Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

His eyes narrowed a bit, and he glanced away. “Mitsunari is fine.” He said, then looked back at her from the corner of his eyes. “But.. You are aware that woman is not Amaya, yes?”

"What are you talking about? I have no time for such childish things, Tachi, if all you're going to do is trick me then I'm leaving." She said, clearly unamused.

“I do not trick people.” He said firmly. “If you wish to continue living in your pathetic lie, that is fine with me, but as a word of advice, maybe you should take a very close look at your Amaya.”

Her expression slowly bent from unamused to genuinely fearful before she hurried off. Of course she was Amaya, of course she was. Amaya would never lie to her. Never ever. She moved to Amaya's room and pushed the door open quickly. "Ama!" She called, but received no response. She began to shake, leaving and slamming the door. "Amaya!" She called out but nothing happened. Where was she? She always came when Akihime called.
"Kaa-san?" Okane peeked out of her room, wondering what the noise was. Akihime smiled brightly and moved to her daughter.
"Hello, my darling. Have you seen Ama around?"
"Who?" Okane looked confused and Akihime felt even more panicked.
"You know, your Godmother...!"
"Kaa-san..." Okane looked upset, "She died..."
"No!!" Akihime screamed and stormed away, Okane gripping her door tightly and crying softly in fear. Akihime looked through the whole castle, shaking in terror.
"Amaya, this isn't funny! You come out here right now!" She shouted.
She's dead, Akihime. Lady Motochika ripped out her heart in front of you. Don't you remember?
"N-No, no, shut up...! Shut up, she isn't dead! I saw her, I was with her!" Akihime covered her ears and shut her eyes tight, "She promised...!"
You aided in her death. She's dead and it's all your fault.
"Shut up!!" The ground shook violently as Akihime did her best to get rid of the mysterious person who haunted her with such lies.

No amount of screaming, begging, or bargaining would bring Amaya out of hiding, she simply refused to show her face. But why? She had been with her earlier in the garden, sat with her and held her hand, why was she hiding now?

Akihime was crying as she searched through all the housing until she got to one. Kojurou's. She forced the door open and looked inside, eyes scanning quickly before it spotted solid white. In bed. With Kojurou. He had his arms around her, and he was sitting up and staring at Akihime like she was mad. Akihime's eyes widened and she almost stopped breathing. "Get your filthy," her hand rose and pointed at Kojurou, "disgusting," her hand closed slowly and Kojurou gasped for air, gripping at his throat, "Date clan hands off of my Amaya!"

Jin had woken when she felt Kojurou tense, and heard Akihime screaming at Kojurou, sitting up and immediately knowing something was wrong. She looked to Kojurou, and when she saw he couldn’t breathe, looking to Akihime. “Please!” She jumped out of bed and rushed to Akihime, grabbing her arm to try and stop the magic she was preforming. “Stop, you’ll kill him!” She begged, golden eyes wide with fear.

"But he was touching you!" Akihime argued as Kojurou gasped and struggled, "I will not allow anyone to touch you, Am-!" She stopped when she looked and saw was not in fact Amaya; it was Jin. "Wh-What...?" Her voice was shaking and her hand dropped, Kojurou gasping loudly like he had resurfaced from a deep pool. "But...But I thought..." Was it really Jin this whole time? Was Jin using her? She stood stock still for the longest time, trying to register what was going on.

“Please understand... I did not mean to deceive you, Akihime-sama, but you would not see reason either.” Jin tried to bargain, a soft frown on her face. So this whole time, she just played along, making Akihime look like a fool?

"So all this time..." She muttered before she turned and walked out without another word. Kojurou moved over and checked Jin for any wounds, holding her tightly.
Akihime walked a near forgotten path to the very back of Osaka castle, down into an off shoot of the catacombs. It was a tiny little stone room she crafted herself with magic, beautiful art works of birds and flowers etched into the stone. All of Amaya's favorite things. In the middle of the room on a small stone slab in an enchanted glass case was Amaya.

“I’m fine, I’m fine..” Jin said, but she was shaking herself, looking up at Kojurou. “Can you breathe?” She asked.
Amaya looked just the way she had as the day she was put inside her glass coffin, face serene like she was merely sleeping. She would not wake again however, slain in revenge before Akihime’s very eyes. How could she have forgotten such a thing?

He nodded, "Yes, yes, it's just sore now, I'll be fine..." He answered.
Akihime gently touched the glass as she looked over her lost friend, dressed in an elegant silver dress and surrounded by shining flowers, some woven into her hair as well.
"How could I have let such a thing happen...?" She muttered, "How could I let your radiance escape me so easily...? Have I truly gone mad...? Am I so old now that I could lose someone so precious...? Oh, Amaya, please forgive me...please forgive what I have allowed to happen to you, all the pain and suffering I have put you through...you were the one thing in my life that was a constant; and I took you for granted, my sweet Amaya. I'm so sorry..."

Amaya would not respond, not now, and not ever again. One could hardly see the part on her throat where a chunk of flesh was torn out, hidden by both magic and her dress mostly. With both Amaya and Yukimura gone, the only thing Akihime truly had left was Okane and Sayuri, surely one day they would leave too.

Akihime sat there for a long time, soaking in the sight, burning it into her memory so she would never forget, before the sorrow in her eyes turned to uncontrollable rage. She stood and left the tomb without another word, sealing it up so no one could enter before she returned to her room.

Before the sun had risen, hit Jin and Kojurou were summoned to the throne room, concerning Jin quite a bit. The illusion had finally broken, of course Akihime was angry, but what was she going to do?

Kojurou, Jin, Mitsunari and Tachi all stood in wait for Akihime, the queen taking a good nit lf time to appear. When she did, she was dressed as elegantly as was expected, sitting on her throne and tapping her long pointed nails against the arm rests.
"Akihime-sama, is there trouble? Is that why we were called?" Mitsunari asked, bowing out of respect. Akihime's hollow, hateful eyes shot to Jin briefly before they moved to Mitsunari.
"I grow tired of your little courtship with the chicken there. You will take Jin as your new lover." She stated firmly. Kojurou nearly shot forward in a blinding fury.
"What is the meaning of this?! You can't just hand over my wife to another man!"
"Oh, I can. And I did." Akihime stated firmly.

Jin could hardly register what Akihime had said, staring slack jawed at Akihime before looking to Kojurou. “I refuse.” She looked to Akihime, brows furrowed. “I am pledged to my husband, you cannot nullify our marriage; and for what? We have done nothing wrong.” She said firmly.
Tachi was simply radiating hatred, hands in his sleeves as he glared at Akihime, but held his tongue.

"You can say no all you like, that doesn't mean I have to listen. Your things have already been moved to Mitsunari's room. You are his bride now." She stated. Mitsunari was shaking, staring wide eyed at Akihime before he looked to Tachi. He couldn't betray him like that, he couldn't.
"Akihime-sama, I beg you reconsider.." Mitsunari implored numbly. Akihime waved her hand as if to finalize her decision.
"This is nonnegotiable. My word is final." She stated.

Jin didn’t know what to say, there was nothing she could say that would change Akihime’s mind. Regardless, she would not lay with Mitsunari, she would not be his wife, for she still had a husband, and she was still loyal to him. She looked to Kojurou, eyes holding her concern, but she knew that for now she would have to play along, she had no choice lest she put Kojurou or Shigenaga in harms way. “Fine.” She said bitterly, it paining her to turn away from Kojurou and to walk to Mitsunari’s side, fists clenched so tightly her nails cut into her palms and her knuckles were white.

"Good. You may leave." Akihime stated. Mitsunari grabbed Tachi's hand tightly and pulled him away to a darkened corner, holding him and cupping his cheek.
"She can't make me leave you, I won't. I can't." He muttered desperately.

Tachi frowned softly, placing a hand over Mitsunari’s, leaning into his touch. “And neither will I.” He whispered back. “Mind nothing that woman says.” He said, kissing along Mitsunari’s knuckles. “I am yours.”

Mitsunari kissed him deeply, desperately, wanting nothing more than to assure both of them that Akihime would not tear them apart; nothing that spiteful bipolar witch said meant anything to him, that he would never find joy in anyone else's company but Tachi's. "I love you." He muttered against his lips, "Always will I love you."

Tachi was left panting softly, kissing him back, but soon pulled away. As of late, the two had been unable to get much time to themselves, leaving only time enough for heated kisses between guard rotations, and feverish touches when no one was around. “And as long as you will have me, I shall be yours.” He whispered back.

Tachi felt his manhood stir with his excitement, grasping Mitsunari’s shoulders and surrendering his neck to him, face flushed. They hardly had any time alone together anymore, and with Akihime always down his throat, he had quite a bit of pent up stress.
