Daniel stood up, brushing the dirt off of his knees. He looked around, and then smiled. There were tracks nearby, and that meant he might have something better for dinner than the supplies. But he somehow doubted that mary wanted to watch him kill and gut a rabbit. He nodded to her though.
"You're welcome. Come on. We should get back tot he cabin. There's animals out here that might not be friendly." He advised. He began to lead her back. On some level, he knew that she'd assumed he'd become a controlling jerk with no thought of her when she'd started to get the offer to leave for her work. To be honest, he'd been terrified. He knew that he wasn't made to live in somewhere like Los Angeles. And while she was there, she'd notice that for certain, adn cast him aside. She had been teh best thing that had phappened to him before, and that was why he wanted her back. It was the only way he could think of to do it.
He'd never been the very brightest around. Not stupid, but maybe a little slow at times. So he'd put this whole plan into motion to get Mary Alice back, and bring her to the pointof remembering that the two of them had been worth more than her job. Of course, he hadn't much idea beyond breaking her personality down a little. He would give her some breakfast when they got back. After all, she'd helped him. And then...then they would see. The cabin entered into view again, adn he sighed. Home again home again.
