Steve mumbled something unintelligible and snuggled deeper into the covers. "hangover.... shhhh." Steve ordered sluggishly, making Pepper chuckle softly. "too much chocolate hun?" "worth it... awesome. shhh." Pepper chuckled again and shook her head, kissing both men on the temple before heading off to get some hot Coffee and breakfast, which was what was leftover from dinner. Pepper was many things but a chef she was not. Steve mumbled and drank well more than his fair share of the Coffee. not that it mattered since Pepper didn't drink it and went to make more once it was gone. Steve also devoured most of the food and shuffled into the kitchen to make more when that was gone. by the time he'd eaten fifteen eggs and a package of bacon he appeared to be much more sociable and in a much better mood. he of course made food for the others.
the closer to Christmas they got, the more anxious and fidgety Steve became. Pepper knew why and she was taking shelter in the tower while Steve tried his dampness to not beg Tony to reconsider. after all, Tony didn't NEED Extremis right? couldn't they be proactive and inject Tony with it after they defeated Killian? the closer to Christmas he got, the more he twitched and fidgeted and squirmed until Pepper started threatening to drug him with so much chocolate he didn't know his name for a month. Steve wasn't sure if he actually believed her or not.
