Shadowrun: Dark Secrets (Causeway x Theris)

"Sure, all sorts, though I will admit that my favorite ruleset is strip poker," I say, giving Rex a wink, him being the only member I have not yet have had sex with.

"Wait, what?" I say as the winds start to pick up. "You mean that no one bothered to check the weather forecasts? At all? FUCK!" I grab ahold of the side of the ship with my cyber hand, it digging into the wood.

Awesome! Just...AWESOME!

Everyone around you bursts into action as the ship is tossed about by the first wave. Rex grabs the wheel and plants his feet, Hawk, takes a marshal art stance, and Net just clings onto the nearest sturdy object. You latch onto the side of the ship, holding on as the wave causes the vessel to list dangerously to one side. But after a moment things straighten out, only for another wave to slam into the ship, this time from the opposite direction.

You brace as the second wave hits, and the blow jars your arms, but you hold on. The ship is listing in the other direction now, but Rex proves he is at least somewhat experienced with this kind of thing, and is able to get the boat back on track. The wind picks up and howls like an angry spirit, and your feel the ship rising beneath you, and it take you a moment to realize that a wave is forming under you. As the ship reaches the peak you find yourself staring down the length of the vessel, as it plummets towards the ocean ahead, and gravity starts to lose its hold on you as the ship picks up speed.

Grasping at your hand hold your able to keep contact with the ship as is plummets down the wave. You come to a quick realization as the ship falls, that the impact is going to hurt. As the wall of water draws closer you brace against whatever you can find that's available, and wait for the hit.

You clench up as the ship slams into the ocean below it, your body slamming into the deck. However the armor that you invested in pays you back in spades now as it takes the brunt of the impact, and leaves you with your breath. Looking up you think you can see calmer waters ahead, however between you and them is some of the stormiest water you've ever seen. Another wave is coming, although Rex has the ship in a good position, taking the wall of water head on. Grasping the railing next to you, you start bracing again for the next hit.

Breaking through the next wave you feel the ship shudder under you for a moment. But everything seems fine and the sea begins to calm around you. The storm is still raging, but the worst seems to be over. Stepping out of the Wheelhouse Net falls to his knees and vomits. Once he finished he looks up miserably "I fucking hate ships" he says, before rolling over and collapsing.

I'm not doing so well myself, pulling myself up over the rail long enough to empty my stomach off the side of the boat. Following the worst of it, I slump down against the side wall, looking like shit. "Y'know..." I say hoarsely, my throat burning from puke, "... I've gained a lot of respect for the maritime community of the Sixth World over the last two hours..."

Net chuckles groggily at your comment,"I... can... relate..." he says, his labored breathing evident. As the ship continues on its coarse the storm quickly abates, the waters calming and some sunlight breaking through the clouds. After a few minutes Hawk joins the two of you, looking just as miserable, and she plops to the deck. Net finaly works up the energy to sit up, "Well... I found something out during that... adventure... I do damn good work" he says, holding up one of the explosive packages and grinning.

I lay there for some time, not looking like I've got anywhere better to be. When I finally drag my ass back to my feet, I begin to check over my gear to make sure that nothing was damaged in the storm. "Rex, did you find anything out about where the hell that came from?"

Rex joins the rest of you, and is the only looking somewhat chipper, He shakes his head at your question however. "No, though my money would be on a Mana Storm over Hawaii, those things can do all sorts of things to the weather" he says. As you check over your gear you don't spot any damage, all in all things were going well. Rex looks you all over "I suggest that you guys get some rest, we've got about 16 hours until our target will be in sight" he rumbles.

"I'll take first watch," I say, double-checking my gun for my own peace of mind. "Can see better in the dark, anyway."

Rex nods his head, and returns to the Wheel house. Your not sure if he intends to pilot the entire way there or will put in on auto pilot and get some sleep himself. The setting sun quickly finishes its decent, and all is well during your watch. Hawk comes up at around 9pm according to your commlink. "Hey, I've got the next watch, go ahead and get some sleep" she says.

Recover all edge if your missing any ^^

Nodding, I head down below deck into the cabin, taking a look at the living arrangements in the cramped space. It's a good thing I seem to get along so well with the people here, otherwise things could get rather unpleasant after a short period of time.

Fortunately, despite the cramped space your able to tell that the ship is able to have a crew of six, if the number of beds is anything to go off of. Net is laying down on the small couch in the living area, eyes closed, though with a decker it can be hard to tell if they are actually asleep. There are several bunks on each wall, with privacy screens and such where needed.

Looking around, I find an empty bunk, and begin to unload my gear. Leaving my assault rifle secured nearby, making sure to take the clip out and open the bolt, I tuck my smartgun beneath the matress, and my revolver under my pillow. I then begin to strip, taking off my boots and jacket first, followed by my tanktop and leather pants. Last but not least, I hang my thong over the privacy screen and climb nude in-between the sheets, letting my exhaustion take over.

you sleep peacefully, only disturbed when the sun rises and someone shaking you awake. Opening your eyes you see Hawk, gently shaking your shoulder to awaken you. "hey there, Its time to get started, the ships should be coming into sight in another hour or so" she says.

Nodding, I wake up, and dig for my pen. "Time for breakfast..." I mutter, as I take a look around to see where the others are and what they're up to.

Hawk looks to be the only one in the room with you. You can hear movement up above you, signaling where the others probably are.

After shooting another load of PAX up my butt, I get dressed and head up on deck, but not before grabbing my gear and arming up first. Up on deck, I scan the horizon with my cyber-eyes. "Any word on the target yet?" I ask.

Rex is in the wheel house as normal, while Net is waiting by the door, his eyes distant. He points out over the bow of the ship, and you think you can see a smudge on the horizon. "They right there, will have better visuals in a few minutes" he says. Hawk joins you on the deck as well, her eyes locked on where Net is pointing.

I activate the vision enhancers in my eyes, trying to zoom in on the smudge to get a better look. "Everybody ready?" I ask, already pretty sure I know the answer.
