What game are you playing now?

Moved onto Kingdom Hearts II after beating the first one. Overall my previous feelings on Kingdom Hearts were true to the end. The game has a lot of charm, but is kind of clunky in the game-play department. If it weren't for the camera, it would play very well.

Kingdom Hearts II is a very notable improvement on the first game when it comes to game-play. Controlling the camera with the right analog stick is more fluid, and it no longer catches on walls and objects. However for all of the advances in how the game plays, and even the general production value, it loses a lot of the charm and atmosphere of the first game. Everything is sharp, cool, and complicated in Kingdom Hearts II. It makes me miss the measured simplicity of the first game. I don't feel like I gain anything from every aspect of the game being more complicated, but no more in-depth.

Finally, I've been playing Fallout 4 again. After losing my HDD, I had to re-mod it. That task took me no less than eight hours of scouring Nexus, installing, and testing. I was really excited to find a mod for half walls, but I can't get it to work properly. I also found and Ares Predator pistol mod, which makes the Shadowrun fan in my delighted. Made some improvements to my character's face, and finally got around to using a CBBE body with some body-slide outfits. Don't know if I'll actually beat the game this time, considering I've started it over nearly a million times. No lie. Totally true fact.

fallout 4 seems to be sucking in a lot of people again - including myself. i've got this decoration bug up my ass about making starlight drive-in my very own diamond city. it's become a giant pain that i can't shrug off, because everything just looks so goddamn amazing afterwards.

i definitely appreciate the game developers who go in and add everything in its spot - especially the little funny set ups they do, with the teddy bears. it's fucking hard work. i mean, i only have so many tools to my disposal for decorating the way i want to (and you're technically not supposed to), but still. fucking. hard.

Overwatch... Hearthstone... Just finished Quantum Break.

I can't believe Gamestop isn't doing a midnight release for No Man's Sky.

WHAT!

Got the digital release of No Man's Sky on release. Absolutely amazing game, definitely would recommend. Dog fighting controls seem a little clunky though :/

I took my PS3 out recently and started playing Oblivion.

I know some ES fans like to give Oblivion shit (and it has aged a bit) but after Fallout 4... I honestly feel people should be hoping for a game like Oblivion.

I'm playing Settlement Builder. It's a neat game where travel a wasteland. In it you are given frequent orders to liberate a settlement, and then build it up. Building things requires resources, so a large percentage of your time is also spent trying to get enough resources to finish building.

Wait, my bad, I'm playing Fallout 4. I know I mentioned that already, but I just feel like complaining. I wish the game didn't even have the settlement crafting. I would have preferred if you had the option to delegate resources, manpower, and scope instead. The settlements would instead build themselves, with pre-baked buildings of a slightly randomized nature popping up in pre-determined locations. You could decide that a settlement will have a heavier focus on agriculture, or perhaps it will be a Minuteman outpost, or training center. Allowing your settlers to have some agency in actually building each settlement would make them feel more organic and natural, despite the less organic and natural method of having each settlement build.

As it is now, the game is just too broken up between doing the fun stuff and building yet another settlement. I simply cannot build a crappy settlement, because of my own mental issues. I need to make it look at least half decent. In doing so I'm in a constant battle with the supply limit, which I could increase, but at the cost of performance.

I'm really considering playing Skyrim again. Also, Kingdom Hearts II is till a fine game.

Been playing Riders of Icarus, Guild Wars 2 and SpeedRunners.

SpeedRunners is basically your average run-of-the-mill Friendship Ending Simulator where it's you and up to three other people all taking turns trying to fuck the other guy out of a win however possible all while you're going as fast as humanly - sometimes inhumanly - possible. Win three rounds and you win the match. There's your standard quick match, ranked match or if you're not in the mood for either, you can play a custom match for you and three friends of yours.

If you're thinking there's a story mode, there is. It's just not much to write home about, other than it's there to basically prep you for multiplayer.

For Riders of Icarus, I'd say it's good, but it isn't. I'd say it's outright horseshit, but it's not. Combat may feel clunky and sluggish, but it is responsive, depending on what class you're running with. Storywise, it's pretty forgettable, but there are some pretty big boss fights. But for as much of an open world as this game claims to have, you may run into a few invisible walls here or there, plus there's also regional max heights for flying mounts. I personally find it annoying as all hell, but ehh. As of currently, I got a 35th level Berserker and I'm running in a guild named DragonsDream.

Now for Guild Wars 2. This game I will admit to the fact that it has my soul as of right now. The maps are monstrous, the visuals are stunning as all hell, the combat is scorchingly quick but varied - again, depending on what class you're running with - and the lore is MASSIVE. But then again, considering the fact that the game's been out for over 12 years now, it's understandable. And the core game itself is free. The expansion's only 50 bucks, but the amount of content you're getting for the core expansion is big too, so it's well worth it. If you want even more content, you'll have to pay more, since there's two other versions of the expansion, Deluxe and Ultimate, respectively. But it's worth it in the long run, since you only have to pay for it all ONE TIME. Not many MMOs do that nowadays, believe you/me. Currently, I got an 80th level Warrior/Berserker, an 80th level Revenant - boosted it, but trust me, considering the amount of horseshit I gotta deal with, it's worth it, too - and a 56th level Elementalist and I'm a part of two guilds, one a friend of mine made and a friend of hers, too. And that's another thing. You can be a member of up to five guilds. It'll be a pain in the ass to manage, but so long as you keep an eye on the tabs, you'll be fine.

Other than that... Not much else. Of course, I've also been playing Brutal Doom and it's many mods and variants. Some strange ones, some awesome ones, but hey, I can't play the new DOOM 2016 on my potatoey laptop right now, so I figure it's a good enough substitute. On top of that, I've been in a bit of an ultraviolent mood as of recently.

Started up Dying Light. It's... okay. There are times when the game ventures into exciting territory, but the freerunning can be wonky at times and the combat eats deep fried tampons. I'm told it gets better as you level, but... we'll see.

Doom 4 though... Doom 4 is fucking amazing.

The gameplay, the lore, the speed, the sheer fucking FUN that explodes from every encounter, and the boundless gore that paints the battlefield... the only issue I have is that the soundtrack just isn't... metal enough. At least not so far.

Give some people enough time and effort and they'll put together a cover for the soundtrack.

The main two games I'm playing a lot of at the moment are SMITE and World of Warcraft. I pre-ordered Legion, so I can't wait until August 31st (here in Australia) for it to be released.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

A random act of kindness has allowed me to play this game, because it was gifted to me on Steam. I'm enjoying it a great deal, although it doesn't exactly run all that swell. If you liked Human Revolution, then I think you'll like this game. If you haven't played either game, then go play Human Revolution.

Well I know what I want in a new soundtrack:

I was playing Diablo II there for awhile, but I get bored of grinding after awhile, so I switched to Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines. This would be my third playthrough. My first playthrough I was Toreador, second was Malkavian, and this time I am playing Tremere.

After that, I'm gonna sink my teeth into The Witcher series. I bought the entire trilogy on steam for like $25 (No expansions, though). Those also have a lot of replay value so I look forward to another runthrough or two. :)

Painfully obvious, but I'll give you that one.

However, I do see where you're coming from. Sure, it's sludgy and farty as fuck. But does it invoke the feeling of being the badass that you've always wanted to be as you slog your way through miles of entrails, gallons of blood and mountains of corpses you just carved with the use of a chainsaw that's about the same size of a Volvo, atomized with the legendary BFG-9000, decorated the walls with a Super Shotgun-sized coat of red "paint", tore off a Pinky's tooth then stabbed them in the eye with it or fly into a frothing, rabid psychotic Berserk rage to then crack open an Imp's skull like a watermelon? Of course! Is it painstakingly perfect? Not on your life, it ain't. But lemme get one thing clear. It's good to see one of the forefathers of the Modern FPS coming out of retirement for one more go-around.

Started up No Man's Sky.

I know some people have been flinging shit, but I don't particularly mind it. I wasn't really hyped for the game so I didn't have any real expectations, so I guess that helps. What I've played so far has been pretty therapeutic.

Duelyst has consumed me.
Outside of that i just got Toxikk. Super good arena shooter.

Bouncing between Shadow of Mordor, GTAV and Payday 2.

Next month will probably be another set of games, I tend to bounce around to a lot of things within my gaming collection. I've been pretty good thus far, I have yet to buy a new game in months, but there's a slew of games coming out in the upcoming months that may sway me into buying more.
