Ceres

His laughing made her laugh again just happy to see his humor once more. Her nose wrinkled up some with the action. "Oh, that is something that I'd actually like to see." She put both her hands up in front of her posing to be a tree for a moment and then all of a sudden, she moved saying: "Boo!" Which just ended up in her laughing and swaying on her feet ending up down on one knee because she wasn't fast enough to grab onto his hand. Seemed that she was no worse for wear nor her spirits dampened since she was still laughing though even though she was now a downed witch in the snow. The image of some poor soul running away spooked dancing through her head.

With a deep breath, she got to her feet shakily once more and chuckled again. "Huh, I'll make it to that river with you somehow." Her balance felt seriously off and she took a moment to pause to consider herself. This weakness seemed to be getting worse since she'd foolishly cast when her resources were low. It'd depleted some of her physical and spiritual energy as well to make up the difference. So there was nothing actually physically wrong with her. Just her strength and stamina was near non-existent. "Loseidon, if your offer is still open and you feel up to it, I think it may be better if I did let you carry me. Otherwise, we might get there some time tomorrow." Of course, that was a measure of trust there too.

Loseidon would watch as she would move her own hands out and after standing still for a moment, she would suddenly jolt saying boo. He wasn't sure what the meaning behind the word was but the way that she laughed, it must have been the right thing to do. He would aim to mimic her motion though one couldn't really tell he did anything much as he just simply stopped moving before suddenly letting out a thunderous "Boo!" The action scarring off a few nearby birds. He would think to laugh more but Ceres lost her footing and went to a knee. He would pause, tilting his head to the side as she would pull herself up of her own accord.

She would turn to him once more and aim to accept his offer from earlier. He cared little of how long it took on his account, he had nowhere to go in every sense of the word but she on the other hand. He would give a simple nod and bring himself down to a knee as well, leaning forward to place an arm onto the ground for her to sit upon. His other hand would come around the front, almost like a guard rail for her to hold onto to steady herself if she would need to do so.

Once she was seated proper, he would pull himself up to his own feet once more, almost losing his balance but a tree would keep him from falling. A slight shift would show the tree was now just a bit off now from the encounter. "Comfortable enough?"

Ceres

Down on one knee in the snow, Ceres almost laughed herself right onto her backside but managed to keep herself where she was for the time being. She was more than amused by the fact that Loseidon had copied her on laying in wait as a tree for some unknowing passerby and getting to scare the dickens out of them. He'd scared all the birds off and that just amused her more. Still chuckling to herself, she managed to make it back upright on her own. Sheer stubbornness winning out there but that might not be a bad thing at all.

Which may have made it all the more curious that she accepted his offer to carry her. Why? Well, she didn't really want to linger out here and grow the chances of Loseidon being seen. That'd be something that she wouldn't be able to explain to any of the villagers and thus made it dangerous. So, it was wiser to make this short. Not that she'd let that on to him as he'd probably see them as just annoying pests to be eliminated, which may be the truth but where there was one pest, more were soon to follow. So best not to invite trouble.

Her breath caught when he knelt down and offered her his arm. A little smirk played upon her face but she did sit on his arm needing his hand for a moment to steady herself before she found her balance well enough. Although, he seemed to have a little difficulty standing once more since she threw his balance off. "Comfortable? Never thought I'd hear you ask that but I'm fine. Are you?" She eyed the tree that had kept him upright and chuckled softly. Of course, she was closer to his face now and was reminded of having him in her lap the night before. "That way." She motioned off to the left. "It shouldn't be too far now." Curious, she reached up and brushed a little snow from his horn closest to her before a smirk worked over her features. "We're a good pair. Both recovering and not at the top of our game. I keep stumbling and you're still regaining your strength. I'm not too heavy for you, am I?"

It was always something to see her force through. So small in the grand scheme of things in both the cosmic scale, of which he wasn't thinking, but mainly just the actual size between her and pretty much anything around them. The trees, the mounts of snow off in the distance and of course, himself. Yet, she continued to laugh even though she had found herself on that very ground. Loseidon would think of his body, beaten and bloody resting lifeless at her side, the creature felled from his wounds if she had not found him.

Would he have survived on his own? Would he have been found by some other and been put down or imprisoned? Dead seemed the most likely of the options but that was just where his mind would go, time and time again. Then there was Ceres, the most unlikely of saviors to say the least and from what little she had told him, the nearby mortal folk did not take kindly to her use of witchcraft and magic. It would not sit right with him on any plane but that aside, he would bring his attention back to her as she would ask him if he was fine after he made sure she was.

"I am. Light head." He would turn his head toward the direction she had pointed and as if on her command, began to tread forward, taking normal strides for himself which would surely cut the time down in great measure. As she spoke of them making quite the pair, he would turn his head ever so slightly downward to see her. "You are... pleasantly light... Like a balanced weapon...perfectly made for each other." He wasn't sure what he could compare her to as it was the perfect analogy for himself, almost to the point of causing embarrassment. The second part seemed to come more from what one lacked, the other seemed to be able to make up for yet it could be construed as a more meaningful comment.

Ceres

Ceres thought carefully over his being lightheaded as she rested a hand on his upper arm just to help keep her balance really. Although, it really wasn't that hard as his strides were surprisingly smooth. She thought about making some wise remark about being carried almost like a horse carrying a rider but thought there was a small possibility of upsetting him and getting dropped. So, may be a better idea to just keep as a thought for now. Although, a little smile did play on her face. "Maybe you just need a bit more water and food to help set you right." Fall back on trying to get him right, that should be her main concern rather than making light of the situation.

How odd it'd be for someone to see them like this. Indeed, the villagers may get the wrong idea. Actually, there was no doubt that they'd get the wrong idea. Thoughts like he was kidnapping her, which may be a possibility. Or she was in cahoots with him, which may hint at her being a witch. Of course, didn't he look a lot like the beast that was said to be in the thick of the war to the East? She wondered if he was that rumored colossus. Although, even if he was, she preferred to make her own judgement of a person and so far, she rather liked his company, attempted squish aside, of course.

She laughed at his analogy with her. "A balanced weapon? Well, I admit to hoping to have a sharp wit but never been called a weapon before." She put her free hand on her hip and glanced toward him with a little smirk. "Shall I sit on your shoulder and frighten away your foes with a scary 'boo?'" A soft chuckle left her before her eyes brightened up as she spied the river up ahead. "There it is. You are much faster when you don't have to wait for me. Thank you though for your help. I helped you and now, you've helped me." She nodded at the thought. "I'll just need to touch the dirt there on the river bank."

The ability to move at his own pace without any limiters on himself aside from his own well being was freedom in its own right. He had no rush aside from simply getting her to the river and even that seemed to be going rather well. It was enjoyable to say the least to move through the trees and snow without worry of any sort of stray ballista bolt or elemental mayhem to cause him to veer off course. Her words would come off the wind. "Maybe."

The idea of being fed once more did play into his mind as now he was upright and surely able to do such things himself. Though, he did not wish too after the sort of care she gave him. The very idea was enough to cause him to grow hungry but more so, to be pampered. What would he do now after he was truly back to his fullest? The idea traced itself into his mind even though he felt it was not wanted there. There would always be war in the time and if ever he so chose, he could surely begin one himself though he might end up as he had before.

She would break him from this distressing thought to comment about his fondness of her and having never been called as such. At the idea of using her to scare off any potential foes, there would be another rumble of laughter to come from him. The very idea was ludicrous and from the image that she planted in his head was far more enjoyable than it should have been. He almost did not catch himself in time to stop before the river, his feet come to a lighter step just before touching the waters edge as he was still enjoying the thought whilst trying to calm his own laughter.

He would lower himself to his knees and lower her to the side, as to not get wet but be able to get down with only a few inches of air between her footfall and the ground. His laughter finally getting under control, he would raise his attention to her. "That...was enjoyable. Thank you Ceres."

Ceres

Now if only Ceres could be privy to his thoughts on getting fed and pampered. She'd have her hands on her hips and be shaking her head thinking that he was getting spoiled. Of course, wouldn't that be a strange thing to consider. A being of his size looking for one woman to look after him. It was a laughable image. Although, Ceres wouldn't know about these thoughts, amusing as they may be. So, we may never know just what her reaction would be.

She was happy to have made him laugh again with the idea of scaring off his foes for him. It made her chuckle along with him until they got to the river. It was easy enough for her to slide off his arm onto her feet and her hand remained on his upper arm for just a moment as her balance wavered. She didn't mention it since it was the norm for her at the moment. Her gaze did lift to his and a smirk crossed her face. "I like making you laugh. Thanks for the ride."

She looked carefully about before using her other senses to feel where the line was. Her face brightened. "You've an eye for these things or are lucky. We're right on top of it." That was an amusing thought as she got down on one knee there in the snow and dug down shifting the snow away until her hands could touch the frozen grass beneath it. She reached with her spirit down and further still beneath the river bed to the natural flow of magic that followed the river there. Ever so lightly, she touched the ley line and the power swept into her with a surge making her sway a moment unsteadily. Outwardly, her hair would lift from her shoulders as if statically charged and a glow would come to her eyes along with the seam between her lips. Stimulating was not the word for drawing power of a ley line. It was more like a jolt and Ceres needed only a minute before she fell back on her ass in the snow laughing. "Hah! What a rush!" Her hair drifted back about her shoulders to lay normally once more and the glow faded. Her gaze traced up to Loseidon with a goofy little grin. "I'm right as rain now. I'd even offer to race you back home." Yeah, touching raw power like that was a bit on the intoxicating side.
