Desperate Times, Closer Bonds (PatientOne & Celeana)

Alex looked at her like she was crazy that he had to stay on the couch and not move at all.
"You're asking me to become a couch potato? Really? I'm not wired that way. I'll be getting up but I won't take the dog out okay. I won't push myself to pain but I need to be up and doing something hun, you know that."
He said as he smiled at her and pulled her down, giving her a kiss on her forehead.

"Now go to school and enjoy your day. You don't need to come back here for lunch sweetie. That's a waste of gas. Just enjoy your day and I'll see you when you get home."
He said as he smiled and gave her butt a little slap, which was a bad decision as he'd really wanted to grab her ass.
"Go on. Go get that education."
He said as he smiled.
 
She bit her bottom lip but then nodded. "Okay..." she said, her voice soft before she kissed each of his cheeks and then grabbed her keys and purse. "i'll be back home as soon as I can...no pit stops...Love you..." she paused again at the door then took a deep breath before turning and leaving though it killed her with every step she took. She didn't like him being home alone and helpless. The drive to school was even worse but she just had to remind herself that he was okay and would be until she got home. When lunch came, she just holed herself up in the library and studied, trying to stay focused and when the final bell rang, she was the first one out the door, not even stopping at her locker as she sprinted out to her car. Before she could make it there, however, one of her classmates was calling her.

Turning, she saw Jake Edwards approaching her. He was handsome enough, she guessed, but he had a reputation for being the sort to date a girl and drop her. "J-Jake..." she said, gripping her books close to her chest. "What's up?"

"Hey...Anna...Um...Listen...I'm really in desperate need of some help with my Trig. It's a bitch to get through and since you're essentially acing it, would you mind helping me out?"

"Well I...I have to be getting home but if you really need a study partner, I..." she pondered for a moment then cleared her throat. "I'll give you my address. You'll have to come over for studying because my brother's pretty much home bound for a few weeks....tomorrow?"

He smiled, charmingly and then nodded. "Perfect. Thanks Anna, you're a life saver...."

She smiled and then turned, walking to the car. "I'll message you," she promised then slipped into the driver's seat of her car, unloading her arms before heading home.
 
Alex sat at home for most of the day and just hobbled around cleaning up his home and since Anna was doing so much for him he used that time to make her favorite dinner. He hadn't made it for her in a while and it took a lot of cooking time on low heat. However he knew she'd smell it the moment she walked through the door. Taking a shower after he cleaned up he sighed as his shower was a pain in the ass. Hearing Harmonia whining about having to go potty he looked at the clock. He had time. He only stayed on the porch and let her run around without a leash.

When she did her business he bribed the dog back up the steps with a treat before walking her inside. Giving her the treat he smiled.
"Don't tell Anna."
He said as he chuckled and went back to the couch to wait for his sister to get home. He'd finished reading his book and decided to use some of his parents savings to start small, cheap courses on line for college since he would have some serious down time.

He wanted a bachelors in business and marketing so that he could start his own business but he only had an associates. Both he and Anna were good with numbers so that helped a lot.
 
As she pulled into the apartment complex, she sighed happily, glad to be home and then grabbed her books, having two nights worth of homework to accomplish thanks to yesterday's leaving early. Stepping into the apartment, her nose was immediately hit with the scent of soup and she turned toward the stove, seeing a stock pot. "Mmm...Someone's been busy...though I do believe Mr. Multiple Injuries, that you were supposed to stay on the couch," she said then looked down as Harmonia came up to her for her petting and scratches. Setting her things down on the table, Anna quickly scooped up her pup then walked into the living room area, glancing at him with a raised brow, seeing him on his laptop. "Whatcha doin'?" she asked curiously. "And I'm noticing quite a lack of puppy droppings on the pads...you didn't go outside and walk her around again did you?" she asked, raising a brow at him, eyeing him suspiciously all while Harmonia licked and nibbled at her chin for attention.
 
Alex looked up from his laptop and turned the screen showing her some of the college courses that he'd signed up for.
"Figured I'd get some schooling done since I'm going to be sitting on my ass a lot. And no. I stood at the door and she walked down the stairs. I used food to bribe her back up the stairs."
He said as he smiled at her and mentally pat himself on the back for finding a loop hole in her little directions.
"Besides, you usually cook dinner for me, so this is just returning the favor. Once you see what it is you won't be mad."
He said as he set his laptop down and stood up slowly. Resting his hand on her hip as he kissed her forehead.

"Did you have a good day though? You don't look as tired as you normally do."
He said as he decided to give the pup attention since her attention was on scolding him.
