Guardian {Fogu_s_Tofu & Dawn Dearest}

Ms. De'La'Tore gave a noticable fake smile. "Sure. I have to make a few calls anyway. Just let me know when you are finnished so I can close up for lunch." Kinny nodded. "We will."

He followed after her watching her leave the house. She was immediatly on the phone when the door closed. "Come on Jorie. Let's look around." He kissed her forehead and gave her a squeeze.

Jorie giggled once the woman was gone, she then jumped from the squeeze. Looking up at Kinny she smiled and took his hand, leading the way down the hallway, she grinned and opened a door, to a bathroom, another blush crept up her cheeks as she got naughty thoughts in her mind.

Kinny noticed her blush and he began to fidget. the tub was big, big enough for two. It must be a new addition because it was bigger than expected. He looked it over, it was nice. "We could have some fun in here." He put his arm around her. He looked at her his first thought s were how lucky he was and how cute she is.

Jorie jumped feeling his arm go around her, turning quickly she reached up and kissed him, the turn had been so fast that her pig tails bounced. Her hands went to his chest, moving swiftly across him, she wouldn't deny that she was aroused at that moment, she wouldn't deny that she wanted him.

He breathed deep, his eyes slowly closing. This was getting tough. He felt himself growing, but who knew how long they had. "as much as I love this dear, that which could be back any moment." That aside he kissed her this time. Drawing her closer and palming her lush bottom.

Jorie pouted pitifully at him then nodded in surrender. Moving away from him she fixed her hair then tilted her head to the side when she looked out the bathroom window. Leaning against the sink counter she looked out again, then blinked this time she didn't see anything. There appeared to be nothing there. So she began to look away and instantly realized what a mistake that had been, as a shadow demon appeared.

Kinny's hair suddenly bristled, between them, a dark figure apeared. He was instantly rushing the creature, it's features not fully developed yet. He slammd the thing against the wall, pinning it there. It struggled, biting into his hand as it covered the shadows mouth. Kinny fought back a yelp. He didn't need the realator walking in on this. Kinny wasn't paying much attention, but the creature took on the form of a beatiful woman, near Jorie's age in appearance.

His arousel over his girlfriend and the inadvertant contact was keeping his member hard. In the few minutes the two had slid along the wall, knocking the door closed. The demon slashed at his arms and stomped his foot, but all the while he'd managed to keep it controlled. Blood flowing from his hand he slamed the shadow into the door trying to make it let loose of his now mangled palm. The two fell to the floor as her head bounced off the wood.

She tried to scramble up but Kinny graabbed her round the legs bringing her to her knees. She reached for Jorie, but the angel hurried and pined her arms down. After a moment, Kinny's eyes got wide. He felt breasts in his hands and had the thing sitting in his lap. "Jorie, don't tell me this is a girl." He was afraid to look at either of them in this awkward situation.

Jorie stood there in complete and total shock as she watched the scene before her happen. Never had she expected this to come into play, nor had she expected this creature to be a woman. Jorie scrambled out of the way when they began fighting. The moment he had the creature pinned and he said "Jorie, don't tell me this is a girl." she blushed gently and stepped back looking away. "Uhm, okay, it's no-" the moment she tried to finish her sentence, the window opened and Jorie was yanked out.

"Jorie!" Kinny screamed. Yet for a moment he was stuck between keeping this demon here and rushing after her. He grabbed the shadow by the hair dragging her to the window. Jorie was in the arms of another creature, definetly male, but not like the one he currently held captive.

He went into a fit, bashing the remaining window pane out of the frame. He turned upon the only lead he had. "I'm sorry to do this." He gripped the woman by the throat and pinned her against the wall. For the first time, this thing's snarle was gone, the arrogant angry glare replaced with fear. She wasn't even struggeling this time. "You're mine now. do you understand, you work for and obey me. Of course, if you don't agree, you die." He held his bloody hand up. "A blood contract. Your life for your services. The rules are simple. Help me protect Jorie..." The arrogance came back but fear was still heavy as she shot a dark comment at the man. "Obviously you're having trouble on your own." He tightened his grip on the woman. "You really don't want to die. I can tell. This is your last chance. Agree to the terms, help me protect Jorie, no killing unless I approve and hopefully we can come to a better understanding." His hand slowy tightened. The creatures eyes grew more frightened.

Everyone knew demons could only be killed by angels and other demons. She and Kinny both also understood what they were doing was wrong as she cut her palm with her sharp nails. A blood pact between the two was forbidden. She held her hand up and took his. "We have a deal." She sounded defeated as he let her to her feet. "My name is..." "No time for that, Jorie needs us. can you track that thing?" She nodded, good, I'll follow you." And with that, they were out the window.

Jorie would have screamed but at this moment in time, she had no chance to scream, she could hardly figure out what was going on or how it happened. How had the demons found them? What did the demons want with them? Why were they here? It couldn't be the Apocalypse could it? A small hushing sound came from the demon holding her. Groaning in pain she closed her eyes as she felt something circle her wrist and squeeze. Opening her eyes quickly she looked down but didn't see anything. What was going on? Looking around quickly, she realized then that they were no longer in the backyard of the building, but they were merely four buildings away.

The male demon growled at Jorie when she began to struggle to get away. Taking a step away from her, he walked towards a waiting vehicle, knocking on the window he whispered "We have part one of the plan."

Jorie tried to move to the best of her abilities when he left, only to find herself unable to move, her feet seemed glued to the ground, but if she looked down she would have noticed the small amount of shadows slowly creeping up her feet, to her ankles and up her legs. If she were to closely investigate her wrist, Jorie would have noticed a small red band slowly tightening itself onto her wrist.

Kinny was on his new slave's heels as she led him through back yards over fences, still, it was short run because after a minute they saw Jorie being loaded into a car. "Jorie!" he yelled. The door closed. A voice beside him brought him out of the shock he felt. "I'll get her." The shadow leapt onto the roof while Kinny ran to grasp the door handle. It was hot and seared the wound from earlier, a few of the shadows grew and formed around him.

"Shit." He shouted as his hand was kicked away. Atop the vehicle, his ally was faring anybetter as the people in the cab struck blades up through the roof. Everything was a blure as the two tried their best at rescuing the girl he loved. He'd broght one down, the thing turning into a shapeless lump, another started up after "Shadow, behind you." She looked back and kicked the assailant in the face. He reeled back hitting the hood head first and after a flip landed on the ground in the same fashion. "We an't fight in the day. they're too strong!" The remeaining shadow demons fled, leaving only those in the car. Kinny smashed in a wondow only to duck away from two vollies of gun fire. Not everyone in the car was supernatural. Shadow dealt with the same attack as she grabbed the driver, but as she withdrew, the bloody hunk of flesh was something she could show for her effort.

Jorie finally managed to get a scream out, just as Kinny and the Shadow arrived. Shaking roughly as she was pushed into the car, she glared at the demons around her. Due to her glare, she received a smack across the face. She couldn't see what was going on outside the car, nor could try to concentrate on it. Her eyes focused on a demon as she found the shadow that had been circling her body was gone, as was the searing pain on her wrist.

An angel above all of this watched Kinny and the Shadow fight to free Kinny's soul mate, even though he was an angel and the girl's guardian she had somehow managed to bring him back to life. This angel knew what had to be done, or Kinny and the Shadow may not be able to fight them off alone. Looking down and into the vehicle he stared at human girl in the car glaring at the shadows trying to plan her own escape. After a moment of just thinking the angel began whispering something, and this something only Jorie would be able to hear and understand, "Dear Girl, Child of God, You have the strength inside of you, You have the light to shine through. Use your hidden talent to save yourself and others. Do not fear it. It is yours to use. Use it wisely, but carefully." with a movement of his hand a small bead of white light appeared and was shot down at Jorie.

It seemed as if time had frozen for her, she had heard the words, she felt the sudden shock of the white light bead entering her through her arm. Shaking she stared at the demons, small tears formed in her eyes. She had no clue if she would live after this. She had no clue what was actually going to happen. "Kinny....I love you so much..." She whispered before she jerked her body forward and grabbed a demon's arm.

If you were outside the vehicle all you would have seen was a flash of light from the car, and you would have thought someone lit something or was using a flashlight.

Kinny kept himself ducked down trying to form a plan, Shadow on the other hand was a curious one that decided to take a peek, just as she got up there was a flash and she fell back. "HOLY SHIT!" she screamed patting the hand that was burned by the light. Kinny bolted up and looking in the car, his mouth fell open. Jorie sat alone, piles of ash covering the seat. other places were just empty. "Jorie? You okay?" From the other side the door opened, shadow glared into the nearly empty car. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?" She roared.

Jorie sat there in complete shock, she hadn't expected that as the result, nor had she expected Shadow to be helping Kinny. Swallowing slowly, she looked at Kinny and nodded slowly "Yes..I...I think so." she then jumped hearing Shadow. Shoving out of the ash filled car, she shoved Shadow out of her way then yelled back "IT WAS LIGHT! WHAT THE HELL ELSE?"

Kinny watched Jorie get out, pushing Shadow aside. Yelling back with a sarcastic rage. A reply came fromn Shadow. "WELLL DUH. I KNOW WHAT LIGHT IS GIRLIE! HOW THE FUCK DID YOU BECOME A LIGHT BULB?" kinny by now stepped in between them. "Ladies!" He said it firmly yet calmly. "Look, let's get gone, and figure this all out when we get home. After all, i think we have alot of quetions to answer." Shadow nodded, still not too happy about being yelled at or burnt. "Why not." She said.

Jorie had been about to scream back at Shadow when Kinny stepped in, narrowing her eyes at Shadow she looked up at Kinny then nodded slowly. "Okay." She whispered curling into him. She was scared, she didn't understand any of what just happened, none of it made any sense to her. How did she suddenly just become able to use light. She knew there was an angel, but nothing more. Closing her eyes she inhaled Kinny's scent.

After the short pause, Kinny moved away from Jorie a little as he started to walk. His hand still sore from the day's event's and walking with a leg he just now noticed to be sore. He could feel Jorie walking right behind him but stopped as something was missing. He turned and saw Shadow still by the car, obviously looking confused, and vulnerable in the sun.

He pulled Jorie close. "She's mine. We made a deal, I can't abandone her now. Not after I had her give up her rights to go home." It was all a whisper. He even avoided lookng her way, trying not to let on that he was talking about her. "She helped save you, and I know you've got questions. I'll answer them, truthfully, okay." He gave Jorie a kiss. "I love you." This was not a whisper, and it was filled honesty.

He turned to Shadow. "Come on. 'We' includes you too. Let's go home." Kinny knew not to wait for Jorie's approval on that part, but untill the tension eased a bit... he'd go around her this one time. For a brief second, he thought he saw the demon smile but as she got close there was just a blank stare. He rubbed Jorie's back, letting her know that he was just doing the right thing.

Jorie listened to Kinny carefully, then almost yelled at him, she couldn't believe this. Her home still meant being with her parents! She was going to be grounded for life now. She had lied to her parents about Kinny, now she had to lie to them about Shadow? Jorie looked at Shadow as she came closer, Jorie then glared and walked ahead, even to her own surprise ahead of Kinny. He thought he was doing the right thing? How did he expect her parents would handle this? They didn't get the apartment they had been looking at because of this demon. Now he wanted to help this demon, because he made a deal with it?

Jorie shook her head in anger and kept walking. She didn't want to think about it, it wasn't fair, it wasn't right. Everything had been perfect earlier that morning, then they had to go to that stupid place and now look what happened. A small groan passed her lips almost silently. Closing her eyes, she kept walking, at the moment not caring if Kinny caught up. He just put her in a very bad position at home.

Kinny could sense what she was thinking. even Shadow seemed to have a feeling. The demon now walking a few steps behind them. Kinny trying to keep up with Jorie. As they got to the porch he took her hand and spun her to face him. "Hold on." She looked intense. "Okay." He felt the wheels in his brain buzzing as he quickly thought of things, he felt shadow stop next to them and another thought popped into his overloaded head. He looked Shadow over. There was no way she was passing for human as she was now. "Shit!" he hadn't thought of the concequences when he'd made the deal to save Jorie's life.

"Okay." He took a deep breath, holding a pissed off Jorie gently by her hands so she couldn't storm up into the house. "Shadow is new in town, we met her and were showing her around." He paused again. Looked Shadow over again. "Is there anyway you could pass for human?" He asked he really wanted to get inside before someone came by.

Jorie felt like screaming the minute he caught her. Her eyes held anger and sadness. She couldn't believe this was happening to her, at the moment she didn't care what it did to him, he brought it onto himself. Jorie looked at Shadow and made a face she then waited for him to be busy looking at Shadow before she yanked herself free from him. Jumping over the banister handle she landed on the ground and went around the side of the house. She didn't want to be around him and "His demon" Jorie was hurt, and it was killing her to think of Kinny wanting to call someone or something else his.

She was his, not Shadow. Jorie glared and kicked a can, she then wandered into the woods and went to her little shed and sat down inside before she began punching the punching bag. She wanted nothing to do with Shadow. She wanted those two to figure their own problems out. It was his fault. It was Shadow's fault. It was also Jorie's because she looked into the window and saw the demon.

Jorie cried out in anger and slammed her fist into the punching bag, she heard something crack and knew she just broke something in her hand, but she didn't stop she kept going. She kept punching the bag. She was not in the mood for anything. She was angry, hurt and scared.

Jorie knew even if she told her parents Shadow was new in town and was showing her around, they would still get mad at her. A small whimper like sound escaped Jorie as she heard another crack. She instantly knew what happened, another bone broke. She just kept going. "Stupid thing. Why does this keep happening?!"

Shadow as a Human

Kinny was going to go after her, but the demon held up a hand. "I'm not human, but i know girl stuff." She motioned at her body. She then turned and headed for the smell of her mistress. After all, the girl was who she was to protect, and in an odd way Shadow felt this ment taking care of her as well. "Stupid angel blood giving me feelings." She grumbled as she followed the scent to a shed. She heard Jorie hitting something and a few slight pops. Shadow knocked on the door yet stepped in at the same time. "Hey Lightbulb." She couldn't help but push a button or two, it was in her nature after all. "I do believe there is a huge misunderstanding." She readied herself for whatever onslaught came her way. as she sat in front of the door. Keeping Jorie in so they could speak.

Jorie's eyes flew to Shadow, she couldn't believe she had the guts to come here and speak to her. Her eyes narrowed, before she went back to punching the bag. "What do you care? You're a demon. Demons are supposed to be assholes right?" She looked at Shadow then smirked. "You must be awfully proud of yourself though. Getting an angel and destroying a human's mind and feelings." She laughed then went back to punching, trying her hardest to ignore the shooting pain. Finally she stopped and looked at Shadow "You and Kinny have no idea what kind of hell you two just put me into..." pausing she continued "Because of you two, my parents could throw me out onto the street...or kill me." Shaking her head she looked at the door "Out of my way demon."

Shadow growled, lightly, but it was there. As Jorie tried to push her way past the demon grabbed her much as kinny had done to shadow earlier, only this time avoiding any intimate parts. "Listen you little bitch!" Shadow didn't like being accused of something she didn't do, she had, as in the past, taken great pride in her work. "You're more my type then he will ever be!" She pushed Jorie back against the wall and pinned her, stradeling her legs. "He was ready to kill me. End my life! GOT IT!" Shadow was up in the human girl's face. "But he loved you so much, he risked his own self, making a deal with me. Something forbidden. ANGEL OR NOT..." She seethed a little, she wasn't even mad at Jorie any more, yet here they sat, Shadow unleashing a wall of emotion on her. "... HE CAN GO TO HELL NOW!" Shadow seemed to soften at the realization of where she was. She got off Jorie. "My home. My own kind. I gave up EVERYTHING! Because some angel's blood allowed me to feel things I never could. You think he's tainted... what about me. He might get off easy, but I'll be an outcast forever. Angels and demons alike will not accept me now. I truely am alone." She looked at Jorie. "You have no idea how lucky you are. Don't ruin it." The demon patted her thigh and backed out of the shed. "I think I have a few solitions for some of those problems you have. Alright, Jorie." Then, shadow was gone.

Jorie cried out in shock and fear when she was grabbed and shoved. She didn't jerk or struggle just stared at the demon, at Shadow. She had no clue what had happened. Fear filled Jorie's eyes as she listened to Shadow, shaking roughly she watched Shadow's face and whimpered gently, she hadn't meant to freak out like she had on Shadow, but now Shadow had given her even more reason to be upset with Kinny. To save herself, he made a forbidden deal with Shadow. Closing her eyes she opened them just as Shadow finished, shaking gently she moved towards the door. "I'm sorry..." she whispered to Shadow before she was gone. Jorie had no clue what to do now. She didn't know what to say, or how to fix any of this. Looking down at her swollen hand she sighed and stepped out of the shed and closed the door, before she began heading back towards the front of the house. She would be nicer to Shadow now that she knew the truth.

Kinny sat on the porch, elbows resting on his knees head in his hands and worried sick. He'd heard a little shouting, but, something told him to keep away. Shadow passed by in a flash, but he hadn't really noticed, it was to him, like a mind trick. As His girlfriend came around the corner later he lept up. Giving her a big hug when he got to her. He didn't know what to say. "You're crying." He felt a drop or two fall on his shoulder. "Are you alright?" It certainly wasn't the first time he'd asked her that question, but it he always hoped it would be the last.

Shadow stormed quickly past people and cars. A human neighbor hood where she'd lived in secret for years, to an appartment bare except for a bed, a desk and a chair. She hardly stayed here, too busy out stealing the souls of the wicked before they could repent. That was no longer her task. If she were lucky she could make better use of this place now. "What a waste. All that hard work." She grumbled as she opened the door. "AND WHAT'S THIS INCISSTANT LITTLE VOICE?!"

"It's called guilt." She didn't expect an answer, but she jumped and faced down the person. "Who are you?" The bright figure dimmed. "I'm jasper. An angel. You saved a life today. Given the circumstances, I figure that we shouldn't go too hard on you. Kinny's young, and, foolish... at times. breaking two codes in... less than a week. Something is happening, something big, and all we can do is let the major players come into play. I myself did something I shouldn't have. Just, keep that a secret okay." Shadow stood there, a stupified look on her face as the man disappeared. "okay." She answered after he was gone. There was a knock on the door, snapping out of it she walked over and answered "Yea?" A police oficer standing there. "I thought this was a joke." He commented, then handed her papers. "Uuum. Have a good day Ms. Shadow." He too dissapeared, though, he walked down the hall. "This is too much." Shadow said setting on the floor and warily opening the papers.

Kinny tended to Jorie's fingers. Shaking his head. "I'm going to have to have a talk with Shadow."
