"Ehh?" Calix looked over, appraising Relic before it clicked in his head who he was. The brunette shot a nasty look when he giggled at him.

Remus leaned up and hugged his mother, returning to his previous position of lying half on top of Romulus as Relic checked over him. "We're, uh...not sure? He just sort of showed up just before Rommy got sick..." He waited until he saw his mother's blood pressure reach just under critical mass before giggling. "KIDDING! Kidding. No. This is Calix. Ummm... Lets see. Gideon left for a year, and we met Calix, and then Gideon came crawling back-said he couldn't live without us, and really, who can blame him?-and now... Well now it's complicated because Calix and Gideon hate each other." He went over the story in his head to be sure he'd covered everything. Sure that he had, the brunette nodded and laid his head back down.

Relic stared at the boy, his right eye twitching slightly as the urge to take a hold of Calix and snap him grew. Until his son clarified and he rolled his eyes. "Jerk." he mumbled and then turned to look at Romulus, seeing him giggling and he narrowed his eyes " I cam here, midway through a wedding dress, and ran up and ... may or may not have punched a few people... and this is how you treat me?" He pouted a little and plopped onto the chair nearby, looking over at Calix. "Same threat applies to you as it does the rabbit and the shrink. You hurt my babies, and they won't find the pieces that are left. Got it?"

Remus giggled a little more, blowing Relic a kiss. "You enjoyed punching them, mama. Uncle Rune would be so proud of you!" He kissed Romulus' cheek and settled back down, happy that his brother seemed to be okay.

Ignoring what Relic said for the time being, Calix pulled up a chair on the other side of the bed, hand resting on Remus' hip. "Well you checked him out, right? So you must have a name... Even if it's a fake one it's something...?" He looked over to both Gideon and Pierce, wanting opinions and thoughts and ideas on who the asshole could be and how they were going to find him and kill him.

Gideon and Pierce exchanged a look before the redhead turned to Calix. "Of course we can find out but... um... How do I put this..."

"We don't want Mama-Relic running around slitting throats." Pierce finished for his lover, smiling over at Relic, knowing that that would be the case.

Relic blinked a few times. "What?" he asked, feigning shocked. "I would never!" He then looked at the many looks of not believing. "I'd snap his neck. It's faster and less messy." He pouted and sunk into the chair a little more.

He shrugged. "I was thinking more along the lines of endless days of pure physical and bodily torture, which would include many sharp as well as blunt objects used in the most of imaginative fashions..."

Remus looked over his shoulder, eyeing his lover. "Do you know our uncle?" he asked suspiciously, looking Calix over a little more before turning to Relic. "No snapping necks. No torturing. Not until I castrate him first."

Relic pouted at Remus's words, completely on board with Calix. until his son seemed to take that away. Momentarily. He grinned. "See? Family project." He giggled happily and then looked over at Romulus, smiling warmly as he did so. "I don't like seeing my babies hurt, least of all my first babies." He pouted, leaning up to kiss the boy's temple.

Romulus sighed softly. "Can we at least make sure it was him who poisoned me? I don't really wish to be kicked out of the country because we tortured some innocent guy."

Pierce perked up. "It's my country. That won't happen.' He stated with a warm smile, hand looped with Gideon's for the moment. There were already others clustering around Romulus, the man did not need more. But he did need the comfort.

"I like your mother," he commented to the twins, grinning.

Remus giggled and snuggled to Romulus. "You think Pierce would kick us out?" he asked, surprised. Of course, it was more likely that Romulus just forgot. He tended to forget, too, usually. Looking up, he noticed the two by the door and shook his head. "You know, there's another, unused bed in this room... I'm sure if you asked nice mom would switch places with Calix..."

Relic smiled warmly and nodded. "I need to get to my hotel anyway. I'll see you later." he kissed Romulus then Remus on the heads and turned to leave with a simple wave to the others. He had things to do anyway, and he knew his son was in good care with his lovers.

Pierce did not need another invitation before he was sliding up beside Romulus and taking a hold of his hand, eyes closing as he sunk against him a little more. 'I... I ... Don't ever do that to us again, Romulus.' he bit his bottom lip, looking up at the man and sighing some more.

Gideon smiled, moving and pulling a chair up with a soft sigh. He was all right, and that made him very happy.

"I think it's time to move your offices down to the first floor of the orphanage," Calix suggested. "With a nice, burly bodyguard manning the front desk." It scared him that both Remus and Romulus were in direct contact with people who were sometimes past the line of desperate for a child. "Because I do not ever want to have to contemplate biting any of you, ever again." He could see Remus thinking it over, and breathed a small sigh of relief when the brunette conceded and nodded in agreement.

Gideon nodded, completely agreeing, and happy as well when Romulus nodded with his brother. "Good." he sighed softly, fingers sliding to the back of his neck. "Perhaps security does need to increase at the orphanage. Make it so no one is ever alone with a client. They have to go through at least one person to get in. Just, like Calix said, a body guard. That would be enough, wouldn't it? Just someone to check IDs and make sure the people are meant to be there. Leave their bags at the front desk. that sort of thing."

Nodding in agreement, Calix looked over at Gideon with a small smile. "Never leaving a client alone in your office, even for a second. Never drinking or eating from a plate or cup that was in the office while the client was there..." Maybe in six or nine months they would ease up a little. But all of them had been scared out of their wits today. "We'll build two big offices on the ground floor so you can each have an...assistant in your office with you at all times?" He looked around for agreement.

Gideon listened and nodded, looking over at the twins. "And for now, I can be there until we hire someone new. If you have a meeting, just let me know and I'll be there." He smiled warmly and let out a sigh. He hated how this was happening. He wanted to be able to not be fearful of people coming after them. Who would want to ever hurt Remus or Romulus?! They were the sweetest werewolves he ever knew.

Romulus nodded. "I like that..." He stated, smiling a little more as he looked at the two, chuckling. "I also like that you two are agreeing on something.'

Calix just stuck his tongue out at Romulus. It was hard to not get along with someone, even someone you hate, when you worked together to save your mutual lover.

Romulus spent the next couple of nights in the hospital to be sure that all of the poison was out of his system before the doctors were comfortable sending him home. Calix and Remus spent the days that he was in the hospital rearranging the offices and putting ads in the papers for a bodyguard and secretary. They'd received quite a few applications by the time that they were returning to the hospital to pick up Romulus and Gideon and Pierce to bring them all home.

Romulus looked up at the two, hugging all his lovers individually and he smiled a little bit more. "DO I get to look at the finalists for bodyguard?" He asked, taking Gideon's hand and Calix's, making them bring him to the car and he leaned into the other some more, nuzzling both their shoulders and he smiled some more. He was so happy to get out of there. He just wanted to leave and go home and relax. And look through bodyguards. "I don't want someone scary... or whatever. Nice to look at would be better too. "

Calix laughed, helping the other to the car. "That's why you don't get a say. If you did, you'd pick the most gorgeous of them all and pay attention to his ass more than your surroundings." He kissed Romulus as he helped his lover into the car and shut the door carefully. "But that doesn't mean that we don't get to oogle them during their interviews," he muttered to Gideon with a little smirk.

Gideon grinned. "Very true." He stated with a shrug of his shoulders. He lifted his eyes to the other and smiled some more. "I'm happy you're safe." He said, looking at his love in the back and smiling more before he turned to look at the road. "We have our three finalists coming in today, right?"

Remus shook his head at both of them and climbed into the seat next to his brother, resting his head on Romulus' shoulder. "I'll get a peek for you," he promised with a small peck to his cheek. "And I won't let them hire a troll, either."

The drive home was uneventful and quick-they didn't live far from the hospital, thankfully. Remus carried the overnight bag into the house, holding his twin's hand in his free one. "What do you want to do first?"

A couple days later, and after getting annoyed by all the guards, Gideon groaned, flopping back onto the couch, he turned to Calix who was helping him since the twins were busy and Pierce was off being king. "This is bull shit. Why are people such... dicks!"

Knocking on the door, a tall, slender elf with white hair, pulled back into a braid, stepped forward. "This the job for being a bodyguard?" He asked, looking aroudn and double checking the address and then looked at the two. He definitely was a good looking man. Tall, slender, truthfully looked like he could not take on much, but he had the strength and agility.

The last couple of days had, frankly, sucked. Calix had expected to find a bodyguard quickly...it wasn't that hard of a job, honestly. But everyone they'd seen had been too cocky or too passive or a complete joke all together. Really, a full human that weighed no more than one forty was not going to be able to protect the two werewolves. And he seemed a bit put off with Calix's fangs, too...

He opened his mouth to answer Gideon when the door opened. The brunette openly appraised the male in front of them, put off at first by his small size and then put at ease (a bit) by the knowledge that he was an elf and likely could match his own strength. "Your name is...?"

Stepping inside, he looked over at the others. "Hazareth. Haz for short." He said and bowed his head, flowing white locks falling past his shoulders as he straightened once more. "I will admit I am better at archery and long range, but I am better than most in hand-to-hand and I do plan to train more in it, so I will hopefully only improve.'

Listening, Calix made notes in his head. "If hired, you will take lessons. It will be a condition of your employment." He didn't want anyone who was guarding any of them (but especially the twins) to not be the best in everything they were hired to do. But this guy was the best applicant they'd seen so far and if all he needed was some brush up then he could live with that. "Family? Lover? Wife? Husband? Kids? Anything that will distract you from the job?"

Haz shook his head. "None of the above." he said with a small shrug of his shoulders. "I just moved here, so I don't even have friends." He admitted, not really minding all that much. He had just left his family for numerous reasons, but he did not want to bore the others with that.

He nodded, feeling a little bad that he was happy about the last statement but figuring that the twins and Pierce would befriend the man soon enough anyway. Calix looked to Gideon to be sure that he agreed that this was the best candidate so far and they would hire him before speaking again. If the blond had reservations then they would keep looking, but he had a feeling that they were both tired of speaking to idiots and that Hazareth was their best option.

Gideon listened to the other and then turned to look at Calix. The redhead smiled at the brunette and then stood up, brushing his rump off and holding his hand out to the elf. "I believe me and my counterpart agree that you are hired. You may start tomorrow morning. Show up at the orphanage at 8 o'clock sharp and we will introduce you t othe rest of the crew." He said, turning to Cal for clarification of he missed or said anything he should not have.

He nodded in agreement and shook Haz's hand.

"Calix? Gideon?" Remus shuffled out into the main part of the orphanage looking for his two lovers. He didn't know who the man was at the front desk, but he'd said that he'd been hired by the two and now they were no where to be found. Huffing and stopping his foot, the brunette took extreme measures. He screamed bloody murder at the top of his lungs, hoping to draw them out.
