Welcome to Atlantis Academy! (Lia && Chokuro)

"Oh... I'm sorry..." Kiah diverted his eyes back to the game board for a minute before nodding a little. "Prometheus is really great!" he added, smiling a bit. "Everyone there is real nice! Uncle Tomias and Uncle Nikkos own it, and Mama and Papa are teachers, and so is Aunt Relic and Uncle Tanner and all my cousins went there, too." He smiled a little more. "What do you like to do?" he asked, trying to change the subject.

Jethro thought for a moment before he shrugged. "I like um... creating things with metal" He laughed lightly and toyed with teh dog piece - the game already done since both seemed to nto care anymore. "I like making things with scrap metal. It's a lot of fun."

"Ooh Uncle Tanner manipulates metal!" Kiah was excited that Jethro would fit in with someone in their family so well. He smiled up at the other and then stood, taking Jethro's hand and tugging him back downstairs. "Come on! I'll show you where Papa hides the brownies!" It didn't occur to Kiah that Jethro might not stay with them, or might be in an uncomfortable situation. His bubbly personality didn't allow him to think like that.

Jethro stared at the other. His eyes went a little wide as he scurried after him. "Um... What?" He questioned, eyes staying with his form and he continued running after him, trying to keep up with him. His hand wound up gripping him tighter and his eyes slipped closed as he did so. "Who is Tanner?" he asked, eyes lifted open to look at him.

"Huh? Oh! Tanner is Relic's husband. Relic is Mama's twin." Kiah nodded and continued down to the kitchen. He greeted his Mama with a hug and a wave to his Papa before running for the oven and pulling out the plate of brownies, offering one to Jethro while taking two for himself.

"Hey!" Calder caught sight of the two brownies and gave a stern look. "One. Or you'll ruin your dinner." Kiah pouted up at Rune.

"But..." His bottom lip trembled a little bit and his eyes got wide, as if he was about to cry.

Rune looked at Kiah and bit his lip. Damn! Why did they have to be adorable? "If you eat all your dinner, you can have two more." he kissed the top of his son's head then ruffled Jethro's while making his way over to his love and kissing his cheek.

Jethro looked at the brownie and smiled more. He bi the brownie and sat down on a chair. "Thank you!"

Kiah smiled brightly and set the other brownie back on the plate and slid it all back into the oven. "Okay, Mama!" He sat at the table, pulling Jethro along with him, and happily nibbled at his treat, deep in thought. He didn't notice his Papa's dirty look to his Mama, or the disapproving look he got for being manipulative. Instead, he enjoyed his brownie and wished he had ice cream to go with it.

He was nearly finished when Kiah popped his head back up. "Mama is Jethro going to stay with us?"

Rune pouted, kissing his love a few times and then turning to Kiah when he spoke. He perked up and smiled a little bit more. "I do believe we are. At least until we realize what happened." He looked at the boy and smiled some more. He then wrapped his arms around Calder and kissed his neck gently. "Love you."

Deimos couldn't help it. He knew that Kiah had the biggest crush on Jethro but...well spending the last four years with the other male had made him fall for him, too. And he was pretty sure that Jethro had fallen for him, too. It was a touchy subject, though. He didn't want to betray his brother, but... Well Jethro was gorgeous and smart and funny and perfect! The dark haired teen threw himself onto his bed and groaned, wishing that he didn't care so much about his brothers' feelings.

Jethro grew up into a gorgeous teen. His blond locks falling to his ears in small curves. He was fairly tall, but nowhere near his adoptive parents or even how tall the other boys were getting. He moved to the kitchen, looking over everything before he picked up a brownie and began munching on it while getting his homework out.

Deimos knew that he couldn't hide in his room forever. The dark haired teen pulled himself off of the bed and went down to the kitchen for a snack. He was hoping he was still alone in the house, and nearly groaned when he saw his crush sitting at the table. Of course Jethro would be home already. The universe couldn't go a day without torturing him. Demi took a deep breath to gather his wits and then entered the kitchen. "Hi." He didn't want to ignore Jethro... Taking a cookie from his Papa's hiding spot, Deimos sat down across the table from Jethro. "Whatcha working on?"

Jethro perked up, his eyes staying to the other. He remained silent for a while and then smiled gently. "Hey." Jethro himself was conflicted and confused. He liked Deimos, but he also really liked Kiah... Both for separate reasons. He looked up at him some more and smiled again. "It's for potions. I need to work out a few formulas for tomorrow and then I have some things for Uncle Relic."

He nodded and nibbled at his snack, trying hard to not look at Jethro for fear that he'd just stare at the male. He was gorgeous, after all. The silence was a bit awkward. Deimos didn't really know what to say without feeling like he sounded stupid. Finally, he just couldn't take it anymore. The bunny eared teen stood from the table as he popped the last of his cookie into his mouth. "I, uh, have homework, too..." Knowing that sounded stupid, he fled the room quickly so that, hopefully, Jethro wouldn't see him blush.

Jethro lifted his head and looked at the male as he left, eyes lingering on his rear before he sighed heavily. He bit his lip and looked down at his homework once more. The homework being merely a little doodle of the man and he quickly turned the page on his homework to something that was not so obvious.

Demi bit his lip a bit after leaving the room and then turned right back around. He was sick of being so pathetic. The dark haired teen took a deep breath and gathered his courage as he made it to the table. He bent down and kissed Jethro's lips, nearly groaning when they touched. The kiss was light, and it didn't last too long before he pulled back, blushing furiously. "I...uh... Go out with me?"

Jethro sat there. Eyes wide, jaw lax, and confusion and confliction swirling within his mind. He stared at him for a while more, jaw pathetically trying to move before he looked up at him. "I..." He cleared his throat, hands coming to rest in his lap. "I need time to think." He bit his lip and took the other's hand, gripping it tightly. "You know I like you and ... and I like Kiah as well so I cannot just... go without thinking...A week. All I need is a week, okay?"

He could feel his heart shatter at the words. Oh, Demi understood but that didn't make it hurt any less. He had to use all of his willpower to keep his lip from trembling and the tears to pour out of his eyes as he nodded slowly and stepped away towards the living room once more. "Okay," he whispered before fleeing upstairs and burying himself into his bed, head under the pillow and face pressed into the mattress.

Rune paused when he saw his son rushing up the stairs with tears in his eyes. He walked into the other room, seeing Jethro looking no better.

"please don't hate me! I ... I didn't ... I couldn't.. and Kiah and... and..."

"Shhshh." Rune patted the top of his head. "Go talk to Relic. Ask him about Romulus and Remus." He stared at the boy for a while before shooing him off with a pat to the rump.

Entering the room, Kiah saw his brother on the bed, obviously crying. "Oh..." The blond moved to sit on the side of the bed and began to rub Deimos' back softly. "What's wrong, Demi?" he asked softly, only to jerk away when his brother pulled away sharply and hissed at him.

"Go away! I hate you I HATE YOU!" He watched, heartbroken, as his brother ran out of the room and only moments afterward, Kiah did the same, searching for Rune and throwing his arms around his middle when he found him in the kitchen. He sobbed into his chest, trying to explain but he was sure his words weren't coherent.

Rune wrapped his arms around the boy, kissing hte top of his head and trying to lull him into not freaking out too much. "Shhshhh." he whispered and led him toward the chair. "Sit." he then went to get him chocolate ice cream with hot fudge and whipped cream, setting it in front of him. "It'll be okay, all right?" He smiled and leaned over to kiss his head. "Trust me?"

Kiah sniffled a little and looked to his Mama with very teary eyes and a red nose, nodding a little bit with the words. He did trust his mother, but that didn't make it hurt any less. His brother had never said anything like that to him, ever. And he didn't understand. "But...but why'd he do that, Mama?" he asked, voice soft as he used his finger to eat the whipped cream from the dish of ice cream that was set in front of him.

"oh sweetie." Rune sighed softy, hand lifting to brush some pale locks away from his face, keeping his eyes with his. "You both like the same boy. He's just frustrated and heartbroken." He trailed his fingers through the bunny's locks and smiled a little more. "He just needs some time, I'm sure.'

"Oh..." He hadn't even realized that Deimos liked Jethro. But that didn't make the words hurt any less. Kiah sniffled a little bit more and began to eat his ice cream, not knowing what else to say. That Demi could date Jethro? But he wanted to date Jethro! Why should he have to be miserable just to make his brother happy? He was always the one who was outvoted, or overruled. He just wanted this one thing! Why was life so unfair?

Rune kissed the top of his head and leaned down to press his forehead against his. "Life is unbalanced, sweetie, not unfair." He reassured before pulling back and holding his chin to look at his son better. "If you wind up losing this battle, know that in the future, you will be on top in one way or another, okay?"

He nodded at his mama and kissed Rune's cheek in thanks. Kiah didn't necessarily feel better, but he understood a little bit more, which was helpful, too. It made the sting just a little bit more dull. "Okay, Mama." The blond ate his ice cream, which helped soothe his nerves as it always did, and then turned to Rune. "Mama, will you teach me how to drive?" Sure, he couldn't get his license until their next birthday, but Kiah knew that his mother was rarely able to say no to him.
