What game are you playing now?

Replaying Fallout 4 again, had to flush out all the outdated mods i had and start over with groupings that work together. kind of a pain, but the game is so much more fun with mods.

I've been playing Combat Master and Oblivion Remastered. Combat Master reminds me a lot of old school COD with it's game modes and gun play. It's a lot of fun, especially with their version of gun game. Add me on Steam! (dusk1235) I need people to play Dead by Daylight with. 🤘

I remember when the Series came out and FO4 sales increased dramatically. If not for the texture pop-in and engine, it has so much potential

yeah, I had high hopes for Fallout-themed RP when the series came out, as spikes of interest generally follow a lot of TV media when its fresh out the oven. Unfortunately, I never really found a place to RP my Raider gal.

Apologies you've not found those who would RP in that particular genre and I've had that when trying a Fallout/Post apocalyptic RP also.

Once a person finds out the basics of Fallout, it's not a complicated story as anything can happen in Boston..

no worries, I've moved on to other fandoms.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is what I meant. And I think it will be coming to gamepass -- Though Dead Cells was one which stood out
Oh, right. Yes, I didn't play Odyssey, Valhalla, Origins, Unity, or Mirage. The last one I loved was Black Flag, and at some point I will play Syndicate and Shadows.

Black Flag was epic. Retaining the classic feel from AC 2 (back on Windows 7 when I played many years before) with naval combat hard to beat, firing four pistols and the locations were well done.
I did try a bit of Syndicate and that's brutal with the melee. Yet Odyssey was one where you get exceptional value and learn about Ancient Greece, climbing pretty much anywhere, diverse combat, randomized events and more. Valhalla - not worth it after reading reviews.

Brotherhood was probably my favorite and Ezio is easily my favorite protag among them... but yeah, they sound cool.

I enjoyed the multiplayer in Brotherhood I think it was. The models were nice.

I try not to let reviews dictate too much. Too often have reviews said, "This game is a 4/10." And I play it and love it. I go by what I see and then what I experience. Reviewers can claim to be experts of narrative and a game's worth. They aren't experts of what I like and don't like.

If a game looks good enough for me, I'll try it.

That's true about reviewers being biased or uncertain about game 'x'. I'll admit, when I saw Odyssey, I wasn't sure but glad to have gotten into it. Though if I had a choice of Doom, I'd probably go with DOOM 2016 instead of say, Eternal. Dark Ages does show promise and blew my mind.

Having the Ezio outfit and recreating scenes from taking a leap of faith, running along rooftops and using the weapons is always fun.
Sorry if I'm taking up the section with the replies.

I never pay attention to game reviews. I've played games that have been given accolades by critics and community alike, and wound up hating them. And then i find some indie game that I never hear anyone even so much as whisper about, and love it. lol

Yep. They are just people playing a game. The only difference is, some of them don't even want to play the game but have to, because it's their job. A lot of this reflects in their reviews. Take what you see, and make your own decision.

If you see a game and hate how it looks and how the controls seem to work, maybe don't invest, or see if there's a demo, or borrow it from a friend or something.

Even watching part of a let's play, or the first 10 minutes of Game Whatever can make a difference.

We're here to talk. And here specifically to talk about video games, so I think you are okay.

Seeing gameplay footage on certain consoles to make sure it runs well. Doom Eternal was good before the next-gen update and stuttered too much. Whereas Doom 2016 can hold at 60fps on a Series S without breaking a sweat.
Sure, MP isn't available, but there is plenty to do in the campaign, along with difficult based achievements. Ultra Nightmare - if you see classic Doom on YouTube with Nightmare, it gives you an idea.

I played Doom in 2016 and finished it, never went back. I thought it was fun enough, but nothing that blew my mind. My husband loved it.

I'm planning to go through the Arcade mode and go for three playthroughs with the difficulty. An imp can kill with one fireball on UN....

Am I mad? Perhaps
My backlog is astronomical and I am sure I will expire on this earth before even making a dent in it. When I started making money, and got purchasing power, I was buying EVERYTHING.

My point being that unless I absolutely love the game, like Stellar Blade or Red Dead Redemption 2, I am probably not replaying it.
