Colliding Worlds (BurningWillows & Greeneyed23)

Elaya had forgone all dignity and grace to charge after her lover, and actually had swelled into her more bulky muscular form again, cutting Sera off from the others.

"Sera? What is is babe?" She was on edge in just that moment, ready to slay anyone and anything if her Seraphina had been harmed.

Rhaeghal and followed and stood in the doorway, facing them. Only his mother could get by to his aunt Elaya. Even her own sister did not dare approach, and she gestured for her fellows and the waiters to stay back.

Elaya gently rubbed Sera's spine, her eyes light purple but ringed with blood red.

Hagath sensed the danger and moved to the redhead's place, sniffing her food.

Elaya moved to look into Sera's eyes, still rubbing her back. "Sera?" She gave off her worried whine.

Pitr spoke very softly, still well back. "Can we offer anything Elaya?"

Elaya held up a glass of water to Sera so she could clean out her mouth, her eyes searching for the answer.

Sera coughed and choked out the last of it, taking the water thankfully and gulping it down, tears in her eyes. She stood up slowly, her stomach now cramping from it. She felt like she needed to lie down, but she felt responsible to this lunch and Elaya.

"I'm sorry," she whispered, looking up at Elaya fearing she would see disappointment, "It must have been something in the food..."

It was a sorry excuse for a lie, but admitting her stress in front of the Circle members would only throw the spotlight at Lairia and cause more trouble. What Sera really wanted was to excuse herself and leave, hoping a nap might be her saving grace.

Meanwhile Lairia called Rhaegal back. For a kitten his curiosity could come at the worst of times and she didn't need him under Elaya's feet when Sera was clearly not feeling well. Getting the cat back onto his lounging couch she scratched under his chin, keeping him entertained as she watched on with worry.

Elaya's eyes narrowed and she whispered. "No baby. Nothing in that food could hurt you. I checked." She gently nuzzled her nose into into the soft hair before Sera's ear and sighed.

"Don't worry. Let's get you to bed." She straightened. "You will have to excuse us for a moment. Princess Seraphina isn't feeling well."

She did not wait for permission, gently drawing Sera out of the room and to the wolf's bedroom. She ignored Sera's protests.

"Stop. You are the most important thing in my life. Now lay down." Elaya undid her hair, and removed her dress and tucked her into bed, making the phoenix drink some peppermint seltzer water.

She sat beside her heart, stroking her hair. As she sat her nose twitched.

She cocked her head, then leaned closer to Sera, her nose over the redhead's tummy. She took a deep sniff and her eyes narrowed again as she looked up at Sera's face.

She leaned up and put her lips to Sera's ear and kissed her cheek. You used my fire.... thats what happened to my heat. She moved to look Sera in the eye, and though her eyes were still narrowed, it was clear she was restraining hope, not quite daring to say her hopes aloud, not now.

She gently cupped Sera's jaw, her fingers trembling. Please tell me Seraphina... are you....are we? She did not dare say the words. She wanted nothing more than to spend eternity with this woman. And with her hope. Her dream even before she knew Seraphina existed.

Her eyes were their darkest purple and brightly aglow with love and hope. Her free hand took Sera's right and raised it to her lips, using this to seal in her fears, though she continued to tremble. She was bursting to speak, now? When her Seraphina felt so sick? No it was not the time.

Sera felt horrible for ruining the lovely occassion, but in truth, Elaya was giving Sera just what she wanted. An escape. She still felt rather sick as she let her wolf lead her through the corridors down to the second floor and to their small hall with the rooms. She had thought Elaya would navigate her to Sera's room for the time being but the Princess was having none of it, still looking so poised and in control as she opened her door and led Sera in. Leaning against her fiancee, she let Elaya do everything, undressing her and undoing her hair, before helping her slide into bed.

"Thank you," she whispered, feeling the coldness of the blankets, which noted how warm she had gotten from the vomiting. Her body would rise in temperature naturally to find any contaments within it causing the sickness, although if Sera was truthful she could not remember a time last that she had truly thrown up or gotten sick. Phoenix's temperatures burned viruses away much too quick, and she was always careful with her food. And stress before had never made her so nauseous as it did now. No it usually made her heat rise, but never her meal. She couldn't understand what was wrong, but from Elaya's worried looks her wolf was thinking much the same, having known Sera too long to not see the troubling signs in this.

"I'm so sorry about lunch," she whispered, closing her eyes and letting Elaya pull up the covers more as she tried to settle and let herself rest, her stomach still in knots, "I tried so hard to keep it down, but arriving here has put me on edge...I guess. I don't know what came over me."

She winced as her stomach churned more at the idea of Elaya disappointed, her breath loud, "Please don't be mad...with me. I'll make amends with them after I sleep...I'll fix things..."

Sera was beginning to slip away now, the bed warm from her body, Elaya's touch adding to the sense of calm. Her stomach was knotted but merely focusing on Elaya's stroking hand let Sera drift and soon she was napping, her eyes shut and her breath soft. The Phoenix had no idea what Elaya was beginning to discover, no notion as it was never something she thought possible.

Elaya waved away her lover's concerns. "Nonsense. You ruined nothing." She did not even consider anyone else when it came to Sera's health and safety.

"All that matters is you my darling."

Elaya continued to soothe her, while her mind raced, and when Sera had drifted off to sleep, she leaned down and sniffed again, then moved the blankets, and lay her chin on Sera's thigh, her nose so close to her love's sex. She took a long breath, and her eyes snapped open.

She was now trembling almost violently.

She closed her eyes, took a deep breath and willed her body to stillness. Then she covered Sera up, tucking her in, then kissed the Phoenix's forehead. "Sera...my love... we..." She couldn't say it.... yes she could. She would not let any ears but these so precious to her hear the words first. "You're a mother Seraphina. Our babies... You're pregnant!"

She bounced to her feet. She wanted to wake the Phoenix, but she knew better. She bit her lip. Tatia was asleep, she had smelled it. Gerry and Amitiel were off exploring. Narxis and Arya were deep in the throes of passion..who? Lairia!

She carefully checked the room, unaware that she was moving at nearly top speed. Until she noted that she was making the bedclothes flutter.

She forced herself to walk slowly as she made sure the room was comfortable and sealed, locked the door, and left Sera to rest as she moved to find her friend and tell her the news.

She marched along, still graceful and dignified, but unaware of anything save her news. Oh yes and she could tell Pitr and Hagath! They would be so happy!

"But Lairia first.... perhaps she could be godmother to the babies?" She actually flushed at the idea. Babies. her babies! She only just contained a squeal.

She did not see the students she passed who bowed and knelt and greeted her, though she did wave to them in the proper fashion, by reflex rather than actual thought. Seraphina was having their babies!

When Sera and Elaya left there was only one thing Lairia had left to do. As the waiters set about clearing the table and cleaning, the Circle stood off to the side talking over what had happened, wondering what might have made the Princess' consort sick. Lairia stood behind Rhaegal's throne, softly petting him as she bit her lip and sucked up the courage to do what she came to do.

"May I seek counsel?" she finally asked, loudly and without a tremor in her voice. Their conversation ceased and they all turned to look at her, some with calm stares, others curious.

"Of course you may Lairia," Ki nodded, "What is on your mind?"

Lairia didn't know how else to do it. Opening her palm in front of her the box appeared and with her slender fingers of the other hand she opened its lid, revealing the stone necklace within. Watching their faces, she could see those that knew of it paling immediately, and those that didn't look confused and intrigued.

"This stone has had many names over its life, from the crystal of Hell, to the Philosopher's stone, to what scholars call today, the Gem of Malah - it's true title. I am here to give it to the Circle, in hopes it will be locked away and kept safe from those wishing to abuse its power."

Ki's eyes were wide and Hemlick looked nervous, but it was Zael who spoke, "The last records of such a stone was seen in Versailles almost..."

"Two decades ago," Lairia cut in, holding her breath as her blue eyes watched all of them, steeling herself for what may come, "I know."

"And only the Circle knew that it was!" Veronica chimed in, her eyes dancing now with anger, "We did not release our findings to anyone, so how-"

"Because I was there," Lairia cut in and the room fell deadly silent. Had a pin dropped it would have been heard, all breath ceased. For a moment she thought they were in shock until suddenly Zael let out a gravelly yell and waved his one arm. Two thick golden cuffs appeared on her wrists, thrumming with magic. She knew what they were all too well. These cuffs sapped any magic in her, cutting off all ties from her energy to her magic. She was now no more stronger than a mortal, which made it much easier for him to stomp forward and swipe up the box, glaring daggers at her. The room burst into yelling then, the Circle asking a million questions, each speaking over the other as they accused her. And Lairia simply stood there and took it, head bowed, knowing every word they said was truthful. Veronica threw in a few spiteful, hateful words too but Lairia only winced at them, knowing she deserved this. She had killed a city. Justice needed to be done.

Elaya was almost ready to skip in her joy.

Damn this place was big. But it ahd to be. For all the children., The babies! She grinned at her own silliness, btu she couldn't help it.

"Finally!"

She swept up to the doors and thrust her palms forward. "Lairia! Sera is-"

Her eyes took in the cuffs, Rhaeghal's snarling face, and the rage filled faces of the circle, including her kin.

She blinked, then slowly lowered her hands. She looked at lairia, and did not need to ask. She closed her eyes, then turned and shut the door, then locking it, sealing herself within with the Circle.

She moved to her former place, and spoke very softly. "Princess Seraphina is fine. I seem to have interrupted. My apologies. Perhaps it would be best if I take the tiger and leave you to your business?"

She looked at Lairia. her friend looked so despondent. She wished she could help somehow. But she had no power here. But she could have done something...maybe. Lairia... Elaya had come to consider her a dear friend. A trusted friend. Few in the world could claim that. And even fewer magic users.

Elaya could not help feeling heartbroken. She didn't want to lose another friend. Not so soon. She let her eyes rest on Lairia, trying to think of something to do or say in commiseration.

The doors slammed open and Lairia lifted her eyes, seeing Elaya striding in, looking happier than ever before. That look washed away in mere seconds as she saw the scene laid before her and quickly shut the door. For a moment the Circle paused and then, as Lairia suddenly suspected, it swung on Elaya.

"Do you know what she just admitted to?" "Have you any idea the person she is?" "Did you bring her here knowing this?" "Were you aware of her ties to the genocide in Versailles?" "Have you been aiding her?" "Has your group been aiding her?" "Did Seraphina know of this?"

The questions continued to grow.

"Why is your group affiliated with Lairia?" "What has she offered you?" "Did you bring her of her own accord or of your own?"
"Has the Metuzi been hiding her?" "Aiding her?"

"Stop!" Lairia demanded loudly, cutting through all the voices. Rhaegal stood at her side growling but she put her hand on his head, easing him, "Please! Their group knew none of this till last week when I confided in Elaya! I hired them to deliver me across the continent, so that I could WILLNGLY hand myself over, alright? Stop blaming the Metuzi, or Elaya, or anyone but me!"

Elaya had been about to explode when lairia cut her off. She was impressed and touched.

She licked her lips. "Thank you Lairia."

She drew herself up and looked at the Circle, and her sister and nephew flinched despite their own fury. Her eyes had switched from delighted purple to deadly blood red in a moment.

Pitr and Hagath gulped audibly, then they both knelt, laying on their faces to the Princess. They did not speak.

Elaya ignored them. "First of all. Never say my fiancee's name as if you know her again." She had her hands open on the back of the chairs she and Sera had been sitting in, and there was no sign of her rage, but her presence seemed to be filling the room. "She is an honorable and noble woman and she took the contract with Lairia to protect your damned stone. Never imply anything other ever again." it was not a respectful request. it was a Royal command.

She had stopped blinking again, and Rhaeghal had gotten off his throne and was hiding behind Lairia, cowering. Elaya had never hit him, never would, but he knew when the true apex predator was present and did not wish to be prey even accidentally.

She spoke very carefully now. "Secondly. Never speak against the Metuzi. We are a pack of honor and tradition." She did not mention that for millenia they had also hunted down and killed magic users, and the crush had only increased their reach and skills.

She stared at them in rage for a long while. She had not uttered a single threat. Just Royal Commands. And they would be obeyed. Her unbreakable will made that clear. She had also made it clear she would not answer any questions hurled at her.

Pitr spoke to the floor. "Your Grace?"

"Speak." Elaya's voice was cold. No emotion even toward her own sister.

Pitr chose her words carefully. "May i stand?"

"No. You may kneel."

Pitr obeyed. She straightened to sit upon her ankles, keeping her eyes respectfully down from her enraged Princess. She too possessed an unbreakable will, and had never shown fear to the knowledge of her companions within the Circle. She knew this would send a message to them.

She gripped her gown and ripped open the top, revealing her upper chest and throat. "My Princess, I apologize for the thoughtless words of this body. We would never impugn the honor of Princess Seraphina."

Hagath spoke now. "Your Grace?"

"Speak."

"May i stand?"

"No. You may kneel."

He did the same as his mother, including ripping open his clothing to bare his chest and throat to her. "Your Majesty, I am certain that the words against the Metuzi pack were a mistake of passion, not of true belief that the Metuzi would perform such actions. I plead for your forgiveness." the fact that neither he nor his mother included themselves within their own pack, spoke of the glaring danger of the rash words.

Elaya took a deep breath and let it out. She did not speak. For ten long minutes. During that time she did not blink. She did not move. She did not even seem to breath. Her eyes stayed on the other six of the Circle, still solid blood red.

Then she spoke. "I will accept the apology of this body. And they are forgiven for their harsh words. But the Queen and King shall be informed."

Pitr winced at this. The Queen was certain to be furious, and their father only slightly less so. both wolves bowed again and spoke in unison. "You are most kind Your Grace. Thank you."

She still ahd not taken her eyes off the Circle. "Rise wolves. It does not do for Metuzi to kneel."

They stood. elaya finally blinked and looked away fromt eh Circle, moving to Lairia, as if the Circle were not there. Pitr and hagath gestured for their fellows not to speak. Elaya gently cupped lairia's cheek. "Thank you my friend. and i am sorry there is nothing I can do. Ask me anything and it is your's." She leaned down and kissed Lairia's forehead, just as she had when Rey died, and in the same place.

"You are friend. And pack. we have shed blood and lost blood together." She smiled. "I regret that we had not met sooner sister."

Her eyes had faded to a soft bright purple. She patted Lairia's cheek. "May we hunt together always. in this world or the next." she gave a soft laugh. "Lairia...Sera is pregnant. Will you be godmother?" She had planned to wait, but Lairia likely would not even survive to the wedding. The thought made a tear spill from her right eye, hidden from the circle.

Rhaeghal watched Elaya, his Heavy jaw on lairia's hands. She wasn't angry anymore, and now he chuffed, then gave a sad little growl.

Lairia had seen this fury before, but the princess version of it was even more frightening, brimming with power. She stood there quiet, holding her tongue and protecting Rhaegal while the Circle stood before Elaya. Some flinched except the Warlocks who merely held their tongues. When Elaya turned to Lairia her heart dropped more. If this was their goodbye, Lairia wished she could make it last.

"Congratulations," she whispered at the news, smiling as tears of her own threatened to spill, "you will make the best mother as will she. It was an honour to become your friend Elaya. But I...I can't except such a honour as godmother. No child should lose their family before they are born. It would be unfair."

She peered over Elayas shoulder at the circle and that seemed to break thier silence.

"Ki will escort you to your room Lairia where you will await trial in two days at morning. Judgement and punishment will await you then."

Lairia nodded and looked back to Elaya as the Circle filed out of the room except Ki.

"They'll have me locked in and guarded," she whispered, "but they took my magic so they'll allow me visitors up until the day of the trial. I would like if you could all come visit me. Before...it happens."

"Ready?" Ki asked, looking disappointed in Lairia and sad. She held the door open and was gesturing to both women, "Princess Elaya, you can walk with us back if you so wish. I am truly sorry for my colleagues harsh words against your people."

Elaya shook her head. "A godmother should be someone a child aspires to be. Save for Sera herself, i can think of few I would want my children to be more than you Lairia. Please accept. it would mean a lot to me. And Sera."

She looked up at Ki. "Thank you. But no. i need to see to my fiancee." There was still a cold edge to her voice, though she was genuine.

She knelt and cupped Rhaeghal's head. "You stay with your mother alright?"

He chuffed and licked her face. "Good boy."

She smiled, then looked at Lairia. "We will visit."

She moved away as Pitr and Hagath moved to her side. They both took her hands and kissed her rings. "Your Grace we failed to defend your honor. What shall our punishment be?"

She shook her head. "Nothing... I am losing a friend. Again." She cupped Pitr's cheek. "Is there nothing you can do?"

Pitr studied her sister's face. "i will try Elaya...for you. But she did murder."

Elaya nodded. "So have I little one. And she has done so much more good than bad. Please try. She is a good woman. She should not be executed for losing her loves."

Pitr nodded slowly. Hagath spoke. "We shall try. We will speak to the others."

Elaya nodded. "Thank you." She kissed his temple and the corner of pitr's mouth. Pitr smiled. "Congratulations by the way. now I'll be Aunty."

Elaya grinned. Hagath spoke softly. "I have seen you that angry before Aunty...ever."

Her eyes moved to his and he smiled a bit. He was taller and bigger, but he knew his place. She smiled and patted his cheek. "I love her Hagath. More so even than my love for our pack."

He blinked at this, truly understanding. "I am sorry we let them threaten your world so Your Grace."

She nodded at the due. "You are forgiven nephew." She smiled. "Now i really must see to Sera." She hugged them and left the room, worrying over Lairia.

She opened her door, then stopped. Why wasn't it locked? She opened it fully and her heart seized. Sera was gone!

She started to growl, then closed her eyes. She took a deep sniff, and the growl faded. No blood. no struggle.

She sighed, then smiled. "Where are you my beautiful redhead?"

She took another sniff, and turned down the hall. She came to stairs down, shrugged, and made her way down, still sniffing, following her favorite fragrance toward it's source.

Lairia could not accept but she promised to think it over, then turned and went with Ki. She would not be allowed out of her room till the trial, so anyone wishing to see her would have to come to her room.

~

Seraphina had only slept for half an hour, than woke, feeling ravenous. It was weird that her stomach had emptied itself and now she wanted food. Still she could not ignore the stomach growls and redressing she found her way to the mess hall, getting lost twice. When she arrived lunch was nearly over and only one or two students remained. A waiter came up to explain but seeing how hungry she was, and at her polite request they gave her a fresh plate and let her sit and eat.

And that would where Elaya would find her. Sitting alone at a long wide table with a buffet before her, happily eating away. Everything she took on her plate was charred by her fingers but she wanted it that way, and surprisingly she had gone through a plate and a half when Elaya would appear. She grinned and waved, shoving a crispy black bun into her mouth and chewing happily.

"I hun grr wee," she spoke with good in her mouth, the colour back in her cheeks.

Elaya just smiled.

Then she sat in the chair beside her lover, watching hr eat, waiting until she had swallowed and her mouth was at least momentarily empty. Then her hand shot out and caught Sera's right hand, while their left's intertwined.

"you are also beautiful. And pregnant."

She let Sera react. "And about to get some bad news." She had told Sera everything Lairia had shared. She kept no secrets from Sera. She might not tell her everything, such as with the gifts for the Circle, but had Sera asked she would have known every item, story, and detail. It was how Elaya's mother operated with her husband, and it seemed a suitable arrangement. it prevented lying and deceit, but allowed for surprises.

She told Sera what had happened to Lairia upstairs. "I have asked her to be godmother to our children despite her likely demise. I thought Gerry and aJeziah could share godfather duties." She bit her lip. "What do you think my love?" She had chosen carefully, even before she knew Sera was pregnant, wanting people who would love and care for the children properly, but she knew she would also need someone who could train the phoenix in them, and help the wolf. She knew Lairia would die to protect children, and of course Gerry was the foremost non-werewolf werewolf expert on the planet. Should the worst happen, Gerry would raise them properly, and jeziah could do as needed.

As she had told Laiira she was a shining example of what Elaya hoped her children would be. Brave, courageous, noble, honorable, strong, feirce, loving, kind, compassion, sweet, and capable.

She watched Sera's face. "They are our children. So it's up to you as well. But Tatia...well she is not ready. Even she knows that. Amitiel would refuse outright. Drea has already given her patronage to us and our children, but she will not arise from ehr slumber for who knows how long. I wnated to choose people who could help our children. And even if she does die in a few days, lairia would be a good example to our babies." She did not even bother mentioning Narxis, let alone Arya. She loved the demon, but he was after all. A demon.

Her eyes had the Sera glow in them again as she waited for Sera's answer. Of course Elaya had no intention of letting anything happen to herself or Seraphina, but this trip had proven yet again how intentions rarely mattered little to reality.

The bun Sera had been rising to her mouth fell in a clatter on the table as she stared at Elaya in utter astonishment. Was it...true? Of course it was. Elaya would never lie to her. Slowly, inch by inch her lips raised into a grin then a wide smile that reached her eyes which were dancing.

"I'm...I'm..."she stuttered, bouncing in her seat as excitement took over, "I'm pregnant?!"

The closest platter of chicken burst into flames with her ecstatic energy bursting out as she jumped to her feet and fell over Elaya, kissing her passionately even if it was against the rules. She had dismissed ever having a family with her orientation but here it was and Elaya was giving one of the few gifts she had never thought possible. A child.

She kept kissing Elaya till she had to come up for breath then laughed, "is that why I got sick? It explains the hunger too. I feel like I could eat enough to fill you!"

It was quite the statement as Sera normally ate one plate to Elayas three.

It took her many minutes to stop bouncing and giggling and only then did she listen nodding enthusiastically, somehow the smile never failing even at the bad news. Her eyes did dimmer a bit and her smile faded into a grin but it was clear that Elayas news was one of the few greatest things she had ever heard.

"We will find a way to help Lairia," she replied, "so that our baby's godmother is there when she or he is born."

She wrinkled her nose in glee and rubbed it against Elayas nose playfully before kissing her. It would be a few months before she'd know the sex of her baby, but she knew it would only be one. Phoenix's were built to birth a single child. No phoenix in history had ever had twins.

"What will this mean for the wedding? For our jobs?" She pondered, fully in Elayas lap now and ignoring the stares. They were breaking a few rules but if Elaya wanted them to go back to the room all she had to do was ask, or for that matter simply carry the Phoenix who was beginning to munch on good again from her plate, clearly ravenous, "I mean, we have nine months to prepare it all I guess. Phoenix's reproduce like humans. Although we would need a volcano. The heat it takes...oh and we could find a home. Or make one. We'd need to raise them. I'd have to retire as a mercenary...you would too. Oh Elaya this is amazing!"

Elaya let Sera talk, then gently cupped her face, and pressing her palm over the redhead's lips silencing her.

She smiled. "Your lips are far too enticing. Now, first of all. We have a homr. Built inyo the side of three non-eruptive volcanoes. The house has been waiting for us for just a little under a month. Its up with my family where we will be protected, hidden, and safe from even the biggest threats. The group needs long time off anyway. With Tatia and Gerry retiring, and Narxis off with Arya there isn't much point."

She smiled, still holding her lover's mouth closed. "I think we should get married afterall this business with Lairia is done. Then we can go home, dropping Tatia, Ebony. And the Rythert somewhere safe. Though i have an idea on that."

She moved her hand and kissed her lover. "How does that sound my beauty?

Sera merely giggled beneath the hand, her hands dancing. A home. Of course Elaya had a home ready. Probably when they had met Jeziah, when things were really getting serious. A home near volcanos sounded wonderful.

"Sounds perfect," she hummed under the hand, then wiggle away from it to eat some more before looking around, "I think I'm causing a fuss sitting on your lap my wolf. Shall we return upstairs?"

She grabbed one last bun and piece of chicken and stood up, gobbling them down and licking her fingers, "if you got to pick the home, I get to furnish it. It's only fair. Jeziah knows a guy who does some beautiful flameproof wood work. Oh we have to send letters of our engagement!"

She was rambling, talking without pause as she began to walk lightly out of the mess hall, leading the way back, "we can order supplies to the room and start now. Oh and visit Lairia. Yes we should make Lairia the priority. Come on Elaya!"

Elaya followed her, thanking the attendant.

When the Phoenix turned to urge her on, she was met by elaya's hands on her face again, drawing her into a deep loving kiss. "No my love. First we will need to get the seamstress in. She has been sent for. Sh be in my room by now."

She smiled and nipped the tip of Sera's nose. "The Metuzi are handling the invitations my darling. I told my mother the night you first came back. She has been sending out invitations ever since. They should be arriving tomorrow."

She pressed Sera out of the way of some older students, and into an alcove, where she pressed her hips against her lover. "We will visit Lairia after we have new dresses. What we truly need is to get fitted for our wedding dresses."

She smiled. "And pick the colors, and a few other details." She writhed against her lover, actually gaining something a contact rush from her delighted lover. "And the house itself is already fireproofed, including hardwood floors. Werewolves and carpets do not mix. but you should send a message to your brother. I made sure the house will have a guest wing that will suit his needs when he comes to see his nieces and nephews."

She was carefully keeping herself calm, enjoying Sera's delight far too much to break it, but also needing to kiss her lover all she could.

She sighed suddenly and pulled away leading Sera up the stairs just as a large group of nearly grown young man came past. They tried to ogle the two women, until about a quarter of their number tensed and fell to their knees. This confused the others and Elaya smiled. "Good afternoon gentlemen."

The others smiled, until they looked into her eyes. As one, those not kneeling rushed into the dining hall. The weres bowed from their position and she smiled more. "Go eat young wolves... lions... horses... eagle...cobra...and...zebra?"

The a very dark young man stood, and gave the distinctive cry of the zebra. She smiled. "Well hello! I thought your tribe lived in Africa only?"

His accent was thick as he answered her respectfully. "yes Your Grace. but my mother and father came here as advisors to the rulers, to aid in crop production. i presented some skill with elemental magics and I was sent here to the College."

Elaya chuckled. "Lovely. What is your name?"

"Malwali Grey Your Grace."

She smiled and nodded, then spoke in his own tongue, giving him his nation's ormal greeting and traditional bow. He grinned and returned it. The other were's rose and bowed to her as well. She chuckled. "i hope to speak with all of you at some point during my visit. Your families must be so proud. I am certain that i am."

One of the wolves spoke softly. "Majesty... who is your companion?"

"This is Seraphina. My fiancee."

The young men goggled at the beautiful Phoeniux, but caught themselves and bowed respectfully. The speaker looked up at his princess. "Congratulations Majesty. She is very beautiful. She will make a good Metuzi."

Elaya nodded. "So she will. She is already pack. And she will be adding to the pack."

The young mens' head snapped up at this and she nodded. "They all gave their own cries of delight and bowed to Sera again. The speaker looked at Elaya and she nodded, but made an odd gesture with her free hand. He moved before Sera, kneeling, and took the base of her skirt and kissed it, careful not to let even his arm hairs touch her. "Metuzi Mother. The pack is honored to have you."

he moved away and the others bowed again.

Elaya chuckled then waved. "Now go eat!" They rushed off laughing and chattering about meeting the Princess and a new pack Mother.

Elaya Smiled at Sera. "To be a mother is the greatest honor possible amongst a were. When my mother was just a pup were children were rare. And those that were born were tainted or outright murdered. You just gained a legion of fans among our people." She leaned in and kissed her lover, then continued moving up the stairs to her room.

She was a little disappointed to hear she was not going to get to make the invitations. This was their wedding! She held her tongue though, not wanting to make a scene.

Sera groaned when Elaya forced her into the alcove and suddenly a flare of heat rose in her and the want for Elaya came hard and fast. She knew it was probably just one of the many new mood swings she was sure to get with her new status. She was reluctant when Elaya dragged her back into walkin but went along willingly, wanting nothin more than to get her alone, hoping the seamstress wasn't there just yet. Instead they were stopped by a group of men and Sera gave Elaya a forlorn look, wanting not to stand there but to go. It did not help when the man kneeled before her and kissed her dress, making her move back in surprise.

"That sounds awful," she replied, thinking of all that pointless death and one hand of hers rose to her belly, "no one will touch ours."

They kept walking and when they reached Elayas room Sera was once again bouncing with excitement but also with balled up need. She pushed the door open and dragged Elaya in, taking only a moment to see the room was clear before pulling close to her wolf and kissing her hungrily, her hands exploring down to her ass.

"Oh sorry!" A female voice yipped in surprise and Sera pulled away, seeing a woman stepping out of the bathroom, "should I come back?"

Before Elaya could answer her head snapped about and she closed her eyes. "Shit...."

"OH MY GOD!! ELAYA YOU LOOK WONDERFUL!!" The voice was incredibly loud and very high pitched.

A very thin man, who looked remarkably like Elaya, entered the room, marched right up to her, and hugged her tight, kissing her cheeks.

Elaya growled. "hello Daniel."

His grin was wide and bright, then he spotted Sera and his jaw dropped. "Elaya! She's gorgeous!" He started for the Phoenix but Elaya snarled and he dropped back, still smiling but looked at Elaya confused.

"She doesn't like to be touched Daniel."

"Oh. Well hello Seraphina."

Elaya sighed as he bounced up and down on his heels, "Sera this is my brother Daniel. The Royal Arranger."

He giggled and bowed. "So wonderful to meet you darling. i am here at your disposal. To help you get your flowers and colors and the invitations, and the furniture for your honeymoon and everything else ready for your wedding."

Elaya blinked. "But Mom-"

He fluttered his painted nails at her. "oh tosh. Those were just the official ones. Come or else we're at war. big old drabsthings. Don't even have dates on them sweety."

Elaya grunted.

Daniel giggled and looked at Seraphina. "Knowing my sweet sister you're the one in charge of all this. So where should i start?"

Elaya's eyes were still purple but narrowed and annoyed. But she said nothing.

Daniel ignored her still looking at Sera. He had his left hand resting just under his sternum, and his right hand cradled within it, still bouncing like the jolly little fellow he was. He sensed something, and looked at Elaya. "oh tell her Elaya."

Elaya sighed. "Daniel can get...anything. You want original babylonian silk? He can get it. Alexander the great's autograph? Done. He can get anything. And unlike some it's all real. He's. A real. Godsend."

Daniel giggled and moved around his sister as several servants came in with boxes and packages. He waited until they had been set down then he went to the box put on the dressing table and drew out one of many bound catalogues. He opened it and lay it on the bed, then stepped back, looking at the two women.

Then he noticed the other woman and smiled. "oh the Ocean City fashion guru Panice Divine! how lovely to meet you darling!" He embraced the woman, and began chattering about which colors suited his sister best, and advised her on the fabrics he could get her if she wanted to be really daring, and without telling her Sera's truth, informed the woman that Seraphina would need fireproofing on everything.

"A fire elemental specialist?"

he grinned. "yes darling aren't you clever. What can you offer us?"

She blinked. "Well i need to take measurements."

"oh i would say. I think my sister has gone up a cup size. Va-voom Elaya!"

Elaya glared at him but he just kept bouncing then looked at Sera and clapped his hands. "Oh we do have a thing about contact with Miss Seraphina. So you'll have to let Elaya handle those alright?"

She nodded slowly, completely swept away in the vortex that this man was.

Elaya growled, but moved Sera toward the catalogue on the bed. It was a massive volume filled with invitation and envelope samples. Elaya looked at Sera. "Shall we?"

Daniel was still chattering away, now offering to get Panice actual Japanese silks. her eyes lit up at the idea, then even more with a call out to the servants her produce a whole roll of the stuff. She stared at him in awe and he just grinned.

Elaya was completely lost staring at the invitations. Even her princess training had not covered this. She looked at Sera again, unsure of what to do.

Sera physically winced at the shrill mans voice before smiling as he popped in. So much for alone time. She was polite though and then surprised as she found out he was Elayas brother. He seemed much different then any of her family Sera had met yet. She was relieved when he didn't touch her and started to grin again at the sound of all the preparations still in her hands.

"This is how I wanted it," she admitted to Elaya as she was tugged towards the catalogue, "our wedding. Our choice. Ooooh look at this one. The purple letters look like ribbon. And this one glitters!

She giggled an sat down dragging Elaya with her as she pulled the catalogue on her lap, feeling much happier about this now.

Elaya resisted the pull, her face falling. "Sera...i...i didn't realize.... I'm sorry."

She bit her lip, ignoring her brother as she sat, taking Sera's hands and kissing them. "forgive me?"

Attracted by all the noise, Gerry and Amitiel came in. Daniel saw Gerry and squealed, then rushed him, wrapping the man in a tight hug. Gerry coughed then patted Daniel's back. "Good to see you too Daniel...oooh. wedding stuff."

He tried to pull awya but Daniel pulled him back. "You'll be best man will you not?"

Elaya did not hear too focused on Sera.

Sera looked up a her lover, eyes blinking before she smiled softly, giving Elaya that loving smile only she got.

"You never needed to apologize," she sighed, "I should have said it all a week ago. Of course I forgive you. Now please, sit with me. I'll pick the invitations if you like, and you can just say yay or nay. Oh Gerry, Amitiel come in! We have AMAZING news,"

Sera forgot the book as she jumped up and dragged Elaya over to them. She was bouncing on her heels again in utter excitement at the news.

"I'm pregnant!" She exclaimed, beaming at Elaya as she announced their news, "Elaya and I are goin to have a baby!"

Gerry blinked.

He looked at Elaya, certain it was a joke. She smiled. "And you're guna be godfather. Amitiel-"

"Wouldn't be proper but thank you for the honor. And Congratulations."

Elaya smirked at her fiancee, now looking back at Gerry who stared at them, then whooped. He took Elaya into his arms for a tight hug, then released her to face Sera. he smiled, not touching her. "Well done boss. You two will make great mothers. And yes i'll stand godfather. I'd be honored."

The seamtress squeaked as Elaya drew closer, and Elaya turned. "oh yes. You can start with me."

She stepped onto the woman's stool, and let her measure quickly, repeating back the figures while Amitiel, Daniel, and Gerry all babbled excitedly with Sera.

Finally the Seamtress finished, and Elaya gave a sharp whistle. She crooked a finger at Sera and patted the stool. "Hop up mama. I need to measure you. Gerry sit. Daniel hold up the invitations for Sera to see."

The others obeyed. Amitiel looked at Elaya. "What about me?"

She sighed. "Go visit Lairia. She told the Circle about Versailles. She needs company. Be nice."

Amitiel nodded and left the room, and soon was sitting with Lairia. He had been practicing and foillowed Elaya's advice to just talk on what he knew. So he gave Lairia a history lesson on the various mages, warlocks, and other magic users and their various patrons. Many had worked for lucifer or the other princes, some the various deities, but far more had actually proven virtuous enough to work with the powers of Heaven, and some even the Almighty. His knowledge was encyclopedic.

He did not mention where the others were. As he talked and chatted with her, he rubbed Rhaeghal's fur.

Sera was all smiles at the announcement and their reactions, even allowing Gerry to briefly hug her, although it was so fleeting they barely touched. And only because he was a close friend.

As Elaya got pulled away, Sera kept a keen eye on her like a hawk as she spoke to the men. At first she was fine, that was until she saw the seamstress hand cross Elaya's waist to measure it and she bit back a growl, feeling suddenly the overwhelming want to tear the woman from Elaya. The possessiveness she felt shocked her a bit and she fell quiet, silently glaring at the woman as she began to brim with jealousy that such a woman dared to touch Elaya in such ways, her fingers running across Elaay's legs, then arms...

"I think that's enough," she finally snapped, pushing past the men as Elaya snapped. There was a red hot fire in her eyes as she bristled and very slowly stood on the stool, watching the seamstress all the while. Amitiel skipped out to see Lairia - much to her gratefulness, and it was only Elaya's soft voice and Daniel's smile as he held up the catalogue that kept the Phoenix from breaking into flames. No one touched her wolf. No. One.

Elaya said not a word, just taking Sera's measurements while the now thoroughly cowed seamtress took the figures.

Elaya did take liberties with her Sera, having noticed Sera's glare and reaction, and understanding why without trouble.

While she measured Daniel held up the invitations as instructed, giving Sera the choice on whether to accept or brush them away. But Sera' anger kept her distracted. Finally they finished, with Elaya stealing a long squeeze of Sera's ass, along with a kiss, then she returned the tape and the seamtress left quickly.

Elaya gripped the redhead' waists and lifted her down into another kiss, then lead her to the bed. "now lets choose the invitation, my love."

"yes this one is lovley.. And...." Daniel went on.

Gerry smirked and winked when Elaya caught his eyes. She winked back. Neither were surprised at Sera's reaction. She had proven very possessive of Elaya already, and now that she was pregnant it was sure to increase in intensity.
