Colliding Worlds (BurningWillows & Greeneyed23)

"And I swear it on my love for you, to protect all you hold sacred, dear, and secret. Until my flame is no more," Sera replied.

Hearing a rustling in the bushes she looked up, but only a deer emerged, munching on the grass. Settling back in she sighed and relaxed.

"We should probably focus on the trees and not our tiny bubble," she giggled, "Or else we might get ourselves into more trouble. You may take first sleep baby. I'll wake you when it is my turn."

Elaya's eyes narrowed. "You think i can sleep the first night having you back?"

She kissed the redhead and nipped her lips. "Now hush you. And cuddle with me. i've missed you. Your lips. your body. your arms."

She pulled the redhead closer, and lay her jaw on Sera's shoulder. Her hands were on Sera's middle and chest, not sexually, just holding the woman she loved more than anything else close.

She would not release the hold, or Sera, nor sleep that night.

~

Gerry came out at dawn and yawned with coffee. "Want some coffee boss?"

Elaya didn't drink coffee. She was notorious for it. She hated it. And even while leading Gerry rarely, if ever called her boss.

Sera was content with that. Although while she tried much to do the same, some point late in the night she fell asleep, curled tightly yet adorably into Elaya's arms, tucking her legs in. It had been a long day for her too, from the flight back, to her final growth, to swallowing a ranch. Sera couldn't be blamed for needing a short nap.

When the first ray's of light came she did wake though, opening her eyes to the beautiful image of Elaya watching her and smiling.

"I'm sorry," she yawned, "Your much too comfortable."

Turning at the sound of Gerry's voice she yawned again and stretched, her arms going high as her feet touched the porch and she stood, blinking sleep from her eyes.

"Mmmm coffee," she purred, stepping up to him and taking the cup before pulling him into a rather tight and long hug and whispering, "Thank you. And I'm sorry."

She pulled away and lifted the coffee to her lips, making a loud sipping noise before humming.

"I'm going to miss your coffee Gerry," she sighed, "Elaya told me your plans. I do hope your not leaving do to me?"

Meanwhile in the barn Tatia was stirring, and as she did, so did Lairia. The sorceress had slept as much as she could but in the early morning hours just before the sunrise she was awake and meditating, trying to draw and conserve all her energy. What they were asking of her to do to Tatia was no small job, and if the sorcerer had took his time messing with her, than it would take the same amount of time to fix it all. Or she hoped. But as Tatia woke Lairia stirred from her meditation and casted a spell, locking Tatia within a small invisible box around her bed, keeping her from harm's way. She should have done it the night prior, but it involved Lairia remaining awake, and her energy had been low then. Now she could, and as the spell settled, Lairia stood and dusted off her clothes before stepping out of the barn.

"Morning," she smiled to the three of them, "Don't worry, Tatia can't go anywhere. Just going to grab a coffee I heard Sera boasting about."

As she passed she touched Gerry's shoulder and added softly, "When you are done with the girl's, could you meet me in the barn please?"

Passing by she found her way to the kitchen and made herself a snack along with one for Tatia, then grabbed her coffee and let the cat's out. The bounced around and purred at her feet as she led them back to the barn, where Ebony promptly bolted for Tatia's lap. The barrier let things in, luckily, and Ebony slipped right through, as did the plate of food as Lairia set it down next to her.

"Eat something please."

Gerry smiled, hugging her back, then sipped his coffee before answering. "Nope. i've been the slow one on this team for too long. And I've broken bones, been stabbed, shot, beaten and all sorts of other things. And Sera...I'm 56 years old."

For the first time his age was truly apparent. His hair, growing back in now, was solid grey. There were lines and crags in his face that had not been present before, and certainly not from her flames.

He smiled at her. "I've known this was coming for a long time Sera. I want to retire, and go be with my family. Maybe I'll even let them turn me. Someone says i have to stick around."

Elaya growled as she sipped some juice. "Damn right boy."

He smiled and sipped his coffee then winked at Sera. "i worry for you. She get's really needy when she doesn't have me to bitch at."

Elaya flicked an acorn at him and he dodged it smiling.

~

Amitiel watched Lairia silently, hidden in the shadows. He did not and would not speak.

He was very troubled by Tatia's state and her dreams. he had not pried, but he could still...feel them. His friend needed help.

And though he held no anger at Lairia, he was an angel, he did worry that she might not be up to the task of rescuing her from the depths of her own mind.

Sera smiled and laughed, but there was a touch of sadness to it. The group was getting smaller and smaller. Once this contract was over, who was left? Elaya and the duo, Amitiel and Narxis? Elaya seemed hopeful over this new girl but Sera had hardly met her, and she didn't feel right letting just anyone into the team. Perhaps this was the start of the end. What a great leader I am...

~

Tatia growled at the food and threw the plate, which hit the barrier and splattered across it. Ebony jumped and growled before settling again. Rhaegal's keen eyes watched it all from the loft, having clambered up there to laze about in the sun.

"I didn't poison it if that's your worry Tatiana," Lairia sighed, "I wanted you to have something in your stomach."

Tatia just glared, still being unable to speak. Still if glares could kill, Tatia's would be the first, and Lairia was sure she had plenty to say back. Abandoning her food, she drank back her coffee and sighed.

"Will you eat anything I bring?" she asked and Tatia just wrinkled her nose, which was hardly an answer.

Sighing, she gave up on Tatia and returned to her meal. She wasn't going to baby the girl, and she couldn't do any work on her till they made camp somewhere and settled. Sera made it clear they were leaving today, and from what Lairia could expect, this was no small project.

Elaya stood and actually pinched Sera's ass. "Babe. Life moves on. Now c'mon. We got stuff to do."

She hopped off the porch, grinning playfully while Gerry mused aloud. "ya know...you too are so annoyingly adorable i wanna drown ya both." he walked inside while Elaya giggled at the joke.

~

Amitiel said not a word. Instead he stood up, walked over to Tatia, smiled sweetly, and flicked the barrier.

It rang and she passed out instantly. He looked at Lairia. "It's an angel trick."

He walked out of the barn. "Sera? What's the plan?"

Sera yipped at the pinch, turning to look at Elaya with a grin.

"Behave," she laughed.

As Amitiel came out Sera clapped her hands, trying to get back into the swing of things, "Yes. Plan. Pack up, we are heading out. Good enough?"

Jeziah appeared in the doorway, laughing, "There's my bossy sister. Great plan Sera."

He stepped forward and hugged her hard as she looked up, "Leaving?"

"Yeah..."

They said their goodbyes then Jeziah moved to Elaya, wrapping her in a hug, "Stay safe, alright? And wreck havoc."

He laughed and kissed her forehead before heading into the field, turning into his true form and flying high into the sky. For a moment Sera stood still, watching her brother disappear before returning her focus to the task at hand.

"Amitiel, I need you to run to town and grab Kai...and his erm, girl," Sera smiled, "I would like a proper farewell with him. Rythert, if you wish to help, can you round up our group's belongings and bring them to the porch? Gerry and Elaya, can you make sure proper payment is made to the farm. I want us to leave by noon, at the lastest. Lairia..."

She pulled Lairia to the side, casting a glance at the barn, "Moving her will not be easy will it?"

"The longer she is like this, the harder it will become yes. And its hard to keep her restrained."

"What do you need?"

"Somewhere quiet and alone, where we cannot be bothered. Not to mention all of your aid. He's altered her memories, I'm sure of it. But without knowing what her memories used to be, I cannot fix them."

Sera nodded, that made sense.

"What if we can find somewhere isolated near the city Narxis fled to? We can camp there, and those who need to go into the city can go when not needed."

Lairia nodded, "That would work."

"Now...can you teleport her?"

Lairia grimaced. Teleportation was no easy spell, and doing it for herself was hard enough. But it also made things quicker. The problem was without knowing where they were going, Lairia could not do the spell. It was why she had to walk to Ocean City.

"I haven't been to the nearest city. I-"

"I understand. I'll ask Amitiel to fly her and find camp, we can catch up."

"Alright."

Lairia left to pack her only things and Sera sat on the porch, taking a breath of relief. Everything was going to be okay. She just had to keep reminding herself.

Elaya smirked. "pack? babe?"

She grabbed Sera's face and kissed her softly."The only one who actually has gear besides Lairia is Gerry and he's packed."

She nipped the redhead's nose. "And Narxis didn't flee. he's rescuing. Arya just doesn't know it. Also we will have to go to lodestone. Reno cannot leave the city limits. I can run you there if you want." She smiled and kissed the lips she loved so much. "By the way. Adore you."

She kissed her again then went into the barn. She studied Tatia for a moment, then checked the barn. They had everything out of the barn, and the marks were no longer on the walls or floor.

She sighed, then went to the siren, picked her up and took her out into the yard, and lay her in a water trough, and let some water run into it and over the girl. She knew all too well the girl hadn't eaten. She needed some kind of sustenance.

Sera opened her mouth than snapped it shut, not knowing what else to say. Again she had thrown her foot in her mouth. Sitting on the porch, she let the group do as they needed, deciding it might be best if she just waited for when Elaya needed her to go.

Elaya giggled when she saw Sera and moved to the girl and this time sat on her lap. "baby you really need to stop doubting yourself."

She leaned in and kissed her deeply, then cupped her face. "By the way. Did I mention this to you?" She kissed her again. "The group stayed together out of respect for you. Because they love you. You know Narxis is always looking for an advantage. And Amitiel could have ditched the moment you were gone. He's getting really homesick. But they stayed. For you."

She kissed the woman softly. "They stayed because this group is a family. Because of you. You hear me?" her eyes flared.

She flicked her chin toward Tatia. "That little girl is alive, solely because of you. Don't doubt that just because you are still remembering. You died. Rebirthed. Came back to us. We'd be shocked if you did just fall right into it with omniscient knowledge. What has us all thrown off is the loss of two of our own. Kai is leaving, but he isn't dead. But the other two...and we never got to mourn them. Because we were waiting for you."

She kissed the redhead once more. "Seraphina...will you say something about Drea and Rey? I was too busy keeping everyone, including your young self alive to ever really do it. Do that. say goodbye. Then we can move on in truth."

She smiled her eyes glowing with that purple infuse love light only Sera could bring out.

Elaya always knew what to say. To make Sera's stomach unclench and a soft smile pull at her lips. She burrowed her face in Elaya's neck, hiding her hot pink cheeks in embarrassment of having such doubtful thoughts.

"You know I'm terrible with speeches," she whispered, holding Elaya to her face like a shield hiding her crimson red cheeks now, "You and Amitiel are good at those..."

She really didn't want to make any more of a fool of herself. She had been blundering up since the night before, and she'd rather hide her head and let everyone do their own thing than get those odd, accusing looks again that she was still out of it.

"Maybe you can write it down for me and I'll just read it," she whispered.

~

Meanwhile Lairia sat in the barn, her things packed, and not much else to do. Without Tatia to talk to...or Rey, Lairia was finally feeling the brunt of how alone she was yet again within the group. While Sera had been growing, Elaya had been rather kind to her, and Lairia had even opened up about the loss of Annabelle. But now Elaya had Seraphina. and the group was all shuffling around doing, well whatever it was they were doing, and Lairia had nothing more than to sit and wait. It was rather depressing, and after a minute she decided to try and meditate, in hopes it would pass the morning quickly.

Elay shook her head and pulled Sera's head out of her neck. "No baby. You don't suck at speeches. You always say the right thing. Because it comes from your heart. And i have another secret for you. That's why I love you. You are beautiful. And Sexy. And a warrior unparalleled, but it had always been your heart that drew me to you. You took in Kai and Tatia. You helped Lairia when no one else would have."

She patted the woman's cheek. "You go eat. And i mean that. Go eat. Gerry is paying the farmers. Thank them, say goodbye to the kids, you did play with them some, then let's go. We'll go see Reno and Kai. And then you say something. Just talk about your friendship with Drea. And how much Rey annoyed you. Whatever you need to say. Cry. Scream. Give us a path to our own sorrow. Now go on Seraphina."

She kissed her lover and stood. "I need to see to something."

She smiled, winked at her lover and walked into the barn. She marched right up to Lairia, then sat in front of her. "So. Let's talk."

Sera sighed, really wishing she didn't have to. The compliments were nice but Elaya knew Sera's weaknesses were people, and speeches fell into that category. Sometimes it still boggled her that she made it this far as a leader, but it was less on her personal skills and more on her fighting stance she was sure. Of course Sera could be soft on her group, it was her way, but emotions was something she had a hard time showing.

Grumbling under her breath, Sera marched inside for breakfast, none too pleased about the upcoming speech she suddenly needed to prepare.

~

Meanwhile Lairia was busy meditating when Elaya plopped down, startling the sorceress with her statement. Both eye popped open and she leaned back slightly, worried.

"Talk? About what? Did I do something Elaya?"

"nope. Just thought you might be feeling left out. Amitiel and you are fighting, much as he does with anyone. tatia is out. The Rythert,..well no. Sera and you never really connected. Gerry doesn't talk.Narxis is off chasing the girl, and Kai...well Kai is gone and he's Kai. You and I...i thought we had become friends. So i wanted to check on you. How are you doing?"

She smiled.

~

The farmers greeted Sera with the meal. Then they spoke. "Miss? We overheard the last thing Miss Elaya said. And you really should say something. Not a speech though." They sat on either side of her and gently touched her wrists. "Just tell them how sad you are that Duldrea and Reynault are gone. That's all. Your's is a race nearly extinct. We can relate. Let that guide you. And don't try to impress them. Just let your feelings flow. The words will come."

Lairia was a little surprised at Elaya's kindness and smiled, "Oh. Well thank you Elaya. I'm alright but wait, Amitiel and I are fighting? I did not know. Did I do something?"

She had been a little cross with him the night before, but Lairia had just wanted to get a point across.

"I apologize if I did. I am, fine. Worried about Tatiana. Her state is no easy one, and it will be hard on her and me to fix. But in time it will be done."

~

Sera smiled and thanked them for her meal, hoping to get away to a quiet place and think, mull over everything she needed to now know and soon say. So it surprised her when they touched her wrists and she jumped, her skin turning hot in a flash. She jumped up before anything could catch fire, uttering apologies as she dropped her food on the coffee table and fled the house, racing into the field where she couldn't burn anything.

"Relax before you kill someone," she snapped at herself, on edge. Looking up she noticed Rythert and Gerry had seen her fleeing for the fields and was watching her now. She spoke up, putting her hands out in warning, "Just...everything is fine. Don't send anyone out here."

Turning away she continued to grumble and mutter to herself in annoyance, trying to calm the flame within her. Why was everyone so suddenly...emotional today? Why were they all pushing her to speak about memories that only hurt? She'd rather be bashing heads together then talking about any of this.

The longer she thought the hotter her temperature rose, her skin turning flame red as she tried and failed to calm. The more she thought about Rey and Drea, the more she wished she had that evil man who had killed them in front of her. She would tear his arms off, limb from limb, before dousing him with fire, listening to his screams and...

Her eyes caught the sight of the crowd growing at the porch, all looking rather worried. Looking down, she hadn't realize she had been pacing, and the ground beneath her was scorched in a long line across the field, easily ten feet long.

"I'm sorry," she called, "Just got wrapped up in my head. I think I'll walk to Lodestone and meet you all there."

While Seraphina saw nothing wrong in her actions as she left, those that had witnessed, at least those that knew her longest like Gerry and Amitiel would have. There was something off about Sera, something colder and angrier in her walk and in her eyes. Elaya wouldn't have seen it being in the barn, but soon enough both women could smell the burnt grass and Lairia led Elaya out of the barn to inspect.

"What happened?!" Lairia asked, seeing the scorch marks even from the barn.

Elaya laughed. "Im teasing Lairia. Truly lighten up. Seriously How are you feeling?"

She was waiting on the answer when the smell and the noise caught her attention.

When they went out Elaya needed only one glance. "Shit. Ok everyone. Say goodbye." She hugged the farmers and the kids. "Our group. get to Lodestone to say goodbye to Kai."

She smiled, dropped another purse of gold into the farmer's hands, then took off after her lover.

She was easy to catch and find. "Sera? Sweety? What's going on? This can't be about saying goodbye. What has your fire lit?"

Lairia relaxed, "Oh. Oh I'm sorry. Well that's good Amitiel isn't upset. Perhaps I should relax a touch. I guess I'm just a little tense with worrying over Tatia."

Their conversation was short lived and suddenly it was Elaya giving orders again and no one blinked twice before they got to moving. Lairia slung her bag over her shoulder and helped get Tatia ready for Amitiel to transport. Then she found the kittens and made sure they were accounted for before waiting for the rest of the group to be ready. All too soon they were all on their way, and Lairia could feel the relief slipping in that they could finally move forward.

~

Meanwhile Elaya had run ahead and caught Seraphina yet again by surprise who turned and jumped, and the nearest tree burst into spontaneous combustion, crackling and groaning as it burnt.

"Shit," she snapped, and the flame went out but Sera's body was still radiating heat, making the grass beneath her bare feet wilter and burn away. Even her hair showed it, the red in it fiery and glowing.

"I'm fine," she claimed, holding her hands out to stop Elaya, "Please, I just...need a minute. I can't deal with any more emotions."

Her hands lit on fire and she quickly blew them out, cursing some more, "Just...just go back to the group Elaya. I'm fine....I'm...fuck!"

She swore so loud the birds in the trees took off as she kicked the burnt tree, sending it up in flames again.

'Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! I should have been there! I should have protected them! I should have done more! I should have ripped that man's soul apart piece by piece, and sent every inch of him through a grinder for killing my friends I should have..."

She was practically yelling all of this, in a rage never quite seen before. Sera was known to have temperament problems, but they were often justified, and she normally calmed especially when Elaya was around. But Sera had never wanted such pain to be inflicted on someone before. She had no idea that Elaya had seen this kind of anger once before already, two days prior. When Octavia died. Now the effects of her oldest friend's death was coming to light, and Sera had never acted or spoken so harshly about revenge in her life.

"I can't even think about their souls resting if that son of a bitch's soul gets rest too!" she yelled, and a second tree burst into flames, "I shouldn't have let him die. He should be suffering. They all should be suffering!"

Elaya watched her lover calmly. When she had boiled down a little bit, the werewolf spoke.

"Seraphina my love have you forgotten what Narxis is?"

She kicked a rock and it struck the tree, splintering the trunk, and making it fall beside them.

She stayed back her hands up. "Nickens is being personally attended to in Hell, along with his golem's souls, by Lucifer, Leviathan, and the other princes. He reneged on a number of deals with them by dying. Narxis already confirmed this before the battle ever started, and again after. They are being tortured endlessly in ways even we cannot surpass. And Drea is at peace with her husband. And Rey is in heaven. Along with Octavia. They are in paradise, safe and sound. Amitiel saw to it, and gave me his word. You know he never lies."

She fell silent, letting the Phoenix feel and do as she wanted. but she would not leave. She could not. Her Seraphina was in pain. She could feel it. And she would not abandon the woman in such a state. And of course the fire didn't bother her. She liked it actually. it was more than good to have Seraphina back.

"That's not enough!" she snapped, not even sure what she wanted now. She was just...angry, "I want him! I want to hurt him! He deserves a million deaths from all he took from us! AH!"

She screamed again and the ground shook, the volcano in the distance rumbling in. Her anger was getting out of hand.

"That...that..." she was lost for words, her skin breathing fire, "that asshole doesn't deserve hell's finest. A blunt knife and my fire can torture him for eternity in ways Lucifer himself wouldn't dream!"

She was finally standing still now, raging as she was, her body up in flames as she stared at Elaya. It took many minutes before her flame began to retract and she resembled herself again, her chest heaving with anger. The clothes she had borrowed from Elaya were torched, leaving them in ragged ruins on her body, but she cared little for looks. Besides, she knew Elaya carried more.

"I don't want to cry over their deaths," she seethed, "I want to make everyone who did them wrong hurt. I want them to suffer. Like I am. I want them to know how much it hurts."

Elaya slowly came forward and gently cupped the redhead's face. "Baby. He is hurting. He's paying a thousand times a second for everything he did. He's been torn apart piece by piece then left to suffer as he heals for it to happen again."

She smiled now. "You? With a blunt knife? How sloppy darling. You can do better than that. Now come along."

She gently took the woman's hand and tugged her along the path.

She knew this would both annoy and mystify the Phoenix so she waited a touch, until she could feel Sera getting irritated, then she spoke. "I have a thought. What if we do what you are saying. Go track down the people who hurt our friends. Together."

She kissed Sera's knuckles, then ran a loving touch over the wrist. "If we do we can travel the world. Call it our honeymoon."

She began to humming the wedding march. "Of course you have to marry me first." She looked off into the distance, then suddenly whirled and pressed Sera against a large stone, her fingertips under the Phoenix's jaw. "Whatcha say babe? Let's go say goodbye to Kai, Drea and Rey, then we get our butts after Narxis, then on to Ocean City. Then We go north. Get married. And go hunting. Just you and me. After you do your duty on our wedding night."

She grinned then fluttered her eyeslashes before speaking in a pretty good Southern accent. "I do declare Miss Seraphina aims to sully my virtue."

Her eyes flashed red and she grinned, her teeth now wolf fangs. "C'mon darling. You and me. We finish this up then we go hunting."

Sera was indeed...stumped. As Elaya took her hand all thoughts of revenge washed away as she blinked at the soft touch of her lover, following without hesitation. With Elaya, everything felt...right. Normal. Safe. The anger washed away, and her breath came out in a long sigh before her partner spoke again.

"Yeah..." she sighed, still almost in a trance, listening to Elaya hum, her fingers brushing her skin, "We should get married outside."

It was obvious her thoughts had trailed off course, as was probably Elaya's plan. Sera clung to her, holding her as she rocked back in forth in step, like they were waltzing.

"We can do it all," she whispered, closing her eyes and sighing, her body cooling down, "We can be together always."

Elaya poked the woman in the middle. "Now that does require one rule."

She narrowed an eye as she glared at Sera. "You can't make fun of my dog breath."

She grinned and kissed the redhead, then linked their arms and hand. "Now my love. Shall we away and bid a fond and loving farewell to our shapeshifting companion?" She giggled playfully, almost dancing as well. She could truly not be happier until the wedding itself.

Elaya had calmed the Phoenix considerably, a feat only Elaya could achieve. Even Jeziah could not have, and if he had been here he would have been stunned at the easiness Elaya did so. Smiling, all anger gone now, Sera nodded and whispered, "Promise. And yes, let's."

When they joined the group at the edge of town all eye's turned on Sera and she hesitated in her walk, gripping Elaya's hand hard. In some ways she hadn't fully grown back into herself. She still felt off, still felt a little on the outside of things. Elaya seemed to make it easier though, and after the pause she kept going, putting on a softer face as they approached.

"Sorry everyone, I was just having a moment," she exclaimed quietly before turning to Kai, praying she could change the topic, "So my little Malakai has grown up without me?"

Kai laughed, "I guess we both did some growing in the last couple weeks. Hope you aren't mad."

"Of course not," she smiled, pulling him in for a hug, "Just behave yourself, and be good to the beautiful lady."

She smiled and nodded her head to Reno, "I'm glad he's found someone."

She stepped back letting the other's say their goodbyes as Sera sought Elaya's calming touch again, holding her hand and leaning in to whisper, "I'm sorry for the scene I caused."

Elaya smirked and nibbled her neck. "keep apologizing and I'll require a kiss for every one."

Her eyes danced, then fell on Gerry. He was standing next to a small stone with a waterfall and two named etched into the stone. Duldrea and Reynault, side by side.

Reno spoke when she noted the werewolf's eyes. "Reynault wound up saving this town, and Duldrea...welll she did a lot behind the scenes. We wanted to honor her. They have shrines in the churches as well. So do all of you. Thank you."

She smiled a bit unsure. She had dressed more modestly because Kai had warned her not to irritate Sera or Elaya, who she was clearly intimidated by.

Elaya smiled understanding why. Reno was a powerful magic user but she couldn't touch something like Sera, and Elaya doubted she could stop the wolf before she created all sorts of trouble. She nodded at the sheriff and moved to Kai last of all. She hugged him then kissed his cheek. "You be good. Especially to this nice lady. And remember. You are pack. That means something Malakai." She hugged him again, then moved to Rey and Drea's marker, kissing it gently.

She looked at Sera, awaiting orders, as did the others.

"Then a kiss is what you will get."

Their attentions turned to Reno and Kai, and Sera too noticed the small stone. While Elaya spoke to Reno she slipped closer to it and knelt, stretching a hand out and touching the stone just underneath their names.

"I'm sorry," she whispered, "For not being there, and not protecting you. For the day we meet again."

Pulling her hand back there was no a blackened handprint on the stone, a mark of Sera's. Standing, she bit her lip and walked a little further from the group, feeling that edge of anger seeping back in, mixed with the pain of their loss. She didn't see their eyes looking at her, as she couldn't turn to look at them. Not yet.

When she finally could turn it was only to pull both Reno and Kai into a hug before she grabbed Elaya's hand hard and tugged her forward.

"I need to go," she choked out finally, her voice somewhere between a sob and a growl. The group began moving, but Sera continued to look back at the stone, saddened truly, wanting to cry and scream, and everything in between.

"I'll miss them," she whispered, leaning her head on Elaya's shoulders, "I'll miss my friends."
