Shadowrun: Dark Secrets (Causeway x Theris)

Net nods his head "all set" he says, wrapping up the explosive packages in his bag. Hawk starts to mutter and you feel a slight breeze, "Ready" she says. Rex hops out of the wheel house, one of the Stoners in each arm. He locks them onto their rigs and checks their pivot and aim, "Ready" he rumbles out. Your vision enhancements let you check out the ship in better detail than the others, and you can tell that the ship has spotted you, judging by the activity on deck.

"They've seen us," I say, racking my gun to make sure that everything is in place. "Alright ladies and gentlemen, things shall get loud now. Net, you ready?"

Net looks a little pale as he disconnects himself from his Deck, stowing the delicate electronics for later. He hoists a bag onto his back, and draws his scorpion, checking to make sure he has a full clip. Taking a deep breath he nods to you "Ready as I'll ever be" he says, picking up a long black nylon cable, and ties one end to the ship and the other end around his waist. "They'll probably start shooting at us as soon as we pass their security line, so get ready to take some lead" Rex rumbles from his position. The mounted Stoners coming to life to, twitching back and forth as Rex get them ready for engagement.

As the ships draw closer your able to make out more and more detail, counting both the crew and security forces (10 and 4). You though you saw a fifth security guard, but on closer inspection you only see the four. coming within range you can practically feel the tension as you come closer to their security line, an invisible threshold that tells them when to start shooting.

Please go ahead and give me an initiative roll ^^

I nod to Net, looking him over. "You'll manage," I say, the words feeling hollow, but still needing to be said. With that in mind, I take up position, using the side of the boat as soft cover, raising my assault rifle. "And here... we... go..."

As you set up behind the railing on the ship, taking what cover you can, the Mystical Siren draws closer and closer to the target. Peeking over the side your able to make out more of the men on the deck, their weapons start to come up, and you can feel the tension in the air as everyone holds their breath. Finally, Rex reaches the point of no return. He guns the engines suddenly, the ship lurching forward and roaring in challenge, the men on the cargo-ship flinch, and their guns begin to roar in response.

You've got first turn ^^

You also have a +2 dice pool bonus to your defense rolls for partial cover from the side of the ship
