I liked the other font you had shown me more, but that might just be due to how you implemented the more blocky text here. I think maybe if the black outline wasn't there and if the tracking on the letters was wider I'd like it more. Might also work to make some of those purple light sources reflect off the render too to make the lighting look more real.

Regardless, good lighting and blending like usual. Always a pleasure to look at your stuff.

You're totally right about the light source reflection. I can't believe I didn't think to do it in this piece. I guess the low contrast threw me off but I tried it out as you said and it looks better I think. As for the text it remains my biggest weakness. I decided to go to another font I'd previously ruled out. I think it looks okay. Thank you so much for the compliments and criticism Motsu

Decided to download a bunch of Miss Fortune images and play with them.
My bf also got me some new fractals, fonts, and overlays to play with c:

idk if I over did the effects around the rifle. I wanted the text to look like as if she signed her picture. I did this
yesterday but now I'm looking at it while I'm typing this and thinking maybe I should go erase some of those fractals lol

I was skeptical about the color of the moon and my blending, as well as the light source in the bottom.
Its one of those works that I think I could turn into
a masterpiece if I invested more time into but I stopped when I finished having fun I guess?

I tried a bunch of effects for this picture (smoke, watercolor, neon, fractals) and decided nothing works better than subtly:
fire and cinder effects around her hair with some dark color grading. It gives me Diablo vibes tbh

First one is really good. Everything is blended very well and the effects are spot on. I also really like the font choice and placement of the text. It all flows very well, which gives it such a dynamic and interesting look.

Second one does indeed look unfinished as you claimed. The moon is a bit harsh and stark there, but you know that. Some slight tweaks would make it really fit in with the look of the render. I think it's a good direction though.

Third one is very simple, but that isn't a bad things. I like the subtle changes and the vignette sort of effect you used to create more contrast and hone in on the focal point a bit more. I think this is one of those cases where the artwork is really good and detailed, so you'd have to be extra creative and out of the box to do something with the whole thing. This is certainly one of those pieces where you'd have to cut her out and down your own thing with it, but the direction you took is classy and nice too. I wonder what it would look like with some tasteful text slapped on there.

I actually couldn't even tell it was a cat ear in your edit. It sorta just looks like some kind of horn or something. Either way, I do like it a bit more without the horn.

Maybe it's just me, but the first two images are a little disturbing: the perspective and lighting makes it look as though her right arm is broken at the elbow and the forearm is angling behind her and not across her front. I had to look a couple of times to realise that. >.>

It's not really noticeable in your altered image, but in the original it's just the angle of the right arm from the elbow and the lighting that makes me see it in that way.

Not that I'm in any way complaining or being disparaging about your work! I'm just jealous.

The Nidalee signature is pretty solid. Good lighting and mood. The only part that stumbles is the text. Smaller text that perhaps interacted with the lighting somehow, or had more elements around it would have worked nice. I'm not entirely sure if I'm sold on the color choice either.

Regardless, a good first showing since your comeback.
