Scaley Perversions {Cerebus & Fate}

Aeon slowly got to his feet and motioned for Archer and swift to help the girls out. "Im fine..my pet..lets go..we don't have time." even when near her it was obvious that Inferno had done something to his human side. He slowly followed the girls while Archer and swift moved on ahead to clear a path should anything stand in their way "Follow them, They know our path." The brother beasts knew how. One ran and slipped under Cassandra and picked her up running. "Hold on Im much faster then you." Aeon laughed abit but kept moving as Archer and Swift got Cassandra to the edge of the rift. "In ya go."

Sophitia nodded, though she still bent over and began helping the wounded/weakened lizardman toward the exit. The two up front did a praiseworthy job of clearing a path, making things easy for all. Besides that, Sophitia was glad to have a guide. Something about this world frightened her, made her feel weaker somehow. Moving forward like this made her feel a good deal more confident.

Cassandra yelped as she was scooped up, throwing her arms around the lizardman for support. She also favored him with a glare, though it held none of the sting of some of the looks she'd given them. As soon as they got to the rift, however, she was out of his hands and through first, sword at the ready.

Sophitia nodded for the two brothers to go, and as soon as they went, she turned to Aeon. A moment passed, along with a look between them, and then Sophitia went, hoping that the lizard chieftain was close behind.

Aeon followed Sophitia in and came out just a little while after before dropping to the ground and panting. it had taken a heavy toll on him and Inferno had done something to his human side. Archer and Swift looked over at Aeon and tilted their heads watching him. "Something doesn't seem right." "Ya boss you okay?" Aeon just laid there for a second, lightly thumping his tail against the ground trying to regain his strength and figure out why both sides were now in conflict with each other.

Cassandra was just glad to get out, and could care less about what had happened to Aeon. they had defeated the evil, and now they should be free. even better, Aeon appeared unstable and the two lizardmen weren't exactly fighters. They could leave without having to worry about consequences.

Sophitia, on the other hand, came to Aeon's side, resting a gentle hand upon his shoulder. "Something is bothering him," she agreed, her eyes flicking toward the other two, "I think Inferno did something to his human side. The pick might have extended further than just the body. It could be his mind at work too."

Sophitia rose, eying the lizardman. If he became too monstrous, she'd have to put him down. It surprised her to feel a pang of regret at the thought.

Aeon shook his head. "No..He..strengthened the Animal..side...Lets just get to the cave..." He coughed abit and slowly got up. "Archer, Swift..lead the way." He then started to follow them and looked at Sophitia. "I think a good..night..with you..should make the human side take..control." He coughed abit but kept walking forward always keeping an eye out. It was true Inferno made it so now his animal side would try to take dominance over his human side and make it a challange for him since he chose to free his friends and not be selfish which is what Soul edge drives for. selfishness, lust for power, corruption.

A good night. With her. Well, Sophitia would have to give him that. She owed him that much, at the least. Then she'd have to ask him the hard question, to let her and her sister go. They'd completed their mission. To keep them any longer would be a crime, something intolerable. Something told Sophitia that Aeon wouldn't resort to that, not when his human side was restored.

She nodded once, then followed the others through the rift into the normal world. Her sister was waiting, and nearly overwhelmed her with a happy hug. Sophitia patted the girl once, before setting her down, turning to watch for Aeon as the lizardman entered as well. One good night. With her. She would do it, and hopefully help him regain his humanity.

Aeon slowly made his way through the rift before getting out and dropping to his knees. He slowly gt back up and shook his head. "Im fine im fine." but in truth it was getting harder and harder for him to keep his animal side down. it had grown and grown, threatening to overtake Aeon and make him into nothing more then the beast he took the shape of. He growled out and looked at Sophitia and Cassandra. "Go..Run..Leave...me...agh.." he growled before his eyes shifted black. Just like all the other lizardmen.

Cassandra wasn't about to give her sister a choice this time. They'd been told to run and leave, and that was plenty for her. She grabbed onto her sister and began running away, dragging the older warrior along with her. As far as Cassandra was concerned, things had been finished. They'd done their deed for the lizardmen, destroyed the sword, and all was well in the world. Well, obviously all was not well with Aeon, but Cassandra didn't care.

Sophitia did run, trusting Aeon and Cassandra for the moment. She also spared a glance back, frowning. There had to be a way to break that curse. She'd almost been convinced that destroying Inferno would have done it. Perhaps they needed to seek out the gods' help...

Aeon let out a loud growl before looking at Archer and Swift who backed up abit before Aeon jumped them and started to attack. It was gone his human side had. It was as though the Spartan Soldier. Aeon Calcos had drifted from ebing anything then a mere lizard monster. Swift and archer tried to reason with him but there was no use. the human side of his mind had been over taken by the animal side. He had quickly made short work of what used to be his good friends as he sniffed the air searching for his next meal to keep him going.

Cassandra and Sophitia continued to hurry along the terrain. First they darted out of the mansion, leaving it quickly in their wake. Sophitia had enough sense to slam her sword against the entrance, knocking loose a pile of rubble, enough to distract the lizardman for a good five seconds. They then sprinted across the grasslands, hurrying toward town.

Sophitia heard the cries coming from the mansion and she shuddered at the thought. Poor Swift. poor Archer.

Aeon finished off Archer and swift quickly before puting his nose to the air and getting scents. it was ones he remembered somehow but his animal side didn't care. It rushed of following them. Aeon tried to hold back as he stumbled abit but the animal side kept running after them wanting that next taste of blood and carnage. It was the price he paid and he knew its what Inferno would do. To get something. something had to be given up. so to exchange his friends he would give up his human side.

The cruelty of it all sank into Sophitia's mind as she hurried along. Aeon had given up his human side in order to save them, but now it sounded as though he'd begun hunting them. She almost regretted the creature's death, because she would have loved to kill Inferno all over again.

Cassandra could see that they were nearing the village. Exhausted by the run, and feeling that they were close enough, not to mention fully armed, the girl leaned against a tree in a clearing, breathing deeply.

Sophitia gripped her sword, turning around, just in case Aeon managed to catch up with them during Cassandra's breather.

Aeon had caught their scent and traveled quickly through the grass after them before just standing feet away from them. But He didn't attack them. He just stood there watching them as if he was trying to regain and gain control. The lizard watched them and tilted its head. letting its tongue hang out but it wasn't as if he was hungry. Aeon just stood and watched their reactions as his human mind screamed for them to run. he had no clue what his animal side would do to them if he caught them.

The two women faced Aeon, weapons raised. the humanity that they'd grown used to appeared to be gone, leaving a monster that they were all too familiar with. It was that creature that had raped Cassandra. It was that creature that had bound both girls and used them as playthings. It was that creature that they held fear in their hearts for.

Cassandra screamed in defiance, diving forward, her sword raised high, determined to inflict harm upon the creature. Sophitia merely hung back, still staring, wondering if there was any other way.

Aeon watched Cassandra before jumping up once she lunged at him and landed on her shoulders then kicked her behind him. Still he didn't attack but all he did was walk forward watching Sophitia before turning and looking back to see what Cassandra was doing. His tail flicked from side to side as he watched the pair wondering what they were going to do and what his animal side was going to do. He just stood there watching them. The beast that had haunted them and held fear over them.

The two girls watched, noting that he didn't attack back. Surely they could fight him off, defeat him here and now. Cassandra gripped her sword, lunging again, her sword flicking out quick as an insect's stinger. Each thrust was aimed for weak spots that the girl had learned in her time with the lizards. when one held you tight to its body, you began to realize what was going on with their anatomy.

Sophitia held still for another moment, watching her sister, before joining in. Her blade flicked out then, her aim mostly being to disarm the creature and make him that much easier for the two girls to handle. Alone or not, Aeon was still dangerous.

Aeon kept dodging their strikes but it seemed like his human side was trying to hold back his animal side from attacking them because every time they struck he would move away from them avoiding their strikes but not striking back even when he saw an opening and even knew that they knew he had an opportune moment to strike. Aeon growled out at them but still kept from striking at them. either grabbing and throwing them to the side or jumping over them being missed by their deadly blades.
