Colliding Worlds (BurningWillows & Greeneyed23)

Arya head turned back to Elaya and Octavia saw the glint in her eye.

"Three forces?" Octavia asked, "If your people can handle the first attack, I can aid you for the other two."

"No."

Octavia swung to look at Arya who was glaring at Elaya, "She stole thirty-three kills from me. If she plans on taking on those forces, then I will take thirty-three of them. I will take the kills Elaya had planned to take. Then we are even. Blood must have blood."

She looked to Octavia, "I will take the farthest one, and allow your shooters to focus here. I do not need help."

"You never do," Octavia sighed, "Then I will stay with Lady Elaya and help her with the second. Is that fair m'lady?"

Elaya's eyebrow arched but she nodded. "Very well. Though we only have the one shooter."

She turned and spoke into her comm unit. "Amitiel, Narxis, keep the escape routes blocked, but stay near the fires. Keep their sources safe."

"Confirmed."

Elaya turned to Octavia. "Do you want to station here and pick them off as they arrive? I am going to run up from behind for the middle group. Forgive me but you likely can't keep up with me."

Arya nodded, taking Elaya's word as a go ahead and racing into the trees, quickly disappearing. Octavia turned, looking calm and waited until Elaya spoke to her than nodded.

"As I said before, I wish to help you. You said they were the strongest, so my blade and your fang should defeat them."

She looked out over towards one of the higher hills, easily seen even through the trees, "This second team is passing through the forest yes? Then they will be nearing that hill. I can make it to the top and distract them, then come down and attack head on. You said you could get behind them. As I distract the front, you attack from behind and we herd them inwards, and they will not realize it till its too late. Is that a fair plan m'lady?"

Octavia had rarely dealt in battles or war, but she wanted to aid as she could and she wanted to be helpful for Elaya. If the wolf told her it be easier for her to stay she would, although she would rather fight with Elaya than hide within a barn. Even as they spoke, Arya would be dancing past the first two groups unnoticed and heading towards the third. Octavia did not doubt Arya could take on thirty alone, confident in her partner to finish what needed to be done.

Elaya smiled. "No my lady. i want you to stay here on the hill here."

She gestured at the hill. "Gerry is not at his best. He can shoot but I only want him killing other snipers. I need someone here to pick off the other attacks close to the barn and house. That will be you. kai is not a fighter. Go to the barn if you need to but this hill will be the problem. It's too close to everything to be left unguarded. I have the other group. Do not worry."

She sighed. "Forgive this My Lady but you cannot compete with my speed. But more importantly i cannot assume there aren't shooters in the other groups who won't kill you if you go out in the open. Good luck. You have two minutes." She shifted and gave the woman a comm unit, even helping her putting it on.

Gerry spoke into the woman's ear. "Very nice to meet you My Lady. I'll watch your back if you will take care of mine."

Elaya smiled and shifted into the hulking wolf form and with a bow she was off.

Gerry spoke again. "My lady i am going to ignore formality for a time. There is a boulder fifty feet up the hill from you that will supply excellent cover. There is a small opening beneath it, but do as you like. Do be careful though. Some of these attackers include exiled Metuzi and other weres. Don't know if that is a problem for you but they are very skilled fighters. Do take care."

~

Amitiel and Narxis had drawn back and were helping encourage Seraphina to ensure she kept her flames burning hot and bright.

~

Elaya rolled on deep into the forest, tearing apart the scouts and trappers who were not truly part of any of the groups, save those nearest the lowest group, knowing now not to get near Arya's kills.

As she went she eventually eliminated the scouts, snipers, climbers and others, then began to eat into the group proper, beginning with the slowest, soon having killed twenty of them, already having tripled her day's kills. Thirty two more remained and she began to eat into them as well.

Only the quickest reached the forest edge, unaware that a living shadow had been slaying their fellows. Five persons, all five Metuzi exiles, stopped at the edge of the forest. They were startled to be so alone and started to turn when Elaya leapt in amongst them and tore them apart. Running them down one by one with her speed was both easy and quick.

She then broke into the open on purpose, intentionally trying to draw fire from the other groups.

~

About this time the other groups reached their targets, thirty six at Octavia's position, while forty five more, and seven support personnel went toward Arya.

Octavia remained stiff while Elaya evaded her personal space to put on the mechanical item. She didn't quite understand it, as since the Crush she had returned to almost a medieval state of mind. Jumping at the sound of Gerry's voice she clawed at the device, but it would not come off.

"I do not like this," she snapped, shaking her head hard, "It hurts my ear which will be no use to my senses. Why would someone use such a thing?"

She did as she was told though, not normally a follower, but she felt out of her depth. Listening and following their advice she got to where she was needed and launched her own attack, killing as many as she could until none more came. Wiping her blade on her sleeve she sheathed it and hiked down to where the phoenix's were, wanting to make sure they were alright.

~

Jeziah was the source of most of the flame, although Seraphina helped as she could. But with all that was happening the girl was unfocused and scared, and rightfully so. Even with encouragement she kept jumping at the sound of noise. Finally Jeziah pulled her into his arms, creating a ring of fire that billowed high above them.

"I got you sis," he murmured, kissing the top of her head, "As long as we are in here, nothing can harm us."

~

"The battle is over Jeziah," she yelled, as she approached, being careful not to touch the flame, "We are safe. Where are the two Lady Elaya sent?"

The fire immediately extinguished, making a loud hiss noise as it funneled back into Jeziah. Beside her Amitiel and Narxis landed, looking pleased.

"We should all return to the farm," Octavia nodded, choosing to lead the way, "This way."

Within minutes the five of them were back at the ranch, waiting on the others to return.

Elaya went to the the lower field and smile seeing Octavia escorting the Phoenixes toward the barn, and the pixies returning, while she ducked into the forest, looking for Arya and her victims.

"Lady Arya?"

She walked carefully, her nose on full alert, along with the rest of her senses.

~

Gerry was asleep went everyone returned, all the activity too much for him. he slept fitfully but deeply, some of his bandages now bloody.

Upon returning, Seraphina and Jeziah went to look after Gerry, at Jeziah's request of course, while Octavia followed Elaya into the woods.

"Lady Elaya!" she called, hearing Elaya calling for Arya, "You may not want to do that."

She quickened her pace till she was beside her, "It isn't wise to go off alone right after battle, especially when you have so many counting on you. If you wish to find Arya, I will accompany you. I know how to find her."

Elaya smiled. "Come along then. But I want to be sure the attackers are dead. i'm not losing anyone else."

She stalked the area, still sniffing the ground and air carefully.

"You won't smell her," Octavia said after watching Elaya walk around sniffing the ground, "You can't, not always. Definitely not now, as I cannot pick up a scent of her. But I can smell the blood. C'mon."

Octavia led the way now, picking through the trees, careful not to step in any of the bodies strewn about from the fight. As they got closer they could hear more of it now. The sounds of men screaming in agony, of bones breaking and flesh ripping. But as they grew close the sounds seemed to end, and the forest was filled with a eery silence.

Stepping out into a clearing, they could see why. The grass had been flattened with the blood of the fallen. Even the trees around the clearing were smeared in it. Body parts lay everywhere, soaked in the blood they lay on. The bodies themselves lay in a heap in the middle of the clearing, piled high. Octavia put a hand out, stopping Elaya. She could hear rustling and turning her head just slight could see Amitiel and Narxis coming up behind them, obviously there for Elaya.

"Don't," she warned quietly, telling them not to take another step. It was not the blood or the bodies of which she worried about. It was the naked girl on the very top of the pile, who lay there soaked in the blood of those she had slain, gorging herself on a human heart.

"Arya," Octavia rose her hands as she stepped forward, "It's just me."

Arya's eyes glowed red as she looked over them all, sitting on top of her makeshift throne, "About time. I started to worry."

Standing she stepped down, the sounds of skulls cracking and bones breaking under her boots echoing loudly around them. She swallowed the last of the heart in her hand and began to lick her fingers, seemingly unfazed by the blood dripping from her hair and streaking down her face. As she stepped closer she knelt quickly beside a body left untouched except for a missing arm and her hand rose high then flashed forward, nails breaking skin as she reached within his chest. As she pulled her hand out she held another heart, that she brought to her lips and ate greedily.

"Werewolf heart," she hummed, kicking the exiled Metuzi into the heap and then returning to the top, sitting back down to enjoy her meal, as she swept her hand out at the carnage around her, "Thirty kills. I am owed three more."

"Narxis get Lady Arya three more. I see space for missing persons."

Narxis blinked but nodded then flew off.

Amitiel still had his sword out. "I do not find this prudent Elaya."

Elaya growled. "Behave Amitiel."

Elaya gestured at the mess. "Lady Octavia i have to ask. Does this have to remain? The farmers will want to use this land soon."

She carefully did not gesture or speak to Arya yet. Her fur was on end, and her eyes narrowed. She had stolen thirty three kills and had met many who would demand revenge for it.

Narxis arrived bearing six bound attackers. "i was forced to kill five more. Lady Arya?"

He released them. They were still armed and unhurt, but clearly scared. For a wonder they aimed their weapons at Octavia. Elaya moved between them instinctively, while the two angels drew back, unsure what to do.

Octavia turned to Elaya's question and held up a finger to her lips, gesturing that now was not the time within Arya's presence. When the girl got like this, angering her could easily become a fatal mistake.

Arya had begun to climb off her pile as Narxis landed, smiling wickedly at the six men he produced. Her eyes danced as she watched them look around, already afraid. They could see the death around them, and she could smell the fear in them. Suddenly one aimed his gun at Octavia and the other six followed suit, two more with guns, the other three with swords. A vicious, unearthly growl left Arya's throat, resonating deep within her and making all six men jump and turn to look at her.

"Bad move," she snarled, her teeth dripping blood as her sharp canines gleamed. Her hair looked black from being wet with the blood of her kills, sticking to her face, shoulders and neck as it fell it grimy strings. She stepped over a body, her bare feet squishing into the blood soaked mud. It was almost an rhythmic dance how she moved, one foot carefully in front of the other, her body swaying as she went. As she got closer their weapons turned on her but she did not flinch, nor even seem fazed by them.

"You brought me six," her eyes flashed to Narxis, "Aren't you a sweetheart."

One of the men closest to Elaya with a sword suddenly dashed forward, his weapon aimed at her. He barely made it a step and Arya was in front of him, the blade sliding through her stomach. And yet she did not wince, nor double over. She stood there, looking him dead in the eye as she brandished the sword and slowly pulled it out. It came out coated black, her blood thick and dark as night.

"Only a coward strikes those they have no fight with," she hissed, pressing the blade to his throat. His skin hissed at the touch of her blood, almost as if it was acidic and he let out a feeble bubbling moan. With a quick motion she drew the blade back and then threw it down, slicing through his foot and into the ground, pinning his leg in spot. The man screamed then, the pain immense as she half-turned to Elaya.

"He wished for a fight with you," she bowed her head, "He is your kill, not mine. Octavia..."

The dragonling did not hesitate, as she unsheathed her blade and in one fluid movement cut down the first man who had aimed his weapon at her. He crumpled, his body twitching as a gurgling sound left his mouth, death slowly embracing him.

"My kill," Octavia breathed, looking to Arya. She had continued her rhythmic walk towards Narxis, her eyes still glowing a bright red. Up close any could see the white's in her eyes had turned black, giving her a demonic look. As she approached him her hand reached up and she snaked a single finger down his jaw to his chin, leaving a trail of blood on his skin as she turned his face to look at her.

"You may have one also, since you brought me six. I only need three."

Her hand swept to the last four who had begun to back away from the group and clump together. He chose the one on the right with the sword, leaving her two with their flimsy guns, and the last swordsmen. With a wicked smile she pushed past Amitiel as she circled them, her eyes glowing brighter with the prospect of three more kills.

"Fuck this," one of them cried, then turned and fled into the woods. The other two took one look at their comrade fleeing, then at her, and chose to run too.

"Let's hunt," she growled, and suddenly bounded forward, light and nimble on her feet as she disappeared into the trees leaving the group and their two remaining living kills waiting. Seconds later a howl rang through the trees, but it was no howl heard before. It was not that of a wolf, or a dog's, but something quite unearthly. It sounded like death itself as it rang around them, the sound drawing feelings of fear and terror into the weakest heart's.

Octavia's eyes scanned the trees, waiting. She knew Arya would come back to her nest, probably with her three kills in tow. Silently she waited for her partner to reveal herself, wondering what the group would think when she returned.

Narxis looked at Elaya.

She grunted and he hurled a large ugly hammer at the man, and he exploded in a gout of blood as it smashed through him. He brought the hammer back as Elaya studied her screaming foe.

She sighed. "Not much of a kill."

Amitiel sniffed but she ignored him as she stepped forward his paw on his head, and with another scream his skull collapsed the blood jetting onto the ground.

She then looked back Octavia while Narxis joined them. Elaya stretched. "Would she be upset if I lay down?"

Octavia waited until their kills were dealt with before shaking her head to Elaya, "No. I'd advise you stay close m'lady. She's coming. Look."

Sure enough around them the clearing had began to grow dark, as if the sun was hidden and yet it stood high in the sky. Dark tendrils of smoke began to appear around the edge of the clearing, dancing around and shifting. If they looked at it though it seemed to disappear, only able to see it within the corner of their eyes. Octavia stood closer to Elaya, her sword still in hand and raised. Seconds later one of the men raced into the clearing, his sleeve shredded and soaked in blood as he stumbled over a body and looked around wildly.

"How?!" he yelled at them, spotting the group, "How am I back here?"

His question was answered by a menacing growl from the bushes he had bolted from and the shadows around them grew thicker. Taking a step back he shook his head wildly, horrified.

"No...no...why choose me? There are two more. Choose them!"

Slowly from the bushes a creature stepped out. It was black as night with glowing red eyes and teeth so sharp and white they gleamed. It was not a large creature compared to Elaya's wolf size, but it still stood easily at four feet tall, with long, toned legs and what looked to be a shaggy coat. But on closer look they could see it wasn't actual fur but more shadow's, swirling and clinging to the demonic creature. It slunk forward, letting out another growl that made even Octavia's skin crawl.

"That is Arya," she whispered, looking to see their reactions. In front of them, the man was whimpering now, his hands shaking as he raised his weapon and shot at her. Each bullet whizzed right through her and she didn't even flinch, her large paws taking one step then another.

Suddenly she lunged.

The man screamed as he fell, her teeth tearing into his arm and ripping through it. Limb by limb she shredded through muscle and bone, throwing the limbs at her pile until she reached his neck. Drooling over him as he screamed in pain she bite into his neck and shook her head viciously, breaking through and effectively killing him with a snap of his neck. With the group, Octavia held a finger up to her lips, telling them to all remain silent and unmoving. When Arya was like this, it was hard for her bloodlust to differentiate between allies and enemies.

As the man died the creature's body surged and grew bigger, the shadows expanding. They expanded until she was twice her size then suddenly shrank, becoming smaller and smaller until they faded and in their place a very human Arya knelt over the dead man, her hand reaching into his chest and pulling out his heart.

"Arya..." Octavia called out tentatively, unsure if her friend was truly back.

Red glowing eyes shot to look at her, fresh blood on her face as she ate the heart. Swallowing the last piece she stood slowly, and the glow in her eyes slowly faded until she almost looked human again.

Elaya was impressed.

Narxis had started to move. Not in fear or anger. But with longing.

Elaya's hand snapped out and gripped his wrist.

Anyone else might have died for that. But when his blackened eyes snapped toward her she had just smiled and mouthed. "Not yet my friend."

He had glared, but then relented when her eyes had softened. He sighed then looked back to the naked Arya. he wanted her. He had never wanted anything so bad in his life.

Elaya had a feeling she knew who and what this woman was but would not assume.

She also had her other hand pointing surreptitiously at Amitiel. He was not to move, speak, or so much as twitch right now. Now matter what or how he felt, this woman had just saved lives of beings he cared about. How she did it might offend him, but he would have to live with it for now.

Arya made it clear she cared little that she was naked as she sauntered up to the four of them, her body smeared in the blood of the fallen. Her face was guarded though, as always. At least it was till she got close enough to Octavia and suddenly broke into a grin. Anyone who was looking at the dragonling would see her shoulders relaxed as she sighed in relief, obviously worried the bloodlust had gone to her head.

"Beat my record," Arya exclaimed, licking each of her fingers one by one, "By three seconds and five kills. That last meal almost ruined it though."

Octavia just shook her head, sheathing her sword and turning to Elaya. Arya did as well, and in a surprising act of respect bowed her head to the werewolf.

"Most do not steal my kills then return them within a single day. For that, you have my respect Lady Elaya."

Her head continued to turn as she studied Narxis for a second then moved on, neither smiling nor frowning at him. To them, it may seem rude, but Octavia knew Arya. When she wasn't biting at your throat you were in good standing. Those red eyes continued towards the angel, and her nostrils flared.

"Got a problem feathers?" her voice was husky and deep with an unmade growl, an encouragement to pick a fight.

"Arya..." Octavia warned.

Rolling her eyes the creature of death and shadow turned and stalked back to her pile, pulling the body she had just killed onto it. Meanwhile Octavia half turned, keeping her voice low although she knew it was pointless. Arya could hear as well as Elaya could.

"She's a deathhound m'lady," Octavia finally explained, "When she marks you for death, she will be the last thing you ever see. Mortals cannot see her at all, but we are the gifted and can look death right in the eye."

As she spoke Arya turned, watching all of them for a solid minute. Like a lone wolf, gauging them. Then she dropped the body on the pile and picking up a dagger and a stone from the blood soaked fields, set the pile on fire. Grunting as she stepped away, she slide past the four of them, her bloodstained hands reaching down into a bush and pulling out her clothes. Without a word she strolled into the trees, disappearing into the shadows.

"Any of you coming?" her voice suddenly barked back and Octavia smiled.

"Forgive her Lady Elaya, she does not do well with social customs," Octavia explained, following Arya's footsteps as she led the group, "It took me years to understand her. I cannot speak of her past, but there is nothing but darkness within it. This is her way of turning over a new leaf. And do not fret over the clearing. The bodies will burn and decompose. The soil there will become more fertile than ever."

Elaya nodded. "Good. And I'll thank her when I get the chance. i don't want the children, especially Sera seeing this. Even as an adult this would have troubled her."

Elaya surveyed the scene with her cold eye, then looked at Octavia. That was something did trouble Elaya. Not the corpses. But that they didn't. She could not help a smile as she considered how many had cursed her and her kind as death hounds.

She had denied this of course, and refused to let the name stick. Stealing the name of such creatures was a good way to suffer a painful death, and even the Metuzi would fare poorly in a war with Hell.

She turned to Amitiel. "Recon the area please. And stay away from Lady Arya."

He nodded and took off. She then turned to Narxis. "And you. behave yourself."

he grinned. "Don't I always?"

"No. So try it for once. Don't push her."

He laughed and took off, but after Amitiel, showing his intent to obey. For now.

She sighed and looked at Octavia. "Let's go check in on Seraphina." She began to bounce on her heels, and only then realized that she had shifted when she had needed to grab Narxis. She sniffed, but changed her mind. "If you will let me walk with you Lady Octavia? As friends?" She held out her hand in a polite handshake, also offering the full partnership of this upcoming battle. Both the Metuzi Princess and the highly skilled merc offered this deal, but more importantly Elaya, the lover and protector of Seraphina wanted to ensure peace and friendship with Octavia.

Octavia watched them fly away and smiled at the words between Narxis and Elaya.

"He is in for a challenge," she spoke to Elaya as they disappeared, "Arya is not easy to swallow, even I can admit that. But she is loyal."

Turning to look at her she nodded, "Let's. Please. And of course you may walk with me Lady Elaya. You have my respect, and my oath to help in your fight."

Shaking her hand she fell in line with Elaya, sheathing her sword on her back.

Elaya smiled and stretched. "Did I mention to you that I know quite a bit about defending against swords and other weapons? i'm just no good at wielding them?"

She spared a last glance at the deathhound's corpse pile. "Can you tell me something? How can she withstand the sun? i heard that deathhounds cannot enter the sunlit plains without protection from their master."

Octavia walked alongside Elaya, replying as they went, "No you did not, but I would expect you could. Being able to wield one may help you though. Even simple techniques can save a life."

Her eyes looked up towards the sunlight leaves, "Her human body protects her. And that legend is minorly false. It is not our sunlight plains that she cannot step but the eternal sunlight plains, which was another way of describing heaven."

Elaya scooped up a stick and gave it a skilful flourish then went through a skillful sword form, including all the basic techniques. She twirled the stick and 'sheathed' it, then sighed. "I can use them Milady. The issue is that i am not even fractionally as deadly with them as you are. Let alone as I am with my own weapons."

She smiled and twirled the stick again. "Part of my place and duties as the Metuzi Princess is and was to study and formulate the pack's methods of combat. Which includes defense against weapons of every kind. part of why i continue to roam the earth."

She chuckled. "i knew they could not enter Heaven. i was just curious if there was any truth to their inability to appear in daylight. Guess not."

Octavia watched her technique before flourishing her sword and doing the same movements, her body flying gracefully through the motions, quick and sharp.

"You just need to tuck in your transitions, and making your turns quicker and closer," she instructed with a soft tone, giving her advice, "And yes there is no truth, although as you saw when she enters a place in true form, not even the sun can touch it. Her shadows form an almost barrier. Perhaps there is some truth to it afterall."

They continued walking until they stepped onto the farm property again. To their luck, nothing else had gone amiss while they were out. Arya was no where to be seen, but Octavia knew the woman would be finding somewhere to bath first before presenting herself. She did not understand most social customs, but she knew better than to walk into the midst of people drenched in blood.

Jeziah stepped out of the barn just then, with a very happy Sera right behind him, running out and towards them.

Elaya laughed. "You've been teaching too long. You sound like Gerry. But the trouble is not the blade. or my technique. It's just the sheer math."

When she saw Sera she forgot all else and moved forward kneeling for a hug and kiss to the girl's cheek. "How are you sweety? Feel alright?"

She was about to ask what Elaya meant about math when Sera swooped in, hugging Elaya and giggling.

"I'm glad she is safe and unscathed," Octavia commented, watching them, "I shall check on Jeziah."

"Jeziah is fine," the man himself walked up, smiling as he spoke in third-person, "Seraphina got a little spooked with the fire so I ended up doing the brunt of it and effectively drained myself for the day, but I'm alright. I haven't pushed myself too far. And Sera has been helping me attend to Gerry's wounds while you've been gone. He's still up Elaya, if you wish to see him. He's recovering well. Slowly but well."

Elaya picked the girl up. "Well there is always next time."

She turned to Octavia. "To answer your silent question Milady the math is simple. Even at my best I've never taken more than ten foes with a blade. Without them I've rarely taken fewer than twenty. As i said. Simple math."

She nodded at Jeziah. "You should rest brother."

She looked back to Octavia. "When you are willing I would like that training session you offered Milady. Thank you again."

She gave a soft bow while holding the child, then went into the barn.

Gerry was leaning against the head of his bed. He looked utterly exhausted, and was very pale despite his burns. Elaya sat on the bed. Sera giggled as Gerry smiled and poked her side. "hey sweetheart."

Elaya smiled at him and he sighed. "Boss.. i can't keep this up. Once we get Tatia I'm retiring." he smiled at Sera and tickled her again. "Someone needs to be around who can keep an eye on you and this sweet one."

Elaya smiled and kissed the top of Sera's head. "True...where will you go?"

"I am going to invoke my right as pack. And i am going to accept the fang."

Elaya's eyebrows went up. "Why? You said-"

He raised a hand. "I'm not going to live out my retirement in this weakened state. I have much to teach the pack. but not when just standing up makes me sick. I know I'll never be a true were, but I will at least have the healing and lifespan of the pack."

She nodded, her eyes sad.

Sera reached up and touched her face. "What's wrong?"

Elaya smiled and kissed the girl's hands. "Nothing for you to worry about sweet one. What do you want to do?"

Gerry smiled weakly. "Why don't you too go play tag with Kai and the kids?"

Elaya looked at the girl. "What do you think?" She had caught his hint and stood with the girl while gerry slithered down and effectively passed out.

When Elaya excused herself and left with Sera, Jeziah fully turned to his friend, "Where's Arya?"

"Cleaning up," she sighed, "your friends saw her true form. I do hope they do not judge her or I too harshly."

"From what you told me of what she is, some may and some may not," he looked around seeing Kai and some of the children playing tag, although they were well out of hearing, "But you also told me she is loyal to you and saved your life more than once. So there is some humanity there, yeah?"

"Don't confuse humanity with survival kid," Arya suddenly appeared, clapping him on the back rather hard. She was dressed again, her hair sleek with water.

"Arya does things her way," Octavia smiled, "But I've grown to understand and respect that over the years."

"And out of all these years you two have known each other, why is this only the second time I have met you Arya?"

Arya grunted and Octavia replied, "She doesnt often care to socialize. When I visit she is usually to be found in a pub or inn drinking."

"The one good thing mortals created," Arya lips twitched in an almost grin, "Alcohol."
