Watching Adam leave, Anne sighed and looked over to her daughter's room. It was crazy.
The next morning, Leigh woke up. She looked around, wondering how she got to what looked like her room. Groaning, she put a hand to her head and swallowed hard, turning onto her back. She had no recollection of what happened after she got to the party. All she knew was that she saw Sterling and he was more of a jerk like ever. And then the thought of Sterling caused her to sit up quick. She hoped to god they didn't do anything. And then the image of a furious Nathan flooded back into her mind. Oh no...he wasn't there, was he?
Stumbling out of bed, she instantly went for a shower. A nice shower got her all back to the land of the living and she stopped feeling so dead. It was a nice lukewarm shower and after about twenty minutes, she stepped out and wrapped her towel around her body. Drying herself and then her hair, she bundled it up in a sort of towel turban and then went to her room, pulling on fresh undergarments; a matching red bra and panties set. She had a think for the crimson colors and their respective related colors. Pulling on a pair of skinny jeans and a white and black plaid button down, she took her hair down from the towel turban and dried it a little bit more again and stood upright. She went to her bathroom and did her hair--blow drying it and straightening her bangs--and then went to grab her jacket. She saw Nathan's Letterman. Grabbing it, she put that on and then walked downstairs. "Hey mom."
"Leighton Anne Forbes!" Thank god her father was already at work.
"What's with the full and middle name?" She asked, startled almost to death.
"What the hell happened to you last night?"
"What?" She asked.
"A boy brought you home and you looked half dead and supposed had a hurt ankle which I see is fine now?" Anne asked.
"What? Mom what are you talking about? What happened last night?"
Anne didn't say anything. That was odd. Shaking her head, she just handed her a strudel and sent her off. "Go to school. Be safe."
Thinking that Nathan was already outside, she walked out, wearing his jacket but saw no one there yet. Biting her lower lip, she took out her phone and text him. Hey, I thought I was seeing you before school? As far as she knew, she and Nathan were alright. Clearly, she had no idea what she was in for.
