She never bolted on them before, like she did when they arrived in Nashville. Matt and the guys weren't sure why she did this. April & Doug were just as clueless. Faith had disappeared after shows. "Matt is something else." she told the engineer with a smile while moving forward and she waved at her band through the glass before she head in to join them. The engineer used the songs to make any changes needed to the audio. He was tapping his foot while listening to the music. He'd never worked with Rewind before, but they pretty damn good. Certainly as good as many of the big named music stars who also record here. The man looked back when the door open and Faith stepped inside. He assumed she was the member the band was waiting for. As the song ended, Faith spoke of Matt being something else. " He is at that.......I didn't expect a big man like that to sing that song so well. " The engineer spoke before Faith slipped out of the control room. She then went straight into the recording studio where her band was setup. All eyes were on Faith as she spoke of being late.


April put down her saxophone, then moved over to stand with her sister. Faith looked okay. She didn't look as if she'd been at any wild parties. " You're not late......Late would mean we started recording without you.......You just made it. " Doug spoke while leaving the keyboards. April stood, crossing her arms over her chest. "Matt is full of surprises." she told him as she slipped back out of the room and then head into the recording studio where everyone was set up. When she entered, they all looked at her and she watched as her sister set down her saxophone and moved to stand with the brunette. As April looked her over, Faith raised an eyebrow at her sister, mimicking her a little before glancing over at Doug when he said that she wasn't late and she shrugged slightly. "I still feel like I'm late." she told them. When April crossed her arms and said that it wasn't like Faith to keep a boyfriend secret from her while giving Faith a disappointed look, Faith frowned slightly at her sister.

She opened her mouth to reply when Doug spoke up and scolded April, telling her that Faith didn't have to tell anyone about her secret man if she didn't want to before he questioned if she was keeping a woman on the side. "First of all, no it's not a woman." she told Doug before looking at April. "And second, he wasn't my boyfriend. I was meeting up with Nick Ford last night." She came right out and admitted who she was seeing. Her siblings would well remember the older man. "He is performing at one of the country clubs in town and I went to see him perform." She glanced around at the others and then looked at her brother and sister again. "I've been seeing Nick off and on for a couple of years. He was... my first lover. We've never been more then just that until last night."
 
Doug just thought he'd ask about it being a woman. Faith wasn't a prude when it came to enjoying other women. It was possible she knew someone in Nashville she was close with. Faith wasn't going to lie to her friends, nor downplay anything. "I'll be honest. I've been in love with Nick for a very long time. And he with me, it turns out. We only just admitted it to each other last night. Someday, the two of us wish to marry and have children. However, I explained to Nick that I have a number of lovers that I don't want to give up. I told him that I've adopted a more open lifestyle in which I sleep with those that I care about. Which includes members of the band." Faith slowly trailed off and looked down at her hands as she stood there, the woman blushing a little before looking up at the others. She then looked at April. "Sorry for keeping this from you for so long." she finally said. "From all of you."
 
Doug never thought of his sisters as being sexually active. He knew they went out after shows, but he didn't think of what they did while out. Doug was there brother, he didn't feel right thinking of what his sisters did. As Faith was talking, Doug was feeling uncomfortable. This development could of changed things drastically for the band, yet Nick being who he was, had been accepting of Faith, so nothing had to change. As she spoke of her personal life in front of Nick, she could see this was making him uncomfortable and she found it a little amusing, but she understood why he was feeling uncomfortable hearing about her personal life and what she and Nick had discussed. When he pointed out that Nick was old enough to be her father and that he was in fact, the same age as their father, Faith sighed and looked at her brother. "I'm fully aware of this." she told him. April moved forward and wrapped her arms around the brunette in a hug, telling her that they forgave her and that they were happy for her and Nick. Faith had actually forgotten about him and she blushed a little more, realizing that he might of heard everything that they had just discussed but she cleared her throat as Doug said that they would be ready in a minute before he asked Matt to get ready. With this, Faith moved further into the room. She had told Doug that she wanted them to record together as they was how they played best. To record them separately and then cut it together just felt so fake to her.
 
With the way Faith wanted to work. She knew the band would record faster then most other artists did. There was no need to lay down the music first, then do the vocal parts later. That would just make their need for studio time longer. Faith knew they could save money by recording like they played on stage. Everyone in the same room, playing and singing together. And Faith was right. They had their first album recorded before the lunch break. This was an album of songs, like they'd just played at the Kansas State Fair. Volume 2 of these songs. The band took a break for lunch, but they didn't leave the studio. In fact, they just ordered pizza and drinks from a nearby restaurant. By not leaving, they could start recording the next album once they were ready. During the break, April had the chance to talk with Faith more about what happened between her and Nick. A cab was called to take Faith back to the hotel she was now sharing with her future husband. She could drop her stuff off, then go join Nick at the club.
 
While some others might scoff at the way Faith wanted to do the recordings, she was being smart about the recordings. She was thinking both about the money aspect and about the performance side of things. The band sounded best when they played together instead of separate. They fed off each others energy and it just made things better. It was a large part of what made their fans love them so much. And of course she was right in doing things this way. Their first album was done before lunch, the group barely having to go back and redo anything. Their songs were well rehearsed and they sounded great. For lunch, they just got pizza and drinks from a restaurant just a couple blocks down brought to the studio so that after they ate, they could continue. During their lunch break, April and Faith sat together away from the others had talked softly about what happened between her and Nick. Faith told April about everything and she told April that Nick knew everything about the porn videos. Of course, she hadn't told him in detail about what was done in the movies, but he knew that she and April were in them and there was possibly going to be more. She explained to April that Nick understood why they were doing them.

Once lunch was over, the band went right back into work. Before the end of the day, they had finished the country album and were working on the disco one. Faith was very happy with how their work had gone so far and she was happy to hear what Doug said about cutting down on studio time if things continued going so well. At the end of their recording time for the day, the band all head back to the bus together. Back at the bus, Faith explained to the others that she would be spending her nights at the hotel with Nick, catching up on things with him and just spending time with him since they'd not seen each other in a long time. While she spoke, she grabbed a couple things and tossed them into a bag. She grabbed a couple changes of clothes and some toiletries. When her sister mentioned them getting married that week, Faith paused and looked at the other woman in surprise. "I don't know April. I'd have to talk to Nick about that. Besides.... what about dad?" she asked. Faith didn't even know if their father would accept that his daughter was marrying his very good friend. It would be nice to have her father there, but there was always the possibility that her father wouldn't accept this marriage. She really needed to talk to her father about this at some point.

With her bag packed up, Faith told everyone she would see them the next morning before she head out to the waiting cab which took her to the hotel that she was staying in. In the hotel, she freshened up a bit, changing her shirt and re-doing her hair and adding a little makeup for the evening before she head out to the club to join Nick. Arriving at the club, she greeted a couple people as she entered. A couple of them recognized her from the night before. Heading straight into the back, she did her customary knock on his dressing room door before entering and closing the door behind her.
 
April knew their father should be told, and there was nothing stopping Faith from calling him. Whether he accepted the marriage or not. It's was Faith's choice of who she married. It was her life and not her father's or anyone else. April said Faith should call their dad and talk with him. If he was okay with everything. He could catch a flight to Nashville for the wedding. It wasn't like being in California was on the other side the planet. He could be in Nashville within 24 hours or so. Like with when the wedding happened. Faith was to decide if she called her father. She had plenty of time, and people didn't have to wait to get married like they once did. Faith & Nick could tie the knot later this week and be man and wife, before Faith hit the road again. Being married would give them a good reason for seeing more of each other.

Nick was sitting at his dressing table. He was checking the sound on his guitar when the knock came. The door then open and Faith stepped inside, closing the door behind her. Seeing Faith brought a smile to Nick's face. He stood up, placing his guitar down. He then moved towards the door, taking Faith into his arms. " How did recording go?......Did you tell Doug and April about us? " Nick asked while holding Faith's body against his. He also wanted to know how Faith's brother & sister took the news of her marrying Nick? It was something which Nick had been thinking of all day. That and getting married to Faith. Part of him had the same thought as April. Getting married this week, but Nick didn't want Faith to feel any pressure. Nick did had a surprise he bought for her. Something to make their plans more legitimate.
 
Out of everyone who she wanted to tell, telling their father made her the most nervous. Even though she was all grown up, Faith was still a daddies girl and his approval meant a lot to her. Of course, even if he disapproved, she would still go ahead and marry Nick. It would just be nice to know he supported her in her partner choice. She would talk with Nick some more on their plans before she gave her father a call and talked to him. Aprils idea about getting married that week did give her a rush of excitement and she felt giddy at the idea. Pushing the thoughts aside for now, Faith smiled as she knocked on the door to Nick's dressing room and entered, smiling at the man when he looked up.

She watched him put his guitar down while standing up and she moved over to him, happily moving into his arms and slipping her arms around his waist while he asked how recording went and if she'd told her brother and sister about them. "Recording went great. We have our country album done and we've begun on the disco one. If we keep things up at this pace, everything will be done sooner then we thought." she told him before nodding. "And yes, I've told Doug and April. April took it really well, while Doug seemed a little uncomfortable finding out his younger sister has been having sex." She said this with a soft chuckle. "And everyone seemed to take the announcement of us marrying fairly well. The only one who had anything to say was Doug." She explained that Doug decided to remind her of their age differences. But other then that he didn't have any kind of protests. "It didn't change my mind. I want to marry you, Nick Ford. I do." she said before pressing a soft kiss against his lips.
 
Nick hadn't given any thought to Faith's father. They were good and long time friends. However, Nick's mind had been on other things. After Faith had left him that morning. He'd thought about them marrying while she was still in Nashville. Since Nick was okay with her keeping her lovers and having new ones. Nick didn't see any reason why they couldn't get married. He still thought, Faith would get an extra thrill from being married and fucking her lovers. It may make her encounters even more exciting for her. Nick wanted Faith to be happy. If being married added to her fun, then he thought they should do it. But, he didn't want her to feel any pressure. He wanted Faith to be as ready for marriage as he was. Nick smiled when Faith said recording had gone well. Better then anyone could have expected. Faith said they finished their album of songs from their normal playlist. Plus, they got their country album done and started on their disco album. Nick hadn't seem Rewind play before. They would be playing at a club which featured country music. Nick was looking forward to see that show. He also would like to hear them play some of their other music. And maybe he would at some point in the future.

Nick was relieved that everyone accepted their upcoming marriage. He wasn't surprised when Faith spoke of Doug and his comment about age. This made Nick laugh. He knew Doug was always such a worry wort. " There is snow on my roof.......But you get my fire burning hot. " Nick spoke before they kissed. The kissed lasted for a few minutes. Nick then broke the kiss, reached into his pocket and dropped to one knee. " I thought we should make this legitimate. " Nick spoke while holding up a ring box. " Faith Walker........Will you marry me? " Nick asked as he opened the box, showing Faith the Ring he bought for her. He smiled after seeing her reaction. This ring would make them engaged. The next step was getting married.
 
Faith wasn't bothered by her brothers worrisome comment and she didn't let her brother bother her. Nick made her happy. Very happy, and she didn't want anything to ruin this for her. When Nick spoke of there being snow on his roof but she got his fire burning hot, she chuckled softly before they began to kiss each other. She leaned into him a little while they kissed before he broke the kiss and he reached into his pocket while dropping to one knee. A surprised look formed on her face. While she knew that they'd talked about this, she hadn't been expecting him to propose with an actual ring so soon. He spoke about them making it legitimate and he held up a ring box. A soft sound escaped her and she smiled brightly before nodding. "Of course I will." she said.

She leaned down and kissed him softly before holding out her hand so he could put the ring upon her finger. After it was resting around her finger, Faith smiled brightly at him after he got to his feet again. "I know that we had spoken about it, but I wasn't expecting a ring so soon. It's beautiful." she told him honestly. "You've made me so happy Nick." She placed both her hands upon his cheeks and gazed lovingly up at him before wrapping her arms around him in a hug. She thought that the ring was beautiful. It wasn't flashy and showy like a lot of girls liked. Instead, it was a simple golden band with a row of diamonds on either side of the center diamond.
 
Nick knew what Faith would say, but enjoyed hearing her accept his offer of marriage. The ring made everything more real. It was no longer just talk. They would be married. It was now just a matter of when the wedding would happen. In Nick's mind, and in April's. The wedding should happen sooner, rather then later. They didn't need anything big. A small, private wedding would do. At least for Nick. Though, he was sure Faith didn't want anything huge. She could have whatever she wanted. However, Nick was pretty sure Faith would go for something small. Just her family and friends. They could be hitched before the end of the week. This thought still ran through Nick's mind. He placed the ring onto Faith's finger, then stood. They hugged and kissed, sealing their bond.

Nick & Faith shared a long, deep kiss. Their arms wrapped tightly around the others body. After a few moments, the kiss broke and they lovingly stared into each others eyes. " You know......I had a crazy idea after you left this morning......I was sitting on the bed and I thought we should get married sometime this week........Before you head back out on the road. " Nick spoke as his eyes smiled down on Faith. " I know how sudden it would be.....But why wait for months of even another year?......Nothing is going to change between us.......I really want you to be my wife.....I don't see any reason to wait any longer. " Nick added, he then waited for Faith to speak. April had suggested the same thing. The choice was now Faith's to make.
 
Faith loved having the ring upon her finger. It made things real and official between them. With him on his feet again, the newly engaged couple embraced each other and kissed happily. Once the deep, kiss was ended, they gazed happily at each other before Nick spoke up about how he'd had a crazy thought that morning after she'd left. "Oh? And what was that?" she asked him before he told her that he thought that they should get married that week. Hearing this made her eyebrows raise while she looked at him. "You know, that's the second time I've had that suggested to me today." she said with a grin. "April had the same suggestion. She said she's excited to be my bridesmaid."

She leaned against Nick while she looked thoughtful about it. Nick did have a point. They both wanted to be married to each other and there was no real reason for them to not marry before she left again. Finally, after a bit she smiled and nodded. "Sure. Why not? I like the thought of leaving Nashville as Faith Ford." she told him with a grin. "However, I do have to call my dad about this. I want to be the one to tell him about us before he somehow learns from someone else. I think he deserves to learn directly from me."
 
Nick thought it was funny, how he and April had the same idea. It seemed they were on the same page with their thinking. Nick always thought April was a bright girl, even if she was shy around him. There was a long moment as Faith thought over the idea. For a small wedding. It wouldn't take long to bring it all together. Hell, they could be married on Thursday or Friday during the morning. Before Faith and her band played their first gig. Nick could pick up the wedding rings at the same place he bought the engagement ring. They didn't need anything special or fancy. Finally, Faith agreed to be married this week. She spoke of wanting to be Faith Ford before she left Nashville. This made Nick smile brightly. Faith then brought up her father. Nick was suddenly struck with the thought, he forgot about his oldest friend.

Faith said she wanted to tell her father. Nick understood, and he had been willing to call for her, but it was something she should do. " Your Dad loves you......If you want I can be there when you speak with him......Unless you'd rather do it alone? " Nick spoke. He knew how much Don Walker loved his family. They were his life now that their mother was gone. Nick said Faith should call her dad soon. If they were going to get married this week. He should have time to travel if he wanted to attend. Nick wasn't sure how Don would take the news. He did hope his old friend would understand how much Nick & Faith loved each other.
 
Faith had a moment the night before where she had briefly thought about them getting married that week, but she hadn't thought he'd want to get married so quickly. So for it to be suggested to her by both Nick and April had been a bit surprising and she decided to say yes. It was quick and sudden, but Faith wanted this. She wanted to be Nicks wife. Anytime she had thought about it in the past, the thoughts of being married to the man standing before her, had always left her with a smile upon her face. Now the very thing she'd dreamt about in the past was actually going to come true. At the mention of her father, Faith could tell by Nicks facial expression that he'd forgotten about Don Walker and she chuckled.

She knew that Nick was willing to make the phone call for her, but she wanted to be the one to do it. "I think I'd like it if you were there for that conversation. He may want to talk to you anyways." she told him. "Tomorrow. I'll call him tomorrow morning before I leave for the studio. We already have plans for tonight, otherwise, I'd say I'd call him tonight after we get back to the hotel room." She began to talk a little slower while she smiled at him, remembering that he wanted her to seduce a woman and get her to agree to the two women putting on a bit of a show for Nick.
 
Nick nodded when Faith said she would call her father in the morning. He would be there to support her. Part of Nick was a little worried how Don would take the news. But, he knew how much Don loved Faith. Don was a good man who just wanted what was best for his family. Even if Don wasn't happy about the wedding. Nick didn't think he would stand in their way. There was nothing Don could do or say to stop Faith. She wanted this, just as much as Nick wanted it. The two loved each other, and they would be married before the weekend was even here. Nick could get a place for their ceremony and for a small reception afterwards. He assumed Faith's band, Doug and maybe Don would be the only guests. Faith could invite anyone she wanted. If she had anyone in mind who wasn't already in Nashville.

Nick hadn't forgotten about his request. However, it had been pushed to the back of his mind. Faith brought up his want to see her and another woman together. Nick smiled when she spoke of making it happen tonight. When it happened, had always been Faith's choice. She would also being picking the girl out. Nick said there was normally a handful of single girls who came to the club. They could be found playing pool, darts or the pinball machines. Many of the girls came to hookup for the evening and have some fun. He said it should be easy for Faith to pick up something she liked. A short time later, a knock came at the door. A voice telling Nick it was almost show time. Nick gave Faith a smile while wishing her good luck in her search for a hot one. He then gave her a long, deep kiss before they parted. Faith wouldn't have to look very hard. A hot looking number came into the club while Nick & Faith were busy in his dressing room. She ordered herself a bottle of beer, then began to play one of the pinball machines. She was slightly bent over while working the paddles.
