Hellfire (with Leon)

The way that she shift beneath him, so unaware and defenseless. The term easy pickings came to mind in the moment. No fuss, no pain even, it would be over before either of them could register what had happened if he put enough pressure into the drop. He'd done less with similar results, though he had never cared prior to check if it was truly painless. It was like breathing at this point in his very long life. One life there and in the next moment, gone. Like a bug underfoot.

It did not take him long to notice that her body had changed, those golden eyes looking at him and then the claw that held itself not too far from her body. He could still do it, even now. He just needed to let the weight of his arm drop down and it would still be quick. Why was it that above all things, he kept thinking of making it painless? Was it that? Or was just pushing himself into a self made corner? Bringing up things that he had never thought before in order to delay.

His name. He heard it come from her lips in a tone that held no anger or true fear. As her eyes closed, there would be a moment before the fingers of his clawed hand would pull themselves away, his body shifting backward into a seated position, his posture slouched forward, arms seemingly dead weight against his sides.
"Can't...do it...Won't...do it..."

Ceres

Foolish. Yet, the witch had committed to this. Ceres had known that helping him might have been the last thing that she'd ever do. She just... she just didn't expect it to come this soon and really, who really did expect death to come? Loseidon was acting off instincts just as she did with her nurturing. The redhead could not fight them any more than that horned titan could. Nor could a wolf, rabbit or even a bear. They were nature's way of shaping a creature to survive and fit into the world. So, no, this was not something that she could fault him for. He was following his nature and what he knew. Perhaps even simply following a familiar path since everything had been shaken up for him finding himself downed and in the care of one so small and foreign.

The decision of what he would do needed to be something that he made. If she'd fought him, that may have just made it a challenge or game out of it. There was also the fact that she would have shown him that she had no faith in his word. Also, would she have had the time to actually cast a defensive spell? Perhaps but her chances were on the slim side. So, trust had to start somewhere and she'd closed her eyes allowing him the moment to feel out his feelings. Why not stare into his eyes and dare him not to do it? That would've pressured him and she wouldn't leave him if he were to end her life with a look of sadness.

Yet, no crushing pressure came and a moment later, she heard him move shifting beside her. She looked to find him sitting beside her looking for all the world like he'd been let down or perhaps disappointed in himself. Her curious eyes traced up toward his face catching on his gaze as she felt her body relax slowly like some bow being unstrung. His words made her sigh softly and smile a little lop-sidedly. "I am rather thankful that you won't." And she was. A little chuckle left her sounding odd in the wake of her near-death experience as she took in the sight of him. "Look at you, up and moving about already. That's grand even if the first thing you thought about doing was squishing me." Oh moon and stars, was she really teasing him? Maybe it was a little bit of revenge. He had thought about repaying what she'd done for him by taking her out. Thanks... She crossed her arms over her chest with a little huff. "See if I want to feed you again." That may have been going a bit far but he'd demonstrated a sense of humor so far and she was trying to draw it out once more. Pointedly, she looked away from him as if she were insulted by the idea of being squished. Well, if he were in her position, he too may be a little put out by being randomly squished like some bug.

Don't kill her. That set of words overtook any sort of mindset that he had prior. He wasn't sure why they were there. Was it to stop himself from doing it? Was it there for him to fight? Just the action of moving his hand toward her was hard enough but it was simply chalked down as his weakened state but even as he was right then, it wouldn't have been hard to take the life of a sleeping woman. The more he tried to think about it, the more the words would come to mind again. Don't kill her.

His head would rise ever so slowly as she would speak of being quite pleased that he did not follow through with his actions. She would even seemingly find some sort of humor in the near death experience. She would tease him with what he was about to do but praise him for his recovery. It wasn't until she brought about the penalty of not feeding him that his posture would lean forward more, the claws of his hands taking hold of his legs.
"N-No...I like...Ceres' food."

Ceres

"I can't make you food if you squish me." Cheekily, she stuck her tongue out at him before she looked up to him with a little grin. Suddenly, this whole situation was simply hilarious to her as a soft giggle left her. Here she was teasing a monster that'd just been about to make her into hand cream literally. She took a deep breath and looked up to his face. "Apologize to me and I'll consider making you food once more." Hah, that made it sound like she thought that she was in charge of this whole thing. Well, she had gotten herself into this mess but she wasn't quite sure if either of them were the leader over the other. They just sort of were co-existing. Of course, had Loseidon ever regretted some of his actions? Honestly, she thought that was a really slim chance as he seemed to always have his mind set on what he wanted to accomplish.

He had plenty of ways of getting the food for himself, hell, he would soon be at a point where he could feed himself. Why was the mere threat, joke or no, so disheartening. He felt something else when Ceres fed him, something he had little in the way of knowing completely what it was. He was not stupid enough to know that his actions had consequences but he had to let it be known that he would atone for his would-be wrongdoing. "I...wasn't thinking...For...give me...I will...atone..."

The ability to know that keeping this going was to show that he was indeed willing to compromise, change. He was not one to play well with others but he was not so stupid as dissuade an ally that he was finding in Ceres. A mistake was made and he knew that using force would get him nowhere. He needed to do something more, something less threatening in order to win her favor.

Ceres

Her arms were still crossed as she listened to him yet, she wouldn't look at him. Cheeky woman. Finally, after a long moment, she did turn her head to look at him. Those golden eyes of hers studied his own. "I forgive you." She offered to him finally. Lifting her chin some, she appeared to be judging him fit for a secret before a little smile tugged at one corner of her mouth that hinted on a smirk. "You gave me your word that you wouldn't harm me and you didn't." She took a deep breath before inclining her head in a nod. "You have my trust, Loseidon." That was no easily earned thing either.

Pushing herself up into a sitting position, some errant locks of red fell into her face, which she brushed away. She lifted her arms over her head stretching a little lazily. "Did you sleep well?" She asked curiously. Well, that was assuming that he had slept. Did he need to sleep? She wasn't quite sure. Her gaze was curious on him. Stars but he was big. It was amusing to think that she'd managed to get him here. Thank you to the wonders of magic. Seems anything was possible.

He would watch her, seemingly any sort of movement that would indicate anything, any sort of emotion with anger being the most common that he knew many different signs. When she turned her attention back to him, he would look in the golden orbs that she would call eyes. The words came to him in a pleasant wave. The small crack that formed on her face would seemingly cause his posture to relax, his hands coming together. "Thank...you...Ceres." Trust was an odd word that he never really understood completely. It was seemingly a fools word that gave no real merit.

But it did seem to open paths that would otherwise be closed to them and if that is what it took to get himself put into the good graces of Ceres, then so be it. He would try and make good on this trust she placed upon him. He would watch as she would stretch and ask how he had slept. He would simply stare and then the question would sink in.
"Wasn't...Needed...Rested...Enough..." He would let his posture aim to straighten but just enough so that the large horns did not scrape the ceiling.

"Did you... sleep well?.. Minus...the...awakening..."

Ceres

It seemed that Loseidon was recalling more of her language as it seemed to be coming easier to him or at least, that was the feeling that she got. Well, it stood ot reason that the more that someone used a skill, the better that they got it. That fact was probably the same for his kind as well. So, she spoke as she normally would with him letting him figure it out. There may be confusion later at some point but they'd cross that bridge when they came to it. Of course, that made her curious as well as to what language was his native tongue. Perhaps, perhaps she would ask yet that'd have to wait since he'd answered her question about sleeping and provided one of his own.

Nodding her head, she agreed thoughtfully that he'd had enough rest. Hell, he'd been out when she'd found him in the woods. How long that he'd been out there before she'd come across him was anyone's guess. Still, it was satisfying to see how he was before and to look at him now. If she hadn't seen him before, she wouldn't have recognized him as the same creature that she'd found half-dead. Even for being in that state, he didn't look all that worse for wear, which was good.

Her gaze followed him trying to sit up a bit yet the ceiling wasn't quite cooperating. "Tall..," she said absently as if she still couldn't quite believe it and well, seeing him prone and now upright was quite the different perspective. Almost deceptive really. She wondered how tall that he really was on his feet. Stars, she'd be a wee thing beside him like a child. A little bit of concern crossed her features though. She couldn't have him uncomfortable by having to duck all the time. Her cottage just was not monster sized. It was sized for one little witch. That's it but it was keeping the cold of winter out. She'd have to do something.

Getting to her feet, her skirt swayed about her ankles as she turned away from him to adjust her corset once more. He may or may not know about modesty or manners or anything like that to her knowledge. "How did I sleep? Pretty well actually." All things considering like the furs being semi-comfortable and being near her questionable guest, yeah. Turning back to look at him, she found that she had guessed right earlier. She didn't measure up too high with his height, which made her chuckle softly since she had to look up to see his face. That was a novel experience.

Turning from him, she walked over to the other side of her cottage and trailed a hand over her bookshelf before pulling out some large green tome. She set it on a table that was obviously a work area for her and thumbed through the pages. "As far as the awakening, Loseidon," she said as her eyes scanned the pages. Not finding what she was looking for, she flipped a few more pages with a huff before her eyes brightened and she tapped her finger on a particular bit of text. Her search over, she could continue her conversation. She glanced up to him not looking mad merely curious as she tried to understand him. "Why... Why did you hesitate earlier? I'm grateful that you did but I want to understand. You had me and could've rid yourself of me easily." Oh, this was a dangerous topic. Yet, there was an earnest need within her to understand him. What had prompted him to make the attempt? Had he simply been following his nature like she'd guessed earlier? If she couldn't understand him, it would forever bother her for not making the proper attempt to do so.

Those eyes of hers traced his face a moment before looking down to her book instead of pinning him with a stare. She set it a iron holder that would keep the book upright and open to the page she needed as she swept a cloth over the wooden table. Indeed, it was almost like she'd introduced a topic of the weather rather than some discussion of what his motives had been in moving to crush her or better yet, what had stopped him and saved her? Grasping a piece of chalk, she drew a wide circle on the table. "Magicae mundi..," she began to cast in a quiet voice as she listened to him as well. "Magicae ex spatio..." Her chalk traced out another circle within the first, smaller in diameter, of course. "Luna matrem suam..." A small drawing of the crescent moon at the center of the circle. "Filiam tuam vocat te..." A few smaller circles were made in the track between both circles followed by some runes. Then some lines were drawn out from the moon to join the smaller circle almost looking like spokes on a wagon wheel. "Audi me, et det mihi votum!" As soon as she finished drawing the last line of the wheel, the diagram glowed brightly with a silver light that illuminated the room brilliantly and bathed Ceres' face as pale. Her eyes were closed as she took a deep breath as if steadying herself before opening them. No gold could be seen only the same silver glow. Her arms lifted from the table toward the ceiling. "Crescere!" There was a low rumble and groan from the beams of the ceiling of her cottage and Ceres looked like she was concentrating even harder as she bent her elbows before straightening her arms almost like she was lifting something overhead. When she did that motion, the ceiling shifted and was pushed upward stretching upward like some vaulted ceiling. Now maybe... just maybe Loseidon may be able to stand without hitting his head. Outside, the cottage looked no different than before. Inside though, she'd stretched the actual space to make it bigger. So her home was now bigger on the inside. She dusted off her hands as she blinked and the glow faded from her eyes. "Hmmmm perhaps monster-sized now."

The creature would try and keep his movements still with little activity from what he had done. Laying down was okay but as he took note, being vertical was a larger challenge. He did not wish to cause unneeded destruction to her residence, it would quickly cause the trust he had earned to disappear just as suddenly as he had just gotten it back. The single word would come from her lips as she took in the fraction of the height he was currently.

He would watch as she would rise, the dress seemingly dancing around the edges of her ankles and turned from him, doing something that he couldn't quite see. She would add that she did have a rather enjoyable sleep, all things considered. She would bring herself back around to face him yet again, her eyes once more skimming over his form. What was she thinking was all he could wonder.

Whatever it was, she would turn from him and this time, begin to leave but not out of sight. She would stop to take hold of a book that was green in color and then being to go through the pages on a desk while bringing up waking up. Though, her words would trail off as she continued to look for something in the book, he simply sat patiently till she would turn back to him, asking a simple question. Why. It was a fair question and a question that he was obligated to answer.
"I kill...it has...always been...To live...I kill to not be...killed."

He would let the palms of his hands turn over so that the backs of his hands would rest on the floor, his claws raised upward. "But Ceres...You...could have killed me...I was weak...you did not..." He would then let the claws tap against the tips of one another. "I also...like being fed...by you...It is...pleasing." He would watch as she would begin to mark something on the wall, surely it was what she was looking for in the book but the symbols were unknown to him. There was a bit of...anger deep down. Not knowing what the symbols meant would mean that she might be trying to trap him to make sure he did not try his actions again. Maybe she was trying to send him away, to be a problem for someone else.

He would think about trying to make it across the room to try and destroy the symbol but before he could, there was a blinding glow. His head would shift downward to stop a direct line of sight. He would raise his head once more, hearing words and her arms pulling upward. She looked as if she was holding something or trying to stop herself from being crushed by some unseen force. Though, the further her hands rose, he would look up to see that the room was....growing. As she would wipe her hands of an unseen dust, he would look around.

There was a pause, taking in the situation in full. His hands would hold the ground, his legs pulling up underneath himself. The colossus would seem to move slowly, each body part shifting as if moving too fast might cause something to break, be it the monster or its surroundings. As Loseidon still at his full height, there was an exhale of deep heated breath from his lungs as if he had been set free. He would look down to Ceres.
"Thank you Ceres...This is...better...You are...truly skilled..."

Ceres

So, it was his nature. It was what he did to survive. That made a lot of sense and she nodded her head in understanding as she figured out that spell in her head and just how to set it up so that her goal could be achieved. He surprised her with his observation though. It was true. She could have just left him out there in the snow to let nature take its course. "That is my nature, Loseidon. I cannot walk away if I can help someone. You needed my help. So, I simply did what I needed to in order to help you survive." Of course, he surprised her with that last comment about enjoying being fed by her. It almost broke her concentration as she looked toward him frankly surprised. "Well, you did need to eat and it seemed that the only way it was going to happen was with my helping you." She rubbed the back of her head absently feeling like her face was overly warm. Wait... was she blushing? "I'm still glad that you didn't bite me." She played off before focusing on her spellcasting.

Sadly, she didn't get to see his reaction to her casting since it took all of her concentration. Yet, when it was over, the sight of him getting to stand was a welcome one to her eyes. She smiled a bit softly pleased with her efforts as he thanked her. "Would you look at you on your feet. Getting stronger already," she commented with a smile as she watched him. Her body swayed suddenly with weakness and her hands grasped the table in front of her to keep herself steady. "Perhaps, a bit much so soon for me but at least, you don't have to duck your head."

It took her a good long moment before she felt comfortable pushing away from the table to stand on her own once more. Still a little unsteady but manageable. It'd taken so much out of her to heal Loseidon that it'd be a long while before she was fully recovered unless she could visit a node or ley line but the chances of that were unlikely. There was one in town but she couldn't imagine bringing this titan into town with her. The people would just lose their minds similar to how they would react if they knew that she was a witch. Stubbornly, she forced herself to walk to his side and look up toward him. "You mind if I check your bandages?" She asked. Stars, he was tall. How'd she drag him in here again? Oh yeah, magic.

It was odd to hear that the nature of someone was to actually help. He had known...no one of that sort of type. It was rare still that the sheer appearance of himself did not warrant leaving him to die. It was an oddity that he rather wished to further watch. What sorts of things could helping actually produce? Did he actually care that much to even try that, it was unlikely but to help her. That was a different story entirely as he had begun to enjoy the idea and entertaining it was starting to sound more and more appealing, even with the small amount of time they had known one another.

There would a be a slight shift in his chest as another low rumble of a laughter would come from him at her bringing up the fact that she still had her hand.
"I am glad." She would complement on that he seemed to be getting his strength back and almost directly after, her own seemed to falter. A hand would slowly raise toward her, as if it had intended to stop her from falling to the floor but the table did the job fine enough. It would seem that she had grown weaker either from the spell she had cast or it was his own fault for having to be taken care of. The strain surely was not light on her and to have brought him into his current state was no small feat.

He would watch her intently as she would find her own footing once more and make her way to him. He would slowly turn and the room would begin to swirl, his own movement would stop. He would simply stand there for more than a moment but would then continue as if nothing happened. He would come down to a knee and then the other. He would crouch down once more next to her, his arms out.
"You...need to keep...an eye on your own...health...I will live...but if you do not...I might not..." It was in his nature to not die, he had said this much. And while he seemed fine enough at the time, if he were to find himself in a similar situation, he would need her once more. Though, that did not feel as it was the only reason. Seeing her almost fall brought about a sense of...urgency.

Ceres

Ceres found that she actually enjoyed the sound of his laugh and that made her smile a bit to herself. Hah, even if she had difficultly standing for a moment there. Thankfully, the table was there to help her regain herself for a moment. Although, she half-thought that she saw Loseidon reach out as if to keep her from falling. Nah, that had to be her imagination, right? It wouldn't be of benefit to him to help her, now would it? She took a deep breath and it was sheer stubbornness that kept her on her feet. She'd need to do something about that.

She walked to him and he seemed a little unsteady himself but she didn't comment on it. Just took a mental note of it. She watched him kneel and she reached up to carefully untie the bandage on his arm to peruse the gash there. That was one that she'd had to stitch closed the other day. Her gaze flicked up to his face when he spoke and a little smirk crossed her face. "I'll look out for me too. Don't worry. Although, you have me curious after that. Now why do you think that you wouldn't survive without me?" She asked as she walked back to get a basket filled with some of her medical kit.

"This may be a little sore. So bear with me." She warned him upon her return before she carefully cleaned the wound with some warm water on a damp cloth trying to keep her touch light that it wouldn't hurt but yet still get the job done. "This is looking better. You're healing quicker than I expected." Then she dried it and opened a small jar with some sweet-smelling ointment in there. It was some concoction of honey and herbs. She sniffed it with a little smile before holding it up to him. "Do you want to smell it?"

As she undid the bandages, the wound seemed to pulse at the air that came into contact with it. Loseidon would let his head tilt just enough to see the wound. The massive man that had inflicted the wound was quite the foe. It was surprising that he would be considered a man at all, among his piers on the battlefield, he towered over them. But Loseidon saw him as he saw all the rest, a foe that was simply there for the slaughter.

The battle was still clear in his mind, the waves on waves of bodies being flung into the air, the smell of dirt and blood fusing together for that sweet aroma. The pain never set in at the time, it was only now that he would take full note of it. It was nothing that he wouldn't survive through so there was no reason to make any sort of fuss. She would then ask him what it was he meant by his previous statement about living.
"Ceres rescued me...You could rescue me...again."

He knew only fighting and killing. He could not do that here, with her. He did not know what to do with himself. "I know nothing...aside from..." He would nod his head toward the wound. "War..." His body would tense as she would touch the wound but aside from that, there was little movement from him as she spoke of his ability to heal but it was as she was sniffing something that caught his attention. As she asked if he would like to smell it, he would lean over, he would sniff but it would sound more like he might accidentally inhale the substance.

He would then slowly let the hot air escape his mouth.
"It smells...different...Not bad...but....different..."

Ceres

Ceres laughed softly as she inspected how he was healing up and listened to him. Rescue him? She supposed that she had rescued him, now hadn't she? That wasn't quite how fairy tales went. It was usually the damsel getting rescued from the monster not the damsel rescuing the monster. Hah, no one would believe her even if she told them just what had happened and perhaps, she'd just keep this story of her and Loseidon to herself. She almost didn't believe it herself. "I very well could rescue you again." She said with a little grin on her face. "Just need to be around that way I can find you again or if you're in that much need of rescuing, I might just follow you around." Or he might decide to keep her around himself. Why did an image of her being carried like a sack of potatoes with her complaining the whole time float through her head? Oh no...

His bringing up that he knew nothing beyond war was something that got a rather sad look from her. "Where many are gathered, there will always be conflict but I like to think that there's a lot of good in the world as well. Like you might enjoy testing your strength against another in battle but in the same right, I enjoy hearing you laugh." Oh had she really meant to tell him that? Well, it wasn't a bad thing and it was true. She appreciated his humor. Of course, she saw good in the world even if they didn't see it in her. She could let that part go.

She held onto the jar a bit tighter when he inhaled and chuckled to herself. "I think it smells nice." She commented and took a bit on her finger to smooth lightly over the wound area. It didn't take her too long to finish with that and re-wrap it to keep it clean. Her knees buckled on her one more time then and there and she reached out to hold his arm away from the wound without thinking. She flushed and released him forcing herself to stand on her own once more. "Eh... I'm sorry about that." She glanced toward the door. "I really need to go find a ley line to look after myself here soon."

As she spoke of having to be around in order to save him if he were to ever fall once more, got the gears turning. Keeping her with him would be just as good as any healing he might have to do by himself. Even better actually but then a wrench would throw itself into the mix. If she did come with him where he would need her, she would then be put in the same danger he was facing and in the end, that just would not do.

He would let his head turn so that he would look at the floor before him as she spoke of the inevitable conflict of groups that came at odds with one another. Though, she seemed to see the light in the darker part of things. She would comment about how he found joy in battle and she found joy in his laughter. There was a moment for it to finally catch up in his mind. He never tended to laugh in such a way as he had whilst in this home. It was usually more of an evil cackle, something that meant bad omens for those around him.

She enjoyed his laughter. His. Why was it that made him feel lighter? It made him want to laugh more even. She would continue to speak about the smell being nice. Nice was a word that would describe it.
"It does...It smells nice." She would finish him up rather nicely though as she went to rise, her balance would begin to falter once again. Her hand would find a steady arm to rest against but she would quickly pull herself away.

He turned to look at the place she had put her hand, wanting. He would then look back to her and then to the door.
"Where is...this...ley line?" The behemoth would place a hand onto the ground as he would once more, pull himself up into his full stature as slowly as he had the first time.

Ceres

Ceres hadn't meant to grab onto his arm for support. It'd just been an instinctual thing to do assuming that he would let her lean on him if she needed to. Well, she wasn't immediately squished. So that was a plus. Yet, she didn't push her luck or his patience by lingering. Besides, it wasn't good manners, now was it? Stubbornness had won out as her fortitude in that moment and yet, she still stood with a bit wider stance than normal with her knees slightly bent to keep herself balanced. Well, that was hardly discernible beneath her skirt. So, little to be concerned over really. Although, it was a bit frustrating to have spent herself so.

The redhead noticed him look at his arm, where she'd touched him and she wondered if she'd been rude to do that before he looked toward her and then the door. What was he thinking? He didn't make her wait long to find out. "The ley line?" She asked as she watched him rise slowly before a little snort left her. "Down by the river. Maybe a five minute walk but I'm not positive that I could make it there as I am, Loseidon. Perhaps a bit later in the day or tomorrow." She shrugged lightly as it was no big deal and it wasn't really if she didn't mind being as she was. It was a bit of a novelty really since she hadn't dealt with feeling like this before. Magic came as easily as breathing to her. So being without was a little bit more than strange.

Her posture was different, steady came to mind but that seemed few and far between of pressing issues. She would speak to him and tell him that the ley line that she brought up prior was somewhere near a river that was five minutes away. He assumed that meant that it was not too far from where they were. Though, she would tell him that she seemed to be in a position that was not great for walking. "That...will not do. I shall...take you..."

The idea of her faltering near the table came to mind and then as she was right at his side. What if she were to fall where nothing would be there to help. Help. She had done the same thing for him. Moving him from somewhere because it was in her to do so. He would turn to face her, slowly leaning forward till his face came less than a foot from her own. The warm air coming from him would surely be felt at this range.

"I want to... help you now..." His hand would come ever closer, just at her side, waist height to her if she so desired to prop herself upon it.

Ceres

Warm, oh his breath was warm on her face. He'd take her? Just what did he mean by that? And yet, it made her curious enough as her eyes studied his. He was offering to help her? Well, that seemed a little out of character but perhaps, just perhaps, it was just new. The oddest thing for her was the fact that she was okay with him being this close. Huh, not even one bit of shaking. Maybe she was more comfortable with him than she thought or just that foolishly trusting. Could be both. She studied his eyes a moment at his mention of wanting to help her and a wry little smile touched her mouth. "You do?" Was her little echo.

That hand that had been so close to crushing her earlier was at her waist and one small shiver did go through her at the memory. It must have been a sensory memory that her muscles were holding onto. Yet, her gaze didn't falter looking into his eyes as the redhead pushed that memory aside. That was then. This was now. They'd see where this would go. It was really a question of trust and how much that she could place in him. "All right, I'll go with you." She reached out and placed her hand gently on top of his clawed one. That way if she needed to lean on him, she could. After a second thought, she shifted her grip on him to actually hold his hand. It felt more comfortable that way and she tried not to think about the fact that she hadn't held hands with someone for quite some time. "Come with me then. I have no idea how I'm going to keep anyone from seeing you." An illusion spell would be simplest but she worried that with her magic at this low level, it may weaken her enough that walking would be out of the question. Maybe luck would be with them and no one would be in this part of the woods today. At least, that was her hope as she reached to grasp a cloak to put around her shoulders before opening the door to let them both outside.

She seemed hesitant against his offer for the most part and he would not find fault in that. He did not look the part for the walking companion and when it would come to trust, how could someone trust someone they had met not even a full day prior? His appearance would surely also give way to many doubts and his actions not even a few moments before she woke stacked against him. Though, the most curious thing appeared, a smile which was odd to say the least as she would ask him if he truly did. It would be met with a nod of acceptance.

He did not notice her movements as he had kept his attention on her eyes all the while. She would then agree that going with him seemingly outweighed the many different things that said it was not the best of ideas. As her hand come to his own but would shift so that she would hold it with her entire hand which he do his best to accommodate her. She would usher him on and he would take small but heavy steps at her side. She would speak about having little idea of how others seeing him would be a problem.

He did not see an issue with this himself, he would simply kill any sort of interloper that would come to them. Loseidon may have spared her from a sudden death but he would not aim to grant this boon to all that he saw.

"I dislike...hiding...but I will...if it comes to it." His words were starting to come together. The plane was starting to finally grow on him and with his time not taken with the art of battle and actually aiming to speak the words of the land, it began to meld within him. Though, the idea of hiding wasn't his best idea but maybe if the trees were large enough he could try that but even then, it was a stretch. Simply killing would suffice if he failed.

As they came to the door, she would cloak herself and they would exit. The outside was odd as he would look back on the home to find that he was once more greater in height than it once more. It would seem that the magic was something that only transformed the inside, leaving the outside normal in its appearance.
"Amusing."

Ceres

Ceres glanced up to that titan of a creature beside him at his mention of hiding. A laugh left her at the image that drifted up into her mind at the notion. "That sounds like a challenge all in itself." She could just imagine him trying to hide behind a tree but the trunk wouldn't be near wide enough to cover his chest. Although, maybe his horns could blend in for branches. Another chuckle left her at that thought. "I appreciate your efforts on not bringing the village down on us just yet." She could just imagine someone running screaming off to the village with tales of her walking with a some monster. That'd bring down a mob with pitchforks and maybe they'd figure out that she was a witch. She swallowed lightly at that thought. Witches were not treated kindly anywhere and she had no fancy to find out about those treatments first hand.

Once outside, she glanced back to see what he found amusing only to see that he was taller than her cottage. A little smirk crossed her features. "Well, it worked to keep you comfortable and no one out here is the wiser that anything is out of the ordinary." She glanced back up toward him. "You are quite tall." She commented off-hand really feeling that height difference now that she was walking at his side.

"The river is this way," she said and walked forward to the right down a trail that was covered over in snow. The air was crisp and cool leaving Ceres feel a little chill trying to settle on her skin. She drew her cloak a bit closer about her shoulders. The snow-crunched underfoot beneath them both as she looked out over the white-washed forest. The sounds were dampened by the snow and the quiet was a little relaxing for her. It must have been an odd sight for any passerby to see them walking hand in hand. She'd gotten a good distance with him before stumbling and having to lean on him. Her free hand found his wrist to hold onto as well and help pull herself back upright. She had to stop there and catch her breath as she held onto him before her eyes traced up. "Thank you." She took a slow breath trying to regain some strength. "It's good to see you walking as well as you are. How do you feel?" There she went making this about him and not about her own weakness even though truly, she was concerned over him and wanted the best for him.

The why in which Ceres laughed was something that would cause a bit of ease within Loseidon. He did not hate it nor did he wish it to stop, like the spray of a arrogant mans blood from a swift strike to silence them. A example that in the norm of the land would seem harsh but for him, it was a happy time. The comment about her enjoying the fact that he did not go out of his way to cause a ruckus and ensue the wrath of the nearby town was appreciated. "Not a problem." While the idea was a dream to him, bringing harm her way did not bring him the peace of mind he'd like.

Loseidon would look to her as she spoke of his height and that no one would be any wiser to her witchcraft from the outside alone. It was clever magic and he could not understand the idea of anyone not wanting to keep her close. She would point the way and they would begin, once more, he aimed to keep pace with her own stride, taking small steps for himself in the process. Each breath that he took would become fully visible in the cold air added to the overly heated breath itself. Seeing so much white everywhere was quite the sight from anything he had ever seen. Everything felt as though touching it would cause it to crumble and there was a bit of truth to it as snow clumps would fall from tree branches from time to time.

He would stop as she stumbled and he became her crutch so that she wouldn't meet with the cold ground. He would move his free hand around in case she were to tumble. "I feel...complacent. But are you okay? If you need... to rest, we shall rest." His hands would come to her sides once more. "Shall I carry you... the rest of the way?"

Ceres

Ceres was glad that he'd come with her as she was certain that she wouldn't have made it to the river. Possibly wouldn't have made it this far either. She took a deep breath trying to steady herself and hadn't quite felt steady enough to lean off his hand. Stubborn woman looked up to him as he brought his other hand around almost protectively. That seemed a little out of character or was she just judging him too soon. Both were certainly a possibility. "I'll be all right." There was that stubbornness again. That drive to push herself to betterment.

Of course, that was a question, now wasn't it? Did she need to take a break? Did she want him to carry her? Hell, she hadn't been carried since she was a child. She wasn't sure how to feel about it either. It certainly may be faster considering how he was having to walk for her to keep up with him. Yet, she didn't want to push him either with healing. "I'm not sure if carrying me might slow your own recovery." Of course, she wasn't sure about his capabilities at the present moment or at full health either. So why push it? Her legs didn't seem to want to cooperate just yet. Maybe a few more minutes and then she could go on.

She was stubborn to say the least in her commitment to not asking for his aid outright. Though, he would surely be the same way if the roles were reversed and he able to deny accordingly. Once more, her nature would shine through like a beacon in the blackest night sky, bringing his own well being into question over the situation if he did carry her. "Then we must...recover Ceres first...so I may recover." He would bring his head up to look at the trees around them, the snow hung close to a branch by his head. He had been curious and if they were stopped, he might as well.

One of his arms would raise, ever so slowly to the branch, a single claw extended and with a flick of the finger, the branch would snap. What was the more enjoyable part was the sound of the branch breaking. Descruction in such a simple form but also, the falling of the snow from said branch would be another sight all in its own. The sight of the branch on the ground and the snow that continued to fall ever so lightly from the action, even a bit more in the tree's higher branches would begin to fall. Snowflakes abound in the small area around him and her, this was what he enjoyed. The destruction of something so that something else would come from it.

Ceres

Ceres looked about as that snapped branch sent a multitude of snowflakes drifting about them. The sight made her breath catch and even made Loseidon seem as though he belonged in that scene. Even if he looked as though he could face down an oncoming army and laugh. Here, he seemed perhaps as caught up in the wonder of the moment as she was.

A small laugh left her as she reached up to brush the snow out of her hair and glanced at him. "You've got snow all over your horns and shoulders. Is that a new way to camouflage yourself?" She teased him. "Someone might mistake you for a tree perhaps. Want me to brush it off for you?" Another laugh left her at that idea of him as a tree and someone happening upon him like that, leaning against him only to get a big surprise. That was very amusing. "I can only imagine some traveller's surprise discovering that you're not a tree."

Loseidon enjoyed the simplicity of the action, like he needed it in some way, deep down. It wasn't trying to break out but that subtle itch that once scratched, could finally be ignored. The way that the snow would come down had now grabbed his attention like seeing something like it for the first time. It had been but that was beside the point as it coming down around was interesting. It did not hurt nor did it hinder him even if there was some much of it coming down.

His attention would turn down to Ceres as she seemed to really enjoy the snowfall, bringing up the fact that a good bit had come to find a home on him. He would straighten his posture as she spoke of him looking like a tree and as she asked if he wished it removed, he would shake his head.
"Camouflage." The idea was simple enough and if it would help their travel, why would he not? The very idea of someone coming up to him with no idea was something he found entertaining, a light shifting and the familiar rumble of a laughter would escape him, a bit more snow falling from him in the motion. "That would be... entertaining."
