Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

”No! She didn’t tell me you were getting a death sentence!” She turned her head to look at him, already trying to think of ways to escape with him.

”No, I’m not letting you die.” As carefully as she could, she let Masamune down, then climbed onto the cross with him, claws digging into the wood. She gripped the nail in her right hand with her teeth, pulling the nail out slowly.

He swallowed the wail of agony that shot through his body, the wound having closed over the iron, "Mego, stop...!"
"Megohime-dono...!" Kojurou came over quickly, looking panicked, "Get down from there right now...!"

Megohime ignored Kojurou and continued on. ”No! I won’t let you die, I’m getting you free, and then we’ll go far away from here, where no one can touch us!” With one last tug, she pulled out the first nail, letting the heavy iron nail fall to the ground before moving to the next one.

"Mego, don't, I'm not worth it...!"
"Megohime-dono, you promised...!" Both Kojurou and Masamune were almost begging at this point, knowing Akihime would catch wind any second.

”Shut up!” Megohime snarled through broken teeth, blood dripping down her muzzle from both her own teeth, and Masamune’s hand as she pulled out the other nail, immediately snapping at the chain next. She didn’t care if she left behind Kojurou or Jin, only Masamune mattered now, and she wouldn’t let him go. With one bite she shattered both the chain and many of her teeth, catching Masamune with a clawed foot before he fell.

"Megohime-dono." It was Akihime, and she looked less than happy with what she was seeing. Kojurou turned and reached for his blade but Akihime forced him away with magic.
"I suppose you really do not care for Date-sama as you claim. You have signed his death warrant." She stated before pointing her long nail at Masamune and shooting a bolt of lightning through his chest and heart.
"Masamune-sama!!" Kojurou's horrified cry echoed the courtyard as Masamune jerked and fell still, his eye wide and lifeless.

Megohime slowly sunk to the ground, laying Masamune down as carefully as she could. ”Hey... Stop that... Get up..!” She nudged him, trying to stir him, but when he didn’t move, she lost it. She saw red, roaring so loudly the ground shook as she whirled on Akihime, slamming her head straight into her chest and sending her flying. Akihime might’ve been powerful, but she was old, and Megohime was fast.

Akihime winced but corrected herself before she smacked into the wall. She manipulated the stone to wrap around Megohime's legs to keep her in place. 'You have no one but yourself to blame for his death. Another husband lost due to your foolishness."

Megohime was nearly frothing at the mouth, eyes glowing as she roared and screeched. She turned on herself, clawing at her trapped legs to get free.

Megohime still managed to claw her way to the bone before Akihime’s magic took affect and rendered her unconscious.

"Good grief." Akihime remarked before she turned her dagger gaze on Kojurou, "And how, dear Katakura-sama, did Megohime escape her stable? My sweet Okane knows much better."
"I was trying to take her for exercise, she had been cooped up for days, I hadn't expected-"
"Her to run off?" Akihime cut him off and moved toward him, "Don't think you could lie to me so easily."
"Forgive me, Akihime-sama..." He muttered, averting his gaze. She made a noise and turned away, gesturing to the guards to take Megohime away.
"I will spare Jin any harm, but you will not be so lucky." She told him.

It took almost a dozen men to haul away Megohime, leaving a trail of blood from her torn up legs, which were slowly healing themselves.

Akihime instructed them to take her to the arena, not noticing Okane watching from a corner.
"Sayuri-nee...?" Okane asked weakly, "Do you know where Kaa-san is taking Megohime-dono...?"

Sayuri knew exactly where Megohime was being taken, but Okane didn’t need to know or see. “I don’t know... But for now we should go back to the castle and wait for Okaa-sama..”

“She...” Sayuri bit her lip and quickly steered Okane toward the castle. “She didn’t mean it, she was just angry..”

Sayuri nodded and smiled. “Mmhm! Ne, why don’t we go see what we can have for a snack today?”
