Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

It was dead silent for a long while, maybe whatever it was went on its way? There wasn't any real way to be sure, the bushes and other foliage were really thick.

Frowning heavily, Nana left the waters safety and gathered up her clothing. Quickly pulling on her juban, which was the driest, she slipped on her sandals and left quickly down the path.

As she walked down the path, hands covered her mouth and grabbed her arms, holding her still as her hands were tied behind her back. It was a bunch of older men from the village nearby, and they had branches and clubs. "So, ya like bein' with ogres? Think they're just swell?" "You gonna use him to raid our homes and kill us?"

Nana dropped her things when she was grabbed, clothes crumpling to the ground and a hidden dagger fell out of the folded clothing. She struggled against them, but they out numbered her greatly. She managed to break free of the hand that covered her mouth. "No! You're wrong! Motochika isn't bad, he hasn't hurt anyone!"

"Motochika is planning something. Tryin' to gain our trust so he can eat us." One said, "So maybe we can use you to ward him off." "Show him we ain't to be messed with."

Nana felt a cold shiver go down her spine and she shook her head violently. "Please, I can assure you he isn't planning anything! Motochika is kind!"

With her hands tied behind her back, Nana was defenseless, unable to shield herself from their attacks. Each blow to her body hurt, but everything would've been fine had hey not struck her in the head and face as well. With each blow to the head her vision became a bit more fuzzy, her hearing fading out like she had been submerged in water, until finally she no longer spasmed when hit.

"Let's show her just how much more satisfying a human is compared to a smelly beast." They grinned down at her cruelly before gagging her and undressing her.

Though barely conscious, Nana tried to squirm as her robe was untied and opened. Her eyes were swollen shut, and she barely made a noise, it was almost as if she wasn't actually aware of what was happening.

When Motochika awoke, Nana was gone, which he was fine with; she probably went out to find more food. But she had been gone for hours and he grew worried. He climbed down the mountain and moved carefully through the woods, calling out to her.

The forest was teeming with the usual wildlife, birds chirping and the occasional deer grazing in the thick grass. The sun was up in the sky, which made the river glitter like gems; something else glittered in the sunlight, further in the woods a small amount of light reflected off of something in the grass. Then his eyes were pulled toward the scattered clothing on the ground, and peeking out just from under the trees a set of bare legs.

His eyes widened and he moved over, "Nana? Nana!" He picked her clothing off the ground before moving to the body. It was indeed Nana and his hesrt jumped into his throat. She was covered in bruises and seed, making him go from startled to furious. He carefully cleaned her, covering her and apologising repeatedly for not going with her. He would worry about rewashing her clothes later, carefully cutting her bindings and carrying her back.

Nana was as limp as a doll in Motochika's hand, but when he picked her up, he could hear a faint moan of pain; she was still alive.

"Don't worry, Nana, you'll be ok." He told her gently as he climbed up the mountain. He filled his sake cup with warm water and gently washed her in fase he missed anything and to get the dirt off her. He dried her off carefully and dressed her before laying her in his bed and waiting. He was still so angry.

Nana would sleepfor the remainder of the day, stirring late in the night. One eyes swelling had gone down enough that she could partially open it, trying to sit up. "Motochika..?" She had a soft list from her split lip, but other than that she sounded pretty coherent.

He jumped slightly and looked over from making the medicine for her bruising and swelling, "Nana...!" He moved over and crouched beside her, "How do you feel...?" He asked gently.

It took her a moment to register what he was saying, swaying a bit before she was able to steady herself. "Not good.." Her head ached and felt like it had turned to stone, making it hard to think. "What happened..?" She struggled to say.

Nana blinked the one eye that could open, frowning softly. "Men from the village..." She gingerly touched her head, groaning in pain. "They ambushed me on the way back from the river... Said they'd show you that they weren't to be messed with." She said, then looked up at him with a hazy eye. "That's all I remember... They didn't come and attack you did they?"

He shook his head, "No, I came looking for you after I woke up. You were gone for hours. Here," he handed her the medicine and frowned, "I am so sorry this happened." His fists clenched tight, "A woman ought not be treated such a way."

Tears started to fall from Nana's eyes, trickling down her face. "I'm so reprieved they didn't come after you too.." She begain to trail off, tipping forward on the bed and dropping the medicine, unconscious once more.

"Nana!" He grabbed her gingerly and laid her back, changing the blanket with a new one and making new medicine. His fury could not be comtained. After making sure she was comfortable and laying a cold cloth gently over her swollen eyes, he left down the mountain quickly to deal with these bastards who harmed her.

When Nana woke once more, she had no idea how much time had passed; slowly sitting up, she looked around for Motochika. The swelling in her face had gone down quite a bit, but one eye was still rather swollen. Slowly crawling out of bed, Nana forced her aching body to move, she needed water. After patching her dry throat, she sat down to steady herself. "Motochika?" She called, expecting him to appear in the mouth of the cave, but found no such luck.

In fact, he didn't come back for a long time. Maybe he was fishing? No, his nets and spears were still here. Maybe hunting or gathering herbs? It was hard to say where he had gone.
