Crista was there all right, sitting there, waiting for him with a smile on her face and a weight lifted off her shoulders since the day they were married. Actually before they were married. She had had a feeling now for some time but did not want to say anything until she knew for sure. One hundred percent sure before she told Aiden. She would hate to get his hopes up only to dash them. And today as she did the math and spoke with the doctor, there was no question that she indeed was and it was okay to tell him.
She wanted the night to picture perfect, having dinner prepared for them both that was nice and romantic but the food was cold from waiting for him and the lamp oil grew low. Still she sat awaiting him for she had to tell him tonight or she would just burst with this news for him.
And when he finally arrived, she rose to meet him.... only to watch him pass her by and head right for the bed. Not exactly how she pictured the night but.... oh well. She had to work with it. So with a smile on her face, she crossed to stand before him, hands on hips as she looked down at him, "Tough day dear?"
