with drag marks. There was no one on the beach that he could see, but the marks and blood lead toward the tree line; had someone really survived?

He followed it quickly, hoping he made it in time. He only knew basic first aid so he hoped nothing too extensive had happened to this survivor.

They hadn’t made it very far into the trees, Motochika able to see the figure through the brush, and when he reached them, he found them slumped against the tree; it was Nana, head slumped forward and still soaked in seawater.

"Oh, Maker.." He muttered and moved closer, "Hey...! Wake up, dammit..!" He tried to force any sea water out of her lungs by pushing on her sternum.

He felt her stiffen and she picked up her head, coughing up another mouthful of water, eyes wide and wild, clearly out of it. She stared at him for a moment before she seemed to relax, recognizing him. “Motochika..?” She was in bad shape, clearly half drowned, covered in scrapes and bruises, and her thigh wrapped in blood-soaked cloth.

“The ship went down... Terrible storm, ’twasnt supposed to happen..” She coughed up a bit more sea water with a groan, picking her head up to look at him again. “Where are we..?”

"Some island, from the looks of it...dunno where..." He looked at the blood soaked rag tied around her leg and moved, "Lemme see..."

She made a noise that sounded like a laugh, not stopping him. “It isn’t good..” She muttered.

Nana winced silently as he pulled the rag away, a bloody wound oozing blood beneath. It was deep, a jagged angry tear in her flesh that almost reached the bone.

"Maker..." He muttered. He sighed and ripped his tunic, moving to the sea and soaking it before moving back, "This is going to really hurt but it'll keep it from getting infected."

She let out a wheeze or a laugh and nodded, looking away from the wound. “Do what you need to... I don’t think I can stand let alone fight you off.”

Nana grunted and bit back a cry of pain, clenching her fists and squeezing her eyes shut. Fresh blood oozed out as the sea water ran through the wound, dripping into the dirt beneath her leg.

“Motochika..” Nana looked over at him, and even though she was exhausted, her expression was now stern. “How did you end up here?”

She looked angry, but didn’t have the strength to stand to face him. “So you stowed away on my ship? You know how I feel about stowaways kind, Motochika.”

Nana scowled, knowing his words to be true, they were both stuck in the same situation, and there was little they could do about it.
