Alright, I have a few ideas for some military-themed role-plays where the player characters are in a squad or platoon of soldiers deployed in a war zone. It could be historical, modern, or maybe even near future, and all scenarios would invoke an Alternate History-type scenario where females are allowed to serve on the front lines alongside their fellow male soldiers. I could even go for an all-female platoon as well.

I'd prefer if the players were ordinary grunts rather than elite Special Operations units, but I am open to the idea of the PC's playing elite commando types if that is what is demanded most.

I'm also open to futanari, hermaphrodite, or other non-standard genders if enough players are comfortable with such things. I've not done much with such characters, but I am willing to experiment and if other players like it, I won't judge.

Overall, I'd like the characters to have a sort of anime-inspired look or feel to them, so if I get enough interest to start a character signup thread, I'd prefer if the PC's would use either a written description or an anime picture of their character's appearance.

As for the actual setting, I'd prefer either 20th Century or 21st Century settings, but I have a few notable plots in mind and I'll attach a poll listing the options.

I was thinking about that on what could happend for our group yo break away from the NPCs. As they are about to go on the recon ops. We can have them find out that the Russians are about to make a finally push against them as at that point their command had most likely left them to themselves as well. They can report back to the base just before it is hit and after abit of a battle. They pull back in a small group and begin their journey to a safe location. I through about this as it would get rid of NPCs and also give more reason for when they run into former friendly and enemies that turned Rogue. That's just i idea I had, I'm good for anything. And Mario, I'm not on all the time, but I will give you any ideas I come up with for the thread, so you don't feel overwhelmed on taking over the story.

That's a good idea, Jaeger. I was hoping to have the players use their weaponry for a moment in a losing battle situation, and have them pull back to a safer location.

Now I've been thinking about it, and I'm going to put my chips on an old, underground series of connected bunkers and tunnels just behind the first allied front lines there where we are. One of the players should be able to spot the opening and, calling out to the rest of the group, they'd all pile in just before a building collapses and the debris lands on top of the entrance and blocks it off, thus preventing outside NPC interaction. There will be points where the bunkers/tunnels will give way to openings to the surface, but for the most part it'll be dimly-lit and unmapped like a dungeon-crawler. Thus, there'll be potential to stumble upon rogue friendly units, enemy contacts, desperate civilians and worse while at the same time providing little safe spots for character building and interaction, both tame and intimate.

But there's a problem- I'm not sure where everyone is.

Most everybody is in the main camp, I think, with the exceptions of a couple people.

I personally love this idea. Plus, it’ll give more opportunities for those few player characters to interact, for friendships, rivalries... and perhaps more. :D

I'm back and I do apologize for my long absence. Real life sort of threw me some curveballs and the recent Easter holiday has only complicated things, but luckily I am back to resume work on my RP's.

I understand real life taking priority, but it's been a month since the creation of the IC thread and you've done nothing but accept a character into the RP. At least one minute during that entire month could have been spent with a message saying "hey, shit's fucked so gimmie a minute". But if you want to take things over again, you have the right as it's your RP- always was from the beginning.

Again, I do apologize for that fuckup on my part.

I will admit, you have done a good job of running the RP in my absence. And for that, I thank you.

I also intend to launch a Vampire: The Masquerade RP very soon, so I cannot run this full time but I do want to get more involved in this project that I started and you kept alive.

I think Im going to have tp dessert guys. I want to be in the rp but I dont think I can keep up with you guys and I dont want to drag you down.

There's no pressure. If you want to leave, go right ahead, though I was looking forward to "learning what Adrea's beautiful ass looks like".

Well I was looking to learning what Marcia's looked like. But I can only really play in the evenings and I know that if you guys have to wait for me to get stuff done it will be a drag on you. Like right now where your waiting for Joffre to give orders. Thetes like a page of posts between my last one and now and I just dont know where to start.

I'm fine with waiting. I've got plenty of time- And Joffre can be put on hold if need be, as he's apparently heading to a casino right in Berlin. Then again, it'll be some time before he gets there, so maybe the sound of fighting on the front line could be enough to convince him to come back? And even if it's too late and there just so happens to be a big building/bunch of debris between him and the rest of the group, there's always the opportunity to find an entrance to the underground tunnel/bunker system with any newcomers. That way there'd be two groups trying to meet up?

IDK, just my thoughts.
