The hunter and the hunted

She looked up at him after he broke the kiss and she reached up, stroking his cheek with her fingers and a soft giggle. "You're right and I'd rather not be stared at more then I am at the moment." she says with a gentle laugh. "So you better go." When he told her he would see her that night, she nodded and patted him on the chest. "Okay. I'll see you later." After he waved to her, she turned and headed into the cafe.

Lucas once again waited until he was sure he was alone. "What have I done?" he asked himself. He was so torn by what happened, not once but twice! He went into the surrounding woods to try and clear his head.

Nikkola endured all of the teasing from her co-workers, walking around for most of her shift with a permanent blush on her face from their words. But all of the teasing was good-natured. The guys were all like older brothers to her. They were protective of her even though they knew all too well that she could take care of herself. But as she worked, she couldn't help but think about what had happened the night before and that morning, this time truely thinking about it and what had happened.

(should we time skip? And i think when he turns...maybe a piece of cloth it stuck to him and she thinks the werewolf killed him....even though it is him)

(Sure. That's a good idea by the way. Perhaps he tracks her down by her scent since they became 'mates'. His instincts telling him to find her and after seeing the piece of his shirt or something, she ends up chasing him all the way out to woods where he over powers her and has sex with her before they both fall asleep and the next morning she wakes up next to him.)

(ok)

Lucas looks at the sky, seeing it was turning dusk. "Nikkola should be out soon," he said getting ready to head back. As he reaches the edge of the forest he freezes. As the sun set he saw it. The moon was full!

Nikkola signed out and grabbed her denim jacket before shouldering her purse. 'Lucas should be here soon.' she thought while heading out of the cafe. She stepped out into the warm evening air and slipped her hands into her pockets as she looked around, glancing once up at the full moon.

Lucas slammed imself into a tree. "No...no..no...nooooowwwwwooooo!" he screamed, his words becoming an ear splitting howl as his face began to contort into a wolfs. His teeth growing longer and sharp as his cloths ripped, his claws cutting into himself a bit as he ripped the clothing off, staining the shreads that clung to him red.

Nikkola was beginning to worry but once she heard the howl, she gasped and was filled with dread. "Already?" she gasped before rushing off towards home. She needed to change into her leathers and get her weapons. Upon reaching her home, she rushed upstairs and threw off her dress. Within minutes she was dressed in her leather pants and a simple corsetted top with boots, pulling some of her hair up into a hair tie before strapping on her weapons. Once she was sure she was ready, she slipped out of her apartment without being seen and went off to find the wolf.

He tore into the town, sniffing the air greedly. He caught her scent quickly and began to run towards her apartment. Poele saw him and fled, but he didn't even bother chasing them, he didn't want them.

Not long after she left her apartment, Nikkola heard the screams of terror from some of the people still out on the streets and she turned sharply. Gritting her teeth, she turned and began running in the direction of the screaming people, her long hair fluttering behind her. The moment she saw the wolf, she pulled out her knife.

He ran past screaming edestrians, leaping onto a car and jetting forward. As he turned a block he saw her, his eye narrowing and he howled out once more "Aaaaoooo!" his voice booming off the buildings and he snarled running at her.

She bared her teeth with a soft snarl before running at him, lifting her knife as she got closer to him, her eyes flashing dangerously in the moonlight as she glared at the werewolf. She wouldn't lit this one get away. Not like the last time.

He snarled and rushed at her. As she took the knife outhe seemed to predict it and he only rushed forward faster and knocked into her, sending the blade flying.

She cried out when he hit her and her knife fell from her hand, clattering to the ground as she fell onto her side with a soft grunt. Looking up at the beast, she saw something that made her heart stop. There, laying on the ground not too far from her was a scrap of fabric that she instantly recognized as part of Lucas' shirt and she reached out, grasping it and feeling the red blood on it. Nikkola looked up sharply and she growled softly as she forced herself up onto her feet, pulling one of her guns out of its holster. "You.... bastard!" she cried.

The werewolf, Lucas, looked at the gun and instantly knew it ment trouble. He leapt onto the nearest building, his claws digging into the wall as he scaled the building up to the top. Seeing that the fight was to her advantage he decided his own home, the forest, might help even the score and so he ran off in that direction.

Snatching up her knife, she sheathed it and threw down the scrap of material before following the werewolf, her boots tapping sharply against the stone street. As she ran after the wolf, she aimed up at him and shot at him but all of the bullets went wide, missing him by a foot or more.

He didn't bother looking back. The bullets that missed him told him she was still chasing after him. Not to mention the sound of her footsteps. She was upset, and distracted, tonight she wasn;tat the top of her game and he knew it, for what reason he had no clue.

When she missed him several times, she growled and shoved her gun back into its holster before jumping up and grabbing onto the over hang of a building and she used it to hoist herself up before jumping up onto the roof and running after him. She moved faster, trying to catch up to the beast.

Despite her best efforts, she was still human and wouldn't catch him on foot. Her chase if anything was making it easier for him as she only tired herself out. Soon the forest was in sight and after leaping down from his roof top he ran into the tree line and vanished.

Upon reaching the end of the buildings, she jumped down and followed him along the dirt road that led up towards the forest but she stopped out just outside of the trees, breathing heavily as she fought back the tears that filled her eyes. Pulling out her gun again, she slowly entered the trees, her eyes scanning her surroundings for the werewolf while she stepped carefully and listened for any movements.

In dark he could see better then her. He waatched quickly as she walked into the forest. He didn't attack, and he would move slowly, every now and then making a small rustle but nothing to loud.

In the dark of the forest, Nikkola's pale blue eyes glimmered brightly with her anger and tears as she slowly moved deeper into the trees. Reaching up, she wiped at her eyes before spinning around sharply when she heard a rustle but when she didn't see anything, she turned back around and continued forward.

As she turned her back to him he leapt out, growling and snarling as he hit her hard from behind. Her gun flying out of her hand as he knocked her to the floor hard. His body bigger the hers, he easily knocked the wind out of her.

When he hit her, Nikkola didn't know what happened. Her gun fell from her hand and skidded across the ground before disappearing into the underbrush while she fell, landing sprawled out on the ground with the werewolf over her. She was left breathless as she laid there, her head spinning. "Oh god." she groaned.
