It was a day like any other, but for four girls, it may have been the last normal day of their lives. When they went to sleep, they would not wake up in their own beds. Instead, when the sun rose in the morning, they would awaken in a small, minimalist, but at least moderately nice apartment, consisting of only three rooms. The walls were sleek, metalic, and featureless, and the floor was carpeted. Each room was connected by an open doorframe with no door, but there were numerous other doorways in the apartment with sealed metal doors they would not be able to open. There was the bedroom, which contained little more than four beds, the bathroom complete with a standing shower stall, and the lounge which had a couch, table, and television on the opposite wall. The television had a simple message on it, reading
"The first challenge will begin in
30:00"
The timer was counting down from half an hour. Additionally, there was a small packet of papers on the table labelled "Game Rules". The girls who had been taken here would find that none of their possessions had come with them. They only had the clothes they went to sleep in and any essential items, like glasses. Bizarrely, however, each girl would find a circular device attached to their skin on their lower stomach. It was sleek metal, with something that looked like a small red gem or bulb in the center of the disk. Its purpose was unknown for now, but no manner of prying or scraping at it would be able to remove it.
