Quae Questum Orbitae (World of the Elements)

There are three shops in this ghost town. The first one has a few raggedy clothes with lots of holes in them thanks to moths, the second one is filled with many different things which are so old that they turn into dust and the third one is a book store where you can find an old spell book. All the other books are written in an unknown language. You learned a new spell: acidic rain. What will you do now that the town is completely and entirely empty except for some old furniture?
 
There are a few glowing trees and other plants in the forest as well as animals with bioluminescence. Most of them are blind though and use echo location to find their way instead of walking straight into a tree. The creatures in these woods looo a little bit strange - wolves with the heads of snakes and tails of scorpions, a bat-bear and fireflies who are literally on fire without even getting bothered by it - walk or fly around. But what is the weirdest part is that they aren't attacking you...
 
You don't have to, the plants, some of the trees and all the animals emit enough light to illuminate the area around them. Your eyes help you to see them very detailed even from a distance.
 
You can see the light of the sun at the end of the forest and get blinded for a few seconds. The sand on the empty beach looks like crystals, exotic fish are swiming in the water and a few corals are so big that they are outside of the ocean.
 
A strange force pushes you back to the shore of the island you came from no matter how often you try to swim away. You can swim around in the water, but you can't escape without bumping into an invisible wall which returns you to the beach. There must be another way to get off of this island...
 
It takes you a while to get to the foot of the mountain where you can see two statues in front of a gate. Do you want to use your wings and fly to the top, walk past the statues or do something else?
 
The statues wake up and start to move slowly towards you as soon as you step past them. One is a winged gargoyle with the head of a sea serpent while the other guardian looks like the offspring of a behemoth and a dragon.
 
A strange force keeps you from using your wings and flying to the top of the mountain. The two living statues get slowly closer to you...
