Infinite Anarchy MAIN THREAD ((Dominion Wanted!))

James watched as the bodies of the human beings began to drop. The Novus fell but got back up almost seconds later. He watched as he drew a weapon. James' eyes widened. He watched as the Novus began firing in the directions of the shots. Fuck! James got up and began running for the exit. The Solarian's were out of the room already and heading for their ship. Why them first? Perhaps they were the ones who green lighted the assassination. Then a thought hit, why would the Solarian's start war? What did they have to gain? Not to mention the assassin had killed the Solarian emissary. It stunk, it stunk very badly. James ran for the exit, pressing the button on his suit to bring up the mask so he could breath the smokey sky. He quickly linked his communicator to the dropship. "Open the doors! Shots fired, shots fired!" he called quickly.

"Where is the Admiral?" replied quickly, warming up the ship.

"He's dead, all the ambassadors are dead!" he said as the dropship doors opened and as James jumped in. "Get us to the 'Vibria' quickly!" he called to the pilot. The ship began rising as James pulled a lever and let the door closed. As the cabin became pressurized, James turned his mask off. He took a seat and ran a hand through his hair, letting out a shaky breath. He didn't think it would happen, but low and behold it did........the 4 factions were going to go to war. A war that would shake the universe.

As the others ran for their ships, the Dominion body guards watched as the Novus rose. Each soldier drew their swords. "Bastard machine! Clearly your kind has fired the first shots" yelled one as he came charging toward the Novus, blade above his head and ready to cleave the godless machine in half. The Dominion would know soon that things were wrong once their guards didn't come back, nor Lord Gaius. War was upon them all. Ships would be moving, invasions occuring, and only those that had ran would know what truly had happened, their words useless to their leaders.

As James finally relaxed, he sighed and looked up and out the window to the sight of the 'Vibria'. No doubt the moment they were aboard, they would warp to Terran controlled space with one of the nearest fleets and they would be given their orders. Where would they be sent first? Novus space? Solarian? Dominion? Or would they be sent to the Slate Zone to begin getting allies. The cogs of war were turning and soon people would begin dying.

N-02-117 turned and flicked out a barbed wrist blade catching the sword. This unit was made mostly of steel but a human that size could still cleave that sword through this unit, but it wouldn't be the easiest thing he did. N-02-117 merely flicks his wrist and disarms the brute easily since the human was catch off guard due to the Novus's quick movement.

After disarming the Dominion guard, using dominion military hand signals, N-02-117 does his best to convey this wasn't Novus and to call support in a north easterly direction. Not waiting for a response N-02-117 takes off, out the broken window, landing easily on the ground and running in the direction he just specified. He was hoping the Novus still wanted the uneasy peace. This unit was just doing what this unit believed to be the will of the Novus.

Ayana was panting for breath by the time she reached the main hall, the comforting pressure of gravity's grip had become a crushing weight, tiring her. "Stupid... Been too long..." She could feel her muscles begin to tingle and slowed to a jog as the tingle grew into an ache, grumbling between clenched teeth as she made for the doors.

A quick glance behind her told the Solarian pilot that the other ambassadors were making their escapes and she caught a flicker of gold amongst the figures. For a moment she experienced disorientation as Callista rose to her mind, promptly followed by the recollection of her headless body that Ayana willed away as best she could. That's the aide... What's her name..?

More shots were sounding from down the corridor, obviously powerful but of a very different timbre to the sniper's fire, someone in the room was retaliating.

She's not looking good... Ayana watched the Ambassdress' aide stumble, the marines nowhere to be seen. My responsibility to get her out of here...

Turning back, the pilot moved as fast as she dared without risking tiring herself, meeting the other woman partway along the hall. "Come on, we need to get out of here." She urged, offering her shoulder to lean upon and silently praying that her body would be able to take the extra weight. "Not far now..." She could see the doors and beyond them the landing pad. "Not far at all..."

The shots and shouts were escalating behind her causing Sidra's tummy to tighten as panic began to set in. This was a far cry from being in the safety of confines of the 'Apsis' while tending to any and all wounded on board there. Sure, she'd seen blood shed and the worst of wounds. But never like this... never like this. Her entire body shook as she tried to overcome both fear and the pull of the gravity as it tried to keep her down. With trembling hands, she pushed frantically at her dark skirts, desperately trying to adjust them so that she could scramble back upright to her feet. A few times she paused, covering her ears as she whimpered, terror coursing through her veins. Would she get out of this? Would she ever get off this planet where peace was supposed to have been found?

And what of Callista Eagan? The elder Solarian, the hopeful for her faction! The woman was dead, her body slumped over that table, soaked in her blood and ready to rot while more died and fought and... for what? Oh those Dominions! She was certain this was their doing. It had to be. They were the only ones blood thirsty enough to pull such a stunt and sacrifice their own. There was no other explanation in her mind. And the thought chilled her to her very core.

Monsters! All of them!

As Sidra's pale eyes began to water, her body shaking with sobs at the thought of what had happened and what would most certainly be coming--so much unnecessary death--she suddenly caught sight of a blurred figure approaching. For a moment, her heart stopped and she let out a shout. Blinking her eyes, she realized it was the pilot who'd escorted both she and Callista earlier on, on board their transport. Oh, if she wasn't a refreshing sight to see! Immediately, she reached out for her, glad to see a fellow Solarian amidst the chaos. The sounds behind her curdled her blood, so she focused on the woman, putting her weight on her as she offered her assistance.

Sidra welcomed the aid, more than happy to take it. As it was, her legs felt numb and the nausea deep in the pit of her stomach was making her feel like she could retch at any moment. The sooner they got to their ship and away from planet Helion the better!

"Thank you," Sidra said to the pilot, her tiny hand grasping at her arm tightly as she followed her to their transport. The trek through the long corridor to the doors seemed endless, every step a burden. Just when she thought she couldn't go any further, they reached them and she could see the ship in the distance, the sight of it renewing her vigor. She set her jaw and took a deep breath, ready to run as fast as her legs would allow. How she longed for the void, to be away from this place. How she longed to be far away from the Dominion and the terrible onslaught that they'd started for everyone.

James watched as the ship landed in the 'Vibria' docking bay. He was on his feet and at the door before it had opened and moved quickly down the ramp as he made his way for the command deck. There was an ominous feeling in the air, everyone in the room knew what was on the surface. War was brewing and everyone knew it. Everyone was preparing for the worst, fighters being prepped, dropships being inspected for a 5th time, weapons being loaded and ready to be distributed. James moved quickly along the deck, dodging people who came at him as he made his way up the deck. The crew was running around, taking orders. James knew immediately that they we're aware of what had occurred on Helion. James stepped on the deck and saluted the captain.

The man turned and nodded. "At ease soldier, I heard some rumors that something went down on the planet and I want to hear it from you. What exactly happened?" the captain questioned. The man had a grim look on his face. He wanted to hear desperately that things didn't occur the way they did. The last thing they needed was a war. He wasn't interested in going to war with any of the factions. The Solarian's had them locked in with their navies. The Dominion's ground forces were stronger, and the Novus' technology surpassed anyone of them.

James sighed and ran a hand through his hair, explaining carefully what happened on Hyperion. James sighed as he soon finished. "That's about it. I can't give you any more details then that. If you ask me, we're going to war very soon and it's gonna be very bloody" he said. He sighed as he relaxed.

The captain sighed and nodded. "I figured as much, we're going to be heading to war then" he said. He motioned to a hollow map and showed James a specific region, the edge of Terran space just over looking the Dominion. "The Dominion have begun gathering at the fringe of Terran space. From the reports we're getting, the Dominion have started their move on the planet of Angel Harbor. If we lose Angel Harbor we're going to lose our gateway against the Dominion. Your going to be reassigned to the 'Achilles' and will be on your way to Angel Harbor with the rest of the fleet" he said.

James nodded. He was gonna see some combat, he wasn't looking forward to fighting the Dominion but it wasn't impossible. James saluted. "I'll be on the 'Achilles' immediately" he said. James made his way down to the barracks, gathering his gear as the ship entered warp. The Terran Fleet was gathered and ready to aid in the defense of Angel Harbor. James boarded the shuttle to the 'Achilles' along with the rest of the Helljumpers.

On the other side of the planet was the Dominion. The ships were hulking and ready to engage the Terran fleet should the Terran's warp in. From the docking bays flew thousands of Grendal's. They only needed to take the capital city. Once it was under their control, the rest of the planet would fall. Among the fleet was the 'Freyja', the flag ship of the invasion and the ship harboring the warrior "Njord". He was tasked with leading the invasion. He was under the command of Gregor Martell. A Dominion Warlord who had led more then his fair share of invasions. "Remember your mission Skallagrim, you are to take the planet quickly. Blood and Honor are yours this day" he said as the warrior's Grendal prepared to take off.

As the Solarian's left the planet they would board the 'Apsis'. The engines began to hum, preparing for a jump to Solarian space. As the dropship boarded, a messenger approached Sidra, relaying that the captain wished to speak to her. As Sidra got out of the dropship and made her way to the deck. A well aged man looked to her and offered a tired and weary smile. "Sidra, it's good to see you aboard. Please, take a seat" he said, motioning to the seat closest to him.

The Docking Commander watched as the shuttle landed, watching as only one of the emissaries left, the pilot climbing out along with the marines. The man smiled. The man was tall and thin, a sign he'd been born on a low gravity world. He made his way to Ayana and smiled. "It's good to see you made it back in one piece. How'd it go? From what I heard it had gone to hell but I want to hear it from your mouth" he said gently. He knew that things had gone to hell but he needed to hear it. The pilots were prepping their ships, everyone was on edge and the fleet was about to warp to Solarian controlled space.

N-02-117 Ran to the most likely building that held the sniper and quickly climbed to the most likely room. The whole building was oddly abandoned, the sniper having fired his shots then disappearing. The foolish human had even left the gun here though it looked nothing like the main faction weapons this unit had seen before, and The Novus had seen all of weapons in the universe.

This little side objective had been fruitless but necessary. Collecting the gun, N-02-117 runs back to this unit's drop ship, taking a few shots in this unit's direction as he does so. Climbing aboard, this unit struggles to get back to the Infinity but makes it and immediately heads for Repairs, pointing at the back of his head the entire way so the technicians would be prepared to repair or replace this units head.

A few minutes and new head later, N-02-117 quickly relays everything that happened after the head shots to the Novus whole. Prepare for defensive wars we must the Novus all agree on in seconds and the Infinity turns and jumps back to Novus space, the rest of the fleets moving into Alpha defense positions.

--------------------------

The marines weren't far behind when Pilot and Aide made their way up the boarding ramp and into the dropship. With a grunt of exertion and a muttered apology Ayana shrugged the other woman off of her, hurrying forwards to the cockpit. The ship rumbled to life as she depressed the activation switch, doing a strange sort of dance as she struggled into her chair and worked the craft's controls at the same time.

"Strap in!" Mere milliseconds passed between shudder that passed though the ship as the ramp closed and the rumble of the engines growing to a roar as she brought the throttle forwards, the ship springing upwards to wing it's way towards the stars where The Apsis was waiting for them. Enemy contacts appeared on her Radar but they were moving away, the other ambassadorial craft speeding towards their respective ships or preparing to jump as they left the atmosphere. Ayana breathed a sigh of relief as they punched through the upper layers of the clouds and sighted upon the distant Solarian insignia. Coming home...

By the time the small shuttle came to a screeching halt in the landing bay they were already preparing to be underway. Smiling, Ayana released the restraints on her chair and drifted aft in the smaller ship. "Everyone alright?" It was a courtesy more than anything as she pushed off a bulkhead and slipped out the opening hatch, scanning the room for her commander as crew and officials pushed off towards the dropship with urgent motions.

Sidra didn't waste any time and followed the pilot the transport ship that would hopefully immediately take flight from what had once been a planet for discussion and negotiation, but had turned into one of chaos and blood red carpets staining the floors beneath lifeless bodies. Bodies of people hoping to gain understanding--even if shaky, at best--a truce, something! Now, it was mayhem! An onslaught filled with discord and a cacophony of sound that hurt her ears, made her wince as she ran up the ramp and strapped herself in. Her pulse raced as they took flight, leaving planet Helion in their wake and the blood shed behind.

War. It was imminent now. A given.

A chill ran down Sidra's spine as her thoughts turned to Samson. Her brother would be in danger now, leaving her more alone than ever, his life on the line. She wanted to crawl into her bed back on 'The Apsis', bury herself within the sheets and cry. It was inevitable though. He served the Solarians and did so with pride and for that, she was proud of him. But now, with things as they were... she envisioned Callista Eagan's body slumping over, the crimson liquid seeping from her small frame as the life flickered from her face, her eyes dead, mirroring... nothing. Would that be Samson's fate? It had been her father's.

Curse those damned Dominions! This was their fault! All of it!

Sidra could feel the tears pricking her eyes as they reached 'The Apsis', the small ship docking and finally ready for them to deboard. She was grateful for the familiar sense of artificial gravity. It was easier to move on the cruiser than on the planet's surface below. Smoothing out her dark skirt, she hurried off onto the ship, her mind set on returning to her quarters where she'd feel safer for the time being until summoned. As she began to head off, she was halted, her breath catching in her throat since her nerves were high due to the incident she'd just endured back on Helion.

"Yes, thank you," Sidra answered in reply to the messenger. Just her luck that her summons came so quickly. She had no time to process the events that had just transpired. No time to contact Samson. Nothing.

Swallowing hard, Sidra gathered up her courage and quickly made her way to the deck. The trek seemed endless and with each step she took, her anxiety seemed to grow as did her hatred for the Dominions who'd placed them in this situation. If only they hadn't been so rash, so bold, so...! Oh, she wanted to scream, to shout! She just didn't understand why those barbarians couldn't leave them alone!

Frustrated and furious, Sidra finally saw the captain. Her tummy fluttered with nerves, a bit worried about what might be coming given the turn of events back on Helion. As she approached the man, she looked up at him with pale eyes and smiled. Giving a polite curtsy, she answered, "I-I'm as good as can be expected, sir." She frowned then as she thought of the emissary, of everyone. Swallowing hard, her tiny hands clutched at her dark skirts and she moved to sit down. Once seated, she brushed her auburn hair over a shoulder and bit down on her lower lip nervously. Just what did the captain want with her? Just what was going to happen now?

If Sidra had her way, they'd fight back against the Dominions. Show them that they won't take being harassed by such scare tactics. It was impulsive, she knew... but she couldn't help it. They deserved her wrath. It was simple as that.

"Congratulations piss ants, this is your last week."

A line of young men stood at attention with their hands to their sides, toes pointed forward, hair cleanly cropped, cut, and clean shaven. The line had only 4 young men in it, they all remembered when there were 120 of them in the beginning. Long grueling weeks of physical training, mental break down, even physical abuse. Bruises were common, some recruits casted out of the program due to severe injuries, while others acquired illnesses and extreme emotional distress.

The Petra Unit was known for its unconventional methods of breaking down soldiers and molding them into weapons. The units had a unique quote and creed they followed, "We tear the flesh off our bodies and replace it with stone."

"You four will now show the unit what exactly you have been able to retain through out all of this training, you will be briefed inside the Grendal. Move out!"

The four recruits turned toward the Grendal that now had just appeared over head and began its decline for landing on the strip of the compound that the recruits had been barracked at for a year now, in fact Vincent's special operations unit before Petra would not even be able to recognize him if he returned today. When the Grendal landed, the four began their jog to the back compartment, a heavy door slowly opened with the use of hydraulics. A large Dominion soldier was already on board the Grendal holding onto one of the rings that decorated a over head pole, which was directly connected to the ceiling inside and went as far as the seats inside would go.

"Gear up, Get down, and let's Get Moving!"

The recruits hustled aboard, there were four Petra Combat Uniforms, each with their own I.D. Number that identified which suit belonged to which recruit. These suits are fitted to the wearer so that everything is snug and customized to their specific body type. The suit itself is created by weaving nano fibers together which protects the wearer from extreme conditions, burns, hypothermia, and shrapnel resistant. There is reinforced weaving at the abdomen, chest, shins, forearms, elbows, and knee locations for even more durability and protection from combat situations. An exo-skeleton wraps around the legs of the wearer which enables for amplified muscular capabilities, stamina, strength, and reflexes in the legs.

The helmet contains a Heads Up Display of the geography and terrain in front of the soldier pin-pointing mission objective location through intelligence uplinks and has a head cam that will identify muzzle flash at 180 degrees forward of the soldier. This cam can lock on to enemy snipers or soldiers in cover, once the camera locks a red box will surround the figures proportions and display over the HUD. In addition the helmet has a rebreather allowing for a flow of oxygen to be maintained under conditions where oxygen is not plentiful enough for regular breathing.

It is a suit entirely designed for what the Petra Unit is used for, it can be applied to any tactical scenario and the bodies that are encased in these million dollar battle uniforms are of the top notch individuals that stand active in the Dominion Military.

Vincent was geared up and switched on his Heads Up Display, once all the lights came on in the dome piece he continued with reaching for his gloves and slipped them on until comfortable. The entire process took less than 2 minutes, he put his Standard Issue Rifle out in front of him and observed to make sure everything was in order. A magazine was already in place, the dust cover sealed, and optics were integrated with his own HUD. The barrels were threaded for silencers to be placed on during the transport. All four recruits checked rifles, equipment, and sidearms, sitting down in the seats lining the walls of the Grendal.

Large steel seat locks came down over the shoulders with a safety bar running across the chest, the seat is designed to take a May Day in atmosphere but not in orbit. Red lights ran blinked in unison across the top of the Grendal to indicate that the drop ship was not at its destination and everything was locked up. These lights would switch to green once the back door was open and the pilot gave the operating system that the units were good for departure.

The four recruits did not know exactly where they were headed but soon enough over their HUDs a q-box shot up or quick box. This quick box had a video attached to it which opened up with their senior commanding officer staring at them.

"Congratulations gentlemen, this will be your final test of Petrification, up until this point we have been weeding out those who were not suitable for such missions that we undertake for the Dominion. You four out of 120 recruits are all that is left, it goes to show how elite we really are, and how capable you are of out performing even the greatest of soldiers in the universe. Your mission is to infiltrate a underground silo, capture these three scientists, and escort them back to the surface, your exfil point is located 10 Klicks from the silos position. The silo is masked as a warehouse in the center of the city in where you will be dropped, this warehouse will be heavily guarded, with three law enforcement departments overlapping jurisdiction around the warehouse. You may not kill any of the guards, if compromised you are to use non-lethal means of defending yourself. The ammo you have just been equipped with by your field officer has been replaced with stun rounds. These rounds will break on contact and send an electrified jolt of energy through your targets body, only temporarily halting them and their motor functions. The guards will have live ammo, this operation is deniable by Dominion government and if you fail your lives will not be in our hands. Good luck!"

The three scientists came over the display one by one. The four recruits all digested what was just said over comms and at this point there was no turning back. This was the final test, and now they would understand why the Petra Unit is such a classified, mystique unit within the Dominions bulk military.

Operation Finale:

"Down...down..."

Tristan whispered over comms as he saw three guards talking to one another at the corner of the corridor. The recruits had dropped in just outside the city, hot wired a vehicle, and drove it just outside of the warehouse perimeter. They took to their feet and infiltrated passed a chain link fence through the use of PLC or Precision Laser Cutters. While moving into position to enter the west side of the warehouse they incapacitated two guards with the use of their hands in choking the targets. Once inside they found an emergency exit point for the silo below. Climbing down a ladder and moving through a maze of corridors followed.

"Vincent...eyes on the middle man, I have left, Jericho take right, Adrian you are taking point immediately as the three drop, smooth and fast gentlemen."

The four recruits took up position stacked behind one another, as soon as Tristan engaged to the left, Vincent would follow and fire at the middle, having Jericho to engage the right following the line, and then Adrian would creep up against the wall they were on and make that immediate left toward the targets, with Jericho following behind Adrian. Tristan would take point on the other side of the corridor creeping along the other wall with Vincent following him.

"On my signal,"

Tristan placed his hands up to give his go ahead, Adrian slapped the back of Jericho, Jericho slapped the back of Vincent, and Vincent slapped the back of Tristan to give the signal the entire team was ready as well. Tristan began moving into the open and fired two rounds down range, both rounds hitting the target to the left, Vincent followed firing two rounds hitting center mass of his target as intended, Jericho fired two rounds following Vincent's with the guard now turning toward the team but dropping before he could comprehend that rounds were already on him.

Adrian swiftly took position to check the left and right corridors spotting a guard who was placed in front of a door down the left corridor. This guard was moving toward a red light on the wall, Adrian snapped off three rounds, two rounds hit the guard and dropped him just before the red light. Adrian checked his corners and the left and right corridors were cleared, Adrian had Jericho hit his back side and they moved quickly around the corner of the right corridor. Tristan and Vincent were on the left wall and quickly moved around the left corner of the left corridor, they approached the down guard close to the red light and noticed an alarm system underneath the red light that the guard was gunning for.

Tristan and Vincent continued through and each of them took a side of the door that the guard had been posted at. The other team members reached Tristan and Vincent's location after clearing their side and slowly they tried opening the door. The door was sealed by a locking mechanism on the other side. D-Bombs were placed on the left side of the door due to the pin keyboard location on the right. D-Bombs are explosives encased in a Dome circular unit that keeps in the noise of the explosive and concentrates the blast toward the door. The flat surface is stuck on to the surface in which you want to punch through.

The D-Bombs were initiated and then Jericho went with a front kick to the steel door. The door itself came crashing down making a loud bang and the recruits entered clearing corners, personnel and all devices in the room. The three scientists were on the ground due to the blast beneath their laptops.

"Adrian, grab the Scientists, brief them quickly while we grab what we can of any data that we can salvage. We need to move quickly boys, that door is going to trigger a lot of activity here in a minute."

The recruits started scrambling for devices they could retrieve in hand and take with them during the exfil phase. They began getting the scientists together and in a line to begin their way back up to the surface and out into the city. Moving through corridors with exceptional speed even with baggage showed how well trained these men were, even as just recruits.

As they approached the ladder they descended into the silo from an alarm was triggered and voices began echoing through out the corridors. The halls were so close together and so many that pin pointing an origin of where the voices were coming from had been impossible. Unable to detect how close or how far the guards were, estimating how much longer they had until contact was not going to happen.

"Adrian up first, Vincent take our six, Jericho your up behind the three scientists, I will stay with Vincent and we will buy time for you to get out. Remember, they have live ammunition, stay safe men."

Vincent and Tristan both moved forward behind two walls, each soldier on both sides. The scientists were almost out of site before rounds began ricocheting in the room at the end of the hall where the ladder was. Guards were at the other end, Vincent peeked around a corner and snapped three rounds off, one round hitting a arm of one of the guards which dropped him into cover. Another guard rounded the corner only to meet fire coming from the barrel of Tristan, his shot was a direct hit in the throat, which would cause some serious throat soreness from the electrical burn after he woke up from the electric shock temporarily incapacitating him, keeping him right out of the fight.

The scientists reached top side, Jericho confirmed the surface was clear and that they needed to get their asses top side.

"Alright, Vincent this is your turn!"

Vincent nodded and doubled back to the ladder while Tristan laid down cover fire, once Vincent reached the ladder, he took up position on one knee and started his own suppressive fire. Tristan dropped back to Vincent's position, and Vincent began his climb up the ladder as more guards appeared down the corridor.

Tristan continued with firing off rounds to allow Vincent a smooth climb up, Vincent watched as Tristan turned around and looked up, just before starting his climb he tossed a flash bang down the corridor. The flash bang disoriented the guards and gave Tristan just enough time to get up the ladder. Tristan reached top side and as he brought himself to his feet a round ripped through the back of his armor, sending him to the cold surface of the warehouse.

"Fuck, Shit, get down! Get down! Enemy contact on the cat walks!" Bullets soared every which way, a storm of hell fire broke loose in the warehouse which also alarmed the law enforcement to take action and respond. The men were pinned in a storage room with two windows on either side of them and a door directly south of them. North was just a wall with computers, surrounded and unable to move quickly with a downed man they began contemplating what action they should pursue.

"Adrian, Jericho, we are going to have to move, there is cover along the walls of the warehouse with those big crates obstructing our enemies position. You two are going to run for it, Adrian take point, the VIPs will follow, and Jericho you take the six, they will not fire blindly at their own scientists."

The two nodded but hesitated, "what about you?"

Vincent looked at the two,

"I will have to find another way, but this is our best shot at a successful mission!"

The two nodded, and took combat breathes before running into the fray of bullets, Vincent posted his rifle through one of the shattered windows and popped off rounds again and again. Three guards down, four guards...and then crawled to the other side and posted again, two guards down, with one round of the guards bullets just skimming the frame of the window, sending Vincent into cover.

The others were out of sight, Vincent went to check his magazine, 4 rounds left, zero magazines left, and a sidearm with one extra magazine. Before he could turn to post again at the window, a guard had snuck up through the emergency exit ladder connecting to the silo below and threw a flash bang inside the room Vincent was held up in. The bang went off which did not disrupt his balance or hearing because of the helmet, but light overwhelmed the HUD. However, he clicked the button to have the helmet open up which gave him visibility in spotting the intruder.

The guard had his head pop back out to see the damage he caused, but when he did Vincent was already positioned behind him and swept his whole arm around the neck of the guard, Vincent dropped to his knees and arched his back to give a good squeeze and solidify his rear naked choke. The man struggled and slowly fell out of consciousness. Vincent dragged the guard up to the surface, his arms wrapped around the guys waist and he found the farthest corner from the door. Vincent crawled until his back hit the corner of the room and he shifted the guards body to cover most of his own. Vincent was going to wait until the other guards came in and for one last show down give them everything he had.

A sidearm laid down by his left waist, a rifle held in his right. Four rounds in the rifle, 32 rounds for the pistol.

What felt like eternity had finally arrived, two guards entered and with the room being so dark, they just noticed a guard sitting in the corner. They were more occupied with the down soldier in front of them. Tristan...even if Vincent survived from this test, how the hell could he trust a unit that allowed their own recruits to die. Ridiculous....

As soon as the guards shifted their gaze back to Vincent, he opened fire. Two immediately dropped before his own eyes, the stun rounds laying their affect on the guards. Sounds of other guards could be heard as one rushed into the room to check it out only to find two rounds hit him as well.

Vincent transitioned to the side arm, dropping the rifle, four guards made entry and two shots smacked into the guard being used as a meat shield. Vincent fired 8 hand gun rounds hitting three out of the four guards. The fourth one lined his shot up well as the other three were being picked off and dropped

Death is Welcomed

"Sargent..."

"Sargent..."

The light was so bright, nothing but haze and blur, where am I?

Vincent was unable to properly differentiate from what was what, his vision was depleted as was his hearing. A ringing sensation kept its key inside his ear and muffles of a voice could be heard but unregistered in who or what they were saying.

"Sgt. Argalus, everything Is going to be ok, your hearing will return within the hour, your sight will gradually increase over the next 30 minutes, just relax."

Vincent tilted his head over the right to identify who was speaking, it was a soft feminine voice but he could not see anything but blurred shapes. Nauseous and confused, he started to gag and followed was him throwing up over the side of his own bed. Vulnerable, that is how he felt and he did not enjoy the feeling of being out of control. He closed his eyes and tried to clear his mind, the good news was he had not been K.I.A., with whatever that was worth.

He still needed to figure out where he was, who had him, and if his team made it out alive.

"Sgt. Argalus..."

Vincent's eyes slowly opened once more as he had fell asleep, his vision was clear, he could understand the words being spoke even if he could not identify the voice wielding the words.

"Sargent, it's time for you to wake up."

Vincent looked at the young lady before him, "Where am I?", his palms came up to his head as he pressed them firmly on his forehead.

"Good Morning Sargent, you are in the Petra Unit Recovery Center, congratulations. Take a sip of this it will make your headache go away."

"No, what the hell do you mean -"
"Quiet down Sargent Argalus!"

A large figure walked through the door of the dorm room, the man was cladded in military recognitions and awards, he had gray hair which already signified his experience and a barrel chest with broad shoulders and a large head to mount those shoulders.

"You have questions, Vincent, I know, but they will wait as all questions can be answered if the appropriate time is given. You have 24 hours, at the end of this 24 hour period, I better see you at the bridge reporting for duty."

The barrel chested commander turned his back as a cape followed and walked outside of the room. Vincent looked over to his nurse and then relaxed in his bed before allowing himself some time to coop with what just happened.

Welcome Aboard the Inquisitor Spear

Vincent had been given a dress uniform that was black with crimson red trim, a pair of black shiny boots, and a gray beret. The beret is worn so that a small Petra Unit seal is off centered to the left of the head. All others on the ship either do not have a beret or wear a blue, white, or crimson red beret with their seals of specialty centered.

He was given quarters that contained a full-sized bed, desk, shelf, closet, kitchen, and refrigerator. He was stationed on the officers deck which had been two decks above the soldiers, and four decks above the workers. He placed everything in order in his room and had about 3 hours of solitude. The last hour he found himself caught up in a huge maze of metal with busy military personnel walking all around in tight halls. Finally getting correct directions and navigating wisely he entered the bridge where the decorated commander he had met before stood, an obvious less experienced officer stood next to him, and Tristan.

Vincent could not believe his eyes as he approached the group of men, all around the room people were tapping on computers, keyboards, and staring off into the space before them, a lot of this was surreal and overwhelming but not for a Petra soldier.

"Welcome Vincent, before you ask any questions let me debrief you on the current events that have taken place. The mission you were sent on for your test was not the mission you were told it was going to be. There were no live rounds involved, all of the ammunition were stun rounds. In order to make this as real as we can, we have to make you lose yourself in the scenario, to believe it is an actual mission, to forget that its a test. Did it feel real Vincent?""

Vincent scanned the room and it took a lot to not hit this fucking dude in the jaw but he understood what had to be done, a man will only know his true measure when he is faced with no other option than death itself. In order for a man to become immortal, he must first die a mortal and be reborn as something more.

Vincent allowed for everything that had been stirring in his mind to fall to the way side, the revelation created his persona to truly understand what it was to become apart of Petra. This was no ordinary unit, this unit is the Joker in the deck of the Dominion, they are not men, they are not soldiers, they are immortal, they are machines, they are weapons that can move, think, react, adapt, overcome, and destroy.

"Yes sir, it was real..."

The commander nodded, "Your team successfully completed the objective, although two of you were hit, you two understood the mission comes first. Adrian and Jericho made it to the exfil with all three of the VIPs. They are great soldiers, but they will be placed into other Petra Units aboard other ships. However you two were chosen to start a Petra Unit aboard this ship, Unit P757 with Lt. Kilborne as your chief operator in the unit, he will be waiting for you at the briefing room."

Vincent and Tristan looked at one another and acknowledged the achievement that they had accomplished together. They were also going to be the first unit that would only have three squad members.

James looked at the men who would be going with him. There was Art Van Dan (Or Art for short), their medic. He was younger then the rest, joining the Terran Army at the ripe age of 17 with the permission of his family. He and James had served together since his first day. Needless to say, the kid looked up to him. He had been pulled out of the fire plenty of times, and Art had more than proven his worth taking care of the rest. He had a freshly shaved head, the color of red. The boy looked nervous, his leg bouncing as it often did. Pre-invasion jitters. It was expected with a rookie. There was Mannix "Avalanche" Owens, their demolition expert. The man was rather large for the Helljumpers, only just barely making the cut. The man was a genius when it game to pyrotechnics and explosives. He has very short and spiky hair on the top of his head but the sides and back of his head were shaved off, a scar on his right eyebrow and a stubble on his jaw. The man was almost brutish, having a wide nose that was crooked slightly from getting broken one too many times. Kenrick "14K" Howe was their sharpshooter, using his jump jet to scale a building with ease or move along the rooftops, picking off targets to make way for the rest. He was a fast guy. He talked fast, he moved fast, he did everything fast. He had a shifty look about him as though he were looking for every possible way out of the room or building. The only time he was ever slow and methodical was when he was picking his targets and putting them down. The man had a small mohawk and looked around, checking his pockets.

Before them laid the Achilles, the massive Prometheus class carrier that would be their home away from home. James had to stop in wonder as he looked at all the ships. There were so many, more then he'd seen in one place before. And the funny thing was this wasn't even the entire Terran fleet. This was just a small portion. Hundreds of Carriers, Thousands of Battleships, Tens of Thousands of Corvettes and more smaller craft then you could imagine. They were really expecting heavy resistance. Why wouldn't they considering that the Dominion were on their doorstep and the Novus were silent. If both attacked the Terrans, there was no telling how short the fight would be. As the shuttle landed, the ships began to move. The deck was a buzz with people. Pilots running to their ships, engineers doing last minute checks, marines being directed to their dropships, MECs being loaded into their dropships. God this was truly a sight to behold. "Corporal Archer! You and your team will report to the dropship over there, you have your orders already" called a commanding officer. James nodded and looked to the men with him. A squad of 20 and he was in command of them. "Alright Jumpers! Move it out!" he called as the Jumpers ran for the dropship.

The Captain looked to her, studying her expression. She looked shaken, unsure of what was to come. He sighed gently. "I'm so sorry you had to go through what you did. I truly am. But I'm afraid you may have to deal with this more. The Solarian's are preparing for war and I fear it will be a bloody one. Your brother has volunteered to defend against the Dominion forces gathering at Hyperion and has spoken highly of you. I feel it would be best if you stayed with your brother, aiding him and the ship you will be aboard" he said softly.

To ask a Solarian to board another ship was no easy thing. You were born on the ship. You grew up on it, it was like leaving home on your own. Every ship was unique, it had it's own personality, and here this man was asking her to leave to help another ship. "I won't force you to leave but it is your choice. We need doctors and any able bodied hand at Hyperion. It is your call" he said gently. Hyperion was a harsh environment. The oxygen levels were low, requiring you to wear your EVO suit every time you weren't in a building and it only reached highs of -32ºC during the day, and lows of -61ºC at night. It was a harsh planet but it was rich in precious metals to build ships, weapons, armor, etc. Losing the planet would deal a massive blow to the Solarian's and would cripple them if it couldn't be held.

Name (Nickname): N-02-117 (Dracken)
Race: Novus.
Faction: Novus
Attire: Large grey black body standing at about 7 feet tall
Weapon: Wrist blade and 'Ark' rail gun, both hidden in the body
Location: The Infinity in orbit around Planet Hubble
Tagging: Novus

N-02-117 Still sat in the Repair garage as the Infinity came into orbit around Planet Hubble. This planet, like all other planets, had a specialty. This one was space research mostly. This unit would wait here on the Infinity as they waited for the Therum to come here for the pulling out of the "Deep Space Jump Elimination" system. A very large satellite drone that stops all faster then light movements near it. With the Dominion on a war prowl and the Terrans very jumpy and likely to make "preemptive strikes" to weaken the Novus, the Novus weren't taking any chances and needed their first lines of defense now.

In a matter of hours, the large Therum, carrier class ship, arrived and synced with the Infinity. Together they both activated their tractor-beamesque devices to pull out the DSJE 18. Ships not already in key defensive positions all over Novus space were pulling the 152 satellites to their positions. Eventually the Novus space borders would be no jump zones, but for the time being, only key outer planets and direct paths to inner planets were being blocked. The Novus central mind was its usual buzz of activity as all the units did their work, giving details as they did so and other Novus giving corrections where they were needed, but the ship to ship sync was starting to get louder as they neared where they would be dropping the satellite. alter course by 1.34 degrees port .....correction made N-04-324, reduce speed by 147 were common corrections. 5 hours later, the satellite was in place and ready to stop incoming ships.
