Shadowman (ZonaTea & Vyrania)

Raphael made some attempts at socializing, and he couldn't seem to help making passes at Aaron. The young man wasn't all that responsive to any of it. He merely thanked Raphael for a place to stay and a meal, then retreated to the spare bedroom.

He might have lain awake that night staring at the ceiling, afraid to sleep. However, he'd been given a few painkillers to take until it was all more bearable, and they were strong enough to knock him out even in his state. So, despite what had happened, despite his newly-founded fear of the dark, and despite Raphael being just in the next room, Aaron fell into a deep, restful sleep.

Emil, that night would head to Aaron's apartment like normal. Knowing that he wouldn't be there. It smelled of him and he would lay down on the bed looking at the ceiling. His poor little lamb. So scared that he had to run off...well..no matter. He'd let him have his freedom for now. But as soon as he was home his nightmares would return and no one was going to come into this place without him knowing that they were there. Paramedics were something else.

But that..Raphael character. No he had to go. He would have his little lover all to himself, all the nights that he could get to him. So clever of him to go during the day when he couldn't reach him but, no matter. Night was his territory. If he wanted to, he could probably track him down, but what was the point? He had to return eventually.

The next day, Aaron did not wish to go back home. He was hurting a little less, though he still walked and sat somewhat gingerly, but he stalled. He even tried to converse with Raphael a time or two in order to delay his leaving. he knew Raphael would probably let him stay, but he wouldn't do so out of the kindness of his heart for long. Soon, perhaps even tonight, he'd demand a price.

"You're still afraid to go back to your apartment." Raphael was rather observant, and also very blunt. "Kid, is someone after you?"

Aaron curled up into himself slightly. "...I don't know..."

The darker skinned man raised an eyebrow. "Well, someone put you in the hospital. You think they will come back?" Aaron didn't answer, and Raphael sighed. "How about this: I stay at your apartment and we surprise any badguys who come calling?"

Aaron swallowed hard. He didn't know if Raphael would be able to fend off whoever - or whatever - had attacked him the night before last. Was he willing to take that chance? Whatever Raphael was, Aaron didn't like the idea of getting him killed. "Do you... have any weapons?"

At this, Raphael smirked and got up. He walked into his bedroom and returned a short time later with a revolver, which he was loading rounds into. "Come on. Let us go meet this mysterious villain, shall we?"

And so, the two of them headed back to Aaron's apartment. Raphael tried to talk his way into sharing Aaron's bed - just to guard him better, of course - but Aaron religated him to the couch. Still, even with Raphael and his illegal weapon there, the approaching night made Aaron extremely nervous. Despite his soreness, he paced about and tried to find a hundred small tasks to keep himself busy. Yet, night came and he found himself too tired to stall any longer. He bid Raphael a good night and headed into his room to get ready for bed.

The moment he was alone, he felt the prickling sensation on the back of his neck. It made him want to burst into tears right then and there, but he steeled himself and closed himself in the bathroom to get washed up and changed for bed.

Emil had pretty much stayed the entire time. He didn't want to miss whenever Aaron came back. He had simply stayed in the shadows when it had gotten too light out to rest on the bed. It was nice though, just lying there, taking in his little lamb's scent...remembering their night he had gotten so damn hard thinking about it.

It was torturous just having to wait so long though...all those hours spent waiting to see if he would return..rather hoping he would. And then, all that waiting paid off and he saw the two of them return. Just because he brought some gorilla back with him...didn't mean that he was going to be safe, all that gave him was just some fresh blood for the evening. Speaking of which, he had to take care of the problem first.

Like a sergeant he slithered through the shadows until he was in the living room looking at the other male. His eyes narrowed at Raphael. He was going to feel his wrath. No one took his little lamb away and he'd seen the revolver. Pathetic weapon. As if it could hurt him, he was dead technically. But that wasn't to say he couldn't be killed and perhaps they would succeed as he wasn't exactly a good guy but for right now..he would watch, his dark red eyes narrowed on the tanned male. Sneaking up on him he would whisper. "Don't think you're safe here tonight either, just because you have your little toy"

His voice was no more like a ghost like saying and he was quickly back into the shadows. Oh he had his hiding spots for sure but he wanted to see if this one spooked easily. He enjoyed fear a little more then he enjoyed a hunt. But, he always had plenty of places to store dead bodies.

Raphael was surprisingly quick for a man of his size and he wheeled around, his gun already in his hand. Sharp eyes scanned the darkness and he wore a deep frown. "What the fuck...?" he muttered to himself. He had startled and looked unnerved, but he wasn't afraid in the way Aaron was. "Kid did not fuckin' tell me his place was haunted..." he grumbled as he settled back down on the couch. He kept his gun out, though, and his hand upon it. His eyes kept sliding back to the bedroom door, the thoughts going on behind them fairly obvious.

Meanwhile, Aaron stood in front of the bathroom mirror, trying to work up the nerve to go into his bedroom. Somehow, he always felt safe in the bathroom with the door closed. It was a small room, so the light illuminated it well. There were no dark shadows where something could hide. It was so absurd that he couldn't feel safe in his own bedroom, but it was the reality.

His chest tight, he finally walked out of the bathroom, took his medication, and cralwed into bed. He wrapped up in the blankets, then just lay there staring at the door. Would Raphael stay in the living room and leave him be? Would Raphael notice if he was actually needed? Would the intruder really come back? Should he have called the police after all? What would he tell them?

Emil was kind of glad that Raphael wasn't so easily spooked, it would give him more chances to fuck with him before he got to his prize in the bedroom. He wasn't too far off from actually be haunted, his castle was nearby and he had a very impressive graveyard that was officially part of his lands and there for a part of the historical landmark. Just because he thought the place was haunted didn't mean he couldn't easily reach out and grab Raphael if he wanted to and he would soon, but for right now, he was sizing the other male up. Just a little bit, would he get trigger happy? As much as he wanted Aaron to himself he didn't want him to get hurt on accident. That would be bad, no his little lamb would need to be safe, first and foremost.

He could feel where Aaron was in the small place, he always knew where he was. Feeling him in the bedroom again instead of the bathroom. But he wasn't going to go to him just yet, not when he'd have a possible trigger happy moron hurting him. No it was safer to stay out there and make sure he wouldn't hurt anyone. That was his job.

Reaching out he would hook his arm around Raphael's neck, holding him firmly so that he could choke him. "I'm no ghost" he growled into Raphael's ear. He didn't have to worry about him finding out what he was as he would either never come back, or he would leave in a body bag, either way he wasn't going to worry about the thicker male. He had no need to torture him sexually like he did his little lamb. No he was going to make sure that this, never happened again.

Unfortunately, the gun was still free in Raphael's hand. The moment he felt someone grasp him and heard that voice again, he lefted his arm and pointed the grun past his own head. He had to guess where the attacker might be, but simply started to fire the gun.

Aaron gasped and cried out in terror when he heard the shots. He slid from the bed to the floor, heart beating a furious cadence in his throat. A silencer kept the shots from being extremely loud, but in this small apartment Aaron could hear them and knew what they meant. He stayed flat on his stomach on the floor, listening to teh silence afterward, dreading what he would find should he go into the living room.

The solid shots fired into nothing. Since it was just Emil's arms, his head wasn't exposed from the shadows and the bullets merely hit the wall behind him. Not that it would have mattered, though it was interesting, he hadn't been so close to a gun in ages! This one was certainly fun wasn't he? He would wait, making sure to grip on as he wanted Raphael to empty all his bullets.. he could see the plaster flying off the walls each time the bullet struck.

And then he suddenly let go of Raphael's neck, getting a wicked idea. Melting into the shadows again he quickly hid as if mere bullets had some how ended the situation. What a moron. Surely if he was still he would think it over. He had all night after all, he was not going to survive once he was done with him. Firing a gun was one thing but blindly like that? What if he'd hit his little lamb? Well, no matter, he had his ways and he was going to make sure he'd never come by again.

The moment he was released, Raphael sprang up and wheeled around. When he saw nothing directly behind him, he looked to the floor as if expecting to find a body. "Fuck!" he swore when he saw nothing, now more than just a little unnerved. His gun was littel good now, but he kept it in his hand as he scanned the room. Then, he began striding toward the bedroom. "Aaron! Aaron, what the fuck is going on here!?"

Aaron was too frightened to move from where he lay, and he had no real answer for Raphael. He genuinely began to fear that the man was going to die. He didn't know what to do. Sending him away would leave him with no protection, but having such protection could get him killed. He wasn't terribly fond of Raphael, but he had no desire to ask someone to die for him.

A deep echoing laugh sounded through out the room, Emil knew how to project his voice well, how to make it sound with the acoustics in Aaron's' apartment. He'd been there so many times of course, scaring his little lamb, whispering things of how he would take him. He could tell he was rattling the other. Good. He wanted him to be afraid. "Leave" he growled into Raphael's ear from right behind him, but he wouldn't stay there long. Not with Mr. Trigger happy. If he had been a real intruder he would have been both very caught, and very dead by now. No matter..it was what it was.

"I'm only going to give you one warning" he hissed. It would get very serious very quickly if he didn't heed his warning and go. He was going to end up not so amused by this anymore, he could already feel his patients with the other starting to run very thin and he hadn't fed that night, he would be wanting to kill the other soon and feast upon his blood. Surely there was a lot of it in that massive form.

Raphael wheeled again, staring around with wide eyes. When he saw nothing, he spit a slew of curses in Spanish, then started moving toward the front door. "Fuck this! I didn't sign up to fight spirits or whatever the fuck you've got in here! Call a priest! I'm out of here!" With that, Raphael snatched his overnight back, stomped into his boots, then strode out of the apartment, slamming the door firmly behind himself.

Behind the closed door of his room, Aaron just sat there on the floor. He was waiting with icy fingers of dread coiling through his insides. Like the helpless little lamb he was, he just sat there waiting for the slaughter, trembling and with no one around who could help him.

Emil felt rather pleased with himself, though, too bad, he'd have to find another victim for the night. Going to the door he would simply lock it up tight, dead bolt, chain lock, all done. Heading into the bedroom, almost causally he could see Aaron lying on the floor. He almost felt bad for him, almost. "Come, get off the floor Aaron" he said in a calmer, much more soft tone then he usually spoke to him. It almost sounded foreign, like it wasn't himself. He looked so pathetic sitting there like a lamb for slaughter. Actually now, he had time if he hurried and got up, he probably would be able to get to him but perhaps he wouldn't stop him if here to simply turn on a light.

It wasn't as if he was just going to melt away. His friend had been a moron as he had thought that hew as. But no matter, he was gone and he had his little lamb all to himself.

Numbly, mechanically, Aaron stood up. He didn't go for a light, nor did he look at the shadowed figure standing in the doorway. He just stood there rigid and shaking, knowing that nothing he did would stop whatever was about to happen to him. Perhaps during the day he could find the means to try and resist, but once night fell, this creature was present and far too strong and fast to allow for any real struggle. After all, if bullets couldn't hurt it, what chance did he have?

Emil frowned, there was nothing in Aaron anymore. Well, he needn't douse it. He hadn't meant to and he would head over to him, placing his cool hands on that warm body as he steered him back to the bed to lay down. It didn't always have to be about sex. Sure he wanted to feel that hot heat wrapped around him but he probably couldn't get it up until he fed. And he needed to drain someone tonight, someone close, which meant he couldn't stick around forever. Getting up on it, he stretched out. "How disappointing you thought you could stop me with mere bullets my little lamb"

Aaron lay where he'd been guided, clutching at his nightshirt in something of a self embrace. A slight hitch of breath marked the beginning of sobs; the dread was making him sick to his stomach. "I-I don't even know what you are. How should I know w-what would work and what wouldn't?" His voice was only just above a trembling whisper, slightly higher pitched than usual thanks to the fear constricting his throat.

That was true, Emil sighed. "Switch on the light" he said. "I will let you see what I am, but I warn you, you may not like what you see" he said. It may frighten him more so he had warned him. Kissing his cheek he would let him up if he wanted to do that. It wasn't as if he was ugly but he wouldn't or really couldn't hide the fact that he was a vampire from him if he were to switch on the nightstand light. It was why he had prevented him from doing so the other night. To be but a shadow on his wall a faceless creature, it was much better, this would put things into a perspective he wasn't sure Aaron could handle.

"...I never expected I would..." Aaron retorted to the warning, then slowly and cautiously moved away from his captor. He expected to be grabbed at any second, but this time, he was allowed to reach the lamp and flick it on. Then, he swallowed and braced himself before turning back to look at the creature that lay in his bed, the monster that had stalked and tortured him.

Emil blinked at Aaron, watching him. So hesitant his little lamb was. And yet, there he lay, his strong broad chest lying against the pillows, his legs crossed before him. He wore older clothes, not of that time period. They were comfortable to him, reminded him of his life long before. His skin as pale as moonlight. Really he looked normal. No discerning features that said hew as a monster other than he was void of color pretty much. He flashed him a smile, showing off his very sharp teeth, his fangs elongated on purpose so he could tell what had been marking him in the night.

Aaron just sat there, supported on his knees and one hand, staring at the man as his mind tried to comprehend the reality of what he was seeing. He had known the one that attacked him couldn't be anything natural, but seeing it right in front of him was like at last making the intangible nightmare something very solid.

So, Aaron just sat there staring with wide eyes, lips slightly parted, and face drained of color. His heart was racing, but that was the only part of him moving at the moment. What his eyes saw was directly contradicting what his mind knew to be true, and he briefly felt himself spiraling into a temporary madness.

Emil would get up on to his knees too as he made his way over to Aaron. He looked so pale being right there in front of him and he would reach out so his icy hands were upon that warm, through pale face. But, he didn't hurt him, he merely pressed his lips to him in a soft very gentle kiss. "Relax, breathe" he said. He was going to end up snapping at this point.

What would he even do if something made Aaron snap? Probably nothing he could imagination, he didn't want to hurt him. Surely he was this evil creature in his little lambs eyes because he'd forced himself upon him, torutured him endlessly for nights upon end. But really, there were far worse creatures in the world then him.

Aaron did not relax. He shivered at the icy touch, and a soft whimper escaped his throat as cold, pale lips touched his own - the lips of a living corpse. A walking Halloween story had its hands on him, as if to further ensure that he could not deny what was right in front of him. Perhaps in an attempt to flee what was happening, his mind began to try and rationalize this, coming up with ways that this might be possible with what he knew of the scientific world. Nothing made sense, of course, but he went through ideas nonetheless. Outwardly, though, he was still fearful, afraid to move lest he incite this violent predator that had so enjoyed his pain and terror two nights prior.

Noticing how tense Aaron was still, Emil paused. Surely he was just a monster to him. His little lamb knew who the wolf was and he had let him see instead of pouncing on him like he had. That illusion was gone, he had broken it himself. But that was fine, he didn't need to be this shadow man. He was no spirit. Still close he would kiss him again, trailing soft, gentle kisses down his jaw. The pulse of blood...it was so close, he could almost feel it beneath his lips. Almost.

Aaron's breath grew more rapid the nearer those cold lips drew to his throat. He again felt his instincts battling, one part of him wanting to spring away and run, while the other kept him frozen in place. He was dealing with a predator - a vampire - and he knew that running would only incite the creature. The undead man was already touching him, and he probably wouldn't even make it off the bed before he was snatched. Everything was... gentle for now; if he tried to run, he was sure that would change in a heartbeat. So, he stayed frozen as his panic built up inside of him and stared at an arbitrary point somewhere in front of him, past the creature he now had light to see.

Emil would continue kissing Aaron's neck a moment, his fangs still out before he gripped him suddenly, temptation winning. A firm grip he would be unable to break, not that he had moved yet. Sliding his fangs deep into that skin, the venom that would keep his little lamb numb would be released as well before he started to draw from him. He was delicious, and it started to warm him up the moment he felt the first draw of blood. He had time to rest, to recuperate the blood loss. He never took much from him. As he was drawing from him he would reach down and start rubbing his little lamb's crotch. Trying to get him aroused again. After all, if he made him feel things it would feel that much better when they fucked again.

When Aaron felt the other's grip tighten, he knew what had to be coming next. His breath started to come rapidly for the few pulls before the fangs sank in and he cried out, his body jerking with the pain of it. He had never been fully awake and aware for the bite, at least not without a lot more pain to distract him from it. Even after the wound began to numb, he was on the verge of hyperventilating. Tears were starting to fall, and his heart only succeeded in pumping more blood faster to the hungry mouth nursing on his neck.

Aaron gave a whine of protest - which was all he could manage at the moment - as he felt that probing hand. As frightened as he was, the stimulation through his clothing wasn't quite enough to get him hard, but he was sure his body would betray him soon enough.
