His understanding salved her fears and made her feel better. He wouldn’t do something that would harm her. Maria fully believed that he loved her and Maria was starting to develop feelings for him as well. He was her protector, her provider, and her teacher. Slowly he was becoming everything to her. The lovely blonde snuggled closely to him as the wings enveloped her frame.

“Really?” she asked. “I always thought that sunlight would kill a vampire.” She gave him a look that showed she wanted to learn more about his race. Face to face with this gothic legend was more fascinating than what she imagined. “Please, tell me about being a creature such as yourself. You said that there were more. How many more?”

Her eagerness to learn made him smile, and he kissed her softly. "Bright light kills us, the UV rays are dangerous. But the early light isn't strong enough to kill us." He nuzzled against her. "We are mostly scattered, byt there are a few thousand of us out there, biding our time."

"And no, we don't know why we are biding our time. Maybe for a time that humans and Vampires can live together? I don't know. I just know that the time is soon."

Maria let out an audible sigh of relief. It meant a lot to her that they didn’t have to kill their victims and then she remembered the way it felt to be fed from, and she could see how a human could actually like it. She flushed a little. That would be something she would miss as a vampire.

She smiled at him. “Is that a possibility though? Not all of your kind will view humans as you do. We have to look like cattle to most of you. And I know that most humans would be terrified of a vampire.” She shook out her golden lock. They glinted as they caught the light. “I wonder what it is that they’re waiting for.”

HE smiled as he watched her, such interesting ideas that she had! He leaned forward, kissing her lightly as she let out a sigh.

Her questions half made him shrug. "I don't know what we are looking for." HE said softly. "It's just some sort of signal that will go off, something imprinted into each and every one of us." He laid back, stretching slightly on the bed. "Only some of us see humans as cattle. Some... see humans as much worse, or equivalent things. It's a sad truth. But those are few and far between, even on our standards."

The few mentioned frightened her. Her heart nearly stopped at the thought and she cuddled up closer to him. Dancing for creatures like him would be dangerous. She wondered if, although elegant, were vampires very animalistic. Alexander had claimed her to show that she was not up for grabs. She wondered, heaven help her, if others may try to claim his territory.

Maria scowled a little at the thought. She felt a little like an object now. She also felt highly desirable. Alexander thought that she was amazing enough and beautiful enough that other of his sort may try and take
her. Emotions were a strange thing.

“Thank you for protecting me,” she said suddenly, nuzzling against his neck, “vampires are dangerous beings and you made sure that no one would try to hurt me.”

He smiled as she thanked him, his arms pulling her form closer to his. "There shouldn't be anything to worry about, Cara Mia." He said in a soft, soothing voice. "They will listen to me regardless. Though you are a gem that needs to be protected, I doubt anyone would challenge me to that."

He kissed her, a soft, gentle kiss, but he didn't let it go. He held it as long as he could before he had to address another of her thoughts. "We aren't Animalistic... per say. We are instinctual, not bending to many wills. Though, there are few that we would bother to piss off enough to hurt us."

Maria smiled up at him. A gem? At that comment she felt beautiful and rare; something precious that was coveted. She giggled at the thought and snuggled up closer to him. Alexander was treating her like she was the most priceless thing in the world.

She became worried at the mention of those who would hurt him. “What do you mean by that? Are there other creatures aside from vampires out there?” The beautiful dancer wanted to know. Perhaps she could learn other things that would make her useful in protection.

((Gah, sorry for such the shitty post. My mind hasn’t been in it lately))
