Another whine puffed up his chest as his ears were uncovered; but mostly it was because their warm moment, as well as that warm body, seemed to be so cruelly torn away from him. The pout he landed up on his redhead as he fixed himself wasn't the usual bubbly look he tended to offer. It was a bit pathetic; he was more sad than angry at the damned noise maker. "I didn't set a timer," he huffed as that hand was offered to him.
How weird. He thought as much after it happened but the simple little offer brought a little smile back to his face. "Hang on," he chuckled as he squinted out the awkward thought while taking the help up. "Shouldn't that have just been the other way around?" Despite saying as much, they'd both been rocks for each other just now. It was a small, simply tease toward the thought that he was supposed to be the one supporting Shuichi. But he did know it wasn't actually like that.
He took the lead as he stood and used the hold to pull himself in close to the redhead. A smirk crossed his lips again, able to think now that the timer had stopped ringing. "Hey~" he purred heatedly. Finishing that lean he drifted toward Kurama's face. And he placed a quick peck on his nose and huffed a hurried "Race ya!"
The kitchen was like two feet away or something so it wasn't much of a race at all. Although he did have a small hop in his step as he made his way in there. And he was quick to check the oven before tugging out the cucumbers he'd pulled aside, dissected them, and tossed them into the pan sitting atop the stove. Butter and seasoning was added; salt and some lemon pepper.
Braised cucumbers would be the veggie that made their balanced meal. And he was sure to balance it. Because despite wanting to keep that moment from before he remembered quite clearly how good it would be for his boyfriend's recovery. As the pan warmed he turned to shine a silly smile on his foxy human.
