MILLION DOLLAR BABY (PoisonousIvee/Mr Aznable)

[Mr.Aznable]

He made a soft noise. “Well, I won’t be much good under contract if I can’t complete my contract..”

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"A fair argument, but still. I would rather you be in the mood." She said, "Maybe somemore wine would help?"

 

[Mr.Aznable]

He was definitely off guard at this point. “Uh.. yes, perhaps..” he said.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

She reached to refill their glasses and talk about things that mildly interested her, engaging him if he shared a similar interest.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

They had a few topics they shared, occasionally an artist, or some book. The wine seemed to be working a bit more, his tension easing a bit.

She called for another bottle when this one emptied, seeming more relaxed than before.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

They both seemed to be in better spirits after the second bottle, both laughing and enjoying eachother’s tales

"My, what a fascinating life you've lived. And you're only 25." She mused with a smile.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

“Well, word spreads quickly..” he said with a soft laugh.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"So it does." She smiled, resting her head in her hand.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

“I can assure you, you are the only person I have told these things..” he said.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Well, I'm rather honored." She said, "And you are the only one from outside this manor to know of my husband's infidelity...~"

 

[Mr.Aznable]

“A shame he doesn’t value you beyond your wealth..” he said.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Well, the sad truth is I don't value him much either..." She told him, "Our marriage is only to combine our families and their power. I've never liked Richard and I don't think I ever will...he wants me for my money and the power I hold, no more or less than that.."

 

[Mr.Aznable]

He sipped his wine appreciatively, not sure of what else to say. “Well then it seems.. my being here won’t be much of an issue..”

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Not at all." She replied, "Perhaps one day you will fill more than just a need."

 

[Mr.Aznable]

That.. sounded nice. “Here’s hoping..” he said, and raised his glass in a toast.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

She did as well, clinking her glass gently with his before taking a sip.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

The wine was nearly gone, and he felt warm. Hot, almost. He was a bit of a lightweight.

"I think we've had enough for the night." She mused.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

“Agreed..” he replied, finishing off the last drops and setting his glass down.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

She stood with a bit of a wobble and made a noise, "Shall we?"

 

[Mr.Aznable]

He nodded and followed her, his head definitely spinning by now.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

She helped him up the stairs, giggling a bit as they stumbled, before stopping in the hallway, "Where do you want to sleep tonight?"

 

[Mr.Aznable]

“Oh, I’m never usually offered to stay with my clients.” He said.
