Up until recently, I was in the same boat.
I've role played for almost 10 years and I only had a handful of memorable stories.

What I find helped this year was I got reallllllll picky about partners I engage with.

One of my best friends was in Air Force. She's a vet now. Love her dearly. XD She's an amazing person and I'm glad to have her in my life. She's one of the rare few who truly understands me too. That and accepts me fully for who and how I am. I'm lucky to know her.
