The Seventh Star is Eden (Skeith Takahata II & MessedUpRp)

While some of the commanders seemed adverse to the idea but two seemed very willing. Ceres' aunt and the Sartan nodded slowly. "Yes Ceres. That can be done for you. I will arrange a ship for you." Some of the other commanders blustered. "Wait wait wait... We can't just give her a ship and let her gal avant around the universe."

Ceres stood up straight as some spoke against her. She gave an apologetic glance to the Sartan commander before speaking clearly. "I'm effectively asking permission to be a permanent and mobile spy and assassination outfit. I know the Eden command structure, language, technology, and method of operation better than anyone here. In case it's been forgotten, my father was an Eden Sargent. As a Spellva Void Sage, darkness is my ally. Give me freedom to explore the void and I can turn that power on our enemies with ease. For starters, I'm promising the gathering of the missing Void Sages and presently unspeakable Eden technology. If it's hard to see how either would benefit us, than perhaps it's time to shake up our own command structure." Her words were bold, possibly too bold. But she wasn't one to act sheepish before others.

The others watched her with surprise at her brashness while the Spartan seemed utterly annoyed at the whole thing. "Your ship is awaiting you outside. There is a mechanic ready to guide you through it's capabilities." He gave her a look telling her to leave the room before someone else stopped her.

Ceres gave him a nod, turning to leave. "Thank you for your time, commanders." She strode out just as confidently, looking about the base as she approached the airfield. "You hear that, Ariel? We're one step closer to your body." She said quietly, a smile on her face. It felt good to be doing something for her friend. Even if Ariel didn't feel the same way. She came to a halt in the airfield looking around for the ship in question.

Thinking she had the right idea she approached. "Excuse me? I'm Ceres Karn. I'm supposed to depart with one of these vessels."

The field master looked fownnat his electronic clipboard and scrolled through names. Repeating her name.under his breath as he searched before finally smiling and nodding.."yes... The black ship over on the other end of the field. You should find it accomadsring to you and your digital friend."

"Many thanks." Ceres said with a smile, patting him on the shoulder. She started her trip down the line, examining each of the vessels as she approached the black one in question, her lips spread into a wider smile. The idea of embarking on an adventure with her own ship, with her best friend at her side was extremely exciting.

She paused in front of it looking around for the mechanic she was told about. "Excuse me? I'm Ceres Karn. The commanders told me to meet someone here about a ship."

from the hull of the ship a plum.of smoke shot our from an open panel and a coughing figure stumbled out. It's hair was short and seemed to go in odd angles to one side. It was only in a white shirt and blue pants with a tool belt around it's waist. As it stumbled from the ship, the person took of it's goggles. The only part of their skin not covered in soot. "Oh um... Here I am... That uh... That was supposed to happen, buildup of smoke from.bad maintenance before but it should be fine now."

Ceres recoiled when the plume of smoke escaped. She watched nervously as the figure came free of the ship, announcing themselves. "So, all's well then?" She asked looking up at the vessel. She was a little nervous about how well it would fly, but she was sure the commanders wouldn't intentionally give her a junker. She raised her hand to touch the hull with a faint smile. "So, what can you tell me about her? Specifications? Capabilities? Crew size?" She looked back at the mechanic, looking them over for a second. "Right now it's just me and my A.I. companion. But if it needs a larger crew, I can recruit a couple people."

The woman bit her lip and shook her hand from side to side. "More or less, the ship's total capacity isn't very large as it's main capability is speed and agility but it does have a small-osh cargo hold and about ten seats aside from the two consoles for pilots." She nodded to the ship again, "It has standard issue ion rifles for in atmosphere and out of atmosphere combat, however those can be rrpwlcrd with other weapons of your choice to suit whatever you may need. About six black-cat missiles as well as two mini-nukes should it come to such dire needs. The ship has built in camoflauge capabilities but they can be compromised and they aren't something to rely on too heavily."

Ceres looked up at the vessel when she seemed a little uncertain about the ship. "More more or more less? Like... It's not going to die on me out there is it?" She walked closer to it, her hand reaching up to touch the hull again. "How often should I bring it back in for maintenance?" She folded her arms turning her attention back to the woman. There was a part of her that was eager to be out and on an adventure, but she wanted to make sure the ship wouldn't get her killed to.

The woman beamed, "you won't need to worry about that. I've included something of my own design... A self-repairing adaption. It should be able to fix itself if it is damaged. As for life, this girl has been through three wars and made it out okay. It may look bad but it can handle most.anything you can throw at it."

Ceres turned back to the ship after the woman explained the upgrade she'd made. "So you taught the old bird new tricks?" She smiled, once more confident in the vessel. "I'll make sure she makes it through a fourth." She turned to face the woman again. "Anything you need me to sign or do before I take to the skies?" She asked, returning to the more official information.

The woman looked back from the ship to Ceres. "No nothing that I can think of that we might need to do. She should be ready to go, just let me cover up this and you can be on your way." She returned to the taking hole and began covering it with various sheets of metal.

"Fantastic. Thanks for all your hard work getting her flight ready. I'm going to make myself at home. Just let me know when she's ready." She walked around, opening the entrance before climbing inside. She flicked a heavy switch, hearing the lights kicking on inside. "So, Ariel. What did I do this time? How long are you going to be angry with me? I know you can hear me." She slid into the cockpit seat, prepping the switches. "If this is about your body, you can't talk me out of it."

The lights switched off with a thunk as the switch fell back, Ariel's glowing body form apparatinf in the other pilot seat. "I know... But I don't want you possibly getting yourself hurt over something so menial. I could never forgive myself if something happens to you." She looked down and sighed, the lights a thunking back on. "But you're too damn belligerent."

"Excuse me?" Ceres looked over at Ariel in disbelief. "I'm belligerent?" She crossed her arms, crooking her eyebrow. "I have never once treated you that way. I'm stubborn but not hostile. You, on the other hand, give me the cold shoulder and go literally red in the face when you yell at me whenever you disagree with me." She slumped back into the seat, rubbing her brow as she sighed. "You've been belligerent."

She began flicking on different systems to check the ship's preparedness for their journey. "These are the kind of things friends do for each other, Ariel. Taking risks for each other, helping each other, caring for each other. You're my friend. In fact, you're my only friend. Your happiness isn't menial to me. It means everything to me."

Ariel's eyes flicked down and her body turned a light blue. She out a digital hand on Ceres' arm and looked hr in the eyes. "Yes... Friends keep each other from getting hurt because of them. I know I can't stop you, but I don't want to let you get hurt because of this... I wouldn't be able to forgive myself."

"I appreciate your concern. But you know that you can't talk me out of this. Ignoring me and getting angry isn't going to change that. I'm going to find your body. The best way to keep me from getting hurt now is to help me however you can." She waited til she received an all clear before beginning launch preparations. "For starters, let's track the source of that document you found. We'll start investigation there."

She paused, stopping the take off. "The old girl doesn't have a name yet. It's bad luck for a ship to fly without a name. Any suggestions?" She asked, looking back at her friend.

Ariel thought for a second before smiling deviously, "How about... Ceres is a stubborn bitch." She said and grinned at her human friend, the playfullness of it on her face. "I don't know, name it whatever you want. You are the captain after all, as there is nobody to be the crew."

She slumped back in the seat in thought for a moment. A sad smile came over her face as she decided. "Corta." She said simply. Looking over at Ariel, her sad smile spreading a little further. "Her name is Corta." She took a hold of the controls again, beginning launch procedures. The vessel slowly lifted into the air before rocketing skyward. "So, any luck on the origin of that file?" She asked, looking over at Ariel. "Otherwise, we stick to the void lines and look for the missing Void Sages. My grandfather said they're still out there. They can help me finish my training." She brought a hand up to grip her mother's necklace. "Then maybe I can figure out what this is for..."

Ariel shook her head degectedly. "No... Nothing yet, there's heavy incription in the file and I'm afraid they may have included some kind of virus. The void mages are probably our best bet for now." She stated frankly, "There may be possible dwarf planets worth examining. Several could possibly sustain a void mage."

Ceres gave a small nod. "So, we'll work on the missing void sages while we break down the defenses on the file." She brought up a map of the nearby systems. "I know you're not Spellva, so you aren't sensitive to the void lines." She brought up a Spellva travel map, which outlined the void patterns. "They would likely be hiding where the void gathers at its densest. They're safest and most powerful there." Considering Ariel's advice about Dwarf planets, she began single out the ones nearest to the void points. "Seems like as good of a place to start as any." She locked in the destination before leaning back in the seat.

Ariel rubbed her chin and looked over at Ceres, "No... If I were a void mage, hiding from the Eden Empire, I wouldn't hide in the void sensitive areas. That's the first place the Empire would search. No we need to search somewhere devoid of Void attunement. I think I know just the place."

Ariel remotely set coordinates for a frozen dwarf planet. "I hope you packed cold-weather gear... There's a rather large city on this planet, we'll start there."

Ceres nodded at Ariel's advice. "That makes sense to me." She brought her hand up to rub her eyes. "My powers will be all but useless there." She informed. "Good thing I know how to fight without them." She pushed herself up from the seat, walking over to the various storage lockers on board. Pulling out environment protection equipment. "People there are going to be suspicious of me. I look mostly human. Finding a spellva who is intentionally avoiding humans will be tricky."

Ariel shrugged. "The data banks denote that this planet is a criminal hideout. Pirates, mercenaries and thieves inhabit this place. You might be able to fit in, especially in this ship." Ariel smiled around her as she prepared the land, "I do want you to be careful Ceres... This place is dangerous, even more so now that toy won't be attuned to the void."
