He had waited for her to sit down before he said anything, letting her words echo in his head as me thought up excuses. "It has to be a injection, sadly." He said softly, turning his head and body slightly to face her. "It's a rather fast acting viral agent, from what I have read on it. A few people have died already because of it, so I want to make sure you are safe. I had to have these injections, as well.
"Of course, if you just want to go home, I can take you home, as well. Though, I would prefer not to, since I did promise you good work." He knew she wouldn't argue after that, so he stood, picking up the first syringe and getting the air bubbles out before walking over to her. "I know this will sting a little bit. Just close your eyes and tighten your jaw. It will only be a moment."
He was surprisingly quick with the injection. He slowly slid the arm of her jacket off, letting it hang on her left shoulder, before quickly poking her arm and injecting the vaccine. He put that syringe down on the table, picking up the second one, getting the air bubbles out before injecting her quickly with it. He rubbed it with a cotton ball to get the small drop of blood that escaped, the point of injection completely invisible, though it was probably sore.
"There. All done." He moved to his seat, sitting down and looking at her. "Now, what would you like to have for dinner?"
