The year was 1940. Krystal had decided to leave her comfortable apartment and explore the city. Being the daughter of a wealthy newspaper tycoon had its privileges. She smiled as she walked out into the sun, deciding to get herself a milkshake from the diner down the street. She loved the food there, especially their waffles, which were always cooked perfect and had whipped cream on top with strawberries. She walked into the diner, ordered her milkshake to go, snd was off, just walking around the city and somehow ending up in Brooklyn. She had no idea that today would be the day her Onyx knight would return to her.

Steve rogers had annoyed someone again. All he wanted to do was watch the war film at the beginning of the movie, but this man was talking much to loud. He had politely and patiently asked him to quiet down, but all that had gotten him was in an alleyway. Steve hated bullies, and this man was definitely one of them, because now he was cornered in said alleyway, with 3 instead of one guy. He was in a bit of trouble. Luckily, a beautiful blue haired woman with glacial blue eyes happened to walk by. She too hated bullies, and she walked down the alleyway, looking worried.

"Hey, who's the pretty broad?" The man asked, whistling a little at pretty woman who just snorted derisively. She cocked an eyebrow at the now badly beaten Steve, who looked all but helpless. She kneeled down to him. "Why don't I get you cleaned up, huh?" She asked softly, and Steve just nodded, looking shocked that such a pretty woman was talking to him. "Don't bother with this wimp" the man said, and she could smell the alcohol on him as he pulled her away. She acted quickly, tossing him into a dumpster, knocking him unconscious. "Don't you dare lay your hands on me!" She growled, as the other two men went twards Steve. All he could do was watch helplessly, to beat up to do anything but let it come.

Krystal wouldn't have that though. She stood in front of the frail man, a samurai sword looking like it appeared in her hand. She points it toward the men. "If you don't wanna end up like your buddy there, I suggest you leave." She warned, but they lunged at her anyway. She sighed and went to work in a beautiful yet dangerous dance, quickly knocking the two on their asses, her sword at their throats. "Go. Before I decide to cut your necks." She told them flatly and they ran away just as Krystal was picking Steve up. "Thank's for saving me, ma'am" he told her with a cough, his asthma acting up. She stroked his hair and walked out of the alley, surprised to run into a handsome man. "Bucky. I'm okay.". Steve wheezed out, and Krystal softened, knowing he wasn't a threat, seeing as the man she saved called him by name.

"He was being beaten up when I came by. I hate bullies, so I saved him. I'm Krystal by the way. Krystal Kobayashi. And you two are? I didn't catch your names." She said l, a light smile on her face as she steadied the smaller man into her slightly larger form. Steve smiled a little then wheezed. "Steve rogers. Pleased to meet you ma'am." He told her, his breaths calming because of her healing seeping into him by touch.

Bucky laughed coming down the alleyway looking at Steve before answering the woman "at least I didn't have to save you this time" he chuckled giving Steve a pat on the back before looking towards Krystal "James Buchanan Barnes ma'am but most just call me Bucky" he said with a smile "Thanks for saving him he a small guy with a huge heart" He said putting his hand on Steve's shoulder "And often gets into situations like this" he said raising his eyebrow to Steve who stood catching his breath. Steve chuckled out of breath knowing he was right but he would find a way to defend his intentions "Guy was booing the people fighting for his freedom again I had to knock the idea into him" Bucky laughed at Steve's words "Looks like you're the one who ended up being knocked around" he said looking back to Krystal something about her seemed familiar but he couldn't figure out what it was.

Krystal nodded and smiled. "I can see that." she admitted with a chuckle, worry in her glacial blue eyes. She could tell that Steve would get into a lot of trouble if she didn't keep an eye on him. She smiled lightly at Bucky, blushing slightly. He was so handsome, she could almost faint. She wanted t know more about him. "well, Bucky, what's say i take you two out for a milkshake and get Steve cleaned up, huh?" she asked, small smirk on her face. Krystal wasn't the type to mince words, nor was she the type to shy away from getting what she wanted, and she wanted Bucky.. There was just something about him that she couldn't resist..

Bucky looked to steve who had immediately answered for them "there really is no need you're the one who saved me after all" he said though the sound of defeat was just as noticeable as how small he was. Bucky shook his head knowing how much it killed steve when he was saved from a fight by someone let alone the fact this time he had no clue who she was before this moment "While brave but dumb, he is right you saved him so you taking us for milkshakes wouldn't seem right" he looked back to steve who was feeling like his best friend had just punched him in the gut with the brave but dumb statement. "How about we head back to our place so he can get cleaned and then we'll meet up for the milkshakes, oh they'll be on me though" he smiled at krystal feeling like he had known her for ever and that the connection was drawing them closer. He didn't even realize that steve had already fallen for her the second she saved him.

Krystal made a cute pouty face before she smiled. "Fair enough, i suppose." She admitted, pushing her long blue hair out of her face. You could see both her big glacial blue eyes, and the worry that were in them. She smiled again, a small chuckle gracing her bright red painted lips. "Sometimes the bravest have to be the stupidest. Its how they become memorable." She said in an attempt to make steve feel better. She could sense that he was feeling down, and she wanted to fix it. She hated seeing a good man feel down. Krystal smiled again, slight blush on her cheeks. "Alright then. Meet me at the diner down y he street frombthe Kobayashi hotel. They make the best milkshakes." She said, as unaware as bucky of steve's feelings. All she knew was she liked them boyh already.

They both nodded knowing where diner was but never having been there they were Brooklyn boys always have been and they had only really gone to the city for the Stark Expo. They thanked her walking past her and heading towards the apartment "Sometimes the bravest most have to be the stupidest" Steve said lightly barely loud enough for Bucky to hear him "Hey Steve don't take my words to heart you are extremely brave but you aren't built for fights" He said seeing the apartment, He placed his hand on Steve's shoulder as he opened the door.

Krystal smiled. "Alright. Good. We'll go tobthe expo after, okay? I'm sure Howie would like you both." She said with a grin, walking away. She would be ready when they got to the diner, it would all be cleared, save them. She wanted privacy for talking to them. She needed to know for sure if Bucky really was who she thought was. She had never heard of humans being reincarnated, but she supposed it was possible, if their heart was someone who's immortal. Before she knew it, it was time for them to get there. She had changed, now wearing a semi-formal dark blue sparkly cocktail dress, Matching heels, and her long blue hair was up in the style she had worn back when she was betrothed to a prince named Onyx. It was styled with two rabbit ear buns on each side of her head, with two dlowing tails on either side. She wondered just what would happen now.

Steve cleaned himself up the bruises from where he was punched pained but he would face it. He washed the dirt off his body chanhging into tan slacks and a white long sleeve button up. "Hey buck I wonder who she was talking about, howie... strange name think it could be a boyfriend?" Steve asked stepping out in his attire looking at bucky who was a suit. "Well it's just a hunch but considering how close the name is maybe she was talking about Howard stark." Bucky replied fixing his cufflings. "A little over dressed?" He asked showing off to steve who shook his head knowing the obvious reason that buck was showing off. "Nope, not at all" steve said grabbing his coat before opening the door "might as well give up then" he sighed to himself knowing that she would obviously fall for Bucky and not himself.

They caught a taxi from Brooklyn to the city having to stop a couple blocks from the hotel do to expo traffic. They walked in on schedule seeing the plqce empty except for one blue haired beauty before they loked at each other. "Seems empty on such a busy day" Bucky said, steve now feeling like he should bother them. Bucky had noticed the dress something about it catching his eye though not sure what as he pushed steve forward "thought I was a little over dressed" Bucky laughed thinking he was an idiot for dressing so highly

Krystal smiled and chuckled. "I think you both look handsome, though, stevie, you poor thing." she said, looking worried. She winked at them for a moment, the smiled. She put a hand on steve's face where the bruise is, and it emitted a bluiish glow, healing it. "Now, that's better, isn't stevie? Hope you two can keep a secret." She admitted, the bluish light spreading, healing his frail body. Krystal had al ways been a worry wart about those she loves, and though she'd only metbthem yoday, she already loved them.

Steve and Bucly watched in awe seeing the blue light glowing from her hands, Steve felt his face no pain coming from where the bruise was. The glow got bigger feeling his body relieved from the healing power "wow" bucky said looking at steves face as the glow dimmed. Steve felt around his body where the pain was coming from now feeling nothing. He looked at her thanking her though the pain of knowing she most likely thought of him as a child in need hurt a littld more then the physical pain did.

Krystal smiled, blushing slightly. "Just something i've always been able to do." she admitted, hopping behindbthe counter. She made quick work of the milkshakes, making 3 of each flavor. She wasn't sure what they would prefer, so she just made all of them. She smiled at them again, kevatating a tray of vanilla, strawberry and chocolate milkshakes yo them. "Take your pick" she said, an obviously strawberry one in her hand. Krystal was curious about what they thought of her, but wasn't sure how to ask. She really did like them both. "Oh, stevie? Don't take the healing thing personally. I don't see you like a kid, i just worry about people i like. For some reason, I like you both, even aftetr only just meeting you." She admitted, blushing deeper as she crossed her legs, sitting on the counter.

Neither of them could say a word seeing that as an absolute stunning and breath taking sight. Steve however blushed when she said the exact opposite of what he was thinking as he took the vanilla shake from her hand and thanked her. "I wasn't thinking that" he said lying though it was clear as day by his expression.

Krystal smiled softly, relaxing as took a sip of her milkshake. She was sure they thought her weird for somehow knowing steve's thoughts. She hadn't read them, she was just very perceptive. While she had the ability to read thoughts, she wouldn't use it. It would be rude. she sipped her milkshake again. "So, tell me about yourselves? I'd love to know more." She said, smiling.

Steve looked at bucky who was laughing at how red steves face was, though bucky now realized he and his best friend thought of her in the same way he still intended to find out more about her before doing anything. Bucky took the left over milkshake sitting down at the counter answering her "Well not much to tell really we've lived in Brooklyn for most of our lives and have been best friends since childhood" Bucky said shrugging at the fact there wasn't much to tell. Steve nodded taking a sip of his shake before continuing. "He's right the only real interesting part is we both intend to join the army and that hasn't worked in our favor yet" he said looking to bucky who was shaking his head "you mean it hasn't worked in your favor yet I've already been asked I just have to go in for the test and I'll be on my way" he said looking at the wall almost blankly

Krystal raised an eyebrow. "I'm sure you'll get in Stevie." she said, hopping off the counter and kissing his cheek. She really liked both of them. She looked at Bucky, her eyes full of worry. She sensed something aweful on the horizon for him. She put her soft cool hand on his cheek. "Please be careful, onyx." She didn't know why the name slipped out, but the feeling was all to familiar. Watching her lover leave her and die in war, leaving her pregnant. The baby died though. The memory flashed though her mind, and she swore he saw it to. Things were about to get interesting.

"Who's onyx?" He asked seeing her expression change from happy to full of worry. His head pulled back as she put a cold hand on his cheek seeing her thoughts rhushing through his head though from onyx's point of view. What was she to onyx, more importantly what did bucky have to do do with it" The visions ran through his head with the familiarity of each memory being all to real. Steve watched in awe as the two began to had started glowing though probably not purposefully a hazey figure began to entwine with bucky's body his sui turned into the garments of a king and his hair lengthened as he started to look different. The picture seemed like a hologram not taking the body of bucky but as if it was a layer over him.

The man who steve could only think of as onyx grabbed her hand pulling it from his cheek. He didn't speak or do much else all he managed to do before dissapearing into Bucky's body was nod to krystal. It was obvious what he was trying to do however and even someone who had never felt love before could tell that he had nodded to tell her he was her inside the body that she held now. It didn't help steve's situation having fallen for her in the mear few seconds of her saving him earlier but he couldn't part destiny. Nonody dead or living could screw with what path that had been set since the moment they were born whether it be by god or another reason.

Krystal looked at Bucky. "It is a long story" she said simply, blushing at how she had called him onyx. He looked so much like him though, even down to his peircing stormy grey blue eyes. She hadn't intended to call him that, it just slipped out. She knew the look she gave him all to well, as it was that of pain and worry. Many nights she had woken up crying from nightmares of onyx's death.

Krystal could remember the dream like she had been there, and maybe in a way, she had been. Onyx wore gleaming black armor with a large shining golden dragon on it, sword cocked in defense. He had been surrounded by enemy soldiers, and had managed to kill most of them, but more came. He was cornered by the very general that had sworn to protect him, but had switched sides for money. The one man that Onyx had always trusted betrayed him. There was a great sword fight, but alas, son of dragon did not survive the wound. Krystal hadn't been able to save him last time, but this time she vowed to. "I'll keep you safe this time, my onyx knight" she said just above a whisper, hand still on his cheek, unintentionally showing him the nightmare she had been living with for the past 4 centuries.

Krystal looked up at bucky, startled as he grabbed her hand. She wasn't sure what to do, feeling as though she needed to cry. Tears streamed down her face as she looked at him, her body shaking slightly. "I've never seen a human reicarnate, yet Onyx, you are here." She whispered, not sure what to do now. This was awkward to say the least.

Onyx had disappeared all too soon having left her in bucky's hands, he dropped off the chair pulling krystal in closer. He had never seen anything like it, a dream shared to him through touch, it had seemed that it was just science fiction, but he saw it more importantly he had been watching through onyx's eyes. The movements made through out the dream weren't his own but he had been in the mind of the man who did. Steve stood up standing behind krystal, he didn't know why she was crying but he wanted to help in someway in case she fell.

Bucky let go not knowing the form he had taken 30 secomds prior to this moment but she was crying and he wasn't going to let that happen. He had just met her but the connection was growing especially after the dream whatever pulled them together pulled hard and told him to stay with her.

Krystal looked up again at bucky, her eyes curious. "Bucky, did you just see what I did?" She asked, unsure. She knew this was a longshot, and she hadn't ever seen a mortal reincarnate. She had lived almost 2,000 years, and never in her lifetime had she seen someone come back like this. She held tighter to bucky almost instictively. She looked up at him again, her eyes asking if ut was alright to kiss him. She had wondered about how kissing him would feel since the moment she saw him. The resemblance now wasn't just uncanny. He is Onyx. "You promised You'd come back to me, and you have onyx. What took you so long. 4 lonely centuries, son of dragon!!"

He had seen the dream but nothing but didn't know what to think about it "yea I saw the dream" he said not sure how to explain it. Steve watched from behind feeling a little on edge from all of this, he turned his back walking out the door and standing against the wall. Bucky looked behind him quickly to see steve leave but quickly returned his attention to her when she called him onyx again. He didn't know what to say everything was moving too quickly to react, he grabbed her arms that tightly wrapped around him pulling them lightly held her arms to the side locking eyes with her now "Look, Krys I'm happy that you like me but I'm not onyx, I don't even know an Onyx" he said hugging her again "I'm sorry" he said still holding him close

Krystal looked at him curiously. "You did. Curious." She admitte, not really sure what else to say. She knew he was Onyx, even if he didn't yet. She could sense inside him the spirt of onyx. She gave him a very light kiss and blushed. "Things are not always as they appear my dear buckeye." She said, smiling at him. She could just he was good with a gun, like onyx had been with a bow. She looked out the window. "I've hurt stevie's feelings, haven't I?" She said softly, looking worried. She hadn't wanted to make either of them sad. She adored both of them. Krystal hugged him back, then pulled away. "You and stevie. Come to my place. I want to show you something buckeye, and i want to make it up to steve." she said, walking out the door. She sood next to steve. "Stop moping stevie. There's enough of me to go around. " she said nonchalantly as she gave his cheek a kiss. She didn't really understand the way love worked in this dimension. To her, it was perfectly fine to have both of them as her own.

"The expo will be here for a few more weeks so we cam do that" he said staying back as she talked to steve. Steve looked at her and laughed slightly "thanks but while that works where you come from it doesn't work on earth" he said more distraught then rude. He smiled at her though deep down he was extremely saddened by the fact both bucky and him fell for her. "Thank you but I'll be fine" he said looking inside to bucky who was watching them smiling at how much she cared for each of them. He seemed a little more open to her having them both but knew steve would be a little less then anxious to share probably feels he would be stealing her.

He looked outside again seeing the lights from the expo and then walked outside. "Which room is yours?" He whispered into her ear talking about how she was currently staying in the hotel wanting to meet them up there once they had finished talking.

Krystal nodded, kissing his cheek before walking out to see steve. She tilted her head, confused. "I thought mortals were all for sharing? Well, it matters not. Though, I really don't wanna choose..." she said in sort of a ramble to herself, startled when bucky came close. She had known he was waiting behind them, but still the closeness sent chills down her back. "Penthouse suite. Kobayashi hotel. Its ny hotel." she admitted with a blush and a soft smile. Krystal didn't like flaunting how rich she reallybwas, especially since america had just come out of a depression. She wanted to seem as normal as possible, though able to spoil her friends rotten. Krystal had always loved giving presrnts.

"Yes humans are all for sharing but not when it comes to love, That's something that should be kept between two people not multiple" Steve said more for the sake of seeing bucky happy with her then himself. At this point for him it seemed like the only reason she was coming after him was because he was causing a scene. He didn't know that she actually could love multiple people do to fae ancestry all that mattered to him right now was bucky's happiness. Bucky looked baffled at the fact it was hers but he wasn't going to ask questions "I'll wait by the suite" he said thinking there talk would take a bit though he wondered what she had in store for two men she had met that same day.

Krystal made a face. "I don't get it." She said simply to steve's comment, playing with one of her hair tails. In her culture, multiple partners had been the norm for as long as fae had been around. To her, it was nothing to fall for both of them. She fell for Steve because of his unending courage, and she fell for Bucky because he reminded her of Onyx. She respected steve's motives, but she didn't agree with them. "I like you both, Stevie. Why should I have to choose?" She asked, nodding at bucky, giving his hand a squeeze. In that quick touch, she told him just what to tell the concierge, to tell him he was sent by penguin to wait for her. Anyone who was close with Krystal called her that, and it wasn't common knowlege, as she only had a few close friends in the mortal realm. The concierge would know would know to back off by just the nickname.
