It was a cold night with the stars and moon shining brightly above the small town. The town seemed almost deserted with nearly no lights on except for the local bars and pubs where the drunkards were stumbling out of. On the roof of one of the taller buildings, a young woman was crouched on the ledge of a building gazing down at the streets with her hand resting on the ledge near her feet while the other rested on her knee.

Her long dark hair fell down around her face in silky locks of black as she watched the streets for her target with her pale blue eyes and she frowned. The night was silent so far. The woman was dressed in tight dark, almost blood red leather pants with a black leather zip-up sleeveless leather vest that was over her long sleeved knee length shirt that matched her pants. Around her thin waist was a black belt and with a large pure silver buckle. She was also wearing black leather gloves and around her neck was a silver cross on a long chord that was wrapped around her neck twice. Upon her feet were a pair of high heeled knee high boots.

Hidden from view at her sides were two hand guns with silver filled bullets and she had a silver knife hidden as well.

The feeling was painful, as the moon rose that night his entire body was screaming. He was hungry, hungry for blood, for fresh meat. His nails had begun to grow longer before they took the form of claws, his finger tip slowly growing furrued. Soon his bod had begun to morph, to hunch low in posture as his skul contorted and elongated to fit the many canines and sharp incisos that formed. His hair spouting out in a sort of mane. As the transformation was complete he through his head back and howled up at the night sky.

The town was close, he could smell the happy victums now, his humanity was no longer dominant was the anmal with in wanted nothing moe then to satisfy it's primal need to feed. He growled before racing off towards the town, his arms scratching the ground as he ran upon all fours.

Suddenly, the woman felt a change in the air and her pale eyes narrowed slightly. She was one of the only means of defense that the town had and the forest around the town, which by the way was out in the middle of nowhere, had werewolves in it.

Narrowing her eyes, they flashed and she stood up straight as she looked towards the woods. "Hmm." she murmured, some of her long dark hair fluttering into her face as she stared at the trees.

He panted, his breath becoming viible in the cool night air. His eyes where yellow and fiery with hunger. His claws tore at the ground until, he was at the edge of the woods. The town was only meters before him, but something told him to stop. His animal instincts kicked in as he sniffed for any form of traps or the smell of humans close by.

He lingered for several minutes before he deamed it safe and with another howl lunged out from the tree line and into the empty streets. He sniffed, the smel of his prey was heavy in this town, it was only feeding his blood lust all the more.

Hearing the howl, she gritted her teeth and turned sharply in the direction of the sound. jogging over to the side of the building she was standing on, she jumped down onto the one next to it that was a good bit shorter. She landed with a soft thud before hurrying towards the end of town where the lycan entered. The hunter didn't want anyone to get bitten because it was hard as hell to stop the infection and more times then not she had to kill the person anyways.

As she got closer, running along the roofs of the buildings, she breathed a little heavier and her breath could be seen in the cold night air.

He snarled as he looked around, but no one was out an about this time of night. Suddenly he smelled something in the air, this scent was fresh. His ears twitched as he heard the foot steps scrambling on the rooftops. She was going to be able to surprise him now and he growled looked to se her figure running in his direction. With a large leap he was on the roof tops as well and he furiously scrambled towards her oncoming form, his claws would crack and beak the shinglesof the roof.

When the lycan jumped ontop of the roofs with her, she stopped with a soft gasp and she stared at it for a moment. He was bigger then the other lycans that she had fought so far. 'Must be a male.' she thought to herself before shaking her head and moving towards the lycan as it rushed towards her as well. She was not about to let him find the people that lived in the town.

He growled onlylunging towards her. His teeth and claws wanting nothing more then to sink into her soft flesh and to taste her blood. He was no vampire, he would consume everything. Bone, flesh, blood, everything. Once he drew close enough he leapt the rest of the way at her his claws extended to grab and tear her apart.

She watched him draw closer and closer to her, her heart pounding hard against her ribs. Just as he lunged at her, she dove out of the way and stood up again before pulling out one of her knives. "Come on you beast!" she spat. Her pale eyes glared at the werewolf, waiting for his next move.

He drove his claws into the root top to stop his acceleration and to turn around growling at her. It saw the knife in her hand. He was not just some beast, even if his instincts told him to lung forward once more his experience told him that the peice of metal in her hand was indeed dangerous.

Smirking, she slowly began moving on the rooftop. She had years of practice of running along the roof tops so she knew how, where and when to step so that she wouldn't slip and fall. Very rarely did she ever slip on the roofs but it did happen once in a while but only when caught by surprise. Slowly she moved towards him, the knife held tightly in her hand.

He growled as she got closer. He reared back and lunged at her, closing the gap between them by several feet. He however didn't lung forward, after getting close enogh his direction came and he lunged from her right.

She slashed at him as he lunged for her but she missed as he changed direction. The sudden change took her by surprise a little and she stumbled to the side a little before slipping on a loose shingle. Grunting softly, she planted her left foot and forced herself up again, keeping her knife clutched firmly in her hand.

Luckily it was a werewolfs bite that would cause the evil infection. Scratches did nothing to actually cause a normal human to go wolf at the full moon, though the wound would heal slowly, but unless it was fatal it would be a problem. He quickly turned to face her as she regained her composure. He leap forward, his body this time colliding into her ad they both fell from the roof top.

As she stood up straight, she felt the bulk of the werewolfs weight hit her and they both fell over the edge of the roof. Luckily it was only a two story house but when she hit the cobble stone streets below, she groaned as the wind was knocked out of her and she laid there in a daze. Blinking several times, she looked around and saw her knife laying on the ground several feet away from her, just out of her reach.

The impact had caused him to break from her. He was shaking his own shock off before he noticed that she was now without a weapon. He quickly rolled back onto his hind legs and growled at her.She was most likely still armed, she would have more then just a small knife after all.

She slowly sat up and pressed a hand to her forehead as she shook her head. Her back hurt something aweful and she knew that she would deffinately have several bruises in the morning. Hearing the growl, she looked over and slowly staggered onto her feet, ready to pull out her hidden guns that were beneath the long shirt she wore. But if she needed to, she had another long knife hidden as well. She never went out without plenty of silver weapons.

Seeing her hands move to retreive something he once again went forward, this time his jaws open ready to bite into her most likel soft flesh. Females where always the most tender after all.

Seeing him move forward, she quickly whipped out her 9mm centerfire ruger pistols and she took several steps back away from the approaching lycan towards her knife before fireing at him once. The silver filled bullet grazed his shoulder before lodging itself into a wall behind him. She stood there with her feet planted at a shoulders width apart and her head held high. Her mid-drift was showing and a black gem glittered in her belly button in almost a teasing way.

The bullet only grazed him, but it still caused him great pain and he yelped a bit, staggering away from her as he clumsely changed his direction to put distance between them. The silver bullet hurt like flames when it touched him. This wasn't just some girl. Her body was slender and beautiful, if he had been a human he would have been enchanted by her. However his animal mind only took in how delicious she looked.

Hearing the beasts yelp made the woman smirk in satisfaction and she watched him stagger away from her. As he moved away from her, she followed and her waist length pin straight black hair fluttered around her. In the moonlight, it seemed to take on a slightly metallic appearance and her un-naturally pale blue eyes glinted with amusement. Each time the woman took a step closer to him, her boots tapped sharply on the cobble stone street as she aimed the guns at him, getting ready to shoot at him again.

He noticed the gun once more. He knew now it would fire another one of those painful things at him. Despite his hunger the will to live was much stronger. He looked at her before turning and beginning to run from her insteaad. If it had been only a dagger he could have bested her, she was human after all and would have tired. But that new weapon required no effort from her and if it had more of those bullets he would lose.

The woman placed one of the guns back into its holster before snatching up her knife and following him swiftly. She would run him out of town if she had to. Her life had been dedicated to protecting the town from lycans since her family had been slaughtered by a small group of the beasts when she was but a small girl. They were going to kill her as well but a lycan hunter saved her and he took her under his wing, teaching the girl everything before he was killed two years past.

He ran off, faster then she could hope to go. His blood driping from his shoulder as he did. He ran back into the tree line. His wound terribly slowig him down finally but he was well away from the hunter. He growled and panted. The wound was healing slower then usual, it was because of the silver.

She continued chasing her target even after he disappeared from her view, only coming to a stop at the edge of the town and she stared at the trees where she was sure he had disappeared. With a nod, she slowly slipped back into the shadows of the buildings and walked off, though she would have to keep an eye out incase the lycan came back.
