he grumbled. "don't you 'Sunshine' me." he grumbled. "so tired..." he complained, huffing when he was told to be careful. "...oh yeah." he admitted, looking a little surprised. "i forgot." he admitted, blinking a little. "i never was good at the whole 'different places have different time' thing." he admitted, wrinkling his nose. "i still don't get it... why does every place need a different time?" he asked, frowning a little. "oh, they'll believe it." he promised. "just tell them how hard it is to wake me up in the morning. i've actually run into doorways before my first cuppa. so it's not that hard to believe." he admitted with a smirk. "you'll see me do it i'm sure." he admitted as he drained the last of his cup. "besides, you'd have to hit me more than once, and i'd have to actually accuse you of abuse before you'd get in trouble for domestic abuse." he pointed out, watching the other carefully.
"your sore. you shouldn't have gone running." Evan muttered once they got home as he swallowed down the water, looking rather wrecked. he was very unhappy about suddenly stepping up his running and his whole body ached now. he knew he'd get used to it, but that didn't mean he was happy about it. he sighed happily as he slid into the hot water, playfully wrestling with Max for the best position with a grin. it was one of the few things he had missed about having something known as a friend. he hadn't had many really. he missed smiling and goofing around. he had to admit, he was suddenly really glad that he had almost been caught. guilt caught him and it made him pause. guilt? he'd never really felt guilty before. how odd. and then he realized why he felt guilty. he was lying to Max... shit. he was going to have to tell Max the truth. there was nothing else for it.
