A Niche in Time

As the above post says, my department had been mostly closed for two weeks. Well, here we are, still mostly closed. Well, maybe not mostly, but we're still not fully open. Things haven't changed that much. The repairs still need to be made. Now you can add to that the ceiling leaking in the back of the bakery side. Two ceiling tiles are also pushed out of the way. Plus, the dishwasher, which is right where the ceiling is leaking, is not working. So literally, we are having issues from the ceiling to the floor. Last night I left four hours early, as they had scheduled me to work alone from 2 to 10. I said my favorite word up there. It's a four-letter word. So brace yourself. lol. Nope. I used personal time and came home. Now I'm off today, and I'm taking a vacation day tomorrow. So yay for me. lol. It's not much, but it's something. Those who know me know I don't have days off. 99% of the time, when I'm off from my job, I babysit for free for someone in my family. I take my laptop with me, as he and I both play games together online. lol. So I don't get a day off. So I try to ask for a day or two each month to recharge my batteries. Most people have a day or two off a week. I get that a month. It's been that way for almost a decade now. I'm adjusted to being tired and run-down. On another note, I will have five days off in October around my birthday. So yay! A vacation. I'm not going anywhere, but I won't be at work. I will babysit two of those days. The other three will be mine. All mine. By then, we should be open at work. So the vacation will be even more appreciated.

Things here on BMR are moving along. I now have three active rps in the works. One in pm with @Break Her Slowly. Oh. My. Gosh. All I have to say is if you get the chance to work with this person, DO IT! Such an amazing writer. I can't think of words that do this person's work justice. I have been so blessed for the chance to work with him. He is beyond talented. Talented doesn't even begin to describe him. Each time I get a reply from him I feel such a combination of emotions. Happiness for getting to read it. Nervous because now I have to write something worthy of another reply, and nervous because I have to write something that can try to stand up next to what he's written. lol. One in email with @Tyr . He and I go way back, having worked on a few rps here and there. This is another writer that I highly recommend working with if you get the chance. His work is thoughtfully crafted, providing the experience that you are there, watching this, if not feeling it yourself. He is a master storyteller. I have one in thread with @Reydan . *Sighs* Rey. Again, this is someone that I recommend working with if you get the chance. We survive the time gap that is there, as he is UK man. The ocean that separates us doesn't slow us down from wanting to work with each other. We have completed a couple of rps. All I have to say to him is Red. lol. Red was an interesting character that I had the pleasure of working with that he crafted, and clearly it was memorable. All of these writers are the cream....of the crop here at BMR. They are talented and understanding if you need a slow posting schedule. They are understanding if you need to be away from the rp for a while, and they can return to it when you are. They are exactly what I need, and I thank them all for that. BMR, they are part of what makes you a great site to be on, and they're why I keep coming....back. Have a good day BMR.

Wow.. such unbelievable stunning words from @AndNich123 who it has been an absolute pleasure working with on our story for the last nearly 4 years now. It is currently my longest going roleplay. I can remember back when we started together and my reactions after the intro you wrote and just being in awe, fearing when you got my reply, you would lose interest. I was just starting out then. Thankfully, you stuck with me, and working with you inspired me to go read your past works which are as absolutely amazing as your writing abilities. You gave me some props and recognition but none of it would have been possible without you being such a wonderful partner. For that i say thank you. If anyone has the opportunity to work with this gem, I highly suggest it.

I'm going to echo the words of @Break Her Slowly (whom I've never interacted with): Andi is a wonderful person and a very talented writer. Unfortunately real life has gotten in the way hard over the past 12-18 months (or more) and drawn us apart as writing partners, but the times I have written with her I've very much enjoyed...she's insightful, engaging, works ideas and plots with you, not afraid to offer opinions on where things might go...and produces some damned fine work.

If you do take a chance on approaching Andi to do some writing...you won't regret it.
