Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Candi)

"Sure," she said with a smile. She took a sip of her coffee and felt herself rehydrate. "I'm sure there are a few around." Claire wondered if he wanted to go out as they were. She knew he was going commando, and now, she was without bra or panties. What kind of a dinner would that be, she wondered.

Chris listened intently to her words and took a few sips of his coffee, the liquid helping to appease his partly parched throat. Eyes glancing around as he spoke. "We can change before we go out. Your choice for food tonight."

She smiled and chuckled. "Why don't we go back to the room and I'll use the phone booth to look for a diner in the area?" she asked, sipping at her coffee.

Chris took a few sips of his coffee and smiled into her eyes, standing up slowly he kissed her cheek and spoke softly. "Sounds good, I am just going to grab my overnight bag and some fresh clothes."

Claire nodded as she finished her coffee and threw her cup away. "I'll just freshen up, a bit," she said, reaching into his pocket and taking her bra back. That said, She smiled and winked before heading toward the room to grab her panties and make herself a bit more presentable.

Chris chuckled as she took her bra back, casually walking towards his car and taking the small overnight bag with him. Heading to their room he entered and took out a fresh shirt, jeans and boxers. Throwing the ones he had worn into the small compartment of it. Intentions of washing them when they got there were on his mind as he whistled softly.

Claire came out of the bathroom wearing all of the clothes she'd been wearing when she showed up at work. Her hair was combed and up, and her make up got a touch up. Beyond that, she smelled good, but she was basically the same woman who'd come in to work that morning. "I'm ready when you are," she said, coming out of the bathroom.

Chris fan a couple of fingers through his hair and used some man spray on himself, hearing her words he turned and smiled into her eyes before speaking. "I am ready to go as well."

She smiled and kissed his lips softly. "Alright. Let me just grab my purse and we can start."

"Well, thank you," she said with a little smile. She took her ID, cellphone, and a few spare dollars in a small bag with her, just in case, along with a brush for her hair, in case of wind. Claire took his arm, delighted with the offering and walked out of the room with him, and out of the hotel.

Chris smiled as they walked out of the hotel, his feet guiding them right this time and down the street. His eyes scanning both sides of it before spotting the small diner. Crossing towards the other side of the street he opened the door for her. "After you sweetie."

Claire grinned at his show of chivalry, walking through the door with a polite, "Thank you." She smiled and kissed his lips softly once he was with her and they found a nice booth to sit in.

Chris followed behind her and returned the soft kiss to her lips, his eyes sparkling a little as they made contact with hers. Taking a look at the menu he decided on the salad combination.

Claire decided on the soup bowl with bread. When the waiter came, she gave her order and smiled at Chris's. His eyes sparkled, and she was thrilled to see him so happy. It was the most at ease she'd seen him in quite some time.

"This is a nice place," she said, mirroring his actions. "I'm glad you thought to walk. It's nice to get out and do that."

Chris smiled at her words and sneaked one of his hands underneath the table to lightly touch her leg, gently squeezing it as he spoke. "Yes beautiful company makes the walk even better."

Claire smiled and watched his face. "Well, company as handsome as yours should have beauty to accompany it."

Chris felt his cheeks heating up, his eyes moving from hers as the waiter returned with their food. Squeezing her leg and sliding his hand higher his words whispered. "Claire love you so much."

Claire smiled and thanked the waiter before turning her attention to Chris again, his hand moving up. "I love you too," she said softly. She took her slice of warm bread and started nibbling at it, not looking away from him.

Claire smiled through her soup and bread and then pushed the lot to the side of the table, feeling satisfied.
