Movie set? Seriously?
Was it just the posters? Because... there's so many rights issues, you hardly ever see movie posters in movies unless they're fake or owned by the same company that's making the movie. And that doesn't explain the event schedule sort of thing that's posted up in the corner.
Plus there's a table, which you might think craft services, except there's nothing but a cell phone and pieces of paper on it. Which, having sat behind such tables in very similar booths when I was Media Director in my college, I recognized as typical.
And you see, the posters are on a wall, and there's another table right next to it, with someone standing in front of it, and someone behind it pointing something out. Like it was, say, another student organization trying to drum up membership, giving a pitch to the dude in the blue shirt.
And all the other people milling about, and other signs and things in the background. If it's a set, it's an amazingly chaotic and random one, and that doesn't often happen in actual, you know, movie sets.
It's not posed like a promotional shot, it's not much of a candid (because if it was a celebrity, there'd be more of an effort to show the face). Other than the movie posters in the background, there's no evidence of any sort of relation to film; no equipment, or lighting, or PAs or electricians or grips or other actors or anything.
So is it really just the movie posters that's triggering you? Really? Maybe it's just my experience with college clubs or with movie sets or something, I don't know.
See, there's a chance I'm wrong, sure. Might be a big chance, I don't know; I haven't done the research. But I'm judging the photo on, I like to think, more realistic grounds.
I hope she does give an ID photo like Try asked for, just to show you fellas up. But at that point, I also feel she'd be justified in giving a big old "fuck off" to the site as a whole. And I hope she doesn't do that (the "fuck off" part), because from what I've read, she's the kind of roleplayer we want to keep around, no matter if she's really a guy or using someone else's photo or whatever. I don't much care, I just like how she types.
But by all means, if you feel you've got motive, keep making her feel welcome.
FAKE EDIT: Damn you people for being fast.
