Last Movie You Saw...

... Oh no... this is embarrassing...

Minecraft Movie. I don't watch movies too often and it happened to be what my niece wanted to see.

Metalocalypse: Army Of The Doomstar (I made the fatal mistake of not watching Doomstar Requiem first, so I had no idea what the hell was going on. I did watch all of season 4 of Metalocalypse before they took it off of HBO Max, so I at least knew about the stuff about Magnus Hammersmith)

The House of the Devil (2009) - Jocelin Donahue first starring role. Hit a bunch of things on my list when it comes to horror films.

After having seen 1BR within last couple years, I can see similarities between it and The House of the Devil, but think the introduction of cult/devil was better in The House of the Devil. Felt it was turn off in 1BR to go the cult route while that route was fitting twist in this movie.

Logan Lucky

Absolutely love anything by Soderbergh and this is no different.

Just saw Akira (1988) in theaters. Seen movie twice or thrice before, but it's such a great flick that I had to see it on a big screen.

Gotta love the fact that some parents thought it was a great idea to bring the whole family watch it. They left quite quickly.

It's been such a treat for anime-fans here since we finally got End of Evangelion in theaters here few months back, and in two weeks Perfect Blue will be shown in theaters as well, which I will definitely go to see as well.

If we're talking in the movie theatre idk on that one it has been a hot minute

If not well then the latest movie I've watched was the K-Pop Demon Hunters on Netflix, and it was very cute and the music was great!

Last movie was definitely Superman! Great film too, though my local theater only had in 3D... and I have a particular dislike for 3D

The movie itself was pretty great though!

Watched three movies in the span of 24 hours, so:

As mentioned last time I went to see Perfect Blue (1997) in theaters. Still one of the best anime movies ever made, and my favorite work from Satoshi Kon

Last night I also watched Fallen Angels (1995). My friend has tried to get me watch Wong Kar-wai movies for ages, and now I get why. Really enjoyable crime-drama with great aesthetics and atmosphere. Will definitely go through his filmography slowly but surely.

I also just finished watching Love & Pop (1998). Hideaki Anno has always been one of my favorite anime-directors, so decided to finally take a look of his live-action works besides Shin Godzilla. Another great flick where Anno plays with his strengths. Also a good look of the whole compensated dating concept and all the problems and dangers surrounding it.

Most likely will give Ritual (2000) a look next from Anno's live-action filmography.
