Welcome to Atlantis Academy! (Lia && Chokuro)

Looking up, Maksim couldn't really say that he was shocked. He'd tried. Honestly he had. But he wasn't going to change. His way of being was simply too engrained in him. "No. No, you kept your end of the bargain and I didn't keep mine. I did try, though, Vamp." He shrugged. The Russian couldn't feel anything, because that was what he'd trained himself to do for as long as he could remember.

Raphael nodded and then leaned down to kiss his cheek. "It's okay, Maksim. It's been fun. Oh and, you're totally missing a couple toys." he winked and then stepped off and away with a soft sigh. Honestly, it hurt even more that he was not going to fight to keep him, but what did he expect? The man had not down anything for hte past year. He sighed heavily, finding his way to the car and somehow, he wound up in Prometheus and in front of Caden's door with a bag beside him. He knocked on the door, eyes closed as he tried to think of why he was here. Other than the utter lure he had to the man he had done so much damage to.

Humming to himself, Wyatt danced around the apartment as he made dinner. He'd met Caden seven months ago, and they started dating six months ago. And Uriel had gotten his own set of rooms only a few weeks after that...thankfully. The white-blond haired man shook his hips a little as he bent over to check the roast as the knock on the door sounded. "Silly boy always forgetting his key." He moved over to the door and threw it open. "Did you forget your key aga-who are you?"

Raphael froze as she stared up at the other. His eyes kept to the man for a while, taking in a deep breath and he smiled warmly. "Um .Raphael. I'm looking for ... Caden? I thought he was rooming with Uriel?" Damn he should have kept in contact. Why was this man here? He had an idea, but he did not really want to think about it much more than having to.

"That was five months ago... And who are you?" He wasn't looking for a name. He was looking for a relationship with his boyfriend. Wyatt was jealous and controlling, but only because he knew Caden's past and wanted to keep him safe and he wanted to keep him from being hurt again. But his lover had refused to give names. He'd tell him that it wasn't important and all he needed to know was that it hadn't been Uriel.

Wyatt looked down and raised an eyebrow. "And why do you have an overnight bag?"

Raphael glanced to the bag then once more to the man. "Because I came to cry for a room for the night." He admitted and then turned to look back at the man in front of him. He rubbed the back of his neck and he shrugged his shoulders. "I just wanted to see him... Um..." He sighed softly, fingers pushing through his red hair a bit more. "And check up on him... and ... stuff...." Why the hell was he here?

"I think you should lea--"

"Raphael?" Wyatt sighed as his boyfriend turned the corner and made his way to their rooms. "What are you doing here? Why do you have an overnight bag? Are you okay?" Caden was still hurt, and angry but he cared for Raphael and had come to terms with the fact that he always would because of their history. "Come inside. I'll get you a glass of wine." He ushered the redhead in with a hand to the small of his back, pecking his boyfriend's cheek as they entered. "Dinner smells great, dear."

Raphael sighed heavily as he followed the other into the room. "because I'm a pathetic sap who somehow thought I could whine to you about my problems." He shrugged and set his bag on the inside of the door before heading into the kitchen "Maksim and I broke up. He just ...never cared about me." He stated and pulled his right knee to his chest, chin onto his knee while his eyes stayed with the other. "I know I shouldn't be here and that you probably don't want to see me, but I didn't know who else to go to that wouldn't just give me pity... Or tell me I deserved it. I figure that at least if you tell me I deserve it, it's legitimate."

The blond poured three glasses of wine and handed one to Raphael while sitting with another one. "No, I don't think that's it this time." If nothing else, Caden had always been honest with Raphael. "He did care about you. I think everyone saw how he had changed...softened I guess. But... Raph. He was in the Russian mafia. You can't expect him to just turn that off."

"Well I can see that my efforts on dinner were wasted." Wyatt threw the wine glass in the sink, satisfied with the shattering. "I'll just leave you two lovebirds be."

Caden whipped around. "What? Wyatt, no!" He got up to chase after his boyfriend but stopped for a second. "Don't go anywhere." That said he was off down the hall, calling after the other blond.

Raphael nodde.d "I know he loved me, but it just isn't enough to know. I need to have him show me..." He sighed and pulled his knees to his chest, perking up when Caden went off to chase after his boyfriend. His brows furrowed as he stared at the two. He remained silent for a while, closing his eyes and he sunk into the chair He had not wanted to fuck up his relationship, he just wanted a bit of comfort and someone to tell him he did not suck.

"Why are you being like this?" Caden was exasperated. Wyatt was being unreasonable, and he was getting loud...and scary. He was bigger than Caden was, and stronger, and advancing... "Wyatt what are you doing?" Caden backed up until his back hit the wall. He was scared now and flinched when both fists came down on the wall on either side of his head forcefully enough to put two holes in the wall.

Raphael instantly perked up when he heard the sound of the fists in the wall. The redhead instantly stood up and made his way to the other room. Just as the man was about to smack Caden, the redhead intercepted and had the man's wrist in his and forced him to the ground wit ha simple twisting of his arm, pinning his wrist between his shoulderblades. "You get the fuck out." he growled, fangs bearing as he glared down at the man's head. "You get your shit and you leave. I will never let anyone hurt Caden, least of all a piece of scum like you." he hissed, foot slamming into the other's back and shoving him away. He then went to stand between Caden and this man, not backing down at all.

He wanted desperately to collapse into Raphael, but knew that he couldn't. Not yet. He needed Wyatt to see him as strong and standing up to him, even with the help of a friend. Caden watched Wyatt groan and go, rubbing his arm the entire way and throwing threats back at the both of them as he did. Only when the front door slammed shut did the blond allow his knees to give out and he collapsed into the redhead in front of him, a shuddering mess.

Raphael quickly caught the other. He pulled him into a tight hug and he pressed his face into the crook of his neck. "Oh Caden." he whispered, hugging him while slowly walking to the bed to help him sit. He wrapped his arms around his shoulders, kissing his temple gently. "You're okay. I promise, I will never let anyone hit you. Not ever." He whispered and kissed his cheek once more. "I'm sorry I ruined your happiness again, but I'm happy I was here to stop him. He probably would have snapped at one point." he whispered and then kissed his cheek once more.

The blond took a few shuddering breaths before straightening up and gathering himself back together. "No. No you came here looking for comfort. I'm not going to turn that around. I'll be fine." He nodded once and took another deep breath. "Come on. He really was a good cook. At least we'll get a good meal out of him." Caden smiled a little and moved out towards the kitchen once more, knowing Raphael would follow.

Really, it had felt wonderful to be back in the man's arms again and he knew that, in their emotional states, neither would have the strength to do the right thing. And Caden didn't want either of them to be hurt.

Raphael laughed lightly, sighing softly. "Nah. I knew it from the beginning, I was just in denial." He stated while following and then sitting at the table once more. "I suppose I just hate myself for having been so optimistic, you know? Actually thinking he could cuddle or put me in front of his work once in a while. And not just fucking me on the table while he did a video-call." he sighed heavily, looking over at the man and smiling warmly. "Sooo... You and Uriel are still friends?" He asked, ignoring the jerk that just left them.

Caden shrugged. "It's reasonable to expect those things from any normal person...not that anyone who is attracted to this family is normal..." The blond pulled the roast from the oven and began to prepare the plates for them both, glad that he had someone to share dinner with. He wasn't sure if Uriel was still dating the same guy, but if he was, the blond didn't want to intrude on their time with petty little things. He set both plates on the table and sat where he had been before the whole mess of an evening began.

"We are. He stayed here for a while after we broke up. And then I met Wyatt and he met...well I forget the man's name, but Uriel moved out. Only down a few doors, really."

Raphael smiled warmly, laughing lightly as he did so. "It's great that you're making, and made, friend, Cay." He sighed heavily and then took the roast with a thanks to the man. He began to cut up the meat and poked it a few times. He really was now realizing just how few people he knew. He had not made any friends. He had been cooped up with Maksim for years. Before then, he was trying to make up for hurting Caden, none of which really worked, and he just was far too along now. His eyes drooped to the plate in front of him, twirling the potatoes with a sigh.

"It's your own fault." Caden had always had a way of reading what Raphael was thinking. "If you hadn't been such a jerk when you were in Atlantis, you could have made a lot of friends." He didn't mention that if Raphael hadn't up and left him for no reason and hid out for years that they could have loads of friends together, too. "And, really, how you managed to get yourself lost in a Russian mafia poker game is beyond me."

Raphael's cheeks puffed out and he crossed his arms over his lower torso as he stared at him. "Well... I actually found this.' he rummaged into his pocket and set the beautiful, ancient ring on the table so that hte other could see his great-some-odd grandmother's ring. "I hadn't intended to. I was just looking and saw it and uh .. somehow, I won it but hten lost myself as my own property. I have no idea how that happened to be honest..."

Looking at the ring, Caden's jaw went slack. His hands were shaking as he moved to pick it up and the blond was speechless. It was a full thirty seconds later that he was finally able to speak. "This...this was my great-great-great grandmother's ring." He looked up at the man, eyes wide and clearly astonished. "How did you find this?"

"I know." Raphael stated, lifting his eyes to look at Caden's and he smiled warmly. "You always said how you wanted it for when you would get married and I did some research. Found out where it last was. Tracked it down. And then found it in Russia. I knew the ring would never go to me or anything, but I wanted to give it to you as an apology of sorts. To tell you to go find someone and be happy, I suppose." He shrugged and then took a piece of the roast, chewing and swallowing before once more looking at the man. "It was worth it all to see that smile." He informed him, sighing as he shook his head and forced his eyes away. No. No getting those butterflies.

He slipped the ring onto his own finger for the time being, before leaning over to press a quick peck to Raphael's lips. "Thank you. Even if you understand why I wanted it, you can't possibly understand how grateful I am to you for going through all that trouble." Caden forced himself to sit back down properly in his chair before he did something that he would ultimately regret. "Do...Where are you going to stay?" He wasn't meaning to kick Raphael out, he was genuinely concerned.

Raphael smiled at the peck, his heart fluttering despite his attempt to not make it. He was just happy that he could actually do that without wanting to kill him. "you're very welcome, Cay." he whispered, sighing softly before he shrugged. "I thought I would see if Uncle Relic would take me in for the night." He admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. "I know Uncle Rune won't, so he should let me, right?"

"Calder wouldn't let Rune turn you away." He smiled at the other and picked at his food a little more. "Don't be stupid, Raphael. Just stay in the guest bedroom. Besides. I think Relic dragged Tanner back to Australia for another romp around the orphanage." He shrugged. Caden wasn't really sure of that, but it was likely enough. He hadn't seen his brother in a few weeks anyway. "I promise I changed the sheets after the last time Uriel and I screwed in there." The blond flashed Raphael an innocent smile.
