Dormroom mishaps (me and d u l c e__x)

He had turned his head when he heard her come out of the bathroom, but turned it back quickly, blushing, knowing that the image of her in her underwear was more than powerful enough to override the image of her on him... whether that was good or bad was to be seen. At the moment, bad, because it gave him a rager that was making his jeans tent out some. He mvoed to sit at his desk, logging into his computer so he could put on some music.

He heard her as she came back out of the bathroom, this time in form fitting clothes, and he couldn't help but laugh. "I didn't think i could come in any louder, actually. Eat, I got you your food."

  • Corinne moving over to her purse and finding a set of bobbypins, pinning her bangs back from her eyes, she looked over to the doughnuts again and bit her lip before moving to the chair on the other side of the desk. Plucking up a chocolate glazed doughnut, the female set it on a napkin and broke off a piece, chewing softly on the still warm doughnut, Corinne looked over at him and over his laptop, "Why are you being so nice?" She asked, raising a brow at him as she broke another piece off and ate it quietly, not at all noticing the disappearing blush from his cheeks. It didn't hurt to ask, although if he was simply doing it just to find some simple way to get back at her then she would severely hurt him more than he could ever truly know.[/list:u]

He listened to her question, taking a boston creme filled one and taking a bite before answering. "I felt like being nice after being a dick last night." He said softly, picking up his glass of orange juice and taking a drink. He put the stuff down and went through to delete the spam e-mail quickly before shutting the laptop down, closing it and pushing it back into its cubby as he turned to look at her.

  • Finishing her chocolate doughnut and taking a quiet sip of her orange juice, his soft answer to her question causing her to raise a brow though she could understand how this was silently like a truece between the two of them, in a sense. "You don't have to go to a party if you don't want to." She stated after picking out a plain glazed doughnut, looking over her doughnut before looking across the table at him, "But I swear, there's no point in growing up and then still having the same stupid mentality you did in high school." Shrugging softly, she broke off another piece of her doughnut and ate it quietly, she didn't want to be rude to him but she had to be blunt about it.[/list:u]

"I know." He said softly, looking over his doughnut before taking another bite, another drink. He put everything down, leaning back in his chair as his eyes closed, letting his mind wander. "I'll go to the next party. I already said I would." He opened his eyes, finishing the glass of orange juice and doughnut before standing, jumping back up onto his bed and laying down to rest a little more.

  • Maybe the Dork wasn't so bad, judging by the way he had bought her that chocolate bar and bought her breakfast, even if that was only because he totally lashed out at her last night, but still, this shell he had himself holed up in? It seemed a little saddening, to say the least, but then again, it was his life. All she could do was straddle him then drag him out of the dormroom. Grinning softly to herself, it would seem as though she were grinning because of him saying he would go to the next party, though for that she gave a soft nod, "You better." Of course she was only teasing him, finishing her own doughnut and juice before taking the cups to wash them out in the bathroom and cleaning up the small mess that had been left. Going over in her mind what she had to do today, Corinne let out a soft sigh, hand raising to her forehead because she had to go out and buy a few more books for her classes, judging by the list her teachers had given her on the 'You'll Probably need these' list, "I fucking hate book shopping." She grumbled, going to the closet for her shoes, the female was obviously not a fan of shopping for books; More so a fan of clothes, shoes, you know.[/list:u]

He gave her a soft thanks for picking up the mess, letting his eyes close a little more as he got lost in thought. But then he heard her muttered words, and he turned his head, opening a eye to look at her. "What classes do you have?" He had already went out to get his books, bored with the games that he had at the time, and needing fresh air anyway.

  • Looking over her shoulder at him as she slid one of her shoes on her feet, Corinne answered as she turned back to pull the other one on, "I'm taking all of my basic academic courses this semester to get them out of the way, but apparently I have to read about a billion books if I want to get it over with." She replied, the basic academic classes being the ones that were never really optional no matter what field of career you went in to. Setting her hands on her hips, Corinne noticed that he would quite possibly be bored out of his mind sitting in here for however long by himself, "Do you want to come with me? I could probably use the help."[/list:u]

"What classes?" He repeated, turning a little more towards her. There was more than a full semester's worth of basics that everyone had to take, and he was starting to get interested in her schedule, since his was full of basics, as well.

  • "English composition, Thesis, History and practices of art education, and Social Theory." She listed the ones off the top of her head that she could remember, reaching over to grab her iPhone and looking at the time, she tucked it away into her purse before setting her keys inside her bag as well. Her arms crossing over her chest, Corinne raised a brow at him as though asking if he was coming or not and if so to hurry the hell up.[/list:u]

He sat up fast, hitting his head on the ceiling because he bounced slightly on the bed. Rubbing his head, he turned to her. "Dont even bother with getting the Composition, Social Theory, and Thesis books. I got them already." He jumped off the bed, going to his stuff and pulling them out, putting them on his desk. "Feel free to use them."

He turned to face her, thinking for a moment before moving towards her. "Yeah, I'll come."

  • Laughing when he sat up quickly and hit his head on the ceiling, deciding not to make too much of a comment on that because he tried to calmly play it off, blinking lightly when he jumped off the bed to go through his things and find the books that he already had, he was doing that nice thing again. "What happens if we both need the books at the same time then?" Corinne asked, and though she had inwardly decided to take him up on his offer, it didn't hurt to ask such a question, still waiting for an answer as to whether or not he was going with her. She wasn't going to force him to go, this time anyway. And seeing that he was coming willingly, the female smiled softly before moving out of the dorm room, again, not pulling him as she had yesterday.[/list:u]

"We will think of something. But unless we have class at the same time, there wont be any need to worry about that." He followed her out of the room, closing and locking it up before following her out of the building. "Waking the way or riding?" He asked, seeing that she had taken her keys with her.

  • Her eyes blinking lightly as the sunlight wrapped around them as they stepped outside, her hand falling over her head as he asked if they were walking or driving, the female shook her head lightly, "Well, I can't have you carry all my books, hm?" She teased, moving out into the parking lot and unlocking her car door and getting into the driver's seat, starting the car up once he got in, the female pulled out of the parking lot and drove into the city. Parking in front of a college book store, the brunette got of the car and looked only a little ways down the street to find a Borders, smiling softly to herself before looking over to him once he got out, "You know, you're cute when you're not being a jerk." Corinne stated before walking into the store, the cool air wrapping around her figure as a man seemed to rush himself toward her.[/list:u]

"Ha, all your books? I thought you were going to use some of mine." He jumped into her car easily, buckling up as she backed out of her spot and they headed to the city. He was quiet until they parked again, getting out of her car. Her words made him scoff. "And to be fairly blunt, you are fun and nice when you aren't being a bitch." He let out a soft laugh, trying to soften that blow. He was sure that she was called that on more than one occasion.

But his mind settled into a mode as he saw the man rush towards them from in front. And she seemed to not have noticed. So he fell back a bunch of paces, letting her lead on from a greater stride. He had a feeling about this man...

and he was right. The man pushed her out of the way, grabbing her purse and running towards were Alexander was standing. He wasn't even going to risk grabbing the man or anything, taking a swing that he didn't even pull back for, hitting the man in the face, seeming to break the guys nose, but also stunning him and knocking him to the ground. Everyone around was now stopping and forming a circle, staring.

Alex grabbed the purse and handed it back to Corrine, his foot on the man's chest as he pulled out his cell phone, dialing 911 to turn the guy in. "I would say go get your books, but i'm sure the police would like to hear a statement." He said softly to her as he got a line through.

"Hello? Yes, I'm at the corner of Sylvester and Browning, a man just tried to steal my friends purse, but I was able to stop him. Would you send a police car for the man?"

"Yes, we're sending a dispatch. Make sure not to let the man go and we'll take reports when we take him."

"Yes, of course. Thank you."

  • Corinne hadn't noticed at all that he wasn't as close behind her as she expected him to be, the sudden movement of the man before her when he grabbed a hold of her purse after snatching it from her arm, there was an instant moment of shock before she turned and saw him hit the ground. Her hazel eyes wide to find that it had been Alex to punch him in the face and knock the man down to the ground, the people that had gathered around were all staring in a bit of aw, the sort that if you were a bystander anywhere else made you want to tell these people to get lives. Taking a hold of her purse and still in a bit of shock, she blinked quickly and closed her parted lips, glancing up at him when he spoke of the police probably wanting a statement from her in regards to the man who had tried, and evidently failed, to rob her. Now holding on to her Juicy Couture purse like it was a baby, her arm had settled itself back in the double straps and her arms wrapped around it lightly, her eyes looked from the male on the ground being held down for a foot before back up to Alex.

"Th - Thanks." She said quietly, mentally wondering where in the world had that come from and what the hell had possessed someone to try and steal her purse anyway. Fucking jerk. Though as the people began to disperse carefully, Corinne looked up lightly when the people walking by instantly looked between the two of them before looking back to her, "It's good that your boyfriend was here." A slightly shocked expression moving over her face, she blinked quickly before shaking her head and not having the time to correct them as they walked away talking to each other about how he had hit him in the face. Rolling her eyes to the blue sky, Corinne decided it best to ignore it, waiting for the police car to pull up before looking down at the male who had tried to rob her in the first place. [/list:u]

Alex had the man pinned until the police came, and they were taking statements by everyone that was at the incident. Of course, the man denied everything, saying that he was attacked without probable cause, but there was more than enough witnesses that they took the man into custody, throwing him into the back of the police car.

"Thanks, officers." Alexander said, before they drove off. He turned to Corinne, with a soft smile on his face. 'Off to the book store!" He said, a little too cheery to get moving.

  • The constant badgering of how her boyfriend was great because he had stopped the guy who almost stole her purse, Corinne shook her head and simply ignored them, getting tired of announcing that he was not her boyfriend. Crossing her arms over her chest, she looked over to the officers as they got into their car and drove away, carting the man away and letting her eyes move to Alexander, narrowing her eyes just slightly at the cheeriness of his voice. "That's the end reaction of punching a guy in the face?" The question was rhetorical, shaking her head just slightly and moving in to the bookstore and clutching her purse for the fear of it being stolen again. [/list:u]

His eyes narrowed at her sharp words, scoffing. "The end reaction of being happy to get moving after waiting for what felt like a hour." he kept his steps behind her, walking at her pace but at least keeping her in his sight. He hadn't heard any of the boyfriend business, too busy silencing everything but the sound of sirens.

  • Rolling her eyes at him, Corinne moved around the front counter of the bookstore, a male employee of the store moving toward her, he paused for a moment, "Sorry you experience outside the store. Good thing your boyfr-" Corinne didn't even let him finish his sentence, her hand grabbing onto his shirt and moving him to the side immediately. "Don't even say it." She didn't want to hear it. Moving passed him instantly, Corinne moved between the aisles of books to find the books that Alexander said he didn't already have.[/list:u]

He heard the 'conversation between Corinne and the pedestrian, and he suddenly figured out why she was so moody all of a sudden. He let her go and search for her books, and he went to the little coffee shop they had, getting a quick cup. he needed something to do to occupy himself, letting her go and cool off.

  • Letting out a soft sigh as she was nestled within the books, rubbing her eyes softly, she settled down in one of the seats and dug through her purse, picking up her phone and moving over the touch screen accordingly. Going over her list of books, Corinne hadn't meant to be somewhat moody with him, not the random guy but Alex, though she was just a wee bit pissed. Sure, it would have been fine if they were actually together, but Jesus, the constant barrage was annoying. Finding her books after standing up and reading through her list, checking off the three that she didn't need, Corinne moved to the front counter and bought her books before using her phone to send him a text message. I'm done.[/list:u]

He got her text message, and, after draining the rest of his cup and throwing it away, went up to the front of the store to wait for her. When he saw her, he smiled softly, waiting for her to get closer before walking with her back to the car. "I'll buy lunch, wherever you want to stop." he said in his soft voice.

  • Her books set in an environmentally friendly recycled bag, Corinne looked up and easily noticed him standing at the doorway, moving toward him and biting lightly on her bottom lip. The look on his face leaving her curious on the inside as to how he could change his aura so quickly, Corinne glanced up at him on their way out when he spoke of buying lunch. Still biting on to her bottom lip, Corinne moved to her car after placing her bag into the trunk, "What is wrong with you?" She hadn't meant it to come out the way it did, though shaking her head lightly, she easily added, "Why are you being so nice to me?"[/list:u]

He shrugged slightly. "Because I can?" In all honesty, he wasn't sure himself. Maybe it was to make up for aggravating her a lot in the last day. He slid into the couch easy. "Why should you care either way? It's free lunch." He sat back in the seat, his eyes closing as he let out a soft sigh to relax.
