Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

Tachi was with Mitsunari in his room, tending to one wound in particular that was struggling to close. Cleaning the wound on his upper back, Tachi gently applied ointment to the deep gouge. "You should be resting. If this festers anymore, it could affect the muscles in your shoulder." He said, scowling softly.

"I'll be fine.." He answered, but it wasn't with any annoyance or gruffness like he would if he were talking to the soldiers, "You worry too much."

"And you worry too little." He said, and though it came out aggravated, it was clear to Mitsunari his blade was only worried. "I've done all I can for right now, but I'll send word to the healer for a stronger remedy." He spoke gently as he wrapped the wound, so it wouldn't rub or dirty.

"And you can't do that if you're dead." He stood and moved to kneel in front of Mitsunari, cupping his cheek gently. "I can do more than just kill for you."

Tachi rested his forehead against Mitsunari's closing his eyes and gently squeezing his scarred hand. "And I never will." He whispered, leaning in and kissing him softly, gently. It was loving and firm, warm.

Mitsunari kissed back, his hand moving to rest on the back of Tachi's neck. They were interrupted, however, when a knock came to the door. "Ishida?" Oh good, it was Akihime.

Tachi pulled away from Mitsunari, letting out an irritated sigh before standing and moving to the door. "Can I help you with anything?" He still refused to call anyone but Mitsunari his lord.

"I just came to see how dealing with the Sanada boy went." Akihime said, stepping in as she gave Tachi a heated look of distaste, "You will speak when spoken to, sparrow."
"Leave them be." Mitsunari said, standing to put back on his armor.

((Edit: i fUCKED BUT I FIXED IT))

Tachi gnashed his teeth and glared at Akihime as she passed, but said nothing lest he be broken again. He clenched his fists before moving over to the small medical kit he kept, putting away the gauze and ointment he had been treating Mitsunari with.

"The boy didn't beat you up, did he, Ishida?" She asked snidely. Mitsunari didn't make a noise of anger or glare, like he would have were she not his ruler. He merely shook his head and he redressed his upper body.
"It was a previous injury that reopened. Tachi was caring for it."
"How sweet of him~"
"Them." Mitsunari corrected firmly. Akihime's expression dropped.
"What?"
"Tachi does not use male pronouns. Please refer to them with neutral terms." He requested firmly. Ruler or not, he would stand up for Tachi to Akihime.

Tachi paused for a moment, a soft smile on his lips as he continued packing away his supplies and putting them away where they belonged, in a drawer.

"How about I just call him a giant chicken?" Akihime glared at Tachi and Mitsunari gave a noise of disapproval.
"Do not do that." He said. Akihime waved her hand.
"How did the boy go?"
"It will take time, but he may break soon." Mitsunari answered.

"It's going to take time." Tachi hissed over his shoulder, his feathers a bit ruffled at the "chicken" comment. "And you being here complaining doesn't help." He said lowly.

Akihime turned to him, eyes dilled with hatred. She moved over and played with the feathers that stuck out from under Tachi's yukata.
"How lovely...I've never seen such beautiful fearhers." She said. Tachi could feel Mitsunari's tension return in an instant. And in that same instant, Akihime ripped out the feathers she was playing with. Mitsunari's body went rigid with his rage.

Tachi hissed in pain and backed away from Akihime, holding the bleeding spot where his feathers had been plucked. He narrowed his eyes at her and gnashed his teeth, glaring hatred back at her. His silver feathers shimmered in her hand as she played with them, truly beautiful feathers.

"They truly are lovely." She said with fake wonder before letting them drop to the floor and she headed out, "Keep your bird in line, Ishida." She hissed before she slammed the door. Mitsunari moved over to him and knelt before him.
"Are you alright? Let me see..." He said gently

He sank to his knees to let his master see the wound. It was small, but getting his feathers plucked hurt as bad as getting skin removed. They looked like two needle marks, but the bleeding was already subsiding. "I'm alright, it just startled me."

"It's not so bad, thankfully. They'll grow back a little odd, however." He was still shaking, his voice strained. It was difficult trying to control his rage even now.

He shook his head, only angry Akihime had demeaned Mitsunari. "It doesn't matter." He said and pulled Mitsunari forward, kissing him gently once more. He was sure to be slow, to keep his masters mind focused on anything but the rage that tried to consume him. He held Mitsunari's hand firmly, other hand nestled on the side of his neck below his jawline. Soon he felt Mitsunari relax, and once he had calmed down enough, he pulled away, but only enough so their lips were barely touching. "Nothing she can do to me will make me leave you."

"She would have to kill me to take me from you." He said, his voice a low rumble, "And even then it would be difficult, because I forbade myself from dying."

He kissed him once more, this time a bit softer. "And she'd need to break me again before I'd let her kill you." He laced his slender fingers with Mitsunari's, resting his forehead against his.

"She's a selfish brat, always has been. Just ignore her." He said before he started kissing gently along Tachi's jawline, "I won't let her touch you again."
