"Mine." David said without looking back at Aaron. "Not even in the car yet, and you're inwardly pouting over being away from Sere."
 
David unlocked his car. "More like it's something that hasn't changed since the silver millennium. I'm just more used to it from her, having been her teacher and all."
 
David got in the car and started it. "Well, if it makes you feel any better, I'm currently likely as nervous about seeing Hermes as you and Spencer were with Alexander and Kenji."
 
David looked at him with an eyebrow raised. "You didn't really have much time to notice. It's not like I was able to be involved with Ami on the moon the way you were with Serenity." He sighed. "Just...never thought I'd be afraid of asking for an old friend's blessing for his daughter's hand."
 
David sighed. "Honestly, I don't know. I'm sure we'll figure out some sort of keyword or something to trigger his memories."
 
David chuckled. "Well if it comes to that point where we have to say something like that, then we might as well let Serenity be the one to break through. Her curiosity tied with her natural profiling ability might be enough to do it if the two of us can't on our own."
 
David glanced over when he caught the smile on Aaron's face, catching a glimpse of the bunny in Aaron's pocket and chuckled to himself.

The bunny had a little note rolled up in its hands that was for Aaron. The note read:
"Dear Lightning, in case you haven't figured it out yet, I've already forgiven you. Figured I'd give you something to keep you company while you're gone. Stay safe. Love, Bunny."
 
"She's clearly had plenty of time to hone her acting skills." David joked. "Because clearly you can't tell when she's making you sweat for fun."
 
David shook his head with a grin. "Duh. I was there when she took out Erin, remember? Not to mention seeing what she did to Emerald and hearing what she did to Bellatrix. No matter what you may do to piss her off, she would never go to those same extremes to punish you. Hell she got mad at you for forcing her to use an extreme on you. Can't say she'd give me or Spencer that same level of safety from her wrath." He chuckled. "But she'll never get pissed off enough to kill you. And she never stays pissed at you for long, does she?"
 
"I know that. I was referring to what Serenity did to Bellatrix before Krys killed her. Getting Bellatrix in her dreams, you gotta admit that's ruthless." He shrugged a bit as they pulled up at the airport. "Let Sere have her fun making you sweat. She's pretty much the only one who can on a regular basis anyway."
 
David parked the car with a grin and opened his door. "Come on loverboy, let's get on this jet so we can get you back to your princess asap."
 
David led the way back to the jet. Once they were on the jet, he settled in his seat. "I think I can tell you that if Sere hadn't taken out Erin, Ami would've. For someone who looks so innocent, she's been coming up with ways to make her ice more offensive.
