A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...
Star Wars: Into the Dusk
Episode I: A Ravenous Star
It is the dawn of a bright era for the New Republic. A generation ago, Luke and Anakin Skywalker defeated Emperor Palpatine on board the second Death Star over the Forest Moon of Endor. Since then, the Rebel Alliance has liberated vast swatches of the galaxy from the Empire and formally established a New Republic. With the support of the New Jedi Order established by Luke Skywalker, the fledgling Republic has faced down countless threats and emerged victorious again and again.
In order to further strengthen the Republic in economic, political, and military arenas, the newly elected queen of Zeltros, Mialle Avern'veren, called for her people to establish the Saber-Fleet. These 7 cutting edge frigates are designed not only with military might in mind, but exploration and foreign aid.
In the fourth year of her reign—21 years after the Battle of Yavin—the Saber-Fleet is christened and launched, each ship given a mission to strengthen the Republic.
On board the H.M.S. Shak'ti, a group of brilliant young women journey with their captain and 1,000 crew mates on a mission to chart safe routes into an area of space beyond the Galactic Core known as the Unknown Regions. Their mission is one of exploration and progressive economic expansion—seeking new resources and trade partners.
Little do they know what a terrible Darkens lies in wait.

Nyxia Vors
Zel—sun of the planet Zeltros—shone through technicolor clouds high on the western horizon. A speeder cab pulled up to Her Majesty's Space Port and Nyxia Vors—blushing softy from the handsome Zeltron cab driver's playful flirtation—transferred a bakers dozen credits from her chip with a “Thanks for the ride, Morn.”
She slipped out of the cab, cheeks still rosy. An brisk breeze rustled through her sunlight tresses and sapphire eyes fluttered shut. “any time beautiful,” the cabby replied as his speeder pulled away. The cool gusts sent Nyxia's hair waving out again. The girl gave a contended sigh. “I don't know what to do with this planet,” she murmured softly to herself. “Everything's so soft and colorful, I feel like I'm going to melt into mush just looking around. And the perfume...” the blush that had started to fade flared up again. “What is that, anyway?” A soft inhalation and images of a zeltron dance club—barely dressed men and women undulating all around her—pressed to the forefront of her mind. “I don't think I've been right in the head since I first inhaled.”
The blond gave a confused sigh. The stiff breeze was the closest thing she'd felt to home since landing here. But new challenges were waiting. Sapphire eyes opened. Nyxia straightened the short black skirt of her dress uniform. It consisted basically of a snug tunic black tunic with copper buttons and sapphire embroidery, sheer stockings, and healed pumps. An sapphire arm band with some bars and pips showed her rank—lieutenant junior grade—and her qualifications. There weren't many, but one particular sapphire bar quietly told anyone who knew what too look for that the Force was with her, and she would use it in service to the ship. There was an officer's side arm at her hip—a standard blaster pistol—and also a bladed disk a little bigger than her palm.
Picking up her bags and striding through the star port, then—after checking her bags—out the other side onto the tarmac, Nyxia stopped to observe Saber Fleet. Seven matte black ships—none of them huge by capitol ship standards. It was a little hard to believe that each would be crewed by a thousand. They were triangular vessels. They vaguely resembled two star destroyers stacked one atop the other—if a star destroyer were little more than a hundred meters from fore to aft. The ship was fairly well armed for it's size. There was a turbo laser turret at the top back. She saw a few point defense guns, and a torpedo launcher too.
The two levels of the ship were joined by two slender, sturdy decks, heavily reinforced to make landing possible—if dangerous. According to schematics, this adjoining deck was a hanger bay housing six fighters. Two armed landing craft—not unlike the old lambda shuttles—attached on either side.
The ships were not yet christened, though Nyxia knew that they would be named for generals form the clone wars—jedi. She scowled a little at that thought. I suppose Skywalker's people are all right. Damn, I certainly put myself through enough for that Jania. But seriously?
Striding up to the red carpet before the fourth vessel, Nyxia moved to join up with the crew that had already arrived. In an hour or so, the ship would be christened and they'd all march aboard for her maiden voyage.
The blond pulled up sharp when she realized who was allredy here. A mix of Zeltrons, Humans and an Ithorian. Though few of them were old—the captain there with his ceremonial looking sword and hat must couldn't have been forty—but they were still all clearly twice her age or more.
“Force,” she murmured. “I'm going to be the youngest girl aboard, aren’t I?”
