Míchon barely had time to react as one of the bandits jumped on him, knocking him to the ground. The dark elf cried out in pain as the man's knife plunged into his side. He stabbed the bandit, using his own dagger, and struggled to get to his feet, holding his wound. More bandits were closing in.

Erica had her sword out in an instant, hacking and slashing through the crowd that sprang up around her. "Gale!" she called out, knowing the assassin was faster than her. "Help Míchon!"

The bandits dropped dead and fell down to the ground without being a real challenge. More stormed out of the forest and ran towards the group of adventurers like there was a bandits den nearby. They kept on swarming the group without harming them. It was like they weren't even trying to defend themselves despite the fact that they did their best to win. Maybe they just sucked there was a connection to the aura that was surounding their bodies. The bandits were moving like puppets which got controlled by a puppeteer. Their movement was kinda stiff and they were more missing than hitting anything with their swords and axes. A wave of arrows was raining down from above, but not a single arrow hit its target. The hidden archers weren't even trying to aim and just shot untill they ran out of ammo before they drew their swords and joined the battle.

Gale heard Erica and nodded his head, looking for the dark elf and finding him surrounded and injured. Charging up some shadow magic in his hand, he advanced, stuffing the ball of energy into one bandit's face, making his head explode. Turning himself invisible, he went on a rampage, slicing and dicing with his kunai all of the bandits. Then, he looked at his newest friend. "Are you alright?"

[[Bandits all around dropped like flies. Despite the growing amount of corpses, more kept coming, attacking from all sides.]]

Míchon fought hard despite his injury. He looked in Gale's direction when he heard the man's voice. The dark elf gave a half-hearted grin "Just peachy. How about you?" He stabbed through a bandit about to chop at Gale with her axe. "Something's off with these guys. It's like they're being controlled or something."

Though she took a bit longer to cut through her enemies, Erica fought her way towards Gale and Míchon. "Are you guys- Míchon! Look out behind you!" she yelled.

She slashed through her last few enemies in time to see the bandit's sword pierce Míchon's back and exit through his chest. He looked down at the blade in surprise, then back up at Gale, before collapsing face-first onto the ground.

Gale grinned at his response and continued to slice away at the bandits. "I figured that by that glowing aura." His magic blasted away a bandit and he smiled as he saw Erica fighting her way toward them. Then, he saw Michon get stabbed, and he met Michon's eye when the dark elf looked up to his eyes. He gripped the rope of his kunai tight, and then charged up a ball of shadow magic, blasting off the bandit's legs, then his arms. Finally, he stabbed him in the chest over and over with the weapon he had, continuing long after the bandit had died.

[[With the dark elf down, a lull came upon the fighting. The mind-controlled bandits stood around watching the adventurers, still at the ready.]]

Erica rushed to Míchon's side, taking in just how bad the wound was. "Gale, do we have anything that can heal this?!" She carefully turned him over so she could see the exit hole. She tried covering both holes with a cloak from her pack, but the blood flow quickly soaked it, making it ineffective. "He's gonna bleed out..." she said.

Míchon stared up at Erica. "Don't... bother..." he said. "Blade... had my... name... on it..."

Kay came jumping out of the bushes looking a bit different than before, a little more developed though not quite all the way matured. Her wings had grown in size to become somewhat useful, beating against the air rapidly to let her hover a few moments and start blasting the horde of bandits with beams of pink energy. She strafed the clearing like a wicked sick Apache helicopter, making as many pew-pew noises as she could manage. With each zap or kapowie, her breasts shrank and her hips slimmed until she was once again a childlike demon with totally useless wings. She plummeted out of the sky and landed like a lump, though she'd managed to take down enough bandits to give the group a momentary rest from the fighting.

"H-hey, is he alright?"

---------------

Back in town, Maddie watched Shiana get dragged off by the big warrior guy. Huffing in frustration, she started wandering off from the quest board in search of some purpose. It seemed like just when she'd found some new friends, everyone had run off and left her alone again. Without really thinking about it, her wandering took her to the town's cemetery, and she sat against one of the tombstones wondering what her purpose was in life.

[[A hand burst through the ground next to Maddie's hip, grabbing onto her leg.]]

Erica looked up at Kay, tears in her eyes, and shook her head. She looked back down at Míchon. "Don't talk like that. We'll get you to a healer. You'll be fine." She ran a hand through the dark elf's white hair.

Míchon pushed her hand away. "It's... too late... musta hit... my heart..." His eyes started misting over. "Wish I... coulda... told... Lena... I..." He trailed off, his eyes closing and his head turning to the side.

Gale saw the life leave Michon's eyes and get gripped his kunai tightly, looking up at the sky all dramatic like and shouting to the heavens. He then slowly lowered his head, stabbing his weapon into the ground and making his way over to his dead friend, gripping him in his arms and sobbing slightly.

Erica stared at Míchon's body, hoping that he was playing a trick on them. "Mí-Míchon?" she asked. When she saw how limp he was in Gale's arms, she knew that it wasn't a trick. He truly was dead. Her crimson eyes shut, tears freely flowing, and she laid her head on Gale's shoulder as they both mourned the loss of a friend.

A young man watched the scene from a distance, outside the range of the trap. When he saw the two lovers, a male human and a dragoness, holding the body of a male dark elf, he chuckled. "Good. One of them is dead. 'Very well done, Alexander,' Master'll say. 'Very well done indeed...'" He walked off, his head held high.

Magnolia had thrown fireballs at the bandits and killed them one by one. She saw how one of them killed Michon and used her lightning spell to kill the remaining men all at once. It was her first time that she had succesfully used the spell chain-lightning. Magnolia rushed towards the others and watched the sad scene in front of her. She couldn't do anything since she knew only damage dealing magic. And her healing potions weren't strong enough to heal a lethal wound. If only a necromancer or a healer was there who could bring him back from the dead...

Even though he was a good distance away, Alex felt Magnolia's chain lightning attack. Stumbling, the young wizard turned back towards the battlefield. "Chain lightning?! I thought that spell was impossible!" Gathering up some of his energy, he teleported onto a tree branch just above the group of friends.

However stealthy he thought he was being, he forgot that teleporting creates a burst of light. And he knocked a few dead leaves loose from the branch.

Kay's pointy little ears perked up. "My 'dramatic douchebag off in the distance' sense is tingling!" She scanned the edge of the clearing, her finger outstretched like a divining rod until she felt a tiny twinge of dramatic irony. "There!" She reached into a pouch on her belt and pulled out a long wooden dildo, flinging it end over end into the bushes at the spot from whence the ominous douchebaggery emanated.

Maddie reached down and stroked the hand that grabbed her thigh. At least she could always count on the dead to enjoy her company, even if they were a bit grabby at times. Unlike the living, the corpse's hand felt warm against her skin and she sighed, wishing she could understand the things that made the living lust for one another.

Gale felt his own tears slowly roll down his cheeks, the salty fluid being absorbed by the fabric of his mask. He felt his lover's head laying heavy on his shoulder, and he raised a hand up to caress her hair a bit, to try and calm her and him. "Michon...I swear to you...I will destroy the men who did this to you..." He closed his eyes, feeling rage boil inside him and trying to control it. But it was difficult, he had just lost someone close to him. Then he felt the few dead leaves land on him, and he stopped, listening. He heard the creaking of a nearby branch, and that was all he needed. He grabbed the rope of his kunai and swung it in the direction of the branch, hopefully slicing the wood in two and causing the intruder to fall.

[[The dildo bonks Alexander on the forehead and he has just enough time to wonder what the actual fuck before the kuna thunks into the branch beneath him, not slicing it in two, but wobbling it just enough that he falls in a spectacularly disappointing display of fail]]

Alexander landed on the ground with a thud, knocking the wind out of himself. He lay there, groaning in pain, leaves stuck in his light hair. "Shit... really gotta work on my landings..."

Erica was on him in an instant, Míchon's dagger in her hand directed at his throat. Her eyes glowed with barely restrained rage. "Who are you?" she growled.

The young wizard's blue eyes locked with Erica's red ones. "Alexander. I'm a wizard." he stated, surprisingly calm for one who had a dagger at his throat. He smirked. "I controlled the horde that attacked you." The wizard gave a small laugh. "You were fools to toy with the plans of the Lord of Darkness."

Gale saw the wizard land and snarled, jumping on him and pushing his lover to the side, his focus only on this man who had murdered his friend. His eyes were glowing purple again, and he held the kunai up to Alexander's throat while his other hand charged a lethal shot of shadow energy. "Tell me why I should let scum like you live?"

Alexander smirked at the assassin. "Because, Gale, I know things about you that you wouldn't want your mate to know." His gaze shifted to the ball of shadow energy in Gale's hand. "Besides, I'm immune to shadow magic."

Erica let herself be pushed out of the way. She knew that she could lend support if Gale needed it. She paused, though, when Alexander said her love's name. "How... How do you know his name?" she gasped.

Gale stopped when Alexander said his name. Not many new what it was, and he should kill this wizard now while he had the chance. But the threat of him knowing what had happened...he could never let that loose either. He sighed, silencing the shadow energy and releasing the wizard from the ground.

Magnolia looked at the wizard when he fell out of the tree. She wanted to create a fireball and threaten him with it, but she was so drained thanks to her new spell that all she could do was casting a magical missile. Not every wich could use thesamd spells she was able to use, but that could easily be explained thanks to Lilith possessing her body in a way that no cleric, monk, paladin or exorcist could get the demoness out of her. Magnolia had stopped to look for any help and lost hope that she could have a normal life again and continue with her studies of the magical arts.

Alex stood and dusted himself off, still glaring at the assassin. He went over to Míchon's corpse and stared at it. The expression on his face said that he was fighting an internal war over what to do. After a while, the young wizard charged a spell in his left hand and slammed it down into the dark elf's chest.

Or, he tried to slam his fist into Míchon's chest. Erica tackled him before he had a chance. "Don't touch him!" she growled. "Or Gods help me I will kill you."

Alex just shook his head. "I was going to resurrect him, but if you don't want me to..."

Magnolia was amazed at the wizards words. Could he really bring Michon back from the dead? She walked towards Alex and took a closer look at him. "Let him do it. When he can ressurect Michon, then let him do it. And in case he tries anything funny...well, just let's say that Lilith could always need one more pet back at her home in the demon realm." Her skin turned red and horns began to sprout on her head while large leathery wings and a long demonic tail grew on the backside of her body. It was obvious that the demoness had no problem to take over the control of her hostesses body thanks her wanting to lose control this time. "My hostess is right, I could always use a new plaything to pass the time while I'm waiting to take over her body." She got close to the wizard and looked at him with a wicked grin. "You'd be a good addition to my harem of slaves...don't worry, they'll train you until I get back home, but I could summon you at any time I want..."

Kay bopped Alexander on the back of the head with a large metal spoon. "Bad wizard, bad!" she said, and kept bopping relentlessly. "He was gonna do the old 'bring back your dead homie and make him a sleeper agent' trick."

Gale watched this commotion with an analytical eye, his pupils darting between scenes of interest, from Kay to Erica to Magnolia/Lilith. He tried to think of the best course of action, but was having difficulty doing so with the white noise, and he gripped his kunai. "ENOUGH!" He boomed this word out, trying to get everyone's attention.

Kay bopped him once more with her spoon, just for emphasis. And also because he was kind of a twat.
