[The Ancestral Steppes - Sonya]
Sonya gave less credit to her own resilience than perhaps she should have, but even considering that her submission was not an entirely unwarranted reaction. She knew from the startled cry as she rolled over that Nat must be able to see her, and could guess even without turning her head by the way the cry was quickly cut off that the other Jaggi must be making a similar use of the bowgunner as their alpha was about to make of her.
If she did look, Sonya could see the Nat writhing on her back, several deep cuts incurred by her more fervent struggles bleeding onto the dusty ridgetop as two of the Jaggi claimed her, one forcing it's thick shaft into her mouth while another thrust itself between her legs and muffled moans told of the unwanted pleasure the pink-haired girl must be feeling. More importantly to her own situation however, Sonya could see the Great Jaggi's cock swell and dip to press against her entrance, a rumble and hiss from the alpha accompanying the motion.
It wriggled against her, not quite as thick as the Seltas but with a more bulbous cockhead rather than a pointed tip. Sonya could see the Great Jaggi's muscles bunch in it's hindquarters as it slowly pushed, shifting left and right ever so slightly as it tried to spread her open before -with one powerful motion- it pushed into her. A more merciful invasion than the Seltas had been to be sure, but an invasion nonetheless, thick bestial cock forcing her open, sliding halfway into her before the Jaggi started to pull back a little, then push forward a little, a series of small rocking motions, as though the beast wished to accustom her to it's shaft. Perhaps it wished to enhance it's own enjoyment, or perhaps given it's intelligence it meant to humiliate her by making her enjoy the experience...
[The Port City of Val Habar - Alistair]
"Oh! I-uh... Sorry..." Helena flushed, and had the decency to look sheepishly away at the correction. "Well..." Personally Helena had never really cared about the rivalries between warriors but she knew any number of hunters who would have unkind things to say about anyone who served to fight other humans rather than monsters. A castle guard might garner a bit more respect -or at the least, a bit less dis-respect- than say, a mercenary (whom hunters often considered to be barely one step above bandits) but it was a tenuous thing.
It all came down to ego really...
"Huh..." She'd heard of Montange at least, a feifdom, or a Barony, she wasn't really sure. She hadn't heard of much around there, she just knew she'd heard the name before. "Well, it makes no difference to me either way, but I'd avoid mentioning that around others unless you want to pick a fight." She smiled. "Then again, picking a fight is a pretty good way to make friends around here, second most popular after going on a hunt together, third most common being drunken hookups." The smile widened into an unabashed grin at that...
[Everwood Hunting Ground - Kojirou]
The dusk came early in the Everwood, and while it was not yet dark when Kojirou arrived the shadows were beginning to lengthen and the sunlight shone orange between the trees. With the many twisting and winding passages to explore before him, Kojirou found himself presented with many ways to go forwards, and the only knowledge to guide him was that the sightings of his prey were largely clustered at the eastern border of the region.
The paths in that direction led into a dense tangle where the close-growing trees grew almost impenetrable wherever the path was not, and thick canopies of moss and vines -sturdy enough to walk on- swayed in the evening breeze overhead. There were other monsters in these woods too, and while Kojirou saw now webs, he'd heard of giant arachnids called Nerscylla that favored this sort of environment to make their homes in, to say nothing of the usual tendency for swarms of the smaller insectoid monsters to lurk among the trees.
For the moment though, there was no sign of danger. Birds sung, the sun shone low in the sky, and the trail wound on and on, occasionally splitting and merging as the hunter slowly made his way south and east...
[The Port City of Val Habar - Wyn]
As she made her way through the city Wyn realized eventually that another woman was walking near her in the same direction, shorter and with dark spiky hair but clearly a novice huntress in green-highlighted leathers. Where Wyn stopped outside at the jobs board however, Ameria continued into the guild hall, vanishing into it's shadows. Somewhat ironic, the clear novice stepping into the hall itself while the high-ranked one looked at the board outside...
The job board outside was relatively barren, but the few jobs that remained were all more difficult hunts, likely eschewed by the newer hunters in favor of less dangerous missions. Of course the truly frightening hunts would be found inside rather than out on the board, dealt with by dedicated guildmarms and organized by rank, but for a warm up, these jobs would do fine.
A hunt request for a mated pair of Lagombi attempting to establish territory that seemed it must be infringing upon the frozen seaway trade routes.
A request for a Tetsucabra to be hunted along with a warning about Congalala sightings in the sunken Hollow.
And a request to confirm the existence of and drive out or eradicate a Nerscylla in the Eastern Everwood.
Tough work in every case, but easily doable for someone of Wyn's relative skill, though of course she could always check inside the hall as well. Perhaps she could help that huntress who'd just vanished inside?
[The Port City of Val Habar - Rao]
Rao couldn't see his friend for the moment, and supposed she wasn't on shift inside the hall. She might be outside manning the board of course, or today might be her day off, in which case he would have to come back tomorrow. If he didn't leave the line on the other hand, then there were jobs up on the board as the Guildswoman manning the desk greeted him cordially. "Ah, hello! Low rank work, lets see..." She rifled through her papers for a few moments, then looked up at the board behind her. "We've got the usual mishmash of gathering and slaying requests for minor nuisance monsters, some request to deal with a mated pair of Lagombi, a warning about something called a 'Khezu' lurking around the frozen seaway region..."
She flipped a few more papers over and scanned them. "Oooh, gravios sightings in the sunken hollow... Wait no, that's a warning, don't go hunting those... We do have a tetsucabra wandering that area though, and some roving packs of Ioprey that need to be cleared out..." She flipped through another few papers, shrugged, then stacked the whole bundle together again. "That's about it, anything catch your ear?"
[The Port City of Val Habar - Ameria]
The guildswoman eyed Ameria's leather armor with a doubtful look. "Anything still up on the board is open for the taking, but I can't authorize you for any hunts above your rank..." She warned. "Mind if I see your guild card?" Novice hunters could occasionally find work, but for the most part their jobs were posted outside. "You'll need better armor and weapons to have a chance at any of these hunts..." The guildswoman explained apologetically. "If you can find a higher ranked hunter or hunters willing to help you with something higher-ranked then they can arrange the job and take you with them, but on your own, I can't let you take anything on this board I'm afraid..."
There were quite a few hunters around at least, surely it couldn't be too hard to find someone willing to take her on...
[The Everwood Hunting Ground - Dust]
"Stomach! Armpit! Just stab where the scales look weakest!" Vianna screamed back at him, coughing as she struggled to keep evading, the monster girl harrying her such that the researcher was forced to skim the edge of the miasmic clouds, slowly whittling away at her as she caught snatches of the spores. She had no defense like Dust's, and Dust for his part was being forced to chase after the monster girl just to have a chance at hitting her, a difficult proposition considering she moved a good deal faster than he did.
